Restaurant China in Wijk 01

Super friendly people. We picked up food today, but when we got to the car, it turned out there was a problem with the battery. We asked if we could wait inside the restaurant for help. They agreed, and they found us a spot by the heater to warm us up a bit, and we were even offered a pot of tea. So incredibly kind. It's great that people like them exist. It makes the world a little more beautiful. 🙏🏻🌸 And not unimportant 😉... The food was, as usual, super delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed it again. Updated 01-11-25: We had another delicious meal yesterday thanks to the delicious food from this Chinese restaurant. It was fantastic!

Inedible, terribly salty, hadn't been there in a long time, should have gotten better. Not so, and very expensive. Last time I went, you've been warned.

Taste is personal, and this isn't my cup of tea. But delivering an incomplete order is an immediate 1-star rating. Nobody wants to have to go back or follow up after they get home. This simply has to be done right the first time.

Had a delicious Chinese meal with my family

Just got vegetarian tjap tjoi here. More than half the container was full of chicken. A pleasant evening expertly ruined. The order was crystal clear; I even received the food with a "your vegetarian meal is ready." We will never be back.

A Chinese restaurant from the old days as the Chinese intended, it's nice that this place still exists..

Great Chinese takeout restaurant. I had to wait a bit longer, but I received some extras and an apology.

After more than an hour and a half, it finally arrived. I called again in the meantime, and it was supposed to be on its way. We had to wait another half hour. One dish was very hot, while others had already cooled considerably. A container with vegetables and chicken turned out to be a container with vegetables, but two pieces of chicken were found inside. No apology for the delay was given upon delivery.

We've been getting takeout from this Chinese restaurant for 24 years, and the previous ones were here. But that's over now. The quality of the food is simply good, but of the last five times we've ordered by phone, three times the food was ready much, much later than the agreed-upon time. The best time of the three: 30 minutes late. The worst was today: ordered at 5:45 PM for pickup at 6:20 PM ("yes, that's possible, see you later"). Finally received the food at 7:05 PM. That's a 45-minute wait for pre-ordered food. Around 6:35 PM, we asked if something was wrong. "No, everything will be here soon." After another fifteen minutes: "They're making it now." Then we asked if something was wrong. No answer. And worse, no apology. Yes, we could get free prawn crackers. That's what they said the previous times too. Apparently, prawn crackers make up for everything. But we'd already ordered and paid for them. Completely done with this. We're looking for another Chinese restaurant.

Somewhat dated, but therefore still very nice to go to.

The worst Chinese food I've ever had. It had absolutely nothing to do with Chinese food. My baked chicken was leftover meat coated in a flour mush. The accompanying noodles were ordinary, overcooked noodles that didn't belong in Chinese food or fit the bill. The whole thing had absolutely no flavor. I was so looking forward to a delicious Chinese meal, but unfortunately it wasn't. That was definitely the last time we went there. I can't recommend it.

Delicious food, lovely waitress. I got different prawn crackers because the first one stung my tongue, which I don't like. That's excellent service!

Prima Chinees restaurant in hartje Doesburg. De maaltijden zijn van zeer goede kwaliteit en met een ruime keuze krijg je altijd "voor elk wat wils".

Food is always great here. I usually have tenderloin or shrimp. Recommended!

We had been married for 40 years and wanted to have a nice evening so we went to Chinese Rest China, we had made a reservation when we arrived we were placed in a corner because otherwise there would be no room for the other people to arrive earlier, we were told that we waited an hour and a half for our food and when the time finally came we were given cold food as an apology, we were sorry and a small box with those Chinese vases that were very bad from Restaurant China, they have had better times before, it cost us around 70 euros and we left the food when they came. Still with coffee, we let them keep it, which was included in the price of Never again to Restaurant China in Doesburg

Delicious food in a spacious restaurant with friendly staff. Whenever we're in Doesburg, we always eat there. It's become a habit for us to have a delicious meal there whenever we go.

Do not deliver at the agreed time. It is now almost 1.5 hours later and we have not received anything yet. We contacted them twice by telephone, but we made no progress. If you can't handle the crowds, stop taking orders. Crappy tent. Definitely not recommended to order here.

Never order here! Food is not delivered. Called several times and got the answer that it would be getting later. Ordered before 6 p.m., but still no food at half past eight. Ultimately the order was cancelled. Not hospitable at all. Then don't accept orders if you can't handle it. What an amateurish ball joint.

I'm mainly going to take away, but there is plenty of choice for every budget. Tjap tjoy is a top dish, lots of vegetables and chicken and above all not too wet. The family takeaway menu has been our favorite for years, more than enough for three. And everything always tastes good. This was all before the takeover, since 2023 only rising prices and incorrect orders. Such a shame, it used to be my favorite Chinese, but I certainly won't go there again because of the exorbitant prices. The delicious family takeaway menu has increased enormously in price from 18 euros to 27.80. That's 50%!!!!!! Then Rowena's rice table and sushi will serve you better and cheaper.

Food was not really hot and the quantity of food compared to the price has decreased a lot, but it has become more expensive.

Real (old-fashioned) Chinese with tasty food and friendly service

The food is tasty, standard Chinese dishes. The people are nice. The entourage is as it has been at a Chinese for decades. In summary: an average Chinese.

