Indian Dinner Restaurant in Westindische Buurt

We were waking and it was before the normal time for dinner we decided to stop and take for take away just something to eat. I was greeted by a sweet little kid and they took my order in 15 min everything was ready. I spent 20€ and i got a chicken masala and 3 naans. The people were nice and everything was done very fast. We ate in our hotel room 🫰🏻❤️

Unfortunately and big disappointment today. I have been coming to this restaurant for years when I crave Saag with chicken or paneer with rice or naan. The taste of the Saag Paneer is simply the tastiest, but... THERE IS A NEW OWNER and the price I paid was no less than 7 euros higher. Quite a lot... a little bit I can understand. I could also always choose rice without a price increase, but that now seems to have changed. For home delivery the price is 14 euros with naan (I always got a discount because I just walk to collect it myself) now I had to pay more than 18 euros instead of 11 euros and then some. Super ridiculous and I won't go there anymore.

Ordered on thuisbezorgd (vegetarian combination meal). Food was so salty that we couldn't finish it. Not sure if something went terribly wrong in the kitchen tonight, or if this is a regular thing.

Indian dinner is an incredible restaurant! Such good food and amazing service. They really took care of us. I cannot recommend this restaurant more. My new favorite!

Worst experience. Nice summer Friday evening spoiled. Ordered chicken tandoori gravy and the food was very salty. Upon calling the guy he told he will make a new one. Later on he just brought the same dish with added gravy to dilute the dish. This way half of my chicken quantity was wasted anyways because it was in outplates already so we couldn’t eat that. Highly NOT recommended

The service is horrible and the prices on the menu are not correct. We ordered something and they wanted to charge us five euros more. In the end we left because the lady was very unpleasant.

We had a terrible experience at this restaurant. First, we waited for the young man to take our order as he was busy playing on the computer. After we got his attention he took our order. Our drinks came out and then we waited, and waited and waited. We asked if we could get the naan to eat but it didn’t come until our order came 1 hour after ordering. A party of three was there and they said they had been waiting an hour for their food. When said that if our food didn’t come in 10 min we would leave. The food finally came. The food was very good and hot but the portions were small. We were served before the group that was there before us and it was awkward. Then it got worse when we went to pay. They were well aware that their credit card machine wasn’t working but they let us try to pay anyway. The young man working chuckled as we tried to pay our bill. They most likely wanted us to pay with cash and we refused. We saw that they were taking online orders so we said we wanted to pay online. After 15 minutes they figured out how to do it and we left very angry. Beware of this scheme and avoid this restaurant.

Its been 10 the restaurant still open, but when we came they said “no food” and chased us away

it’s not even 10 and they say no food. on google it’s opening until 11 and on their door is 10:30. It’s totally understandable if you need time to shut, but the time is very unfair

Its only 9,57 and we were here its said restaurant will open till 10,30.im so freaking out cause we were so hungry

I usually order in. The food is decent but the delivery is always delayed by atleast 30 mins. It is difficult to enjoy food if it is never on time. Suggest to maybe not promise wrong/false delivery time while placing the order.

Had an amazing Royal veg menu: I love the preparation, super good service and quality. And love the added lentils 🙏 so warm and hearty. Thank you! Will remain customer!

Very warm welcome, very friendly and attentive staff Very hearty and tasty food! Chicken Tikka Massala perfectly spiced, neither too much nor not enough, tasty rice! Original Cheese Naan, well cooked and delicious.

Ok this place: Do Not miss this if Indian is your game! Warmers at the table is a very nice touch in Nov. Butter chicken is Amazing. Chicken tikki wonderfully spiced and cooked to perfection. The garlic naan was perfect(considering a history of Chinese scallion pancakes). Allo matter was hot! Biryani chicken was perfectly cooked. This place needs more attention: Go…!

The food is very mediocre; the usual dishes modified as usual to suit what Indian restauranteurs 'think' Western people like. The quality of preparation is not good. I'm sorry but it's very possible to make good Indian food that is tasty, healthy and cheap. That possibility has been lost here.

Ik kocht hier een blikje cola en de mensen waren heel vriendelijk. Het eten zag er ook goed uit. Dus ik kom beslist nog eens terug om te eten.

Eten was lekker en goed! Personeel alleen heel veel minder. Eerste bestelling kreeg ik een foutieve melding. Toen telefonisch afgerond en gepint in het restaurant. Bleek het geld van de eerste bestelling toch betaald te zijn en zij hebben 0 hulp geboden om het terug te betalen. Heb hun intussen 7 keer aan de lijn gehad vandaag met geen hulp. Telkens beloftes dat ze terug bellen of iets gaan doen. Elke keer als ik bel moet ik het weer opnieuw uitleggen (het gaat om meer dan 100€). Morgen maar even langs gaan :(

Lekker eten voor een goede prijs. Grote porties ook! Jammer dat het er zo rustig is, ze verdienen echt meer klanten.

