Super nice place, delicious food and good service

Upon arrival, the waiter was somewhat less friendly and came across as very pushy, stating that we could only sit for a short time. We were there for lunch; the food was tasty and brought quickly by a woman.

We came here for a quick drink; the waiter who served us was immediately grumpy, and it came across as if we were being told to leave right away. Really not good service. The atmosphere was also depressing.

Delicious tapas. Highly recommended after a walk along the Geul.

Fine restaurant. The food wasn't great, the meat was a bit tough. Not what you would expect based on the decor and atmosphere of the restaurant.

It is a nice atmosphere; the ceiling inside is decorated with fake flowers. The waitresses are super polite and the food is tasty and of good quality. It is definitely recommended to eat here if you like tapas restaurants.

Great location, delicious food, and a real treat. The chicken satay is of really high quality, the spareribs fall off the bone; everything is equally tasty. I've also been seeing the same staff member for years, which I think is a good sign. They are also open to feedback regarding the experience. Some drinks are quite pricey, but of course, you don't have to order them. We will definitely be back; we are generally very critical.

Delicious food and friendly staff

Price/quality is not good at all; way too expensive for what you get. The meat was very tough; it seemed like everything was reheated in the microwave. The cold dishes, on the other hand, were very tasty. The staff were very nice, though. However, many empty bowls/plates remained on the table for a long time; the staff kept clearing only 1 or 2 bowls/plates from the table even though it was still full! We won't be going back anytime soon.

When we mentioned that we only wanted a drink, the waiter immediately made it clear that he wasn't pleased. Nevertheless, we sat down anyway and ordered a cocktail and a mocktail. To be fair, there was nothing to complain about. As soon as our drinks were finished, we really got the feeling that we had to leave as quickly as possible. Our glasses were barely empty before the waiter was already standing ready with the bill and a "have a nice evening," although he seemed genuinely bored. Even though the drinks were good, with service like this, you won't see us back here anytime soon...

We wanted to order 5 tapas for €27.95 from the server and were asked to place the order via QR code. The bill showed "All to Can eat" twice, which was much more than we had ordered. It seemed like a rip-off to me. That's why the bad review!

Ordered a sandwich. When I received the sandwich, the ingredient that is supposed to be in it was missing. So when I pointed this out, I was told no, it's sold out. Well, you should have said that beforehand, then I would have ordered something else. Very disappointing.

Very mediocre, food mediocre and service too

My parents did not have a pleasant experience here. They are not picky eaters and love tapas. They went here for dinner on a Friday evening and visit Valkenburg often. Well, what a terrible experience! The food was bad, portions small and disproportionate to the price. Simply not good quality. For instance, the cod could hardly be called fish; it was more like a dry fish stick with a lot of crust. The restaurant is very focused on tourists, and their attitude reflects that. The bill was 86 euros for the two of them, even though they left still hungry. Subsequently, they both became very ill; according to the doctor, it was food poisoning. This was the last straw, so they contacted the restaurant. The response after several attempts? "You are welcome to come and eat again." Naturally, my parents don't dare do that again, but no other solution or compensation was offered, nor was there any further response regarding their physical condition. We have since learned that the NVWA (Dutch Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority) has conducted an investigation and that the company does not meet the legal requirements for food safety. A word to the wise is enough. It is regrettable, given the whole situation and course of events. Hopefully, this company will actually do something with it this time!

We thoroughly enjoyed the tapas and cocktails. The service was very friendly and efficient. The place was almost full, but we were still able to chat comfortably as a couple.

The food is okay...mainly deep fried so whatever flavour it would have is covered by the fatty sensation. The person taking the first order (like the lead waiter) was quite impolite and he got us...we took the unlimited tapas which is not worthy unless you plan to eat for a week. Preferably get just portions as I read in comments they are big enough. Moreover they never told us about the sangria offer . All in all we felt unwelcome although the decoration and view made us think that it would be enjoyable.

Very atmospheric place, very attentive waitress. Sharing one lunch dish between two people was absolutely no problem. The food itself was more than sufficient and very tasty. I can definitely recommend it and will certainly come back here again.

