One of the best restaurant experiences I've had in the last ten years living in Amsterdam. Can't think of a single fault, it was excellent!

Preciosa joya del barrio de un restaurante, siempre tratamos de traer visitantes aquí cuando vienen a Amsterdam. El servicio es amable y servicial y la comida es deliciosa. El menú cambia estacionalmente. Especialmente disfrutamos del menú de 5 platos y el plato de queso de 5 quesos holandeses.

Prachtige gerechten en de wine pairing was ook heel goed. De passie waarmee gekookt wordt en de prachtige verhalen die verteld wordt over de wijnen maakt dit een perfect avondje uit

Super delicious food! A hidden gem in the streets of Amsterdam. Everything freshly prepared, unique and challenging flavor combinations, super hospitable and will think along with you about your wishes or allergies! We will definitely come back!

Acabamos de regresar a nuestro hotel después de experimentar una de las mejores cenas que hemos tenido. Elegimos el menú de 5 platos, pero había dos deliciosos bouche de diversión antes de embarcarnos en la comida. Cada plato era una sutil combinación de sabores complementarios. El más asombroso fue un plato de remolacha con un coulis de mora cubierto con rábano y cebollas crujientes. También un maravilloso sorbete de naranja. El vino por copa estaba bien valorado. Si te gusta la comida, asegúrate de incluir a Adam en tu itinerario cuando visites esta hermosa ciudad.

A very nice evening at Adam's. Refined dishes accompanied by carefully selected and quite original wines. A special mention for the bread worthy of the best French bakers. A surprise on our arrival: 2 glasses of champagne are offered because the restaurant is celebrating its 10th anniversary. We will definitely come back for the 15th anniversary. Chez Adam le menu est surprise, avec la possibilité de donner ses allergies ou autres mets qui ne nous conviennent pas. Pour les 10 ans du resto nous avons revu une coupe de mousseux et des amuse bouches en arrivant. Nous avons choisi le menu 6 plats, et les plats étaient tous aussi bons les uns que les autres ! Pour un prix plus que raisonnable, nos papilles en ont pris plein la figure. L'accord mets et vin est assez cher mais à 2 cela vaut plus la peine, sinon difficile d'avoir des boissons accordées. Le service était attentionné et sympathique. Mention spéciale pour une petite attention pour notre anniversaire que j'avais mentionné à la réservation. Allez y les yeux fermés Merci !

As always a perfect dinner at Restaurant Adam. Very delicious dishes with surprising food and taste combinations. Great service with a lot of attention and humor. We will come back soon.

Top service and very tasty food

Small, cozy place with a good variety of wines. You have to choose, for a full table, one of the menus they offer (4, 5 or 6 dishes). We chose the 6-course one and, to be fair, I think that 5 would have been enough (dinner). The service was very attentive, presenting the dishes and giving prior instructions to help in the selection (we asked them). We missed the price for the wines we brought out (3 different bottles).

Fantastic. Lovely staff, original and excellent plates. Special rate for the incredible “riz d’agneau”: I had only tried riz de veau in my life, but the lamb one was beyond expectations! Portions were also very large for a 5 courses menu. Well done to the chef and the entire team!

Wow, what a great dinner we had at ADAM. I've lived in Amsterdam for 13+ years, and I rarely go out to dinner here because I tend to be disappointed. It tends to me meh food, meh service, and all for a lot of money. ADAM was absolutely delicious food, with top notch friendly and down-to-earth service (I could make jokes! They made jokes back!) and good value for the money (it ain't cheap but hey, it was delicious high quality food). The food was very beautifully presented - but lots of restaurants can do that - however, it was TASTY. As someone with a palette of a 5 year old (I love mac n cheese, PBJ's, and pepperoni pizza), I was worried that the surprise menu would be a series of "Oh surprise, I hate it" but I loved everything (and I was able to state my preferences beforehand). These chefs know what they are doing and understand how to make really good food. The two people who waited on us were so lovely, kind, and funny - you really felt like you were dining with people you've known a long time. While there is limited outdoor seating, there is nice and air-conditioned inside - which while it's rare Amsterdam gets that kind of heat, it makes a big difference in enjoying the food if it's super hot from the kitchen. Highly recommend.

Had another fantastic evening with a beautiful 5 course menu where all flavors are correct, accompanied by very well chosen wines. For anyone who does not drink alcohol, the alcohol-free alternative with very surprising flavors and a nice accompaniment to each dish is highly recommended.

We had a delicious meal here. Beautiful refined and exciting dishes. Not everyday, but challenging. Delicious wines too. Definitely on the affordable side for the excellent quality!

I really like the food there. The portions were on the small side which was perfect for me. Very tasty combinations. Very good wine. I think they have noise absorbing panels on the walls. It's not too noisy you don't need to shout over each other to speak. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

By far the best meal we had in Amsterdam, every dish was thoughtfully made and delicious. Service was amazing.

