We thought the pancakes were way too thick. It made them very rich and, in our opinion, not any more appetizing. Of course, children insist on a decorated pancake, so I would choose the ingredients differently. The children had a great time and played happily, it was a beautiful location.

The service is very good, as is the food. It's a shame the upstairs play area wasn't exactly clean and smelled of sweat. Our children came downstairs immediately and didn't want to play there.

I went with two children and three adults. It was a nice idea that the kids could play upstairs, but I thought it looked shabby. The cushions on one of the slides had been removed, giving it a desolate look. The tables and chairs were also far from inviting. I thought everything looked very worn. The stairs, the swing gate, the whole impression. It could be improved so much with colors, etc. The food was delicious, and the service was friendly and attentive!

I've been there three times to use my children's vouchers, and all three times the staff wasn't very friendly. The food also arrived very late. It's a place I don't think I'll go back to.

Quick and helpful Service. Good Food and a nice space where kids can be kids. They can run around the Restaurant, be noisy, it does not matter. All it's good. There is a big outside area to play and inside the Restaurant there is another area with different options to play. My kid loves that she gets coins when ordering the Kids menu and can choose a toy using them.

Shockingly poor quality pancakes. Thick, undercooked. Even the kids couldn't finish them. And then €7.50 for 750cc of tap water! One star for poor value...

We had a wonderful meal at Bruis Blaricum. The carpaccio, €14.25, was fantastic, perfectly seasoned with truffle mayonnaise, a delicious seed mix, capers, arugula, and freshly grated Parmesan cheese. The service was friendly and good, although it was a bit busy. The atmosphere and interior are beautiful, creating a cozy and stylish experience. Considering the high quality of the food, the prices are also very reasonable. Definitely recommended.

We had a drink at your terrace this afternoon. It was averagely busy, but the service was downright terrible. A woman saw us (raised my hand, as she saw) but turned her head and walked away. A truly relaxing spot in a lovely neighborhood. It's also great if you have kids, thanks to the outdoor playground and upstairs play area. The food is delicious, and the staff is great!

I drove all the way there to have pancakes with the kids, but I've had better ones closer to home. The interior looks very nice. They have a menu with everything, so there's plenty of choice for those who don't want pancakes.

This place needs updating. The children's area is filthy. The toys are broken, and the "cinema" consists of a TV that doesn't work and two benches with large holes in them, making them unsuitable for sitting. The waitress (who is the manager) is completely unsympathetic to dietary needs and treats you like a fool when it comes to allergies. Fortunately, the younger staff understood us and were very friendly.

No children's pancakes, strange, isn't it? Vegan, gluten-free, or lactose-free pancakes cost €3 extra. A pancake costs around €18, so €21 for gluten-free. These pancakes are also much thinner than regular pancakes. I haven't had to pay extra for anything, for example, lactose-free pancakes.

The restaurant is fine for the neighborhood, but there's definitely room for improvement. The patio furniture is outdated and looks cheap – the faded orange chairs and the general furnishings could use a refresh. The outdoor area for the staff, which guests walk past, also looks cluttered. Smoking and eating in full view of customers is not very inviting. The food is okay, the menu isn't very extensive, but given the prices, you'd expect a little more attention to ambiance and appearance. If more attention were paid to the decor, the overall experience would be more in line with the price. Currently, it feels a bit outdated, and little has been updated.

The food was fine, nothing special, and the service was excellent. Unfortunately, it looked a bit dated. The children's restroom was dark, there was no soap, and the light switch was broken and covered with duct tape. I informed the manager, who sent an email to management. I wouldn't go back.

Very nice service. The food isn't great, but for such a beautiful location, it could be better. The chicken satay had way too much fat and seemed pre-cooked. The spare ribs were dry and lacked flavor. But again, very nice service, but please raise that level.

I don't complain easily, and for a place geared towards children, my expectations are generally quite low, but even those weren't met by a long shot. - My 8-year-old enjoyed it, although the advertised water show consisted of just one sprinkler. - My 13-year-old didn't have much to do, and he complained about the playground's maintenance (the trampolines were missing many springs, and the depth of the pit underneath wasn't designed for his weight). - For parents, there's nothing but a noisy patio and food that would embarrass a fast-food chain. The burger was still partially raw and tasteless, the lettuce was clearly just for show and had no dressing. The only thing we were all reasonably satisfied with was dessert. We won't be going back.

