Wonderful find. Very nice and very thought through wine list, delicious food, loved chef’s take on foie gras and tarte tatin.

We had a lovely meal at Bistro Chapeau last night. The dishes were delicious and we had a great evening. My girlfriend only eats vegetarian and they were flexible about that. I cannot agree with the reviews I read about bad service, on the contrary I found it very friendly and caring. In addition to compliments to the kitchen, also compliments to both the owner and the lady who took care of us last night. The only tip I can give is not to charge for the bread if it has not been specifically ordered. I also read this in other reviews and it would be the only point for improvement. This, despite the fact that it is a small amount, still leaves a bad taste.

At the invitation of friends we had an excellent meal at this restaurant. With the nice weather we sat on the small intimate terrace, in the middle of the village. Started with a glass of champagne (Ruinart!) and with it fresh oysters and blinis with salmon. The starter sweetbreads immediately revealed that a very good chef is at work here. Then a great sole and to finish crispy profiteroles with salted caramel. The service deserves an extra compliment. The hostess is friendly and professional at the same time. Nothing escapes her and makes sure that nothing is lacking. Good wine advice and fine thin glasses. The party did not stop because the closing espresso came with a beautiful madeleine and vanilla sauce. Hey it was just hard to leave. We had a nice grappa with it and another and another. Experienced an unforgettable evening.

Had a lovely lunch on this terrace with classic egg mayo and an excellent steak tartare with accompanying fresh fries. Then a coffee with Madeleine for dessert, my day couldn't be spoiled. It's been a long time since I ate so well, strength in quality and simplicity. Definitely recommended!

The most delicious North Sea sole of 't Gooi and that mashed potato 50/50 butter, ohhhhhh! Delicious with a glass of Provence Rose on the French terrace, wow.

What a great place, everything is right! Nice old-fashioned and chic covered with linen, also on the terrace. Delicious house wines generously poured and good beautiful French dishes. We enjoyed it, will definitely come back, if only for the cheese cart.

What a discovery! Went here on the advice of friends and it turned out to be a kind of hidden gem. Small intimate restaurant with a very personal atmosphere. The food is really classic French and incredibly good. The wine list is carefully composed and contains a beautiful selection of white Burgundies. The service is friendly and very professional, with a compliment for the choice of various beautiful glassware with the wines. The unlimited pouring of (free) table water is nice. The cheese making was an experience in itself, what quality. Here they still cook real food and you can enjoy an evening carefree with quality, service and craftsmanship on all fronts. Hostess was very unfriendly and unwelcoming. Despite it being a small restaurant at no time she came to enquire if we were satisfied with the food and/or service. Her entire evening was spent with regular and high spending guests. The food was good but they basically charge for everything even if you don't ask for it (water, bread, etc). One of my guests overheard her and a junior waitress talking about us saying 'this table spent the entire night on just one bottle of wine!' embarrassing me immensely. When I checked the bill I found it they had charged us 2 bottles instead of 1. When I asked the waitress to take it from my bill there was not 'sorry' or 'apology' for their oversight. So disappointing and unfortunately I can't recommend this restaurant despite the food being fine.

A young chef who is a 100% master of classic cooking. And remains himself. Great wines. Professional at the front. It could be a little looser there. Furthermore: CHAPEAU!

Simply delicious every single time, love to go back for their seasonal specials but also for their regular more permanent items on the menu, which are all done to perfection. A true privilege to have this intimate little gem of a French bistro in the area!

Delicious food in a nice and cozy atmosphere (French atmosphere). Welcoming, attentive and excellent service. The Confit de Canard and the Oeufs Mayonnaise (awarded in Paris) are delicious. Just like the crispy profiteroles and asparagus that could be ordered as a side dish. We will definitely come back here!

Wederom een teleurstelling. We komen vrijdag spontaan bij Chapeau om te dineren. Het was 20:10 uur, genoeg beschikbaarheid maar de eigenaresse wees ons simpelweg de deur omdat het na 20:00 uur is. Ze nemen na 20:00 uur geen gasten meer. Gastvrijheid is ver te zoeken. Jammer!