Ordered online and picked up. Delicious food: best Chinese in the area. Still only 4 stars because at home it turned out that the ordered prawn crackers were missing.

Very deteriorated after the takeover in terms of quality of food and service. After receiving unfriendly customer service on the phone because we had already been waiting an hour for our order. And we were told that everyone had to wait. We got our food home after 1.5 hours. Unfortunately it wasn't that tasty and mainly because it was very bland and tasteless. Pity.

I have been coming to this Chinese for years before the takeover and after (still today) I can understand why people say that it would taste different after the takeover. I personally disagree with this. The food is and remains of top quality. I come back every week and the tip is always worth it. Highly recommended. Good price, very nice employees and top food. A 5/5. Recommended

Food that is not good tastes old

Ik heb foe yung hai met varkensvlees besteld. Thuis aangekomen, kreeg ik ipv vlees, vega vlees. Vreselijk. En die vrouw mag ook wel een beetje vriendelijker gaan kijken. Heel jammer.

Zeer uitgebreide kaart. Vriendelijke bediening en we hoefden niet lang te wachten. Porties waren voldoende. Heerlijk gegeten

Food was tasty, but that was a long wait

We have been coming here for years, both for takeaway and to eat in the restaurant. The ladies at the counter are always very friendly and helpful. The food is always very tasty, we think it is better than the other Chinese restaurants in the region.

Zeer verslechterd na de overname op gebied van kwaliteit van eten als service. Na klantonvriendelijk te woord gestaan te zijn aan de telefoon en lang wachten stond tevens de verkeerde bestelling klaar wat mijn inziens komt omdat ze niet (meer) weten wat ze verkopen.

De bediening was erg vriendelijk, eten stond vlotjes op tafel. Maar hebben wel gemerkt dat de afhaal beter smaakt dan in het restaurant. Misschien was het een moment opname. Uiteindelijk gaan we het nog een keer proberen.

Wij zijn hier in Doesburg als passant. Vanavond hebben wij hier heerlijk gegeten. Wij hebben gekozen voor een menu en dat pakte geweldig uit voor een redelijke prijs.

Na de overname hebben we teleurstellende ervaringen gehad en hadden we besloten om niet meer bij Restaurant China te bestellen. 6 maanden later op 25 juni wilden we het toch weer een kans geven met de hoop dat het weer net zo lekker zou zijn als voor de overname. We hebben gekozen voor de keuzemenu, foe yong hai kip, kip kerrie en vegetarische mihoen. Wij waren verrast, alle gerechten smaakten weer als voor de overname. Is de oude chef weer terug? Als je hebt genoten mag dat ook gedeeld worden. We hopen dat dit blijvend is en niet de volgende keer weer een teleurstellende ervaring gaat zijn.

Een goede kok die het eten heel smakelijk aanbied.

We hadden Bami goreng met saté besteld,..zeer karig,..niks er bij in een bak bami van de supermarkt zit meer vulling. Bediening had niet veel zin om wat te zeggen,... op een gegeven moment komt ze met een karretje aan met de vraag of we nog verder wilden eten!,... We hebben haar de tafel maar aflaten ruimen,.. wat raar zeg,..ik zat nog te eten! Heel jammer .

Zoals altijd weer heerlijk gegeten voor een schappelijke prijs. Muziek zacht op de achtergrond, prettige sfeer.

Sinds jaar en dag een geweldig restaurant met vriendelijk personeel en uitstekende koks. Er komen veel toeristen in Doesburg. Ik zou zeggen, als je lekker wilt eten, restaurant China is een aanrader.

Het duurde een uur voordat de soep kwam en een kwartier later het eten wat lauw was. De bediening is wel erg vriendelijk.

Wir bestellen viel dort das Keuze Menü sehr lecker haben immer 2 Tage was davon und das Sushi ist richtig gut.

Vriendelijk, gastvrij, lekker eten

Hele goede medewerkers, alleen jammer dat er veel naar binnen en buiten wordt gelopen door die jongens die het eten bezorgen. Weer wezen Chinezen hier, en het was zeer smaakvol.

Lekker gegeten. Niet de doorgaanse chinese buffet gerechten maar de specialiteiten van de kaart.

Vriendelijke bediening! Geen soep dan extra garnalen, geen probleem!

Gezellig, lekker en niet duur! Leuke bediening! Super. Afhalen en thuis laten bezorgen kan hier ook, helemaal top!

Goede Chinees en waar voor je geld

Zo lang ik in Doesburg woon (1990) met regelmaat "Chinezen" bij China. Zowel daar aan tafel als "meennemen". Altijd goed, altijd heel "netjes" geprijsd en altijd te veel. Een super loempia en heerlijke cassave kroepoek om nog maar te zwijgen over de teppanyaki-gerechten.

Rond het weekend is hier een buffet waar je heerlijk en onbeperkt kunt eten en proeven van alle smaakvolle gerechten. Super vriendelijke bediening, dit populaire restaurant is niet meer weg te denken uit het centrum van Doesburg

We hebben hier heer gegeten. Deze rijsttafel is echt een aanrader. Goede bediening en alle gerechten zeer smakelijk bereid.