This little place doesn’t look like much but the food is SO EXCELLENT - also: very big portions and friendly service. Don’t worry about the first impression, go there for the beautiful dishes !

Restaurant staat op een plek naast een autoweg. Niet echt gezellig, maar het eten is wel lekker, vooral de Lamb Karahi gerecht was erg lekker. Chicken Madras was erg pittig. En de naan waren erg lekker. Prijs is ook goed. Parkeren ( betaald ) kun je om de hoek.

Nice food, great staff! I want to express my gratitude to the staff. It was the 1st night we arrived in Amsterdam. We were so hungry and went a long way to find a restaurant. Finally we got this one. The food was very delicious and the staff were supper friendly and helpful.

We stopped here randomly off the tram looking for some food. Amazing food, just great. As a family, we're big fans of Indian cooking and this place nails it. We were extremely pleasantly surprised- it was so quiet we were worried. Good value too.

Aardige bediening bij het afhalen. Hij eist niet van 10% korting bij afhalen zo als op website vermeld staat maar wel gewoon gekregen. Het eten was lekker maar wel een beetje saai, de hoeveelheid was prima dus 2x van gegeten voor een hele schapenlijke prijs!

Heerlijk eten, en je krijgt hier veel eten voor de prijs die je betaald. Het restaurant is netjes, ook het toilet is schoon. En het eten wordt mooi geserveerd. Ik kom hier zeker terug!

Dit restaurant overtrof alle verwachtingen! Het menu bood een divers aanbod van gerechten en elk daarvan was tot in de puntjes bereid. De presentatie was prachtig en de porties waren royael. Het personeel was deskundig en ging verder dan verwacht om ons verblijf aangenaam te maken

The food was really authentic, super good indian restaurant. Service impeccable, the Tondoori mix was our favorite.

Tastiest authentic Indian vegetarian food I've had in Europe. Quantity and quality equally good. The servers were very nice, helpful and patient. Service was quick.

4 different plates, 2 different Naans, everybody said the taste of the food was good. No waiting time. Vindaloo was tasteful and spicy.

Got the Jal Ferezi around 20 minutes before their closing time, and they were ready within 10 minutes, gave great service and even offered us a seat inside. Food was packed pretty much perfectly and was still hot when i got home 40 mins later. The food was good, next time I'll take the rogan josh to see if its great.

De très bons plats mais l'attente a été longue alors nous n'étions que 3 dans le restaurant. Il y avait beaucoup de livraisons quand nous y sommes allés mais de là à y passer 2h....

Un peu fatigué, ce restaurant étant proche de notre hôtel, nous l'avons choisi un peu par hasard. Restaurant sans prétention, pas de chichi mais la qualité est au rendez-vous. C'est tout simplement délicieux.

Today we were craving a delicious Indian meal, so we made a Goa dahl curry from South India. We didn't have time to make naan bread, so we went to our favorite Indian restaurant, Indian Dinner on Surinameplein. Unfortunately they were closed and we were forced to end up at Dosa South Dinner on the Overtoom. The naan was not what we expected. It was dry, falling apart and too much garlic had been used. We are convinced that Indian Dinner sells better naan than Dosa South Dinner. That's why Indian Dinner gets 4 stars from us.

Erg lekker eten. Korma was niet te zoet of vettig zoals je soms bij andere restaurants ziet en de porties zijn zeer ruim. Snelle en vriendelijke service bij afhalen.

Best paneer and garlic naan I've ever eaten! Huge amounts when take away, always friendly stuff there, totally recommend! ♥️

Encontré este lugar por casualidad, ya que nos estábamos quedando en el camino caminando buscando un lugar para cenar, ¡GUAU! Qué descubrimiento, tan bueno que volvimos dos noches después de nuestra última noche en Amsterdam, mi esposa tenía el pollo con mantequilla y ella lo califica como una de las mejores, si no la mejor que ha tenido, tuve el vegan breyani, absolutamente increíble, un lugar limpio y un personal muy amable y eficiente.

Met en zonder Groupon geweest, beide goed. Losse voorgerechten en nagerechten goed geprijsd, normale hoofdgerechten aan de prijs. Vriendelijke bediening. Kheer, panir pakora, dal soep, gulab jamun: heerlijk. Let wel op: de prijzen die op de menukaart op internet staan, zijn alleen voor afhalen en sommige gerechten kun je wel mee naar huis nemen, maar niet in het restaurant eten.
