My wife and I went out to De Beren. The advance reservation was quickly arranged. The intranet was good, and we were escorted to our seats. Drinks were quickly ordered, and we also immediately ordered a sandwich with spreads. It took a while before it was served, and then we had to wait even longer for our order to be taken. The serving time was long, actually too long. During our meal, the temperature in the restaurant gradually decreased, and it even got colder. When we commented on this to the waitstaff, they told us they had to wait because it was so busy. We noticed that things weren't going smoothly. When we tried to order dessert, it turned out it wasn't in stock because it hadn't been delivered to De Beren. That's possible, but all in all, the evening didn't quite go as expected. So we ordered a different dessert and an extra drink to warm things up a bit. Although the dishes were delicious, the overall experience was a bit disappointing. We headed home, feeling a bit cold, to a nice, warm place.

After 1.5 hours, still no main course. The staff collects empty glasses but doesn't ask if you want another drink. Empty plates remain on the table for a very long time.

After waiting an hour, I finally received the menu. The new Christmas menu was €13 more expensive, half of which was taken off. After half the table had already finished their appetizers, the other half didn't receive theirs. We had to wait a very long time for the dishes. The portions were very small, some dishes lacked flavor, and there was no salt, spices, or sauce whatsoever. Orders were taken incorrectly, and many dishes were out of stock. Very sloppy!

Things aren't going well; they're trying to be a restaurant these days. Price-wise, they're right 😞 The service is usually okay, but they're trying to fix the mistakes. Often the food is wrong, cold, and not served promptly. It's always something. Last time, they even ran out of rum, which I find quite impressive. It's a real shame, and it's not unique to this beer. I used to enjoy going there, but it's becoming less and less enjoyable.

The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was cozy and Christmas-themed. Our server was very friendly. Her colleague didn't appreciate her as much because she criticized her to us?! We would definitely come back🥰.

A very atmospheric restaurant decorated for Christmas. We were served a delicious and excellent 4-course meal. The portions were more than sufficient. The hospitality and friendliness of the staff were outstanding. The restaurant is definitely recommended and we will definitely return. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the dishes. The staff was very professional and attentive.

Dear Beren Zwijndrecht team! You've given a nice response to my review, but why do they promise to contact me, but they don't? Even when I call, they say they'll call back! Unfortunately, that doesn't happen either. 😭 Only promise things you can deliver! The food is very greasy! The fries are refried several times. If you want diarrhea, eat here! I can guarantee you'll get it! We all had stomach problems after our meals. Filing a complaint is pointless. Nothing is done about it. I'll never go back!

When booking, I asked if they had a quiet spot available since my girlfriend was post-COVID. They were very accommodating and went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The service was very friendly! And the price-quality ratio is excellent, definitely recommended.

We thought the food was excellent. There's also a play area for younger children. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Even though it was busy, you couldn't tell. The atmosphere among the staff and in the restaurant was pleasant. We highly recommend it.

We had a wonderful evening, delicious food and fantastic service. At 6:00 PM, we decided to dine there with 12 people, and they had plenty of room in a nearly private area. I recently used the social deal with my work. It was super fun and delicious. The food was a lot! They gave us good advice to order fewer fries. We saw the menu with delicious cocktails and mocktails back then. So, last Saturday, we spontaneously went to De Beren again. They had a blast and said they'd like to do this every Saturday night 😀. A huge success! We'll be heading to Beekse Bergen soon with our gift of the Beren socks 😉!

Great restaurant. I was amazed by the staff. It's often a bit short, but here we received a friendly and hospitable welcome. Our daughter received a coloring page and pencils. When ordering, we were asked if our daughter's food could come first. There was a lot of interaction with our daughter. After enjoying an ice cream in a bear cup, a staff member came over with genuine interest to ask if she could rinse the cup so we could put it clean in our bags. After paying the bill, the woman was surprised that we left a tip and thanked us. The food was good, the restaurant was clean and modern, but the overall experience was truly fantastic.

Heerlijk gegeten. Lekkere gerechtjes en ben totaal verrast door de kwaliteit en de gerechten. Was namelijk lang geleden dat ik er geweest was. Kwaliteit was erg goed en de gerechtjes waren erg lekker en verrassend.

The food was good. Prices are rising enormously everywhere, so here too, but charging €5 for a coke or a beer seems absurd to me.

The food was delicious and the service was excellent and friendly. The three of us had a wonderful meal, and it deserves a compliment. I really enjoyed the Tournedos, and that alone deserved a solid 10. The only downside is that for two people, you only get one small bowl of fries, even though it says you get free fries with every main course. Otherwise, it's just good and enjoyable.

I had chicken satay with peanut sauce, and the peanut sauce was literally jelly. I ate it and woke up the next day (night) puking. I still think it was the chemical jelly. Because of the bears, I couldn't go to Roxy Dekker's!!!!

What a beautiful restaurant inside! From the outside, you wouldn't expect it to be that way. As soon as you walk in, it's literally a surprise how spacious and inviting it is. The decor, lighting, and details are beautiful. The music is definitely not bad. My daughter and I were able to sing along to everything from the 70s to the 00s. The staff was super friendly, and also to my daughter. We will definitely be back.

Definitely worth repeating as so often

A really lovely and beautiful establishment, especially if you enjoy a beautiful view while dining al fresco. Delicious, affordable food, unlimited on some evenings (they come by before it runs out to replenish it), free parking, close to the A16 exit, and delicious desserts!

