Beautiful location and delicious lunch

We were invited to a birthday party. The snacks and drinks were of good quality and were served frequently and in abundance! The back room was somewhat poorly furnished compared to the larger hall, and the adjacent outdoor terrace is also in need of renovation.

On a hot afternoon, we sat comfortably in the shade by the water with my husband, baby, and toddler. My oldest could explore the garden to his heart's content, and we could keep a close eye on him. Lunch was delicious.

Don't understand the good reviews. Bad place. They don't serve lunch in the afternoon; it's not stated anywhere on the website or menu. Service is slow because they are sitting inside having a long meal at 3. Terrible, don't understand the good reviews.

My favorite (pancake) restaurant for years. A more diverse menu is served now, though. Since the expansion, it is spacious with a cozy decor. The vegetables are grown in the restaurant's own greenhouse behind it (a family tradition). There is still a pleasant outdoor terrace. Traditionally, it is understood that the hard of hearing have limited speech comprehension when the music is turned off. People asked about this, and the response was apparently such that the music was turned off. It became quieter because the audience present no longer had to shout over the music.

The steak came with only a tiny side of potatoes and vegetables. Really cheeky for the price. But the meat was tasty. Hence the 3 stars.

The food tasted good, but the portions were only child-sized; you wouldn't get full. We were a group of six and had to order four portions of fries for €6 per person to feel satisfied. The waitress spilled a glass of beer all over my food. The owner, who was standing behind me, turned around and walked away without a word. There was no attempt at compensation or an apology.

Enjoyed a delicious Easter brunch on Easter Monday. It was pleasantly busy and, of course, the weather was beautiful.

Beautiful, peaceful place. The kids had fun in the playground and with the ponies. We had a delicious meal at a reasonable price under the cherry blossoms. Highly recommended!

The food itself was good, but making even a small adjustment was easily too much trouble. The spare ribs (no rib) looked more like a pork chop than the dish. Charging a euro for an extra chocolate with the coffee actually struck me as outrageous, considering we had spent quite a bit, but oh well... I don't think we'll be going back here for dinner.

Yesterday, the restaurant turned out to be understaffed. That's beyond our control, and we understand. After a long wait, we were offered a basket of garlic bread, which we didn't receive, but which was included on the bill. The food was also a bit disappointing. That was a shame. The rump steak couldn't be cooked rare (strange) and was a bit dry, the spare ribs weren't quite right either, the grilled vegetables were covered in a layer of grease, and the toast was also soaked in grease. It would have been nice if we'd been asked if we wanted another drink now and then. By then, there were only four tables left to serve. It's a real shame, because we were so enthusiastic the first time, which is why we returned.

Limited menu and very expensive. And nothing special. We ordered salmon with spinach, but regretted it, because the spinach was canned and not warm enough. And the salmon was very thin and not cooked the way it should be. Another dish was BBQ steaks. The waitress didn't ask how we wanted them cooked, and we hadn't thought of it, because normally they are supposed to ask. So it was a disappointment. We were asked if we wanted dessert and were given the menu, but unfortunately, after waiting for half an hour, we decided to go home anyway. The atmosphere wasn't pleasant. There was too much screaming from about 10 small children. It felt like a crash. We didn't like it.

We ate delicious pancakes even though we really couldn't. We arrived outside of lunchtime with rumbling stomachs. A nice blond boy had arranged that for us. So our sister-in-law's day ended well after all. We'll be back sooner next year.

We wilden even gezellig een kop koffie met gebak. De ontvangst was zakelijk en ook bij het bedienen werd het gebak nog net niet neergesmeten voor ons. Als ik koffie met gebak bestel wil ik het voor 16 euro ook graag gelijk krijgen en het gebak hoeft er voor die prijs niet uit te zien als een uitgespuugde taart. Betalen kan alleen binnen en of jij dan als gast even je tafel wil noemen. (Niet mijn taak) Ging er met een kater weg en zal er niet nogmaals naartoe gaan. Kleine en zeer beperkte kaart, slechte bediening en wat ze serveren is niet in verhouding met wat je krijgt

The six of us had a delicious lunch; we each ordered something different. Our plates were filled with crispy bread, generously filled with fresh ingredients in a delicious flavor combination! We all enjoyed it. We sat outside with a beautiful view of the lake. They also have a children's playground and a trendy spot for drinks in the orchard. We'd love to come back; it's also highly recommended because the surrounding area is wonderful for cycling and hiking, and there are plenty of parking spots!