Nice staff and super delicious food.

Lousy service. Unfriendly hostess and an owner who only speaks to guests who have a nice bottle of wine on the table. Had to ask 3 times where our wine was. Not the same order 3 times, but almost with every order. Do you find yourself staring too haughtily at whether you can afford it if you order wine from a decent house? Don't donate extra, charge for bread you don't ask for and so on. The waiter runs away from under his body, the hôtesse could learn something from that. If serious mistakes are made and even damage is caused, this will not be reflected on the bill. What you do see on the bill are things that you did not ask for or did not receive. The kitchen is extremely good, delicious food. Too bad we will never come back here.

We had a great meal here again tonight. Very cozy bistrôt, where you can always eat well with good wines. We will definitely come back again in 2025.

My experience with this bistrôt is terrible. Reserved a table for two for Christmas dinner well in advance via a reservation site they use. The requested advance payment of EUR 100 has been paid. I even stopped by the same day to ask if they still had room, which was confirmed by the lady there. Today, December 9, 2024, the reservation for Christmas dinner was canceled by them, due to an error in the reservation system, which I very much doubt, given the verbal confirmation from the lady working there. My advice, avoid this bistrôt!

Mijn ervaring met deze bistrôt is vreselijk. Voor het kerstdiner ruim van tevoren een tafel voor twee gereserveerd via een door hen gebruikte reserveringssite. Het gevraagde voorschot à raison van EUR 100 betaald. Ben zelfs dezelfde dag nog langs geweest om te vragen of men (nog) plek heeft, wat door de dame aldaar werd bevestigd. Vandaag 9 december 2024 werd de reservering voor het kerstdiner door hen geannuleerd, met als reden een fout in het reserveringssysteem, wat ik zeer in twijfel trek, gezien de mondelinge bevestiging van de dame aldaar werkzaam. Mijn advies, mijd deze bistrôt !

Dit restaurant overtrof al mijn verwachtingen. Het eten was heerlijk, de service onberispelijk en de sfeer heerlijk. We probeerden een speciaal gerecht van de dag dat ons sprakeloos maakte. Absoluut, een plek waar we naar terug zullen keren.

Genieten in Blaricum Fantastisch lekker gegeten en ook de bediening is geweldig. Mooie wijnkaart met klassiekers maar ook verrassingen. Als je van de klassieke Franse keuken houdt dan is Chapeau een echte aanrader!

Eindelijk echt Frans Absolute must voor liefhebbers van de klassieke Franse keuken. Verse producten met mooi opgemaakte borden en goede vriendelijke bediening. Prijs/kwaliteit verhouding dik in orde. Van mij een dikke tien!

Kwaliteit en vakmanschap Bij binnenkomst wordt u op een prachtige met linnen beklede tafel geplaatst. De wijnkaart is met zorg en kennis samengesteld, een grote variëteit per glas en bovenal vele mooie Franse wijnen. We hadden steak tartaar en boeuf bourguinon, zeer goed geserveerd en met een nog mooiere smaak. Toen hadden we trek in kaas en tot onze verbazing kwam de gastvrouw met een kaaskar met een ruime keuze aan de mooiste kazen. Alle kazen werden met passie uitgelegd en onze vragen werden geduldig beantwoord. Het was een ervaring die je zelden tegenkomt. De kwaliteit is hier top en de service was vriendelijk en zeer deskundig. Een echt avondje uit voor een schappelijke prijs.

Fantastic food. How wonderful to eat escargots again as they should be. We were surprised by the matching wines that were also very good. The restaurant is very tastefully decorated. A small disadvantage that we experienced was the table that was assigned to us. It is right next to a large wine cooler, where the staff regularly has to go. The table is also too close to another table and also 'in the walk'. They can do without this table.

This is an absolute must for lovers of French cuisine. Warm welcome by the friendly staff. The atmosphere in the restaurant is warm and inviting. The menu offered a delicious selection of classic French dishes. The beautiful wine list is tailored to the style of the kitchen and the hostess is happy to give advice for the right combination. The service was excellent, attentive without being intrusive. We felt very welcome and we were really pampered for an evening. This young couple of owners work with so much passion and dedication, Bistro Chapeau has exceeded our expectations. We will definitely come back and can recommend this address to everyone.

