Roti House in Holendrecht/Reigersbos

I am truly incredibly disappointed with my order. The roti had already completely leaked upon arrival. The sauce was everywhere: in the bag, all over the packaging, and even on the other products. It seemed as if the packaging was completely unsuitable for transporting this dish. As a result, the food was not only a huge mess but also much less tasty. What made it even worse was the delivery driver's attitude. He clearly saw that everything was leaking but did absolutely nothing about it. No apologies, no attempt to offer a solution, or even to ask if everything was still okay. He handed over the order as if nothing was wrong. The most uncomfortable moment was that the delivery driver then seemed to stare at me for minutes on end. It felt like he was looking right through me, straight into my soul. That only made the whole situation stranger and more uncomfortable. All in all, this was a very bad experience. A leaking meal, poor packaging, and a delivery driver who took absolutely no initiative to resolve the situation. I had expected much more and won't be ordering from here again anytime soon.

Well... if you're used to Roep Raam but want to try something different for a change... Indians make roti differently than Surinamese Hindustanis, but I do think it depends on what you're used to. I'm used to Surinamese Hindustanis, and I'm just going back to Amsterdam East.

Delicious roti and highly recommended! The chicken curry is perfectly seasoned, the meat is tender, and the potatoes are nice and soft. You can taste that it is prepared fresh, and the flavors are exactly as they should be in good Surinamese roti. The portions are generous, so you feel well-filled and really get your money's worth. Ordering is quick, and the food is usually ready quickly too, ideal for takeout. This has become a regular spot for me whenever I'm in the mood for good roti. Definitely recommended!

The food is good and varied. You receive good service and advice if you want on pairings or just a dish. Very sweet, friendly people and, very important for the Dutch among us, not too expensive.

Yummy yummy in my tummy tummy!!!! Not gonna lie this is the best restaurant (to me) in the Holendrecht shopping street. I go there on a weekly basis and their nasi and chicken curry is just so irresistibly tasty. Don't know about delivery as I live just close by and usually do the takeaway myself. Reasonably priced too so overall very happy with the food.

The order arrived fairly quickly, but it wasn't complete. I had to call to request a refund for the missing item. Otherwise, I probably wouldn't have gotten it back. The food was okay.

I'd been disappointed with SU restaurants a few times before; the food was less than stellar, but the prices were much higher! Then I was recommended Roti House on Holedrechtplein in Amsterdam. No-nonsense takeout, friendly staff, and most importantly: the food! It was delicious! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

We regularly get Rotti here, and it's a real treat every time. The flavors are pure Surinamese, full of herbs and lovingly prepared. The rotti itself is wonderfully soft and fresh, and the vegetarian options are excellent – ​​we eat vegetarian at home and always have plenty of choices here. The potato, long beans, and tempeh are well-seasoned, and the sambal is wonderfully spicy without being overpowering. Portions are generous, and everything is delivered warm and neatly packaged. The service is always friendly, and the quality is consistently good. You can taste the care and attention they put into their cooking. Absolutely recommended for anyone who loves authentic Surinamese rotti! 👌

Roti is always delicious! Nothing to complain about. I don't know about the rest. The 1.5 liters of cola were gone, so they replaced it with 5 cans of cola. Fantastic!!!

Madras and Kashmiri lamb curry were very tasty. The naan bread was like a lump of dough and seemed undercooked. Salad with the curry wasn't necessary; it was just a few slices of dried cucumber, red onion, and a piece of tomato.

Ordered 3 curry's: mutton biryani, mutton kashmiri and mutton madras. Flavour wise the currys were nice but barely contained any meat. I guestimate it had to be around 150 grams per curry. We also ordered naan and they were clearly not fresh. Very rubbery. The salad they they add looked like it was from last week. Very dry and old.

I ordered roti rolls and teloh. I thought the food was absolutely inedible. And the teloh wasn't presented properly. I will never spend my money here again.

My food was unsatisfactory. It feels like it had been cooked for days and then quickly heated up and sold 👎🏽 So not fresh. Rice is a bit chaotic. What happened to that egg? Disappointed 😢

What a dirty mess those barras are. How can you put a barra in a container with chicken or whatever, then you are asking for a wet barra. TIP: place the barras in aluminum foil and the rest in a container. Woooow what a nasty mess that was

What a great tent. Indian food is freshly prepared. Rotis taste fantastic. The bad reviews are often a bit older. I'd say, give it another try. And yes, they don't really speak Dutch very well, but with a little English and patience you can go a long way. They are really very friendly

Had the butter chicken today. Pretty good, it came with two naan and the chicken pieces were actually tandoori chicken instead of other places that only use chicken fillet. It was mildly spicy, not enough to start a 😅 sweat. They don't have it every day but I'd stop by again for it.

Really haven't had such a good meal in a long time. It also arrived very quickly. 100% recommended. Average review of 3.6 is really strange, it should be much higher. Cheap, plenty of, tasty and fast food.

Ordered a few rotis last Sunday What a mess The roti with chicken was tasteless...definitely no curry taste. The vegetarian version was downright pathetic...burnt pieces of tempeh or was it tofu? No longer recognisable. After 1 bite I knew that this could no longer be saved and it also found its way to the trash can. A waste of my money. It looks like someone was in the kitchen who didn't feel like it at all. Is that I HAD to give 1 star...that is also not deserved!!! Tip! As a vegetarian, we also want to taste curry in the vegetables!!!!

Fijne restaurant met lekkere bami. Aardig personeel en prijs-kwaliteit verhouding is erg goed. Kom hier al jaren.

Zaak ziet er keurig en schoon uit. Vlot geholpen door een aardige jongen. Normale prijzen. De roti is gewoon goed en lekker! De roti plaat goed op smaak en niet droog, de kerrie kip en aardappelen zijn ook goed gekruid en zoals ik het van huis gewend ben ook een extra schep dikke kerrie jus extra over de kip/aardappelen. 1 ster aftrek omdat ik de bami apart vond smaken mogelijk omdat de paprika er voor mij gevoel niet in thuis hoort maar het is on ieder geval wel vers van smaak ! De ketjap kip erbij was dan wel weer lekker.

Aardige bezorger en ook op tijd, maar nog nooit zulke rijst met pom/groenten gezien, allesbehalve lekker. Zat ook tofu bij wat ik nergens naar vind smaken. Erg teleurstellend.

Nice place for Surinam food without paying too much. The current new location (after moving from a hundred meters away) is very nice open and clean. The food is tasty and quite affordable.