When I eat at the bears it is always satay because it is always the same good quality. For the first time I had fries with truffle. 👍 downside is playing children who were running through the store.

We had a nice meal here on a Monday. The reception was very friendly, even though we were much too early compared to our reservation. We were allowed to choose a nice spot on the terrace ourselves. The price-quality ratio is fine here. All the staff was very helpful and friendly.

The food itself was fine. I had the pork tenderloin with mushroom truffle sauce. Only there was very little sauce. The pork tenderloin itself was tasty. My sister doesn't like mayo so asked for ketchup. 3x... never had it.. Also her dessert had no sauce there should have been caramel sauce and chocolate sauce. But none. Very strange. A bit rushed. Staff is friendly but forgets a lot. Also had something from another table twice, sloppy and my partner's main course he got 2x haha ​​uhhh not ordered 2x of course 🙈 Very unfortunate.

Voor de 60 jarige verjaardag van mn broer met zijn en mijn kinderen en kleinkinderen gaan eten. Eten was redelijk maar bediening chaotisch. Diverse hadden t menu waarin ijs is berekend. Afrekenen verliep chaotisch omdat we t in 2 wilde splitsen...er stonden zoveel producten op...thuis kwam ik erachter dat er 20 euro teveel was berekend. Direct gebeld en ik kreeg gelijk...nu wonen wij niet in Zwijndrecht ( waren erheen gegaan omdat er een speelgelegenheid was voor de kleinkinderen) Er is geen enkele mogelijkheid dat t wordt overgemaakt ( tikkie, overboeking) dus moet speciaal naar Zwijndrecht. Zure nasmaak door deze slechte service...

Very nice restaurant. Very friendly and hospitable staff. The food was delicious and nice portions, not too much and certainly not too little for a nice price. Decoration of the restaurant is typical of De Beren, but in my opinion one of the nicest.

When the main course was served, a side dish was missing. After inquiring about this twice and having to wait a long time, almost all the food was already gone, we inquired a 3rd time and then we heard the words of the waitress/hostess "don't you want to use such a tone towards me", while we did nothing strange except indicate again that we had been waiting for a portion of fries for quite some time. One portion of fries takes maybe 5 minutes and not 20. The rude tone of the waitress/hostess was seriously inappropriate and the reason for us never to come here again. This lady is clearly not suitable for the catering industry. Or a customer service course would certainly not be out of place for her.

Nice tent. Crowded on a Saturday evening. The wait for the food took just over 45 minutes. That could be significantly better. With younger children this took far too long. The staff shortage was obvious. The waitresses did their best, they flew from here to here. The food itself was good in taste. However, everything arrived at the table lukewarm. Summary of fries; 3 bowls for 9 people. Too few. Also 3 cups of mayonnaise for 9 people, disastrous. We asked for extra, which would be provided, but in the end it was not provided. We didn't see the waitresses anymore, they were very busy. Message for management: Hire extra people for overcrowded evenings such as Saturdays. We will visit this location again in the future, hopefully things will be better.

We recently had dinner here with a group (12 people). Parking was a problem, we had to park the cars a bit further away. The atmosphere inside is very cozy, but everything was crammed together. I sat very close to other people's tables. We as a group also had very little space. It also proved difficult to serve 12 people at the same time. It took a lot of time before everyone had his/her food. And what I found very annoying: the food was cold. Very unfortunate, but I think the staff is simply understaffed. I also thought it was very expensive for what you got. We paid 54 euros per person (!) Personally, not recommended for me and I wouldn't go here again anytime soon.

Went to this restaurant yesterday and we wanted to take advantage of the unlimited spare ribs offer that is back. Management indicates that this is over and they will no longer participate. Even after showing the website, with the Zwijndrecht location in the participating branches, they refused to cooperate.

Today we ate with the bears in Zwijndrecht. Food was just good again. Only the service was really bad today. De Beren has an online promotion with unknown spare ribs. So we wanted to order spare ribs with 3 people. We said that that was not possible and that the promotion had not yet taken effect. Then we could just order spare ribs from the menu. All very strange. After this it went even further. We wanted to pay and had used the Kruidvat promotion twice. We wanted to use a gift card for this. It was said that it cannot be done because there is no action about action. But in my opinion, a gift card is not a promotional product but a means of payment. So we indicated that we cannot split the bill and separate the Kruidvat with the separate dishes. None of this was possible because everything was on a table. Staff showed no empathy whatsoever. Decided to go to another branch next time.

Been for the first time, received from my dear neighbor for the birthdays of my husband and myself respectively. January 1 and 17. We really enjoyed it, a cozy restaurant, delicious food and great service. What else could you wish for? We will definitely go back.

Great food, dishes could be a little warmer. Entrance has become a bit messy because the kitchen is now in front of the entrance.

We read bad reviews about you, especially around Christmas, but luckily we couldn't agree with this at all. The service was smooth and friendly. The chefs prepared the dishes well, it was served hot and was tasty. We will definitely come back again with family and/or friends.

Delicious food. A damper on the bill. A small salad, which is on the menu for €2, is quoted for €7.50 with dry eyes. Protesting didn't help. This is really blown out of proportion. A mini bowl with some greenery, a tomato and some croutons for that amount is nice. There were three of us. That is € 16.50 more than expected. This was of course at the expense of the tip.
