The concept is fantastic because of its simplicity and the enthusiasm of the very friendly staff. We had a very tasty, simple, yet extensive lunch. The service was no-nonsense and the price-quality ratio was excellent. It's a shame this location is closing on July 1st. I've heard it will continue at a better and busier location in the center of Purmerend.

Super nice decor and styling, different seating areas (benches, small seats, screened) and really delicious food. We are fans of the lunch board for 2 people, the board changes every so often. It's quite a meal, almost too much to finish. Remains a fantastic concept, lovely service.

Very nice to eat here and what fantastic service, super friendly. But it is useful to make a reservation because it is well attended.

They are also ready for large groups and everything runs as agreed and completely according to wishes. Very friendly help from all employees, chapeau!

Cute place, nice staff. Good food. Nice calm place to sit in contrast to busy city center restaurants. In the back it's a bit dark but maybe they can fix that :) Update: It's still a big dark in the back and could be more cosy if there was a bit more warm light :) Food is still really good. Also I noticed that the dark letters on the front are hard to read on the dark glass so we had a bit hard time knowing where the door was, I think chancing to white letters would fix the problem :)

There was a very long wait for the food due to staff in the kitchen. It was kindly resolved by offering a drink on the house. The food was fine.

We organized a children's party for my son at Brownies and Downies in October. We had a really nice time! The food was good. We opted for a 2-course menu and it tasted very good. In addition, the service was great! They came by regularly to ensure everything was as expected and the food was served on time. We indicated in advance what time we wanted the starter and main course served and that was fine. We were allowed to decorate the entire room before the party started and we received help with this. It was a successful evening that my son really enjoyed and felt like it was his birthday! The only downside was that the room looked a bit too businesslike (tables, layout) but that was made up for by the food and the friendly people! Definitely recommended if you have something fun to celebrate. We will definitely come back!

Today I had lunch with my niece at the Purmerend branch. Very nice atmosphere, nicely decorated in a Halloween atmosphere and top service. My niece enjoyed herself for over 2 hours with the kitchen, chalkboard and all the other toys. Wonderful spot!

Great experience, extremely friendly and service-oriented service. You notice that the "staff" takes great pleasure in excelling. In short, I'll do it again soon, it's a great concept.

Enjoyed a three-course menu in a cozy atmosphere. The carpaccio is one of the best I've eaten. And the ladies at the counter are cheerful and enthusiastic. Our dog was immediately given a bowl of water. Great night. Thanks. Emmy

What a very nice, child-friendly place. Been several times now and the menu changes regularly. The tastiest dishes remain on the menu, but the temporary or new menu always beckons. Recommended: cauliflower curry with naan bread, club sandwich, goat cheese salad and perhaps the tastiest dish, the falafel burger! The play area for the children is fantastic, a kitchen and all kinds of compartments filled with toys, a chalkboard, drawing books, building blocks and cars. The staff is attentive, provides you with a clean table and regularly asks if everything is okay at the table and if you would like something to drink. Wheelchair accessible, including the toilets!! Parking is available around the corner, paid and free!

We tried the brownies and coffee. They were all served really nicely. We’ll definitely be back for lunch or dinner 😍

Very nice to have a drink and a snack here. Situated near the Tramplein bus station in the center of Purmerend. The staff is extremely friendly and polite, the coffee tastes delicious and the service is overall very satisfactory! The guest is central and is completely pampered here. Awesome!!

Delicious dinner last night, the service was super nice!

Nice restaurant with a nice play area for the kids. A big plus is the children's menu. The toddler got a delicious toasted sandwich on brown bread with a salad. Where in most restaurants the children's menu consists of fries or sweets, nutritious food has also been considered. Also good price quality. I heard the waiter say to the cook; not too much butter for the baby (I didn't ask for this). I think this is fantastic. We like coming here.

We recently celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary here. It really was a fantastic party for us. The service was excellent and the snacks really delicious. The reactions from our guests were positive. In short, highly recommended to throw a good party!!

we have tried to visit your restaurant for the third time now and every time we are treated very rudely and today we were told to please leave because we don't have an appointment and the restaurant had many tables open so you can't enter your restaurant visit spontaneously? if the restaurant was very full, I would understand that you need an appointment

On Sunday afternoon, June 11, we waited on the terrace for more than 20 minutes Service, older man was having a nice chat with customers, I raised my hand but walked inside when other customers were speaking, walked back inside, he couldn't find the beer he ordered, walked back inside, didn't look again, then I got fed up and went home I live above the restaurant, bad service for expensive beer prices

Food was fine...but they forgot the fries... When paying, another staff member stood there, looking angry with his arms folded. (A bit awkward!) Couldn't help but smile. Didn't say hello either. Fortunately, the boy behind the cash register was friendly.

I had a surprise high tea for my mother with 8 people. Were super nice and helpful. Nice location and tasty food. Cozy place and nice people!! I left a nice tip for the hardworking top performers. We will definitely come here again.

Nice meal. Just a pity that instead of Mint tea with Ginger and Honey, we only received warm water with Ginger! That for all 3 orders. Twice I asked the waitress to bring Mint for all 3, but she just continued without saying anything. When she brought the bill she didn't say anything about it. Pity.

Enjoyed Christmas brunch on Boxing Day with the whole family at Brownies&Downies on the Koemarkt in Purmerend. It was incredibly well looked after by a great team. Gluten-free/vegetarian, it was no problem and tasty.

Had a very nice lunch at brownies & downies in Purmerend. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the food and drinks are delicious! Chose your own lunch board with various sandwiches, soup and a smoothie. The latte macchiato is served on a tray with a mini brownie, whipped cream and water. Both inside and on the terrace, the interior is very cozy and has a nice atmosphere. In short, highly recommended, I will definitely come back here soon!

Good coffee also the option of soya milk available. Good service and nice people. :)

A nice place to have a high tea. Location is easily accessible. Both by car and train. The people who work there are also nice and helpful. Would love to come there again.