Nice surroundings, but you'd better give this place a wide berth. One person with a soy allergy was there, so I informed them beforehand, and then they said on the spot: "No, we cook everything in soy. I need to discuss what you can eat here." Appetizer and main course were okay, dessert was burnt. I would limit myself to a glass of wine here. The service was slow and the explanations were unclear, even when the restaurant was only a quarter full. Finally, it was much more expensive than others here indicated.

Location is great. Lunch pancake was disappointing. In connection with the bad (not) resolved complaint by the service this mediocre review. Pancake chicken, was more of a mayonnaise/greasy pancake. Was the worst/greasy pancake (no understatement) ever -not- eaten Too bad.

Deze plek is een prachtige plek. Je kunt gezellig met je hele familie aan een lange tafel zitten. Voor kinderen heerlijk om te spelen. Je zit buiten prachtig onder de bomen. De borrelkaart met hapjes is voortreffelijk. Heerlijke ham plateau, super lekker verzorgde nachos met rendengvlees. Mooi mager zonder vet. De bitterballen zijn heerlijk en goed van smaak. De bediening is zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Bij de drukte van moederdag was de regie van het bedienen goed strak geregeld. Iedereen werd vlot en adequaat geholpen. We went here for dinner at 6:15 PM and only received the menu after 25 minutes. When we finally ordered we had to wait another 1.5 hours for the food. The bacon on my burger was a bit burnt.

What an amazing place this is. Superbly located in a wide walking and cycling area. Restaurant has a presumptive atmosphere with lots of greenery. Service is friendly and hospitable. Menu offers enough choice. Outside there is a terrace on the water and in the sun. I'm a fan. We will come back here soon.

Once again, we had a wonderful meal with the family. With and without all the little children, we like to find Zijdewinde. Whether you want to eat alone or with the whole family, you can always go here. Extensive menu with a number of vegetarian options, there is something for everyone.

Prachtige lokatie. Slecht eten! Koffie smakeloos. Om de paar maanden kom ik er en hoop dan dat het verbeterd is, maar helaas is het telkens slecht. Misschien ben ik kritisch of nemen de klanten genoegen met slecht eten en vieze koffie.

We gingen naar de film (Pathé )en wilde van te voren wat eten. Dus lag op de route. Nog nooit daar geweest, maar het was fantastisch. Heerlijk gegeten en ontzettend vriendelijke bediening. Een echte aanrader. O ja, ook ruime parkeergelegenheid.

A very attractive place on the dike. Easily accessible by bicycle or car. Very spacious inside, yet attractively designed. The menu may be a bit limited for some, but for us it was sufficient choice. Multiple options for both meat and vegetarian. It's also affordable.

Had dinner with the grandchildren last Sunday, always a party. Despite the crowds, always friendly and service-oriented. The regular guy who receives the guests deserves an extra compliment. Oversees everything, nothing escapes him. All in all it was a pleasure to be there as a guest.

Op aanraden van vriend hier naar toe gegaan om te lunchen. Nou dat is zeker de moeite waard. We konden het wat lastig vinden aangezien ze aan de dijk bezig zijn. Maar door een belletje advies gekregenen op die manier er ook gekomen. We wilde graag lunchen, maar officieel is dat tot 15 uur. En aangezien we door het zoeken om er te komen wat tijd waren verloren. Was het personeel zo vriendelijk om ons toch van de lunchkaart te laten bestellen. Super lief en oh wat was dat lekker. Een smaak explosie in de mond van smaken. We waren blij dat we dit mochten mee maken en van genieten. Aller aardigst personeel, Zijdewinde is hele leuke zaak, met ook een mooie buiten, en serre. Wij vonden het buiten wat fris, maar zeker de moeite waard om terug te komen in voorjaar/ zomer. Er is ook een leuke wandeling te doen vanaf Zijdewinde. Dat gaan we ook nog zeker doen.