The cuisine is amazing and the service is welcoming and impeccable. Repeatedly established that it is not a fluke, but that the quality is consistent every time. With the quality offered at the reasonable prices required, the inclusion in the Michelin Guide with a Bib Gourmand is well deserved.

A fantastic restaurant where everything is just right. I really enjoyed the hospitality and the delicious food. This is an address that should be cherished in the Gooi. Culinary tip: the ris de veau is one of the best I have ever eaten. I'm already looking forward to my next visit.

I have to give a review and a really low rating (-5 stars if I can). Staff full of attitude (because they have a bib now) and unfriendliness. How can #MichelinGuide give such a place a bib. Hope they seriously review next year. I am not able to experience this restaurant because a very rude person named Michele, in her very limited command of English asked me to “accept the fact that they do not like taking reservation for more than 6” and refused to think out of the box and to see how to accommodate a reservation for 8 people. (Hi, just added a screencap of the reply I got from the resto on my review based off my reservation experience, if you do not already have visibility to it. Just want to share this to reprimand and call out this Neaderthalic mindset. Bias, stereotyping and discrimination of any sort should be called out. For all you readers to make up your mind).

The food was delicious, the waitresses were super nice and the atmosphere was super cozy!! Highly recommended.

Dit is een pareltje in het Gooi. De uitnodigende sfeer en het warme interieur maken het meteen gezellig. Het personeel is attent en vriendelijk en biedt een uitstekende service. De menukaart biedt een een uitgebreide keuze aan traditioneel Franse gerechten, hier en daar met een moderne twist. Ook de wijnkaart is indrukwekkend en de gastvrouw helpt je graag bij het maken van de juiste keuze. De prijzen zijn goed in verhouding tot de geboden kwaliteit. Een absolute aanrader!

We hadden iets te vieren. Gekozen voor menu Bib Gourmand. Voor- en hoofdgerecht waren prima, dessert niet. Jongste bediende was erg enthousiast. De gastvrouw daarentegen niet. Chagrijnig type. Wij gaan niet meer.

Matige lunch kaart met de standaard gerechten die ook niet uitblinken in bijzondere variaties of excellente uitvoering. Bediening is ok, niet super snel, niet overdreven vriendelijk, maar ook niet vervelend.

Een fantastisch restaurant met persoonlijke service en knusse inrichting. Hier word tenminste nog als gast op nummer 1 gezet! Het eten is ambachtelijk en word met liefde bereid, de kok komt aan tafel en de bediening vraagt niet eens naar je naam maar herkent je meteen. Gezellig maar perfect, een heerlijke combinatie waarvoor wij graag terugkomen!

A fantastic restaurant with personal service and cozy interior. At least here as a guest you are still put at number 1! The food is traditional and prepared with love, the chef comes to the table and the service doesn't even ask for your name but recognizes you immediately. Een leuk Frans bistro restaurant met een elegante inrichting, heerlijk smaakvol eten en een uitstekende service door de dames. Wij wilden last minute “even snel” voor een afspraak nog uit eten en we waren blij dat we bij Chapeau terecht konden. Fijn dat ze rekening wilden houden met het feit dat wij dus niet onbeperkt de tijd hadden om te dineren. En wat was het genieten! We hebben genoten van de heerlijke gerechten (paling op brioche toast, gerookte zalm op blini’s, oeuf mayonaise ) met als afsluiting crème brulee als dessert en voor mij een espresso martini. De keuken is top en de service was vriendelijk en professioneel en wij komen zeker nog een keer terug om rustig uitgebreid te tafelen. Zo fijn als personeel echt haar best doet om je een goede ervaring te geven en rekening houd met je wensen en beperkingen. Toen het begon te regenen kregen we zelfs nog een paraplu mee die we een andere keer wel zouden terug brengen. Echt TOP service.

