The food was delicious again, the spareribs outstanding. All tables occupied, only one waiter, but everything ran like clockwork! Amazing!

Found this online just by chance, but what a lovely and cozy place this is! When making the reservation, I asked for a quiet spot and that is exactly what we got; nice and snug together in an alcove (on our wedding anniversary), we had a wonderful evening! Both the food and the service were top-notch, the atmosphere is relaxed, and the music is great too. We will definitely be back here again! 😁👍

The food was not good. In the end, we just left the vast majority of it. The salad bar was a farce. After the staff member asked if it was tasty, we clearly said no. When we asked if they were going to do anything with it, she said: "Not anymore," after which she resolutely picked up the still full bowls and walked away as if it were the most normal thing in the world.

Where do I even begin.... Starter: spicy prawns... but these were floating in a bowl full of greasy sauce... we couldn't taste the prawns anymore. Main course: Floating chicory, overloaded with a sort of white cheese sauce..... no 'fried' potatoes but a bowl full of deep-fried potato chunks, glistening with grease. Dry rice, a rare steak that should have been medium, a 'salad bar' that contains no salad but a collection of stale produce. And as the cherry on top, a waitress responding to our comment that it wasn't tasty and asking if she was going to do something about it, said: no, maybe if you had mentioned it earlier. When then? Even before it was served? The love is clearly gone. What a shame for us, I haven't eaten this badly in years. But also a shame for the staff. You can't practice your profession with love like that... Do not visit.

We had to wait 45 minutes for our food in a half-empty restaurant. And the food really wasn't good. Soggy schnitzel and a salad bar made from jars. And if you order a beer, you get one that's half foam. Sorry, but that's just unacceptable!

Had a delicious meal, highly recommended. The food looked delicious and tasted great: schnitzel, satay, and liver. Salad bar had a wide selection and was very fresh. The rhubarb and chicory were delicious. Served with fried potatoes and fries. Definitely recommended, we will be back.

Beautiful restaurant with a theme, as the name suggests, of witches, witches, and more witches. And the food is amazing too. If you are on Terschelling, you MUST visit here, especially with children. Wildly popular, and it can get very busy here during the season. Reservations are necessary. The spareribs slid right off the bone and were deliciously tender and perfectly seasoned. And the steak was also beautifully medium and tender.

Very dusty, crowded atmosphere. Food seems to come from frozen supermarket packages. No taste, no decoration. Tired, angry, and busy staff. Not recommended.

It's all pretty mediocre. We ate here with five people, 4x carpaccio, no taste, no cheese, just a weird little drop of something resembling sauce. The mushrooms with garlic cheese were swimming in butter juice. A whole bowl full. The main course was literally as described earlier, only your meat is served on a large flat plate. Salad bar bad, dried-out lettuce, a bowl of bar snacks, everything from a can or jar. The chicory with the main course was swimming in juice too. Rhubarb or something indefinable as well. We left it all untouched. The staff is curt and the waitresses are vulgar and have an attitude. In short, not a good experience. Would not recommend it. The whole place isn't really clean either. Dirty stains on the wall next to your table. Uninviting place!

The food is good but basic. The chicory and rhubarb look and taste like they have been reheated 50 times. You have to pay extra for sauces, even with your meat. I just got a white plate with a ribeye. There was nothing else on it. For starters, I had a carpaccio. This was the worst I have ever eaten. No pesto or truffle dressing. It was just a handful of arugula with carpaccio and some flakes of cheese, and that was it. In the salad bar, almost everything comes from a jar or can: stewed pears, corn, red cabbage, fruit, etc. Upon arrival, you are asked if you want a drink. After that, not again. The service is not very friendly. In short, I hope whoever reads this books a different restaurant. We, in any case, would never go here again.

Delicious food, fast service, large portions. The tenderloin steak was super tender!

The concept, a restaurant decorated with all sorts of witches, is fun. The host is friendly. Only in the kitchen does all the passion for the craft seem to have vanished. The menu isn't keeping up with the times, and too many shortcuts are taken. Guacamole comes from a jar, sauces from a package, a choice of three teas presented in a beer-branded container, mediocre wines on the menu, and the salad bar looks uninspired (one container is even filled with nuts).

The cheese fondue is truly delicious! The owner is always friendly, and it's our favorite spot for takeout or a casual dinner out. The salad buffet is delicious! Simply delicious and cozy.

A very extensive menu, reasonable prices, and simply delicious food. Main courses come with a variety of side dishes and vegetables (salad bar!) at no extra charge. Very friendly service, too. Highly recommended!

Take your time!! The service was two people, overflowing with guests. They were literally running themselves ragged, but they didn't mind that we had to wait almost an hour for our food. We were having a good time together, so the time flew by. But it didn't dampen our appetite. We weren't asked for a second drink; the food arrived only when we asked how long it would be. The food was truly excellent, very tasty, and the table was full. All in all, we were seated for almost 2.5 hours. Jokes about losing the magic wand or that the salmon we ordered was still on the boat kept coming. A small tip: an extra person in the kitchen or service would be helpful if there were more staff available.

Really delicious food, I highly recommend the spareribs. Eel, or for those with a spicy tooth, the spicy sparerib. It's delicious and the service is great. You're helped right away, and they're very hospitable.

The entire restaurant is themed around witches...the food is excellent, with a salad bar where you can serve yourself as much as you like. The rhubarb compote was delicious, and the spare ribs were excellent.

