The welcome was neither friendly nor warm. The staff were neither welcoming nor courteous. We were practically chased away by the owner. We didn't even have time for a coffee; we were told to leave... When we were asked to pay in cash, even though it wasn't indicated anywhere, the owner almost gave himself a generous tip... Beware! Only the food is worth the trip because it's fragrant and delicious; otherwise, keep walking...

Ordered food at 7:00 PM, still nothing by 9:00 PM. Called at 8:00 PM for an update and was told: "We're on our way." At 9:30 PM, the same excuse again, and this time I didn't answer. Scammers, NEVER order from them.

Food and service was great. Best indian food I found here in Amsterdam and also during my trip through europe. Waiters are polite but are instructed by the owner for some reason to deny for water. Like how much effort is it for anyone to pour tap water and serve. Thats the most basic indian etiquette I expect when arriving in an Indian restaurant, that too being run by a fellow indian migrants.

Must try thier tandoori. The food is lovely.

Worst experience, staff is arrogant, never suggest anyone to go there We have made booking on 13/09/2025 for 13 persons for dinner and paid advance through our travel partner , our slot for dinner is 8PM to 9 PM They give us table at 8.15 PM and 8.30 PM he is telling us to do fast and leave the space for other group . Very horrible experience at Rangoli restaurant , how is possible for dinner of 13 persons in 15 minutes. Ultimately we have left place without eating and done our dinner in other place . They are insulting India.

Had a reservation but they rejected us when we came...

The manager said the restaurant is full when clearly half of the restaurant was empty. We even had a reservation!

During our visit to an Indian restaurant in Amsterdam, we were unfortunately met with disappointing service that left a sour taste, far removed from the warm hospitality we had hoped for. From the moment we arrived, the staff appeared indifferent and unwelcoming, barely acknowledging our presence. Our order took an unusually long time to arrive, and when it did, a couple of dishes were either cold or not what we had requested. Attempts to politely address the issues were met with dismissiveness, and there was little effort made to rectify the situation. While the ambiance had potential, the overall experience was marred by poor customer service and a lack of basic courtesy, which made us feel more like a burden than valued guests. It’s disheartening to see such a place miss the mark, especially in a city known for its diversity and hospitality. Not preferable to anyone

A pretty decent Indian restaurant, but unfortunately, the waiter wasn't in the mood. Plates were slammed onto the table and not even on the placemat, for example. The same goes for the menus. All in all, a strange experience!

This place used to be so great .. tried them again after a few years .. took 1.5 hours to arrive… then we got no rice (seems now they charge separately) tasteless sauce compared to their old thick nutty tasty magic, no rice (they now charge separately) buy one get one free butter chicken which seemed like one portion split between two.,, go for namche, or rasoi or.,, i mean basically any curry house but this.. unfortunately wont ever buy again.. do yourself a favour ., avoid

NUMBER ONE INDIAN RESTAURENT IN AMSERDAM FOOD IS VERRY VERRY GOOD FLAVOUR AND SERVICE IS VERY EXCILENT IL

I can't really judge the atmosphere and service. I regularly cycle past it, and it looks okay. Not so. I ordered food today, but what a disappointment. The naan bread looked awful, like it had been microwaved, limp, with strange bits of garlic on it (clearly factory-made). The taste and appearance weren't homemade, but supermarket naan bread that had been briefly microwaved. The curries were okay, but they really lacked flavor... boring... not much love. After eating, we both had severe stomach cramps, felt bloated, and even had to go to the toilet... not good.

An excellent place to regenerate your Indian food taste buds, in an European country like Holland. Met the owner Mr Vikram as well, very humble yet aspirational experience. Food was very tasty and staff was very forthcoming and helpful. Overall, felt like eating at home, while being away from home. Thank you Vikram ji!!!

During our tour with MakeMyTrip, led by our wonderful guide Ronnie, We stopped by this restaurant for dinner. The place was decent and pleasantly quiet when we arrived, which made for a relaxing dining experience. The food was excellent—every dish we had was delicious and satisfying. We also ordered a glass of red wine (not included in the tour package), which we happily paid for. What stood out to us was the service. We offered a tip, thinking it was the norm especially since we ordered drinks, but the server politely refused to accept it. It was quite impressive and honestly surprising, especially coming from the U.S., where tipping is a big deal. Overall, everything was great—the food, the service, and the atmosphere. One small thing to note: the restrooms were tiny! You could barely move around in there, but it was so compact it actually came off as kind of cute. Highly satisfied and would gladly dine here again!

Ordered food and got stale dosa and sabzi. Stomach hurts after eating. Also sambar feels powdery and artificial instead of authentic.