Wij zijn altijd meer dan tevreden bij Bistrot Chapeau en verbazen ons over de soms negatieve berichten hier op het internet. Gelukkig weten ze bij Chapeau heel goed wat ze doen, en zit het altijd vol met vaste gasten.. het mooiste compliment dat er is! Afgelopen oktober vierden we samen met de eigenaren het 5 jarig jubileum, en wij kijken nu al uit naar het 10 jarig jubileum! CHAPEAU!

Normaliter lees ik vooraf wat reviews van een restaurant, om een indruk te hebben. Vanwege een last-minutebeslissing om uit eten te gaan (als verrassing voor mijn tafelgenote), deed ik dat niet. Ik reserveerde einde ochtend online op de website van Bistrôt Chapeau zelf voor diezelfde avond, naar aanleiding van een aanbeveling van Michelin (Bib Gourmand). Ik kon reserveren vanaf 17.30 uur maar koos (vanwege verkeer) voor 18.00 uur. Het verkeer zat echter mee, dus om 17.41 betraden we het restaurant. Daar werd ons meegedeeld dat ze om 18.00 uur open gingen en dat ze nog moesten stofzuigen. Toen ik aangaf dat ik op hun website al om 17.30 uur had kunnen reserveren, werd mij verteld dat dit niet zo was. Vreemd, dus gingen we maar een korte wandeling maken door Blaricum. En liet ik mijn tafelgenote op de smartphone zien dat je echt vanaf 17.30 uur kon reserveren (zie ook afbeelding). Toen we om 18.01 uur de zaak betraden, waren er tot mijn verbazing al drie tafels bezet. En die gasten waren duidelijk niet één minuut binnen, gezien wat er op tafel stond (drankjes, fles water, brood). We kregen een tafeltje voor de wijnkast, een tafeltje dat er ad-hoc bijgezet leek; mijn tafelgenote zat met de rugleuning van haar stoel bijna tegen het schuin achterliggende tafeltje aan. Snel werd de kaart gebracht en ongevraagd een fles koel water op tafel gezet. Even later volgde een mandje brood met boter, eveneens ongevraagd. Dat brood bleek later doodleuk op de rekening te staan (€ 4,50). We kozen voor het Bib Gourmand driegangenmenu (€ 49,50 p.p.). En toen begon het lange wachten. Dat gaf me de gelegenheid om eens goed rond te kijken. De vreemde tafelschikking viel mij op. Aan een grote ronde tafel voor vier personen zaten twee mensen. Een gezelschap van vier personen zat echter aan twee kleine ronde tafeltjes. Apart! Maar door het lange wachten was er alle tijd om alles eens goed te observeren. Het werd mij duidelijk dat de twee personen vaste gasten waren. Blijkbaar hanteert dit restaurant het principe: vaste gasten zijn koning, nieuwkomers moeten het met minder doen. Het voorgerecht: mijn tafelgenote had de Rilettes de Poissons, ik de Pate de Veau. Die laatste was wat flauw van smaak. Daarna het lange wachten op het hoofdgerecht. Mijn tafelgenote had de op de huid gebakken zeebaars terwijl ik de tamme eendenborst had gekozen. Beide gerechten waren uitstekend. Toen we het hoofdgerecht om was, wees de klok inmiddels ver na 20.00 uur. Aangezien ik nog een stuk moest rijden, verzocht ik om het dessert wat vlotter te laten komen. En dat geschiedde: voor beide de Fraises Wilhelmine. Wederom een prima gerecht. De keuken van Bistrôt Chapeau is dus goed. De bediening (twee dames) is een ander verhaal. Het jonge meisje (als ik haar zo mag noemen) deed het uitstekend. De andere dame (duidelijk de hoofdgastvrouw; zij was het die ons wegstuurde omdat we te vroeg waren) is een ander verhaal. Ik heb inmiddels wél reviews (Google en Tripsadvisor) van dit restaurant gelezen (ook daarin wordt regelmatig het lange wachten benoemd) en las dit: “De gastvrouw was gewoon niet hartelijk. Ze kwam zelfs een beetje chagrijnig over.” En: “Het eten was prima, echter de bediening laat zeer te wensen over. De eigenaresse kan beter gaan afwassen dan bedienen. Zij schoffeert klanten als haar iets niet aanstaat.” Ook: “Gastvrijheid mede door norse gastvrouw ver te zoeken.” Deze: “De gastvrouw vonden wij nogal kortaf en niet echt vriendelijk. Misschien had zij haar dag niet. Het meisje in de bediening deed het prima!” Ik las: “Uitermate onvriendelijke bejegening!” Ik las ook: “We vroegen ons af of de eigenaar weet dat de hostess zo'n hork is...” En deze: “Mijn advies aan de gastvrouw is om eens kritisch te kijken naar haar eigen houding richting klanten.” Een ander: “Zeer onbeschofte gastvrouw.” En nog eentje: “Service bestond uit 2 personen, een verschil van dag en nacht. Een zeer opgewekte aardige en toeschietelijke dame: chapeau is op z’n plaats. De ander een wat norse ongeïnteresseerd ogende collega was een tegenvaller.” Laat ik volstaan met de constatering dat ik goed begrijp wat al deze mensen bedoelen. Mijn tafelgenote en ik laten dit restaurant voortaan links liggen.

