Restaurant Bar Stein by Van der Valk in Wijk 14 Bedrijventerrein Oost

El servicio del restaurante es pésimo y me explico el por qué,llevamos alojados tres semanas y todavía nos falta una más,ayer antes de la final de fútbol de Madrid -barsa decidimos cenar pronto y menos mal que bajamos pronto por qué si no no lo vemos,el casi es que pedimos unos entrantes y plato principal para cada uno,somos 6 personas,a la hora y media y después de haber solo comido os entrantes nos preguntan cuando abandonamos la mesa que están recogiendo,imagina nuestras caras de sorpresa cuando vemos que se les había olvidado preparar y traernos el plato principal,se lo comunicamos al camarero que nos cogió lo que queríamos e hizo oídos sordos como que no sabía nada,ni se acercó por la mesa ya,ya discutiendo con otros camareros nos dijeron que en dos minutos tendríamos la cena,imagínate el bacalao negro hecho en dos minutos e imagínate el resto,todo precalentado y malo.asi que si venís por restaurante aseguraros de lo que pedís y de que no se olviden como nos hicieron a nosotros

De eerste keer dat ik een revieuw schrijf.. maar zo erg is het ons tegen grevallen.. . De caparccio was ronduit slecht; teveel saus, capaccio zelf matig, oude en droge parmezaanse kaas. Nou oké, dat kan gebeuren.. Maar het hoofdgerecht de tournedos was nog erger met als kadootje 2 haren er in!!!!! Er wat van gezegd.. ohja sorry mevrouw. Maar bij de rekening niks geen compensatie. Gevraagd om een oplossing; moest overlegd worden met teamleider Patrick. Konden er 2 drankjes van af.. nog een keer gevraagd dat we dit een zeer matige compensatie vonden. Maar dit was het. PATRICK zat al in z'n kantoor en kon het zelf niet oplossen. Echt waardeloos! Voor ons nooit meer!

Van der Valk atmosphere. So that's good, but the food was terrible. A brisket that was well done like a steak with way too much fat (not brisket fat). Then, as compensation, I was credited with the cheapest glass of wine that wasn't even mine. Once again I complained about this. Then they decided to credit the sukade. Detail: the chef agreed with me about the brisket complaint.

Unfortunately we came for cocktails, but these appear to be ready-made from the bottle, which can be purchased for 14 euros for consumers.... Here by the glass for 13 euros?! After it was prepared for another customer, an orange slice was placed in the pornstar martini hmmm, it will taste good, but if the glass is not full, it will be shaken from the bottle, we will not go back because we ordered two roses and saw that the one glass what was poured too full was poured into the other glass... well, decide for yourself...

Bad service this afternoon from 3 p.m. Having to wait a long time for the drinks platter, the girl forgot to report it to the kitchen. She couldn't have been busy, there were hardly any people. In between you sat with an empty glass. No need to ask for napkins and cocktail sticks at the drinks board itself. So this was the last time I was here. Shame

They are trying their best. The portions are big and food is good. The service is good as well. This place deserves a better rating 👍

Looks posh, unfortunately I've managed only to get soup, the main dish God knows why vanished after 1h of waiting. The staff is very nice but not well organised. It's sad cos the place has potential.

Very nice evening out for dinner with excellent service. Would love to come back!

Excellent food for a reasonable price. Service attentive. Met expectations. Rating four plus but not five

We hebben er 3 mei gegeten en ons werd aangeraden om te reserveren omdat het druk was. 19.15 uur was niet mogelijk. Wel om 19.00 uur of om 19.30 uur. Wij om 19.00 uur gereserveerd en waren nog 3 tafels bezet voor de rest leeg en is ook niemand meer bijgekomen. Het eten was niet conform de kaart. Mijn vrouw bestelde tournedos en dat was echt kauwvlees en absoluut geen tournedos. Mijn moeder kwam van de slager, dus weet er genoeg van. De frites waren uitgedroogd en dit restaurant werd aangeprezen als exclusiever dan het “normale” restaurant. Daar was het overigens afgeladen vol en dat had in moeten waarschuwen. Voor ons dus nooit meer dit restaurant en absoluut geen aanrader.