Delicious food, friendly staff, and very accommodating to dietary requirements! There's an extensive allergen menu available, which you don't even need to ask about if you specify it when booking. The food was delicious. Lots of flavor and not too greasy. The desserts were also very good. The menu offers many options, and they're happy to accommodate allergens. The location is also very nice. Plenty of seating and plenty of space.

Took a long time for the food to be taken, food was lukewarm

Pancakes were way too thick, and the toys and playground were very outdated. The service wasn't great; they were just doing their thing. Staff were on their laptops even though the place was empty. You'd think the service would be friendly and fast, but it wasn't. Furthermore, a children's pancake was over €10. We paid €65 for three people, and one of them was a one-year-old.

Great place but the manager was short and unfriendly from the moment we walked in. It was 2 hours before closing time but she clearly didn't want to have guests!

Pancakes are unfortunately cold when they are served, according to the staff that is how it should be. They are also small and flat. Better to bake them yourself. Uitsmijter is good. Croquettes good. Coffee fine. 5 delicacies with coffee not special. Piece of cake and chocolate were tasty. Not cheap these days, like many restaurants. Large parasols outside. Great terrace and seating.

Unfortunately not a good experience with Bruis. As previous reviews already indicated, the arrival is far from inviting. The entrance along a shed where staff is smoking with bulging ashtrays, broken advertising signs, etc. Food and service; the quality of the dishes absolutely does not correspond to the price. Satay with raw fries, tough kroepoek a mountain of atjar to fill the plate, tasteless side dish without dressing. I reported this and nothing further was done about it. Service understaffed. Not recommended.

Were there with a large group to celebrate a 50th wedding anniversary with a lunch. It went very smoothly, really great how they took the orders and that it was served to everyone at the same time!

The atmosphere is great, I find the play piece upstairs disappointing (additions of toy diversity would be nice). Outside is great. Service was fine, too bad the menu was wrong and the 6.0 beer turned out to be a 0.0. She also didn't know what was on the changing tap, which made it take a bit longer because of the walking back and forth, which she didn't seem to really like. Food was very tasty, pancakes were thick and tough but the children ate them up. The spare ribs were tasty and tender, just like my husband's stew. Also little choice for gifts of 6 coins that come with a children's pancake. Toilets were not very clean by the way. Should definitely be checked more often to see how it looks. Effervescence is no longer what it used to be. Sad condition, many things are no longer beautiful or neat, the same applies to the play attic. The welcome sign outside is broken and ugly: not a nice or neat welcome. The asparagus soup was super hot, no asparagus to be found. Salmon was very dry and potatoes with vegetables were overcooked to such an extent that all the color and texture of the vegetables was gone. Sparse plate for a fixed price. No normal tea in the range (Ceylon or English tea). Last time I've been here. Friendly staff.

Children liked it because they could play. But unfortunately we were not really helped, we had to walk to the bar ourselves to order something to drink. The place was anything but full so there was no real reason to do so. The hamburger I had was also not tasty. The meat was well done, but the cheese was not melted and the bacon was uncooked and very dirty. Pancakes were fine.

Went with Social Deal on 30-04-2025. It was a mess there. Had to wait 45 minutes for a pancake. Tables not cleared, complaining customers who were compensated with free drinks. The toilets were dirty and full of bins. These people clearly couldn't handle running a restaurant. The pancakes weren't tasty either. When I went to complain I heard the cook say scornfully. Wasn't that pancake natural enough? The pancake was thin and crispy on the sides. I didn't eat it. Never eating there again, what a disappointment. Compensated with free drinks.

Eaten here several times. Both lunch and dinner. The children always enjoy themselves. The food has always been good so far. In the photo the XL carpaccio. Atmosphere is always pleasant and friendly. Small parking lot, but you can also park close to the swimming pool.