Normally I read some reviews of a restaurant in advance to get an impression. Due to a last-minute decision to eat out (as a surprise for my dining companion), I didn't. At the end of the morning I made a reservation online on the Bistrôt Chapeau website itself for that same Saturday evening, following a recommendation from Michelin (Bib Gourmand). I could make a reservation from 5:30 PM but chose (due to traffic) for 6:00 PM. However, traffic was good, so we entered the restaurant at 5:41 PM. We were informed that they opened at 6 p.m. and that they still had to vacuum. When I indicated that I could have made a reservation on their website at 5:30 PM, I was told that this was not the case. Strange, so we went for a short walk through Blaricum. And I showed my table companion on their smartphone that you could really make a reservation from 5:30 PM (see also image). When we entered the restaurant at 6:01 PM, to my surprise, three tables were already occupied. And those guys were clearly not inside for one minute, given what was on the table (drinks, bottle of water, bread). We were given a table in front of the wine cabinet, a table that seemed to have been added ad hoc; my table companion sat with the back of her chair almost against the table behind it. The menu was quickly brought and a bottle of cool water was placed on the table without being asked. A little later a basket of bread and butter followed, also unsolicited. That bread later turned out to be on the bill (€ 4.50). I have now read reviews (Google and TripsAdvisor) of this restaurant (they also regularly mention the long wait) and read this: “The hostess was simply not cordial. She even seemed a bit grumpy.” And: “The food was fine, but the service left much to be desired. The owner would be better off washing dishes than serving. She insults customers if she doesn't like something.” Also: “Hospitality is hard to find, partly due to the surly hostess.” This one: “We found the hostess rather curt and not really friendly. Maybe she wasn't having her day. The girl serving did a great job!” I read: “Extremely unfriendly treatment!” I also read: “We wondered if the owner knows that the hostess is such a jerk…” And this one: “My advice to the hostess is to take a critical look at her own attitude towards customers.” Another: “Very rude hostess.” And another: “Service consisted of 2 people, a difference like night and day. A very cheerful, nice and accommodating lady: chapeau is appropriate. The other, a somewhat sullen, uninterested-looking colleague, was a disappointment.” Suffice it to say that I understand well what all these people mean. My dining companion and I will avoid this restaurant from now on.

You can taste that the food is cooked with love. Great meal. Classic dishes executed to perfection. Very cozy atmosphere and good service. Dine indoors and also eat outside on their lovely terrace in the summer. tip: take the fabergé egg - best ever

Well prepared (neo)-traditional French; heavy fond based sauces, meats. Not very vegetarian friendly (1 option). At this price service should be better and more flexible about accommodating requests and less of a can’t do mentality. On the other hand, the can’t do mentality is also traditional French so maybe it’s a stylistic choice;)

An incredible Christmas lunch at Chapeau. The quality, traditional preparation and freshness is something you hardly find anymore. But it can still be found here in Blaricum near Chapeau. A small, cozy restaurant where the owner works in the kitchen and his wife works in the restaurant. The service is just good, everything is just right. On Boxing Day we enjoyed an incredibly beautiful Christmas lunch in a full, cozy restaurant, thank you Chapeau.

