Café Moeke Spijkstra in Blaricum is an absolute gem. It has a super cozy, homely vibe that makes you feel welcome the moment you walk in. The bartender is always kind, attentive, and knowledgeable, which adds so much to the experience. We usually have to wait since we never reserve, but we honestly don’t mind it’s always worth it. The menu is simple, but every dish is delicious and made with care. A perfect spot for comfort, great food, and warm hospitality. Five stars!

I ordered the fish salad for €21.95, but unfortunately, it contained an avocado that was completely unripe and tasted rubbery. For that price, you'd expect all the ingredients to be good and fresh. When I asked for a ripe avocado, the waitress said she'd check with the kitchen, but unfortunately, nothing came back. I ended up leaving feeling disappointed. It's a shame, because the atmosphere is truly great!

My parents and I had a delicious lunch here on a slightly chilly but sunny Sunday. My mother's tuna and shrimp salad looked delicious, and she thoroughly enjoyed it. I had a wonderful pumpkin and sage soup (and perhaps some bacon bits, but I didn't see any). The soup was delicious! Outside, people in thick coats were enjoying their wine and the last rays of sunshine, and inside, it was wonderfully peaceful. The old-fashioned decor made me long for a glass of young jenever after dinner. I often go here with my mother for dinner!

Everything was good there. Still, 4 stars because it was so busy and normal conversation was a bit difficult. The food and staff were simply amazing.

You can eat well here, and if you're lucky, the daily special is still available. The atmosphere is great, with pleasant folk music in the background. The staff is very efficient and flexible. Despite the high level of "balls" (balls), it's a really cozy place to be. Reservations are a good idea! Waiting at the bar is no punishment.

Always good, very friendly and unhurried service, excellent value for money. The food was served quickly, but that certainly didn't compromise the quality. Reservations for the terrace are recommended on sunny days; there was plenty of room inside.

Tucked away in an uninviting corner, we ate extremely dry schnitzels and Hong Kong satay. Both were truly awful. We won't be eating here again for a while.

Business service, nice sandwich, fair price, sweet wine €6.50 I found expensive, beer €3.50 and yes that is everywhere, but I find it too expensive. Furthermore a nice place to sit. There is little to no vegetarian food. A changing casserole is nice, but not very creative. You don't know in advance what you order.

See in Blaricum one does not have allot of choice when it comes to places to go out and eat or drink. This place is definitely the place to be and for a Friday afternoon to early evening I enjoyed my time. I give this place five stars 🖐️

Voedselvergiftiging opgelopen en een week ziek geweest. Waarschijnlijk salmonella. Als je mes, snijplank en handen niet goed wast na het snijden van kipblokjes kan zoiets gebeuren. Meldde dit bij mijn gymclub als reden voor afwezigheid. Reactie was herkenning van de slechte keuken, waaronder nog bevroren garnalen in een gerecht..... te kleine keuken, te weinig opgeleid personeel?

Moeke Spijkstra is al jaren een begrip in 't Gooi. Meestal is het er ook erg druk met veel dorpelingen, mensen uit de omgeving en uiteraard ook toeristen. De keuken varieert in de tijd van redelijk goed tot zoals zij zelf zeggen een 'café met eetallures'. Gisteren weer eens geweest op een maandagavond. Heel druk, erg gezellig, goede bediening en voor nu een uitstekende keuken. Prettig om zo'n oude dorpskroeg om de hoek te hebben.

What a wonderful spot this is! The atmosphere is great and all about conviviality. Drinks were a little on the expensive side but it was definitely worth it. I will definitely come back here again :)

We came here with friends without a reservation. On this busy Valentine's evening, the staff took all their time. Because of Valentine's Day, all ladies received a glass of champagne and a rose, which I thought was very thoughtful. Food is good, type Dutch menu. This is a good place for a quick but tasty bite.

Cozy brown cafe, which is fun with music on weekend evenings. Very nice service, lots of round tables, neat and tidy and excellent food. Would describe it more as a living room with many regular customers. Food tastes great. Some special things that struck me? Glass of Sauvignon on the menu is 4.75 and on the bill 5.95? The exact same glass of house rosé was suddenly 7.50? Was the same (bottom in very large glasses, by the way), but more expensive. If you order a main course, it will come with fries. Then you should each receive a portion of fries; we received one cone together. Fine, but not as it should be, I think? And would it include asparagus? Found exactly 1 asparagus somewhere... Very tasty, real peppercorns, tasty mayonnaise and would definitely come back!

Had lunch for the first time in this very cozy cafe with matching interior. Upon arrival we were welcomed very warmly by a very friendly young man. The lunch was delicious and the wine is served in beautiful large glasses. Highly recommended.

Tussen twee zakelijke afspraken door en onderweg van Utrecht naar Almere kom je langs Blaricum en dus langs Moeke Spijkstra. Eigenlijk zou het bij wet geregeld moeten zijn dat elke zichzelf respecterende gemeente zo’n café-restaurant heeft! Laag drempelig, ouderwetse Hollandse gezelligheid, prima keuken. Gemêleerd publiek, vriendelijk personeel, aardig terras, schitterend interieur… Moeke Spijkstra is DE plek om je thuis te voelen. En het eten dan?!? Ook dat is meer dan uitstekend. Ik kreeg de daghap geserveerd; zeewolf met hollandaise en zwarte tagliatelle! Super lekker en uitstekende prijs-kwaliteit! Last but not least, hond Cooper mocht gewoon gezellig mee naar binnen en kreeg een lekker bakje vers water!

Wij hebben geluncht bij Moeke Blaricum. Ze hebben hier niet alleen de prijzen enorm omhoog gegooid maar ook nog een het beleg gehalveerd. Als je een broodje carpaccio besteld krijg je letterlijk EEN plakje carpaccio op je broodje. Echt schandalig als je nagaat dat je hier € 12,25 voor moet betalen! Wij hebben hier ook iets van gezegd waarop wij als antwoord krijgen 'als wij er nog een plakje op zouden doen zouden wij nog meer moeten rekenen voor dit broodje'.... Leuke tent maar de recente prijsstijgingen en karige beleg maken dat wij hier niet meer naar toe gaan.

Tasty large pieces of well-cooked tenderloin, delicious satay sauce and good fries. Service: what is very disappointing is that we have to place every drinks order twice before it is served and the poppy waiter who acts so familiarly as if we sit here every week (we haven't been there for years). Atmosphere: at half past eight the pounding music is two times too loud, making it impossible to have a conversation and we are more or less blown out of the tent.

We have been coming to Moeke for years. Not because of the service or hospitality, which is really bad, but because of the location in the village and the walking distance from our house. Today was the limit; At 3:30 PM, an uninterested waiter (who has been working there for years but still doesn't recognize us even though we come there very regularly) places a reservation ticket for 6:45 PM (!) without looking at us. We sit with the dessert menu in hand... Normally we don't write reviews, but after several similar treatments by completely disinterested staff, we feel we should. Go to Blushing, sit next to it and have top, hospitable staff who serve with a smile!

Hele leuke plek, leuk, vlot personeel. Eten was prima. Ging een en ander fout met de bestelling maar dat maakten ze meer dan goed met de compensatie van een gratis drankje. Zo hoort het in een restaurant.