Dangerous situation on the stairs to the play floor. Daughter fell down the stairs because she couldn't hold on everywhere and children have to shuffle from one side to the other to get around the 'fall signs'. With crowds on the stairs and shuffling, she fell straight forward, several meters and landed with her head against a plate. (they are there so that children cannot fall down the entire flight of stairs, fine, but then no thought has been given to holding on). Daughter screamed in fear and pain, luckily nothing was broken, but she was covered in bruises. Staff didn't seem to notice anything, her loud scream and cry and my scream of fright is apparently normal there? nothing works, nothing... furthermore, pancakes.. are pancakes.. what do you say about them. The lady next to us was making extensive video calls for her "work"? looked like an "influencer" type. so you don't have to do it for the staff, people, and pancakes.

Bruis is a very nice family restaurant, where we had a nice Easter brunch with our group of 10. The care was complete, good reception and explanation, delicious food and the children were well taken care of, play attic, Easter bunny hiding eggs, face painting, crafts, etc. Friendly and enthusiastic staff.

Had dinner with a family group of 11 people for the youngest's 3rd birthday. We sat quietly at the large table in the back. Smooth and friendly service, mainly had pancakes. Children (3-7 years) had a great time in the play attic so that adults could chat quietly. Food arrived at the same time and hot. Afterwards we had a drink on the terrace in the sun while the children were in the outdoor playground. Wonderful family outing!

Very disappointing. The waitresses were mainly busy with each other. We entered and had to report as indicated. Then we wait, we are seen, but we are not helped. We were then given directions to a specific table to sit at. Not even taken there properly and immediately offered something to drink and asked us if we wanted the menu. We ended up sitting for almost fifteen minutes before we were helped, after shouting, and were able to order drinks and receive the menu. Furthermore, the food was fine. But for us a big letdown in terms of service.

It is a really nice place with a big playground and attentive staff. The food however is expensive and lacking in quality. My daughter's pasta sauce came from the freezer. Very watery and also very little sauce. The grated cheese was dried out and therefore clearly from a package. You actually pay 10 euros for some cooked penne. My almost 20 euro Caesar salad contained croutons from a package, a chicken fillet slice from a package, and there was no Parmesan cheese. The pancake was very thick, but tasted ok.

What a great tent! Very much enjoyed the service. That makes an evening! They were funny, attentive and judged us perfectly in terms of humor. Was great!

We did not have a pleasant experience. Some of the food was cold. The staff has no idea what each question is about. Also no interest in the customer at all. You have to hand out the drinks yourself, they only put them on the edge of the table. The first coffee was cold, the second was fine, but then the spoons were gone. When I asked how to stir the sugar and if they had anything else (even if it was just the back of a fork, I'm not that fussy) the answer was: "Hope it dissolves in the coffee quickly. No idea, it's very busy." First and last time for us. By the way, this is on behalf of a group of 8 people. So 8 customers who are very dissatisfied. I think it's a bit lame to write a review individually with 8 people, so that's why I'm writing this one.

The door opens poorly with a heavy stroller and the curtain for the entrance is inconvenient. If you order a coffee to go from the terrace, you have to go inside three times to ask if it is still coming. Ended up leaving without coffee.

Good pancakes, but quite expensive (20€ for a pancake with bacon mushrooms), the menu is otherwise not very special (who eats stew in a restaurant??). Nice play floor. Service was very slow and not attentive, we sat for half an hour with empty plates in front of us, even though there were plenty of staff around.

Ate and had lunch several times, purely because of the location. Service is good and friendly. The prices are way too high for what you get. More than 20 euros for a not very special burger is really too much. As well as pancake it is very basic. It is the only child-friendly restaurant in the district. Play attic is fun and good for kids. Playground too, maintenance is lagging behind. Fine if you have to be in the area, but I would really look further afield for good dining.

It was our first time at Bruis and although the service was excellent, the general impression was mediocre. Salad Riche (for € 23.75) not very tasty, dry serrano ham and mackerel full of bones. On the other hand, the pancakes were good and the play area for the children is excellent.

We had our New Year's drinks + pancakes with a large group of adults and children. The service was top notch. Nice place with two large tables. There is also a huge play attic where there is plenty for the children to do. In short, if you want to have a relaxed drink and/or meal with children, this is a great place!

Enjoyed the well-organized Christmas buffet on December 25, 2024. Nice that there was a special children's buffet. It's nice that the table setting has a children's and adult table. Kids enjoyed themselves on the play mezzanine (thanks to a large team they could see us) while we ate quietly.