We had dinner at Bistro Chapeau on Christmas Day. We were warmly welcomed and the atmosphere was good, warm and cozy. We had a nice evening and a good meal. And therein lies the problem. It wasn't special. And that is what you expect with a menu price of € 120 per person, without wine arrangement. The service was friendly and the help was also touching. This made up for a lot, because he was a rookie when it comes to serving in a restaurant. The 4-course menu, not including the appetizer and the French pastry, was good but not surprising. At the pastry shop, of course, coffee or tea (not included) had to be ordered. Of course there is a lot to defend. Christmas, personnel costs and everything has become expensive. But there was also a chef at the table and together we arrived at a rating between 6 and 7 for what was offered and the price was 30% too high. But if the tables are sold out, then you might be doing well as an entrepreneur. 'Charge what the market will bear'. We will look for something different on 'the market' next time.

Fijne plek met echt frans eten Goede keuken en fijne sfeer! Bediening is attent, deskundig en vriendelijk. Het eten is van zeer hoge kwaliteit. De borden zijn mooi opgemaakt. De sfeer is ongedwongen en informeel. Fijne plek om van de echte klassieke Franse keuken te genieten. Wij komen hier heel graag.

Mijn favoriete restaurant! Het is er altijd superlekker, goede service en verzorgde setting. Chapeau blinkt absoluut uit ‘t Gooi en de echte locals en genieters weten dit. Ik vind het ook fijn dat het een beetje adult only is, en dat je je leuk kunt opdoffen als je er heen gaat. (Hoeft niet)

Fantastische plek! Heerlijk gezeten tijdens de oldtimer dag. In de zon met een Bib Gourmand menu echt super deluxe genieten, wauw. Bediening weet veel over wijn super leuk. Wij komen terug en raden iedereen aan hier even te stoppen, het dorp is ook gezellig.

We waren in de buurt en zijn maar even komen aanwaaien. Het ontvangst was erg hartelijk. Goede wijnen, heerlijke gerechten. Mooie ambiance. De bediening is top en de kok is echt geweldig.

Het eten is altijd heerlijk en alles is zo vers bereid en mooi opgemaakt. Absoluut ons favoriete restaurant in de buurt en we komen hier heel graag en vaak. Michelle en Nicky doen het top samen en zijn altijd super vriendelijk en ze hebben veel aandacht en een echte passie.

Hier een lekkere goede lunch genoten onder het genot van een mooie fles chardonnay. Het niveau is meer dan prima. Ik moet wel zeggen dat de bediening wel wat onder het niveau zit t.o.v. de gerechten. Het is natuurlijk de vraag wat de doelstelling is van deze zaak. Er is mist dus wat balans maar de kwaliteit van koken is klassiek en gewoon erg lekker.

Wat een genot, heerlijk gegeten nu al 2x fijne bediening persoonlijke aandacht ik geniet van dit restaurant. Blij dat we deze parel hebben ontdekt! Komend jaar gaan jullie ons vaker zien!

Excellent in everything. Small but perfect.

Ik was sceptisch door enkele reviews hier maar na een bezoek afgelopen weekend ben ik van mening dat dit restaurant echt een hoger cijfer verdient. Zeer fijne menukaart, vriendelijk personeel en gewoon een heel leuke plek om lang te blijven zitten. De Foie Gras is echt een aanrader! Kortom; gewoon gaan!

Wat een fijne zaak, hier krijg je nog echt goed frans klassiek.

Wij eten altijd fantastisch bij deze gezellige bistro. Niet voor niets zie ik elke keer dezelfde gezichten, en word iedereen ontvangen bij naam en toenaam. Wanneer een restaurant zo een hechte en grote vaste klantengroep heeft, moet het ook wel goed zijn. In het dorp word uitsluitend positief gesproken, en ook de bordjes van Michelin hangen mooi naast de deur. De bediening is ervaren en van bovengemiddeld niveau, de keuken gewoon top. Maar de gastvrijheid en sfeer maken het mijn favoriet. Dank Michelle en Nickie en trek je vooral niks aan van de anonieme azijnpissers hier, die kunnen beter elders gaan! Groetjes Loes

Wat een verschrikkelijke bediening..

