Red Chillies in Oude Pijp

Recently visited them. Decent curries for an international but for indians it must be catered accordingly, the butter chicken was too sweet and tasted ketchup. I think you must try a different recipe. Appreciate staying back late for my parent's wedding anniversary.

The worst!! Please don't order form here. We ordered from the uber and the uber person was very sweet to talk and explain this is exactly what he received from the restaurant. We called the restaurant and mentioned everything. They were rude , they said we can't do anything since it's late. More so they don't care!! Called them the next day to initiate a refund. They refused and started being very very rude. This is how Indians are treated outside by Indians itself! We don't even care about the refund, it's the attitude of the owner which made us feel so made about ourselves. The least we expect is the right order ( we ordered one dal makhani which was buy one get one which comes with naan and one biryani and we do 2 biryani for some reason 2 raita and 2 dal makhani and no naan or extra rice) . Hats off to this place for running a buisness if this is how they treat their customers

It was a lovely meal, the butter chicken, garlic Naan bread and garlic chicken tikki masala were amazing and very well prepared!

Authentic Indian food. Awesome taste. Good portions Ps - Much better than Sarvana Bhavan next door which is overpriced with poor quality and taste.

Absolutely avoid. We order and specify that neither of us can eat spicy; we wait an hour for two dishes, both super spicy. No one apologized, we got up and left.

As an Indian, I would not recommend the food here: - Butter chicken gravy was quite gross. Almost tasted like they added ketchup type sauce or sugar. It had a syrup-like consistency. - Palak paneer was okay. Quality of paneer was average and the spinach seemed prepared from the freezer. Tasted creamy and properly spiced. - Naan was good. Flaky and chared well. Preparation and delivery via Uber Eats was very efficient.

The menu said Heineken for €3, but we paid €5.50 per beer according to the receipt. Noticed too late. There was also an annoying beep and the decoration could also be improved. Food was fine.

I consumed this some time ago via Groups for 2 people. And we were not allowed to sit inside, the food was still edible. We were forced to take it with us while they were lying that you could eat inside. The boss was suddenly not present; it was still full inside or something. 3 x nothing and definitely a letdown and not recommended!!

The food is very good, but prices and offers online are cheaper for the same restaurant and even have a higher volume (amount). Also I'm not sure if they increased my invoice intentionally but I asked for itemized invoice and got reduced by few euros .

We stopped in for lunch and were thrilled with this hidden gem. The paneer jalfreezi, chicken tikka, and garlic naan were seriously some of the best I’ve had! Stop in before the market!

We didn’t make prebooking but still luckily got the table. I recommend to pre-book the table before you go because you might not get the table. This restaurant is suitable for small group. They have seating capacity in two floors but not suitable for big groups. We thoroughly enjoyed eating here. We tried the bot veg and non veg dishes and liked those. Cozy interiors. Only thing I don’t like is the bill which was not the printed bill but written by hand. You can pay by cash or card though. Butter chicken w rice + garlic Naan was incredible!

This nice Indian resturant located just next to sarvana bhavan Amsterdam. We order veg Manchurian & Pav bhaji as a starter, it was very tasty & flavourful. Main course, we order chicken tikka masala, it was hearlijk lekker / was delicious! Garlic naan is very tasty over tandoori naan !

Excellent customer service, friendly staff, the place was clean. Food was great- pani puri was amazingly good, butter naan was super soft, fresh right from the tandoor! The dahi paneer was little sweet for us but was good!

Food was decent but if you are visiting them, be sure to get the red/white menu. They have two menus and the other menu has higher prices (€1-2 more for each item).

We just happened upon this restaurant and loved the authentic flavours so much that we returned multiple times. The Dal soup is great, the Butter Chicken has large pieces of poultry and the vegetable curry rounded off a great dinner for two, with rice of course.

Comida deliciosa, local muito acolhedor, empregada de mesa muito simpática. Tipicamente indiano. Pedimos caril de peixe, caril de camarão, caril de frango e cordeiro. Os 4 estavam deliciosos! Os acompanhamentos dos pratos podem ser escolhidos entre arroz ou o pão deles. Escolhemos 2 pratos com arroz e outros 2 com pao. Para acompanhar bebemos vinho branco. Uma nota de atenção para quem nao aprecia picante. Para quem não gosta de picante é melhor perguntar antes se existem pratos sem picante.

Nice food - actually one of the best Indian food places as it hasn’t made it into a “not-to-spicy-because-the-locals-won’t-like-it.”. Saw that some reviews mentioned an unfriendly service, but in fact, they were very friendly. Will definitely go again!

One of the best Indian restaurant in Amsterdam!! Ambiance is good and service is excellent. Butter Chicken and Chole Bathure and last not the least Pani puri which gives a feel of india. All dishes were delicious and tasty 😋 Must visit this place!! Highly recommend.

Food was okay, but probably microwaved as it all came out in 5 minutes. our overall evening meal lasted all of 25 minutes in and out. Sadly there is no atmosphere inside the restaurant such as no music. Also glass and fork had marks on. The lady serving was nice.

The restaurant is very cozy, clean and the staff is very available for any customers’ need. The area is central so it’s easy to get to the place. Food is delicious, and the prices definitely affordable. I would recommend it!!

Very nice food and super friendly staff!!! After having a lovely evening at the restaurant with delicious dishes, we recognisted at home, that I payed too much. So I texted them and they did send me the money back without being complicated! Thanks again!

We came as a couple for the first time at this restaurant for a lunch and were so disappointed with the delayed service. It almost took around 50 minutes for our food to be prepared. We merely order one starter and one main dish. When asked for th delay, the owner said to us that you ordered Egg Kathi Roll and hence we needed to boil eggs which took so long! What an excuse! Also, this restaurant has increased their prices not matching the with the Fork rates and they also do not provide discount on complete a la carte but only on some selected dishes. Not recommended!

Finally found the Indian taste I was looking for, naan were perfectly cooked, Dal makhni was just lip smacking delicious. I did a takeaway. The order was ready and I didn’t have to wait too long. The food was fresh. Thumbs up👍🏻. I would like to add the owner is very friendly the staff is really good, the ambiance ,the location is prefect. Can’t way to visit again.

Eines der Leckersten Indischen Restaurants!! Ich habe schon sehr viel Indische Restaurants ausprobiert aber der hier ist mit Abstand das Beste ! Alles wird Frisch zubereitet, Demnach dauert es auch etwas bis das essen kommt. Service ist auch gut und nervt einen nicht. Kann ich nur Empfehlen.

Food was all good. Soup was bit sour but good service.

We tried to find this restaurant but when we reached the google location, it turned out that its just a kitchen and they also don’t have a contact number - so we were confused and weren’t sure what to expect. However, we decided to order food for delivery and it exceeded all expectations initially ! We ordered samosa, Amritsari chola kulcha and rajma chawal and all were out of the world. Their food is sometimes quite flavorful and authentic. However, Sometimes it can be oily and if you order online, they end up giving an entirely different dish- so they can be inconsistent. Sometimes its good and sometimes really not.

Excellent chhole bhature. Decent paani poori (probably the best you can get in NL) and good paneer dishes.
