Delicious food, friendly service and a very relaxed atmosphere.

Last night we ate at Da Claudio in Huissen. What we didn't like the first time was that after drinks were served (about 15 minutes), it took about 25 minutes for someone to come and take our order. Starter carpaccio & beetroot carpaccio and two main courses... taken by the staff. It took 35 minutes before we finally received our carpaccio (neat and good, but the amount of beef carpaccio (about 70 grams) was very meager for the price). Main courses then took about another 60 minutes. The chosen products were well prepared, but the side dishes weren't so great. The menu listed potatoes/vegetables... well, we received one baked potato, sliced, and a small bowl of lasagna, half cold and dry (we think it was left over from the day before). It's a shame, because the restaurant has a perfect atmosphere... a real living room feel with neat decor.

Delicious food, lovely wines, and friendly service. And all for a great price. The four-course surprise menu with matching wine pairings was delicious. A fish starter, pasta primi, and a secondi with a beautiful piece of meat. We finished with a delicious dessert. The wines from Friuli (white), Sardinia (red), Sicily (red), and the dessert wine were excellent. Absolutely recommended for lovers of Italian cuisine. And we'll definitely be back!

One of my favorite restaurants for years! Top quality every time: from the wine to the food. The dishes are always surprising, whether you choose something with truffles or something else from the menu. The advice on wines and dishes is always spot-on. Highly recommended!

Four people had a wonderful meal at Da Claudio. The service was perfect, looking for interaction at exactly the right moments, polite and professional. The previous dinner was a few years ago and this time it surpassed the previous times.

Very tasty meal. Too bad you can only do a surprise menu with the entire table. Otherwise perfect!

Enjoyed a delicious Italian meal

Excellent Italian restaurant. Ate here with six people. Three stars for "service" because there was a lot of time between courses. We had plenty of time to chat... The food was fine, and it was not too noisy in the restaurant.

It will always remain one of the best restaurants in Huissen. Nice dishes, just a little different than usual!

Yesterday we thought we would have a nice bite to eat in a beautiful restaurant. And nice staff, we ordered filletto dello chef, a tenderloin for 29 euros per person and rolls in advance with herb butter, you could literally throw the rolls through the window, they were so hard, we reported that we got others, but unfortunately the same but we had to wait for the tenderloin. tasted good too, but it comes with potatoes and vegetables, when we finished the tenderloin we only received the potatoes and vegetables. Oh, sorry we forgot, it can happen, but that's expected for 29 euros per person. you do not get warmed up food from the microwave itself, the containers were too hot to store, this was neatly indicated, but nothing was done with it. The bill was asked for 10 minutes, but I got up to pay and now had to say it was busy, 6 staff members. and 8 guests but good for me no return X at this Restaurant

What delicious food and good portions. More focused on normal dishes, although they also serve pizza that looks great. But I can recommend the normal dishes. Delicious vegetables as a side dish.

What a great restaurant. We had such a delicious meal tonight. Pure and honest flavors prepared with love. And also served with love! You really feel great and go home satisfied. And no, maybe not the cheapest for everything, but more than worth it. By the way, you can make it as expensive as you want.

Had dinner yesterday with 7 friends. Had to ask for a drink, waited 11/2 hours for the starter. Then waited an hour for the main course. Didn't see anyone in between. Our experience with da Claudio was disappointing and very unfortunate.

Had a nice evening at Claudio's yesterday. Delicious food, good atmosphere and service. Nice leisurely pace. Generous portions of tenderloin with a delicious sauce with lots of vegetables and mushrooms. Tasty house wine. Excellent price/quality. See you soon!

Great food, and wonderfully quiet, no annoying background music. Great night

I liked it a little less this time. The spaghetti carbonara was crazy and nothing was done with it after we said something about it. Grand dessert was also not like before. There were fewer different desserts (no tiramisú), too bad! Outside, a man sat next to us who was clearly tipsy and kept walking away to take a drink. Talked loudly to others. I think I would have sent him away. Hopefully this isn't Da Claudio's decline!

Very atmospheric. Nice meal. I chose a dish that I had had before, and to be honest, I liked it better then, especially the vegetables that came with it. But this restaurant is definitely recommended

Wow! How tasty can you make food? Well, very tasty and in Huissen of all places. Really delicious Italian cuisine. I would almost say better than in Italy. Apart from the nice weather there of course. Definitely go more often. Mmmmmmmmm :)

Ate pizza and pasta at Claudio's. One of the few restaurants that is open on Mondays. We wanted to share the pizza and pasta, that was no problem and we even got extra plates for that. The pizza and pasta were very tasty. A great pizzeria for a great price. The toilets look very good, nice to see the wine cellar there. Legend: 1) Terrible! I don't recommend it, I will never come back! 2) Too bad, below my expectations, I won't come again. 3) Ok, nothing wrong with that, but nothing special, nice for once. 4) Fine, worth coming back. 5) Excellent! I recommend, I will definitely come back!

Dit Italiaanse restaurant is gevestigd in het centrum van Huissen. Het is drukbezocht en qua eten zeker aan te bevelen. Alhoewel in een verrassingsmenu verwacht je niet direct een (koud) bordje met pasta en mosselen. De bediening is minimaal. Bij binnenkomst zie je niemand en zoek je zelf een plekje voor je jas. Aan tafel is de service ver te zoeken. Mogen we bestellen? We informeren naar kaas als tussengang en daar wordt op terug gekomen, maar zonder overleg krijgen we het nagerecht geserveerd............. Het uitserveren van de gerechten duurt erg lang en er is geen belangstelling voor nieuwe gasten. Bij het vertrek is er geen bediening die je bedankt en je nog een fijne avond wenst. De koks doen hun werk prima, maar de bediening mag wel op cursus gastvrijheid.