We found this restaurant after visiting Laren and decided to have dinner there despite the average reviews we read. After all I am French so I can make my own opinion. We were not disappointed at all. The service was good and discreet and the food was prepared and presented with care. They also know how to advise about wine. I was very happy to engage with the owner who asked my honest opinion about their crème brûlée. I hope my modest tips will make the desert even better. I know this business (like so many) has been struggling during the pandemic and I am very happy to support them when the experience is good. Keep going team!

G E W E L D I G ! Mijn nieuwe favoriet restaurant in de omgeving ('t Gooi) dus hartelijk aanbevolen

Aardig gegeten en kwalitatief goed, maar de hele beleving is ietwat magertjes. De gastvrouw is nors en niet heel erg bedreven in het overbrengen van een welkom gevoel. Het is plichtmatig en ook het jongere meisje in de bediening lijkt zich niet erg op haar gemak te voelen om zichzelf te zijn of er iets uitbundigers van te maken. Voor een vrijwel leeg restaurant juist de kans om er wat moois van te maken voor de gasten die er wel zijn. Ik heb het niet kunnen waarnemen in ieder geval dus de vrijwel lege tent kan ook gevolg zijn van het feit dat meer gasten niet heel enthousiast worden van de stemming. De doorlopende lijst van Franse muziek was mij persoonlijk net iets te veel, maar goed dan moet je misschien de Franse bistro in het geheel overslaan. Dan het eten en de wijn. Prima kwaliteit en klassiek met keuze in bereidingen te over. Goed van smaak, maar tegelijk niet bijzonder. Het is alles bij elkaar een mager 6’je en ik zal niet snel terugkomen gezien er in de regio simpelweg betere opties zijn waar je voor dit geld je een stuk meer gast kunt voelen.

De hondjes waren meer dan welkom

Gezellig restaurant in het hart van Blaricum. Hoewel het restaurant niet groot is wel ruim oogezet. Fijn is deze corona tijd. De klassiek Franse gerechten waren echt heerlijk. De selectie huiswijnen is ook uitstekend. Het enige min puntje is dat de bediening, hoewel uiterst vriendelijk, een beetje haperde. Zo werden bijv. De jassen niet aangenomen. Heerlijke eten, fijne avond!

Uitstekend! Fijne grote tafel met veel ruimte om je heen. Voelt fijn in deze tijd. Alle gerechten waren subliem. Bekend maar toch even anders. Bediening moet nog wat meer routine krijgen maar waren voor de rest super vriendelijk.

Okay eten, niks bijzonder voor de prijs. Service bestond uit 2 personen, een verschil van dag en nacht. Een zeer opgewekte aardige en toeschietelijke dame: chapeau is op z’n plaats. De ander een wat norse ongeïnteresseerd ogende collega was een tegenvaller. Hospitality zit ‘m in details. Tip: kom achter de kassa vandaan als gasten binnen komen, vraag of je met jassen kunt helpen; dat maakt dat gasten zich welkom voelen. In plaats daarvan: “heeft u gereserveerd?” is niet de openingszin waar je je welkom door voelt. Gerechten die uitverkocht zijn meld je even (niks aan te doen) maar je stelt ook een alternatief voor, maakt suggestie voor de wijn etc. Oogcontact met mensen, het is relatief zo simpel om gasten om hun gemaakt te stellen. Help bij weggaan weer met jassen (of bied het op z’n minst aan of geef aan waarom je het niet doet), basic stuff! In het kort: matige prijs/kwaliteit, erg matige service.

Afgelopen vrijdag voor de 2e keer heerlijk gegeten. Wat enorm fijn restaurant! Verfijnde keuken, ontspannen sfeer en prettige bediening. Mooie smaken en goed geproportioneerd.
