Nice place, delicious food and drinks and customer-friendly staff.

They have a spacious play area for children (ages 1-6), so they can entertain themselves. This allows you to enjoy a drink and a snack undisturbed. I asked for a little tap water for my 1-year-old because they're not allowed to drink from their own cup, but I had to pay for it (just a heads-up, as I was a bit surprised, as this wasn't mentioned when I asked). Otherwise, I highly recommend stopping by if you have young children.

Quality food. Friendly people. Nice atmosphere. If I had to criticize anything, it would be the limited menu. But perhaps that's precisely the strength of the good food.

What a great idea to put a kids'play area in a small, friendly café. There are tables at the side of the play area so that grups can watch their toddlers and drink their coffee. Staff are very welcoming. Can't comment on the food as we only had coffee for us and apple juice for the kids.

What bad service. Customer friendliness is hard to find. I understand very well that there are rules, but some rules don't make sense. No tables are allowed to be moved, but moving 2 tables 40 cm is going too far for me. It seems logical to me not to bring your own drinks. I completely agree with that. Simply refusing a 2-year-old child because he only drinks from his own drinking cup goes too far for me. This was the moment for us to step up. When asked who was in charge, a man turned around and said that he could not allow this because otherwise people would come in with the FEBO fries next week. It's bizarre that you make that comparison. Then you really have no faith in humanity. However, he also concluded with; okay then not goodbye. What incredibly poor customer service. Adjust some rules due to The concept that this case wants to convey seems desirable to me. They will not see me, nor a number of others, here. Word of mouth advertising travels quickly. Good luck in the future, I hope for you that you leave the concept, but make some adjustments.

We had a surprise menu with a large group that was for everyone present dietary wishes were adjusted.

Unfortunately. We came with a small group. The tables were not allowed to be placed together because the system could not handle that. No, sitting behind the post and not being able to look at the children. Definitely not friendly. The lady came to us angrily and said something, but as soon as she arrived she was behind a door again. Too bad that the lady who works there was a bit customer unfriendly.

Had lunch here with grandchildren. First waited 45 minutes for tea and chocolate milk. And after more than 1 hour I left this tent. Shame to make someone wait so long under the guise of pressure and shortage of staff. Never again.

Renzo was alone in the business due to circumstances, but we didn't mind that at all! That man can multitask. Our first drink included a bread platter, 4 delicious starters, 4 different main courses and 4 desserts. Also served culinary and he regularly came to the table to ask if we wanted anything else. He took into account that we had to be at the Purmeryn theater on time. That's right behind Smid. Ideal if you come from Den Helder and want to eat something first. Near the Claxonate parking garage.

Simply excellent! I had a nice meal here with a good friend and it was just really good. The atmosphere is great, the staff very friendly, just like the owner. What stands out is the quality of what you get. The meat was really good and the vegetables came from the grill, very tasty and much better than the sour lettuce or overcooked vegetables that you often get elsewhere. Nice for the parents among us: it is a child-friendly restaurant. For the smaller guests there is a play corner where they can enjoy themselves if sitting at the table really takes too long. In short, nice setup, good atmosphere and excellent food. And last but not least: the prices are not too bad. You're not bankrupt when you leave the house. Recommended!

Wonderful place to have lunch with children! Friendly service, the food is tasty and well prepared. The children can play happily and safely in the enormous play corner. The slide and garage are favorites with our 3 year old. Crash mats on the floor, everything has been thought of. There is a neat changing corner for the little ones and the toilets also looked neat. Here too, an eye for detail with the existing toilet seat reducer.

Had a nice dinner at Smid last night. We didn't have much time, so we only went for the main course. I had the sea bream fillet which had a delicious crispy crust. My husband had the pasta with goat cheese gratin. The portions are nice and the food tastes good. Now coming back again to try out the shared dining. At the back of the store, just like the previous owner, there is a large play area for children. The business is open until 9 p.m. on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays for a tasty bite to eat.

Formerly De oosprong and after a minor renovation the same formula. Try the homemade apple pie. Serious. Ideal for young children and parents/friends who want to chat. Maybe a little pricey but it's worth it. Good coffee and service.