It was cold, the heater was broken. The carpaccio XL was not really filling as a main meal. We were looked away, they closed at half past eight because we were the only ones there. I won't be back anytime soon.

Had a great afternoon of Pietenfun. Our grandson had a great time playing in the play attic, Sint and Pieten were very accessible and had plenty of time for all the children and the parents' desired photo opportunities. Pietenpret at Bruis, I can recommend it to everyone, we hope that Bruis will organize this again next year.

Very nice place to eat with children. Nice employees and the food was fine. With the games from the booklet on the table, the screens can also remain in the bag 😉 Through the game where you had to guess about an employee's name, age, pets, hobbies, etc., we found out that the nice lady who helped us was not called Cheyenne, but Elena. And of course, the children really enjoyed choosing a present with the fizzy mints. Recommended!

Restaurant Bruis in Blaricum has been the place for me for a good coffee or a nice lunch for years, but this weekend I celebrated my daughter's birthday there for the first time. We had reserved part of the space for our group. The Bruis team even let us decorate ourselves, so we were able to have a real party! A golden tip for those who come with children: Bruis has a play attic upstairs and an outdoor play area, where the kids can have hours of fun. While the children were playing, the adults could finally sit quietly (who says that isn't a little party in itself!). The atmosphere was wonderfully relaxed, and the staff made sure everything ran smoothly. In short, a top choice for this special morning. For those looking for a place to celebrate a children's birthday or other fun occasion, with entertainment for the little ones, Restaurant Bruis is an absolute must.

On Saturday October 26, 2024 we had dinner at Bruis with our children and grandchildren to celebrate grandpa's 75th birthday! Of course we had made a reservation because we came with 14 people. After arriving, I made a request to rearrange the arrangement of the 2 tables so that we had 1 long table. This was immediately responded to positively and in an instant we were all able to sit together. Delicious food with something for everyone. During dessert, birthday grandpa was spontaneously treated to fireworks in his Dame Blanche by the employees. A nice conclusion to a successful dinner. We would love to come back again!

Surprisingly comfortable. The lady in charge was neat and polite and the atmosphere was relaxed and inviting. And the little one could play wonderfully both indoors and outdoors.

Came across it via Google along the way. We wanted to eat quickly and we succeeded. We had a pancake and the bubbly burger. Burger a 9.5, fries a 7.5, pancake a 7.5. wheat beer on tap was delicious and the double espresso afterwards certainly deserved a 9+. In short, a good experience and good and friendly help. If I'm in the area again around dinner time I would go there again.

Geen aanrader. Het kan zeker een leuk restaurant zijn. Op de website wordt aangegeven dat er vanaf 12 uur water speelgoed is voor de kids maar helaas was dat er na half 2 pas. Na meerdere malen gevraagd te hebben en op een niet al te vriendelijke manier antwoord te hebben gekregen van meneer kwam het speelgoed. Beetje jammer dat je dan als dank de octopus sproeier vol in je gezicht gezet krijgt en dat daar geen verontschuldiging voor wordt aangeboden.

Not recommended. It can certainly be a nice restaurant. The website indicates that there are water toys for the kids from 12 o'clock, but unfortunately they were only available after half past two. After asking several times and receiving a not-too-friendly answer from the gentleman, the toys arrived. It's a bit of a shame that as a thank you you get the octopus sprayer shoved right in your face and no apology is offered for it.

I don't see what the thoughts behind this tent are. Attract parents with children? In a neighborhood with many double-income earners, who dump their offspring in the playground... well. I am amazed at the prices people dare to charge. Glass of lager €3.95 and then lots of foam, so that there is not 25 cl of beer in it. Those glasses are full of currants. Charge a lot and offer less. Soft drinks from €3.50. Furthermore, a far too expensive menu for an atmosphereless canteen-like tent.

Delicious food and a cozy atmosphere. It is very important to us that the grandchildren can eat well and, above all, play. They feel completely at home here. And there is always positive attention for them by the staff.

I recently ordered a burger for my son but he didn't want it. (I thought so) he apparently wanted a pancake, this could still be converted into a pancake despite the fact that work had already been done on it. What a service!! Super thanks. Highly recommended for anyone with children or people who like action! 😂