Nice place, somewhat cavernously decorated, atmosphere was good and the food was also fine/delicious. But I missed something, I can't put it into words.

Food good, despite extensive wine and dinner, a glass of tap water was definitely not served. A bottle of flat, yes, but we didn't fancy this besides our food and matching wines. Extremely not hospitable as guests for sec. ask for a glass of tap water. Absolute no go and very unfortunate..

Upon entering it all felt a bit clumsy, we were welcomed but not shown where we could hang the coats, the lady also walked away in between, which was a bit uncomfortable. It was very cold inside, a turtleneck with a cardigan would not have been an unnecessary luxury! We were quickly provided with a drink and the menu, unfortunately we had to wait almost an hour before our starter was served. This was the charcuterie board and a soup that shouldn't have taken that long anyway. The charcuterie board (4 people) was tasty but a bit on the meager side in terms of quantity. The main courses were served quickly. The taste/quality was okay, but no more than that. The dessert was a disappointment, the variety of different dishes probably all came from the Hanos, had no connection with each other and was simply not tasty. For 11 euros I expected more. The caramel sauce on the pana cotta was sickly sweet and therefore the (very minimal amount) of pana cotta was simply not tasty. This also tasted like ready-made junk. Too bad, I expected more after reading positive reviews.

We missed the Italian touch. Or.....was it the fact that you were forced to slow down due to the very long waiting time between the courses? We deliberately did not go for the common pizza's and pastas but did choose the surprise menu. It was really good but we could not find what made it 'Italian'. Staff was very friendly but, as said above, very long waiting times while it wasn't very crowded.

Prima ambiance, gastvrij, heerlijke gerechten, mooie wijnkaart!

Mooi restaurant, zeer goed opgeleid personeel. Wij zijn vleesliefhebbers en komen zeker een keer terug. Ook de (witte droge) wijn smaakte ons goed! Bedankt voor een geslaagde avond!

Heerlijk eten, goeie sfeer maar wat een wachttijd voordat het eten geserveerd werd. Met kinderen erbij is dit best lastig.

Heerlijk gegeten en leuke acomadatie

Op aanraden van vrienden hebben we een diner voor onze vriendegroep, 10 personen bij Da Claudio gepland. Over het eten, de entourage heb ik niets dan lof. Wij kwamen wat later dan de rest van de groep. Voor ons geen welkom, jassen worden niet aangenomen we moesten zelf ons plekje zoeken. Dat viel mij echt tegen. Voor een restaurant in deze prijsklasse had ik wat anders verwacht. De bediening doet haar/zijn best, echter een vraag als; “moet hier iemand nog wat te drinken hebben”, vind ik echt niet gepast. Kortom wat betreft service, klantvriendelijkheid, gastvrijheid en etiquette heeft Da Claudio nog veel te leren.

Echt heel fijn Italiaans restaurant.

Het eten is verrukkelijk. Maar het personeel is echt hopeloos. We moeten naar de bar lopen om gezien te worden. Het bonnetje van het hoofdgerecht is blijkbaar niet doorgekomen bij de keuken. Na melding wordt het wel opgelost maar het excuus blijft uit en het is nog serieus lang wachten. De cappuccino aan het eind is geen cappuccino maar een overdosis Melvin een koffie verkeerd. We hebben hier vaak anders meegemaakt maar deze avond heeft onze stemming serieus bedorven.

Wat ik naast het lekkere eten hier zo fijn vind, is dat je niet zo dicht op andere gasten zit, zoals bij veel andere restaurants. Je hebt de ruimte. Verder zijn we goed verzorgd en hebben we weer volop van ons bezoekje kunnen genieten.

We hebben heerlijk gegeten bij jullie afgelopen zondag. Kom graag nog eens terug als we in de buurt zijn. Pizza Bresoala mmmm, bietencarpaccio ook erg lekker. Maar zag nog veel meer lekkers! We konden het wel wat lastig vinden zo tussen de andere 2 restaurants met al die zwarte parasols. We komen ook niet uit de buurt en google stuurt je naar de babyspa :-).

Claudio is helaas in 2020 overleden, maar de zaak zet de traditie eervol voort. Kwaliteit en service zijn erg goed, het prijskaartje is navenant maar niet overdreven. De ruimte is vrij groot, daardoor zit je niet overal even rustig, maar is toch wel gezellig.

Het is niet meer op het niveau van weleer. Bediening laat te wensen over. Op een uitzondering na, onbekwaam zeer jong personeel. Niemand van de leiding gezien. Voor en hoofdgerecht niet warm genoeg. Geen airconditioning of stond niet aan, veel te warm.

Lekker gezeten, gegeten en voorzien van uitstekend wijnadvies!

Wij hebben met 6 personen voor € 260 gegeten en gedronken, maar konden geen karaf kraanwater krijgen, maar alleen flessen……Wij vinden dat niet meer van de tijd

Geweldig genoten van een soort Tapasmenu. Fijn van smaak en super mals. Als pensionado's kunnen we ons niet veroorloven meerder keren per maand hier te eten. Toch is de prijs kwaliteitsverhouding uitstekend!