Delicious food. The rhubarb and the chicory, steak tips, scampi, meat with mushrooms, vegetarian dish with corn on the cob, everything was prepared perfectly. Smooth service and our dog immediately got a bowl of water. Good price-quality ratio.

14-03-25 we had dinner here. Our faithful four-legged friend could come along, that was no problem at all. I do recommend making a reservation, it was busy! Food was fine, service good, friendly, not long waiting. Fine evening dining.

Food was good but served a bit lukewarm due to crowds. Simply but comfortably furnished.

Booked more than a week in advance and were assigned a seat in the aisle next to the buffet corner. Just not in the toilet yet. According to the uninterested staff member, another table was not possible. Was reserved for acquaintances. So be careful of this before you make your reservation, this is not really a good start to a holiday. Fortunately, there are more restaurants with friendly staff

Been coming here for years. Always good food and a pleasant environment. Delicious vegetables such as rhubarb and chicory with the dishes. That alone is great! Highly recommended!!!

Delicious food, for a great price! We were very surprised by the products delivered in addition to the main course, for example rhubarb, we used to eat it at grandma's house and here again, it was delicious! Our experience at this restaurant was not that good. The food seemed a bit expensive in relation to what we got. In particular, the kids menu promised a hamburger, but what we got was just the meat patty with no bun, accompanied by a few fries and no extra accompaniments, which was quite disappointing. The place is a bit small and during peak hours it can be quite busy, which makes service difficult. Unfortunately we only went there once and we don't plan to come back because of these drawbacks.

Top Restaurant with delicious food...fresh and in abundance.

For us, a dinner at the Heksenketel is part of a visit to Terschelling. A cozy family restaurant with a delicious menu. As a small child this was quite an experience. Good portions, tasty, made and served with love. The prawns (preferably unpeeled) are my absolute favorite. Until next time :)

Of all the places we ate on Terschelling, this was my favorite. I also got rhubarb and chicory. I thought that was so nostalgic😂. I like easy and am easily satisfied. But if you bring someone with you who, for example, has completed catering school (like my daughter), you will hear what has been warmed up, etc. It didn't interest me. I liked it and you also get a nice portion of this holiday. Just enjoying.

Arrogant staff, impossible to talk to. The food was also very poor (see photo). It also took a very long time to get our food. (Long wait for starter and another 45 minutes for main course). Unfortunately, the hygiene of the toilets was also not up to standard. In short, don't go here. Where witches' cauldron in Ameland was perfect. This was the opposite. Not recommended, staff arrogant until you have to pay. Waited a VERY long time for the food, which was (and looked) unappetizing.

Worn the witch's cauldron twice during the last holiday! Ate once on site and it was very good! Portions are good and very tasty! We had dinner there with 6 people, and we all had something different. So I saw and tasted many dishes, and they were all delicious! The 2nd time I used the witch's cauldron was to collect. This was again good, and the portion size was perfectly fine! In short, we had a good meal both times! And will definitely come back as soon as we go to Terschelling again!

Spent a week working on the island and last 2 days at the witch's cauldron, definitely recommended if you are on the island. Very good and tasty food! And for a good affordable price, of course, we remain Dutch! Until next time!!

Friendly people, tasty liver, good service

The food wasn't that good. Started with a nacho dish that looked more like a cobbled together student snack than something you serve in a restaurant. Then came the cordon bleu, which was a schnitzel topped with melted cheese and a piece of ham. The schnitzel was cut in half and the other half was placed on top of the melted cheese to make it look somewhat like a cordon bleu, but there was nothing to do with it. Staff was very friendly, but this was really unacceptable in terms of food.

Prima service en vriendelijke bediening. Echter wel heel jammer als je de kaasfondue besteld zonder wijn (werd aangegeven dat dit geen probleem is) dat het toch gewoon met wijn gemaakt wordt. Prijs is oké voor de hoeveelheid eten.

Gemütliches Lokal, netter Tisch mit Platz für den Hund (vorher reserviert), freundlicher Service. Gutes und reichhaltiges Essen, Steaks (medium und rare bestellt) perfekt gebraten, mit Ofenkartoffel/Pommes, Champignonrahmsauce/Kräuterbutter, Gemüse und Salat.

Heerlijke pittige spareribs en vriendelijk personeel!!

Wij komen hier best vaak. Je krijgt wat je verwacht en verder geen poeha. Neem zelf vaak de T-bone steak en die mag er wezen. Het is een gezellig restaurant met bijzonder vriendelijke bediening.

Lekker gegeten, goeie porties eten. En een salade buffet om je bordje aan te vullen met fruit en groenten. vlotte en vriendelijke bediening. Plek om buiten (verwarmd) te zitten. De sfeer is goed en met alle heksen is het net even anders wat het ook leuk maakt. (maar niet op een enge manier)

Het eten was prima, respect voor de bediening...met z'n tweeën liepen ze af en aan terwijl het best druk was.

Het restaurant ziet er heel gezellig uit, maar het eten was matig. Kaasfondue smaakte nog slechter dan uit een pakje uit de supermarkt, "verse groente" was waterige witlof en zoete rabarber. Het eten kwam zo snel dat je nog geen half drankje kon opdrinken en de schnitzel was smakeloos. Alleen de spareribs, patatjes en saladebar waren echt lekker. Wij waren met een grote vriendengroep en afentoe beetje onduidelijk, daar leek de bediening niet heel blij mee te zijn. Kan mij voorstellen dat het een prettiger ervaring is als je met z'n 2en komt
