Food is very delicious and also all staff members is very humbal and helpful

Samosa is a highlight. You can start with samosa. Aloo palak is divine here. Really enjoyed the Indian food after a long time in Amsterdam. Must go place.

Definitely not worth it! 👎 The unfriendly staff refused a simple request to switch tables, even with plenty of empty ones, and the food was just as disappointing. Plus, charging €6-7 for a bottle of water because there's no tap water option. Avoid if possible

Where is the negative 10-star option for this restaurant? Easily one of the worst customer-service experiences I’ve had while traveling. Their website advertised a 25% same-day discount, so I made a reservation for lunch at 12:30 PM and arrived exactly on time. The restaurant was completely empty. The gentleman at the restaurant refused to honor the advertised discount, claiming that the reservation had to be made a day in advance. There was absolutely no such restriction stated on the website, which clearly allowed me to make a same-day reservation. What made the experience even worse was his attitude. Instead of trying to understand the situation or find a reasonable solution, he was extremely rude and dismissive. I mentioned that I travel extensively from the US and would share my experience in a review, and his response was essentially that I should go ahead and write it. So, I’m doing exactly that—and honestly describing my experience. I’m actually glad I didn’t eat there, because I would have regretted giving my business to a place that treats customers this way. A couple of friends who have eaten there also told me they had unpleasant experiences afterward, including suspected food poisoning, although I can only speak to my own experience. My recommendation: avoid this restaurant. There are plenty of places where you can get good food without being treated disrespectfully. For me, the complete lack of customer service and empathy was enough to walk away. Zero stars if that were an option.

Loved the food, the taste was spot on, 10 out of 10. The staff were warm and helpful. They even replaced and accomodated a vegetable curry which was not a part of their thali. Food was so flavoursome, kheer and mint chutney were sheer delights.

I order yesterday evening food and tea for take away. However, when I request to change the disposal for tea and also for additional disposal, the behaviour of staff was very rude, as she gave the disposal cup in angry mood. I don't know why the staff reacted as we were very polite and also paying for everything. I would recommend that food is good but behaviour of staff is not good. Also, the staff said that if you like the food then call me for feedback and if you don't like then please don't call us.

This is not an authentic indian restaurant. It is run by some other nationals..On the name of indian food, they serve worst food!! The manager and the staff are highly rude! They are serving indian food and they rudely behave with Indians only!

I'm not sure how to describe the food. I can only say that if you are looking for Indian food, don't come here. This is like a fusion way of cooking Indian food but in a disparete way. Food is dyed with color a lot. You can paint with the food coloring. Didn't enjoy the food too much. Lassi wasn't great either

Probably the best located Indian Fanfare in the entire country of Netherlands this place is located approximately 500 mts from Amsterdam Central station. I have been visiting this place for 15+ years and the quality, taste of the dishes like Butter chicken and chicken pepper tikka has not changed a bit, they are as delicious as they were when I first visited this place. Pepper Chicken Tikka: A standout appetizer featuring succulent, smoky chicken chunks. The food is excellent — flavorful, well-cooked, and definitely the highlight of the visit. Unfortunately, the service during one of my three visits (this month) was not very welcoming. The two ladies serving made me feel uncomfortable, almost as if I was eating for free rather than as a paying customer. Moreover, the restaurant also felt a bit suffocating due to poor air ventilation, and the lighting could be brighter. Improving these areas would greatly enhance the overall experience.

Indian punjabi style north Indian restaurant

It's the worst restaurant I've been in with really bad service from the workers.(for restrictions made by Google policies I won't say my full opinion, just avoid the place) Paid 50euros for 2people and got a dish that was so small that it is ridiculous served on the same plate inmates get. The salad was just leaves of lattuce thrown on a plate with a quarter of uncut tomato. Overall wouldn't eat there even for free. Better stay away from shitty places like that, really the worst experience I've experienced in my whole month in Amsterdam.

This is not an Indian Restaurant. This is a restaurant that serves Halal food. Because Halal doesn't belong to India and Indians do not eat Halal food. But this restaurant is using Indian Restaurant name and serving halal food for Hindus. This maybe Indian cuisine but not Indian restaurant.

We booked through The Fork for the 30 per cent discount, and let me tell you, everything at this restaurant is absolutely perfect. 🇮🇳✨ The food is truly authentic, bursting with delicious flavour, and the service is wonderfully kind. The owner is incredibly friendly and really goes the extra mile to make you feel welcome. We will definitely recommend this place and we’ll be coming back for sure. 🌟🍛💕

Restaurant Ghandi is an oasis of tranquility, completely hidden from the bustle of the Damrak. Excellent food, very friendly welcome. Excellent value for money. My friends and I chose the set menu: three courses for a very reasonable price—where else can you find that? A place to cherish.

How has this place got such score? We have eaten Indian food all over the world and we come from the UK where Indian food is our staple diet. We were in Amsterdam and we were desperate for some Indian food and we found this place which had a very low score to be honest with you, however the food is second to none - it was amazing, if I could give this place six, I would, it was that good so please give it a chance

Its location is in a less-than-ordinary corridor. The food is bland. The butter chicken comes with rice and tandoori shrimp, and the vegetable stew comes with rice. The food is generous. The butter chicken is spicy. The naan is good. 👍🏻 The staff are friendly 🙏🏻 and speak a little Arabic.
