Definitely my favorite Thai restaurant. The food is very good, and the prices aren't too high. A restaurant with a long tradition, from what I remember, over 40 years of experience. A dedicated chef, Ed, and a smiling waitress. Best regards!

Food was superb authentic and properly served hot and fresh. Service was professional and friendly, especially because we didn’t order alcohol. They were particularly busy, but there was enough room and time allotted to enjoy our food. We especially appreciated the kindness of the chef/owner.

We ate in Rakang Thai for the first time. The staff were nice although not very hygiene minded (little ambrella fell on the floor only to be put back in the glass of juice, holding glasses from the inside..). The starters were good, although we asked for non spicy for the kids and one of the salads was super spicy. Pad Thai was nice! The most problematic thing was with the fish in red curry sauce. This was fish jerky! Extremely dry, to the point it was inedible. I informed the staff right away but after 15 minutes with no reaction, I had to inform another staff member. The answer was that this is the way it is supposed to be and that's the way Surinamese eat it. In a Thai restaurant?? The dish was fully charged. They offered me a beer, which I thankfully declined. Stay away from Surinamese fish in Thai restaurants..

Terribly delicious food.. beautiful flavors, delicious dishes. A few other beer choices would make it perfect, dry stout, extra stout, double or autumn bock and the party is complete!

You always eat well here, whatever you choose. And the host is great, super friendly, always up for a chat.

Eindelijk hier eens gegeten op een warme (na)zomeravond, 21 september. Het was binnen zo goed als vol (en nogal warm) dus kozen we tafeltje voor de zaak. Wij kozen beiden de kip masaman curry,met zoete aardappel. Mild kruidig. Thais biertje en witte wijn erbij. Genoten! De bediening is heel vriendelijk. Hier eten is zeker een aanrader. Wij komen gauw terug met vrienden of de kinderen!

What a wonderful restaurant. Delicious in terms of food, but also in terms of atmosphere. Personal and attentive. We chose a three course menu and enjoyed it. Wonderfully fresh and sufficient... what a pleasant surprise on the Beeklaan.

On a rainy day (of which there are an endless variety in The Hague, choose any one) it was very warm and cozy here. Beautiful presentation, tasty and quite Thai. Shrimp with cashews, Tom Kha, wine and mango with sweet rice pudding for dessert reconciled us to the bad weather.

It's a lovely place and the curries were lovely - we just wondered why we got so little rice with our two dishes (one portion?) Is it not included? Should we have ordered extra? Pity to have such a nice curry and not enough rice to eat it with!

Pretty descent Thai food. Friendly service. Good to see there are also non halal Thai places with pork on the menu! Take out menu is a lot cheaper than dine in menu which I could not find on their website. Would be amazing if they add crispy pork belly with holy basil to the menu.

Food was delicious and the waiter was very friendly, it took a long time before you got your food, hence the 4 stars. But other than that it was very good.

Haven't eaten here for a long time, so I'll give it another try. Absolutely no regrets as the food was delicious. We had beef with basil, chicken with cashew nuts, fish and some vegetable dishes. Everything tastes good and authentic. I would do the furnishing differently at this time. It is now a large fishbowl, but can be much more cozy with benches, decorative partitions and more plants. The website also needs to be updated. The prices do not correspond to the prices of the card. All in all, highly recommended to eat there. I will definitely come back soon.

Heerlijk Thais restaurant in informele sfeer aan de beeklaan. Eigenaar erg vriendelijk en bediening super. Maakt zo nu en dan een grapje maar regelt alles tot in de puntjes. Eten was zeer lekker, staat goed aangegeven of iets pittig of erg pittig is. Dat is wel fijn.

Wij zijn er 50ste verjaardag van een vriendin gevierd. Binnen was een beetje warm, buiten gezeten. Goede service. Voortreffelijke eten. Aardig personeel. Eenvoudig interieur. Zeker aanrader om af te halen .

Heerlijk eten, er is totaal geen haast en dat moet je liggen.

Once in a while, I visit and take someone with me who has never had Thai food before. They end up loving it. Quality is high and never changed, not even during and after the COVID locksowns. Staff is always friendly. It's a family run, small, local restaurant, not chique in any way, but I'd go there rather than a luxurious place, any time.

Ik had op mijn verjaardag trek in Thais. Dus ik zocht op Google naar Thaise restaurants in Den Haag en kwam ik Rakang Thai tegen. Ik ben blij dat ik Rakang Thai ben gaan proberen. Wat was het eten verrukkelijk!! De groene curry en de rode curry waren zo yammie. Bedankt!! Kan niet wachten om weer eten te halen!

Met vrienden daar gegeten Dennis een hele goede vriend van mij had gereserveerd en we hadden een super mooie plek bij het raam en ik vind het een mooie inrichting voor mijn gevoel huiselijk. Lekker gegeten ik had met Tineke het menu B genomen heb heerlijk gesmuld vooraf een viskoekje en daarna reepjes biefstuk en grote garnalen en als dessert kleefrijst met mango. Ik zou dit restaurant wel meer sterren willen geven service was uitstekend personeel heel vriendelijk. Raad dit restaurant echt aan echt top

Dit is echt 'een find' zoals dat heet. Heerlijk eten, goede porties (je wilt altijd wat overhouden voor de volgende dag natuurlijk) en ze kunnen ook goed omgaan met allergiën. Wij bestellen tegenwoordig maandelijks.

De porties zijn goed en het personeel is heel vriendelijk. De smaak is helaas vernederlands en niet authentiek Thais. Massaman curry besteld. De smaak wat te zoet, er zat veel suiker in en geen noten. Ik was best teleurgesteld want in het verleden was het eten hier beter.

Rakang Thai zit al jaren op de Beeklaan en is een bekend buurtrestaurant. Het zou me niets verbazen als mensen van veel verder ook naar het restaurant komen want het eten is echt lekker. Het is ons vaste adresje als we zelf even geen zin hebben om te koken. Uitgebreide takaeway kaart. Goede porties, aardige mensen. Absoluut niet duur voor heel lekker eten.