Spontaneously came by on Sunday, ordered cocktails amaretto sour, which was not a cocktail but just an amaretto glass with a slice of orange, told back that this is really not possible for 11 euros. He said we make them like this, yes that's fine, but take it back and try again, it is a bar after all. Then ordered mochito, too bad for words, sour, no rum, no cane sugar, then called the manager. Annoying of course because we have never experienced this before. So apparently they work with a cocktail device that has been set???? Creating a beautiful bar and cocktails is an art but this beat everything. Starter fine, had to look for the shrimps in cocktail and the chateau briand, 4 pieces of meat on a plate with vegetables for 1 person. Unfortunately, this van der valk disappoints us very much. Are these start-up problems? The manager resolved the issue well and we did not have to pay for the drinks.

Begon al met lang wachten op 2 cappuccino, 2x gevraagd! Tafel gereserveerd om 17.30, echter geen aanstalten om ons naar onze tafel te verwijzen!! Lang wachten op voorgerecht (18.15) terwijl de gasten naast ons later waren en wel hun voorgerecht al hadden!! Hoofdgerecht chateaubriand van € 55 was gewoon koud!!(18.45) Iets van gezegd, werd niets mee gedaan! Personeel is niet capabel om iets te doen of op te lossen als je klachten hebt, leidinggevende is ook niet geschikt, laat zich niet zien bij kritiek, meerdere keren gehoord die avond! Geen 2e keer voor ons!!

Had dinner at LoeV a few weeks ago. Beautiful restaurant, tables set up in such a way that you are hardly bothered by other guests. However, a number of points were noted during our dinner. There was only cover for 5 people, while there were 6 of us. This was indicated and it took a very long time before we received extra crockery. Everyone ordered a drink, except for 1, it was served, after asking again 3 times it finally came. Service very slow, both in action and understanding. Starter and main course very tasty, just long! Have to wait. For dessert, 5 of us had a sorbet. This one was, in a word, dirty. The ice cream and whipped cream on top were fine, but the fruit was floating in what looked and tasted like dishwater. Very unfortunate and no compensation was received. Not a second time for us for a while.

Lunch bij van der Valk, altijd goed dachten we. Maar dat viel tegen. Na lang wachten bij de desk ( de mevrouw die hiervoor verantwoordelijk was, was en bleef aan de telefoon over een reservering waar verwarring over was meerdere malen werden de namen inclusief voorletters luid en duidelijk voor ons herhaald. Uiteindelijk vroeg ze aan iemand van de bediening die al meerdere keren voorbij wat gelopen ons een plaats te wijzen. Aan tafel snelle en vlotte mevrouw die drankjes opnam en kaarten bracht. Koffie werd gebracht door een onervaren man. Prima natuurlijk we moeten allemaal leren maar deze man werd niet zoals iemand anders in het restaurant begeleid. Kopjes werden slordig met oortjes naar achter op tafel gezet. Nog nooit meegemaakt bij van der Valk ! Als lunch Happy fish. Leuk gerecht maar erg karig. Prima soepje, goede garnalenkroket op een klein zacht wat hard had moeten zijn broodje. Dunne snee brood met heel weinig prima tonijnsalade. Leuk afgewerkt met rucola en ingelegde ui. Daarbij twee ondefinieerbare schaaltjes. Één met witte saus, geen mayonaise geen idee wat wel en een met iets rood wat we maar niet hebben opgegeten nog geprobeerd aan iemand te vragen wat het was maar ondanks de grote hoeveelheid personeel was er niemand in de buurt . Al bij al prima gegeten maar zeker niet top.

What a nice restaurant! On Saturday evening there is even atmospheric live music. The food is very tasty and served quickly. They also have some specialty beers.

Vlotte en aardige bediening. Alle aandacht voor de gasten. Hoewel Stein een beperkte kaart heeft is er voor allen wat wils. De open wijnen en bubbels zijn goed. De gerechten waren allemaal top. Het dessert was echt vuurwerk! Kortom heerlijk gegeten met een perfecte prijs/kwaliteit verhouding.

Fancy some pastries at Van der Valk Gorinchem...then you can go alone go to Brasserie Stein. Most friendly service and very our service was attentive Marinska! Unfortunately it was the choice limited and we would have preferred the terrace, especially in sunny weather. Terrace was open, just not for cakes with coffee...unfortunately.

Nog nooit zo slecht gegeten in een vreselijk saaie omgeving!! Dit is van der valk onwaardig!! Kom hier nooit meer!! Ongelofelijk!!