My experience tonight. Fast service (maybe too fast). Someone ordered escargots... 1 empty shell... staff reaction: I don't know what it is. I ordered risotto; well, the rice grains were hard, so it wasn't cooked... pointed this out to staff, who took it back to the kitchen. Response: according to the chef, it was cooked? It wasn't! But anyway, the rest was delicious! The company was great too, so a top evening.

The service was bordering on scandalous. A waiter who refused (because we don't speak Dutch) to take our order. I have NEVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE IT!!! We had to leave after only our drinks because he wouldn't take our order. A complete disgrace. I won't let this review stop me and will share my experience everywhere I can.

We had a delicious meal in a cozy, warm atmosphere with friendly staff. There were four of us and we really enjoyed ourselves.

Reheated microwave food. Good food can't be on your table in a minute. Way too expensive for this poor quality. The staff could be a bit friendlier. What a factory. It was our first time, but unfortunately, it will also be our last.

We had a delicious lunch for two. We started with the 5-tapas happas and then ordered a few more. That's where everything went wrong: the 5-tapas happas were just small portions for sharing, like 2 bruschettas or 3 shrimp in pil pil (just to show in pictures). Then we ordered 4 more tapas (2 each, NOT for sharing). What's happening? We suddenly received huge portions without even asking. We received a large bowl of calamari, 3 spare ribs, 4 melted goat cheese rolls, and 3 melon slices with Parma ham. We didn't ask for this at all; we said, "Those aren't for sharing," and then we received such large portions. In the end, we spent a ridiculous amount of over €70 on lunch, which makes no sense. Lunch shouldn't cost more than €50 for just 2 people. This is so bad, we won't be back. It's a shame because the food itself is very tasty.

Delicious food, drinks and a nice relaxing atmosphere.

2026: When we're in the area, we love to stop by for a bite to eat. It's great that gazpacho is back on the menu! The menu does change, though. Which makes it nice to be able to try new dishes every now and then. Great restaurant! The dishes were delicious and carefully prepared again. 2025: Nice restaurant. Good location, delicious food, varied menu. Friendly staff. (... one very small point of criticism: we do miss the classic tomato gazpacho on the menu... That was really great!)

If you like tapas, this is the place for you. The all-you-can-eat buffet is especially recommended. The tapas are delicious, and the portions are just the right size for an all-you-can-eat buffet. This allows you to try many different tapas. The quality is good, and the service is attentive. Even when the restaurant is fully booked, the tapas arrive at the table very quickly.

Lots of choices, delicious fresh dishes! I would definitely recommend the bruschetta.

We had a lovely time. Luckily, the Google reviews and ratings helped us plan ahead; we booked a table for two. Once there, we had to scan the QR code on the table to order the various tapas. We found them delicious, and the service was excellent (no long waits between courses). The staff was also very friendly.

The food selection was very limited. Many things were clearly microwaved and very greasy. The host was grumpy and unfriendly, and things were constantly being forgotten. Not recommended.

Something's terribly wrong here... This restaurant has completely misunderstood the concept of "hospitality." I made a reservation for Christmas Day in September with confirmation... They had no idea... but "luckily" there was still a table. You order via a QR code stuck to the table. It's a handy system... you can choose four dishes per person... once you've made your choice, the food arrives within two minutes... Clearly reheated and lukewarm. The staff literally just hands your food to the table. They're completely oblivious, and someone else spends the entire evening emptying and loading the dishwasher, making a tremendous racket. The atmosphere seems okay, but I think the management needs to think twice.

Wow! What an evening! Besides the delicious food, there was a great deal for kids, who pay €1.75 per year of age. The food arrived quickly and was delicious, but most importantly, the atmosphere. The staff were so incredibly fun, created a wonderful atmosphere, and went above and beyond to make sure everyone had a great time. We were there during the Christmas parade, and everyone received glow sticks to really make it a party. We had a fantastic evening, thank you!

What a lovely tapas restaurant in Valkenburg. We also had guests with food allergies, and that was clearly indicated in the app. The staff were also very accommodating. They were very generous with food, and the food arrived quickly and was presented beautifully. Highly recommended!

Delicious tapas at reasonable prices. The chocolate mousse was very light and creamy, and there was plenty of it. Plenty of choice for everyone, from vegetarians to meat eaters.