Service is nice but food is average. We went for 6 course menu - all of them has some ‘exotic’ ingredients and interesting combinations; but the overall taste is quite bland and sometimes incoherent/not harmonized with each other.

I must say that we ate very well. Well presented, tasty and delicate dishes. 4-course menu complete with vegetarian dish, fish, meat and dessert with seasonal vegetables "broad beans, asparagus, peas" and dessert with strawberries 🍓 and well-puffed bread with a thick and crunchy crust. Friendly and professional service. Small, well-kept place.

A great place for a fancy dinner. The restaurant really feels like a team, very cozy and informal. The restaurant team is very friendly and cheerful. The food is simply incredible. A well-chosen wine list. In addition to the test menu, you should definitely try the cheese plate, it's space! Thank you for a wonderful evening!

We had a five course chefs surprise menu, which was good, after starting the evening with some oysters - overall the food is good, it would have been even better if the surprise was based off a menu that we’ve seen so that you have an idea of what might make it to your plate. Really loved the dessert though best dish of the evening for me! The pork dish was quite fatty, less meat but I’m sure for pork lovers that’s fine. The waiter does ask you about preferences and allergies - so in the absence of a menu you could give a laundry list of things you don’t want or prefer😅 The overall restaurant setting is stunning and the ambience is good for a relaxed romantic / platonic evening filled with food and wine

Nos encantó el restaurante, estuvimos bien atendidos y la cena estuvo buenísima. Elegimos 5 platos , pero nos quedamos con la pena de no haber elegido los 6, que es el máximo, ya que todo está buenísimo. A destacar la corvina y carne. La única pega , por decir algo, es que fueron lentos entre plato y plato.

Not our first time here, and it definitely won't be our last, I could almost repeat the review I wrote last time! Adam is an all-round taste sensation. The amuse bouches never fail to intrigue me, the presentation is beautiful and the way in which the food is known, yet not, recognisable, yet so unusual. We had planned to have just a couple of glasses of wine from the pairing menu, and ended up loving the first two so much we went four. And so worth it to transition from the whites to red. The wait staff, as always were faultless.

Amazing food, basic’s ingredients but made the best out of it. We tried many restaurants with 1 star in Amsterdam and this one definitely deserve 1 Michelin star even with a such small wine list. A plus we were there for dinner with a 2 yo baby and all the staff was amazing whit her! Highly recommend!!

Delicious food and wine, great service! This is one of my favorite places in Amsterdam! The only reason I'm giving 4 stars for the atmosphere is because they were playing music. Not really loud or annoying, but I would rather have no music at all in a restaurant.

Fantastic Restaurant best in town

Fantastisch restaurant, leuke service, heerlijk verrassend menu ook voor de vegetariër is er een passend menu, lekkere wijn, en er wordt gebruik gemaakt van zoveel mogelijk lokale producten .

Muy buen lugar para cenar en Amsterdam. Vale la pena conocerlo. Cenamos el menu de 4 pasos y fue sufuciente. Logran muy buena convinacion de sabores. Los platos parecen muy pequeños pero cuando terminas los 4 y el postre son mas que suficientes. las mesas para 2 son muy pequeñas y apenas alcanzan para poner las cosas sobre ella. Justo habia una mesa al lado nuestro con 15 comenzales, asi que el ruido fue importante hasta que se retiraron a la mitad de nuestra cena (ufffff). Lo demas estuvo muy bien. Hay que saber que es un poco caro, hay que calcula con un vino el 100 euros por persona.

We booked Restaurant Adam for a special meal on a trip to Amsterdam, at a colleague's recommendation. It was perfect from start to finish - staff were welcoming and friendly and the restaurant buzzy. The food was superb at every course and the wine pairings excellent. One of the party doesn't eat gluten and his meal was just as good as the standard menu. The value for money given the quality of the food was exceptional. We were very impressed and wouldn't hesitate to return on our next trip to Amsterdam.

Sfeervol restaurant, gastvrij en uitstekende service. Daarnaast heerlijk gegeten! Het verrassingsmenu met bijpassende wijnen, iedere gang was een feestje van smaakexplosies en verrassende combinaties. Mooie plek om een avond uitgebreid te tafelen.

We waren daar al eens geweest,en als het goed is keer je terug.

Simple food packed with flavour. I contacted them beforehand to request a vegan meal. They were happy to oblige and were very prompt in their replies. Highly recommended and look forward to returning for another meal here.

We visited Amsterdam a week ago and had booked a table at Adam´s in advance. Our expectations were high - but they were more than fulfilled. The 6 dishes, combined with Adam´s´choice of wines, were amazing!. My wife and I enjoyed the food and wine fairytale more than we manage to formulate in a foreign language. Highly recommended - and we will not hesitate to visit Adam´s once more if we come back to Amsterdam. We are just waiting for them to get their first star - the standard is absolutely there...

Loved Adam. Food was excellent. We took the 5 course menu with one cheese and one desert. Very nice service! Asked about one of the cheeses and was given the name and where to get it. Will come back for sure. Place had AC which was super for this evening.