1+1 is half+half, scam! On Uber Eats they advertise with a 1+1 promotion. I thought I would get food for 4 people. They simply put the portions in 2 half containers half filled. We could perhaps eat this with 3 people, while without discount it would have cost €80.

The manager/owner here is incredibly unprofessional and judgmental. I visited the restaurant specifically to enjoy some tea and snacks, as I had already eaten lunch. However, I was rudely told that they do not serve tea unless a main course is ordered. Despite explaining that I had traveled a fair distance just for tea, I was flatly denied service. It’s shocking that a restaurant claiming to represent Indian hospitality would turn away a customer simply because they didn’t order a large enough meal. Shame!!

Clean, Cozy, and delicious, this place is one of the best Indian restaurant in Amsterdam.

We were exploring the streets of Amsterdam, stopped by to have an evening snack at this place. We felt like they treat you basis on what you order. When you order tea and quick snack, they don’t even have the courtesy to check if we needed water. Upon inquiring, they mentioned that they don’t usually ask the customer rather customers should request for it. Especially, from an Indian restaurant, I find it weird. Owner/manager intervened and tried to ease things out. Obviously, upon requesting they did provide the tap water. But, the entire incident made us feel awkward. Hope this gets acknowledged and worked on for the next set of customers.

We had a delicious meal here yesterday with the family. Normally I choose one dish over the other in terms of taste, but yesterday all the dishes tasted so good I was really positively surprised. The mango lassi is delicious. Service was top notch. I would love to come here again. Thanks for the great evening.

Do not order food from this restaurant, they are advertised as a merchant on uber eats using their own delivery service however when there is an issue they blame uber eats. I waited almost an hour and a half with no update and after calling them they told me it’s uber eats’s problem and it will take 30 more minutes. No responsibility taken and terrible service.

Rangoli a south indian restaurant.its a busy street and by walking we can move to the most beautiful places. Rangoli is a very famous Indian restaurant and most of the local food lovers also enjoyed it here. For the whole day we were wandering beautiful places and so we have twice in a day enjoyed both lunch and dinner at Rangoli indian restaurant. I had a visit to Rangoli indian may 2023 during my Europe tour.

Came here after chilling in the coffeeshop, the chicken pankoor and lamb curry were so good that I wept in my wife's arms for like five minutes.

I eat there quite regularly since several years and I have to say the food has something unexpectedly good I haven't enjoyed up till now in other restaurants I have visited in the neighbourhood. Each time I leave thinking to myself this is the 'best food in the world'. Absolutely divine...out of this world! I grew up eating in my family tandoori restaurants btw.

Stumbled across this lovely restaurant. Only people in there but the service was amazing and the Chicken Madras was scrumptious. Food hot in flavour and heat wise also. Would highly recommend this restaurant. Service was 1st class

We had ordered a doosa and mango lassi. Both were very disappointing, the doosa was thick and bland, and the 2 accompanying sauces were dull. It was a loud place with running children bouncing into the front window. My wife disliked the mango lassie and replaced it with a plain water, but nevertheless there were 2 mango lassies on the check...

We ordered food in the evening and paid normally via app and then the order was canceled after an hour without telling us, but only after we asked by phone. So we didn't get any food, waited an hour without any information and then had very poor service online. Not recommended unless you don't feel like getting your food. Never order here again!!!

Food is just okay, but never order food online with them. First time I make an order it was 4 butter chickens, I don't why they delivered only 2, so I had to wait like 30 extra minutes to receive the other 2. Today I decided to give them an other chance, I made the order at 20:25 and I received it at 22:30, I can understand maybe they had a busy night, but for real? 2 hours to receive an order in a small city like Amsterdam? I would not recommend honestly

Who makes masala dosa with mustard oil?? Worst dosa ever...thick and lacks taste....unsustainable packaging, late deliveries and the list goes on...

Delicious food, lots on the menu So there is plenty to choose from starters to main courses we will come there more often and it is easy to reach in Amsterdam

I used to really enjoy their food that I was mostly picking up or ordering on delivery. Lately it is more expensive for smaller portions and it is not as good as before, almost no taste and definitely not vaguely as spicy as Indian should be.

I have visited on Kings day’24. I have ordered : Paneer tikka: Good Papri Chat: Okay Plain Dosa: Okay but I did not like chutney sambar which were given along with Dosa. Vegetable Biryani: Average I think this should be renamed as Vegetable Pulao rather Vegetable biryani. Then it would serve the purpose atleast to small extent. Mango lassi: Okay It’s a small restaurant and it’s near to central railway station. One/Two time visit.

bad for the neighborhood: they bring tour groups of 10—15 people that stand outside on the sidewalk and prevent people who live, shop, and work from passing. even if you say “excuse me” three times, the group does not move and you have to push through as if you are at a concert. very annoying