We ate there for the first time in December. It was fantastic! Friendly, fast service, and the icing on the cake: a front-row seat for the Christmas parade. The spare ribs were excellent.

€37.50 for unlimited tapas, way too expensive for the limited selection, drinks and dessert not included. After ordering and eating the first round of 4 appetizers via an app, the app kept telling us we couldn't order the next 4 for another 15 minutes, and this kept appearing on the screen; those 15 minutes seemed endless. We finally ordered with the other phone, but only received 3 of the 4 appetizers we ordered. The stuffed mushroom never arrived, even when we asked a server about it. After the third round, which also didn't go smoothly via the app, we'd had enough. We paid and left.

Ate there for the first time. Superb in a word, delicious tapas.

With the Christmas atmosphere and parade, the staff was very friendly and fast. We thoroughly enjoyed the food and it was delicious.

This restaurant is terrible. Their sandwiches are so dry you almost choke while eating. Everything tastes old and limp, like it's been sitting out for hours. The staff doesn't seem to care, and the whole place feels unpleasant and chaotic. I would never eat here again.

We had a delicious meal in a charming atmosphere. The service was extremely friendly, and we were even allowed to take two more glasses home. We'll definitely be back.

Mixed experience with the food. Some dishes were excellent, some downright mediocre. But the fact that we, as a group of 12, were required to accept 10 different dishes each before being allowed to choose anything ourselves was quite disappointing. When we mentioned this, some of the staff became significantly less friendly. This made it seem as if they wanted to fill us up with "easy" dishes. It was stated that groups had to be given two rounds through the kitchen first, but this (the size of the rounds) should have been communicated better. If we had, we wouldn't have done it.

The atmosphere and staff were great, but we were disappointed with the food. The corn, for example, was flavorless. There was nothing wrong with it, it was fine, but we expected a little more.

The food was a bit pricey but otherwise fine. It's a shame dessert wasn't included. The waiter, who had a word tattooed on his neck, was either having a bad evening or was in the wrong line of work. He didn't look at the guests, barely responded to any questions, and even walked away without responding when you asked a question, even though the next table over heard it. It was an arrogant attitude. It was a shame about what was otherwise a fine experience.

Why not 5 stars? Because I think it's a shame dessert isn't included. Otherwise, it would have been a 5+. All the small dishes you choose yourself are on the table really quickly. I actually didn't eat anything I didn't like!

Had delicious coffee, a super cozy terrace, and good service. I can't comment on the food; I ordered a simple toasted sandwich, and it was simply delicious. What I was most impressed with were the restrooms. They were super clean and tidy, which you unfortunately don't even find in expensive restaurants anymore, but here there wasn't even a speck of dust. The doors and walls were meticulously cleaned! PERFECT!!

The food is average, and for €37.50. Ordering every 20 minutes is a long time. The atmosphere is good. But when you find plastic in your food, the response is deeply disappointing. At least a simple apology would have been enough. But they don't know how to do that. The staff could certainly use some training in service. This is one of the worst restaurants I've ever visited.

We went out for dinner here with a group of six friends. We're aware that large groups of friends can be annoying in Valkenburg. We're now well over 40, and none of us who drank—"4 out of 6 only drink soft drinks and 2 at most 3 beers"—or anything like that, were annoying to your establishment, the staff, or other guests. Yet, the waiter chose to overrule us by addressing us in a pedantic tone.

Simply delicious food with great service!

As always at Bueno we had a delicious meal, everything was neatly taken care of and the ambiance made us feel at ease.

The food isn't exactly exceptional. The steak skewer was simply tough and inedible. The salad was bland and tasteless. The sweet potato fries were okay. And the rest of the dishes weren't great either. Very bland and certainly not worth the price. Dessert not included. All in all, very expensive. The only positive is the restaurant's decor. It has a pleasant atmosphere and looks cozy. But really, do something about the food; it almost makes me feel embarrassed on my own.

What a lovely restaurant and the food was delicious. We went for lunch. We chose 3/5 tapas for a fixed price, including patatas bravas, baguette, naan, and aioli. Fantastic. It's a shame you're so far from where we live in the North, but I would recommend it to everyone. Keep up the good work. Great concept.
