We ate at De Beren Zwijndrecht for the second time in a short period. We had a wonderful evening; the service was truly fantastic!!! It was outstanding last time too, the food was delicious, and we didn't have to wait long before it was served. The desserts were also very tasty and truly works of art. A big thumbs up to you girls at De Beren Zwijndrecht!!! We will definitely be back. P.S. the socks are wonderfully soft and comfy 😁

We had a delicious meal with my wife. We had the Satember menu, which was excellent. Very nice setting and the service was super friendly. Compliments, we will definitely be back.

We went out for dinner with friends using the Albert Heijn voucher and it was really delicious. What was new to us were the fries with Parmesan cheese and truffle mayonnaise. There was a surcharge for this, but we didn't mind and it was delicious. Friendly staff and not too busy on Friday evening.

Best De Beren so far. Beautiful interior and very friendly staff, which you certainly don't get at other De Berens.

I had a grilled hamburger. I ordered a side of vegetables. The hamburger was tasty, but for 5 euros, the portion of vegetables was really very small. That really needs to change.

My children and I can truly only be positive about our experience last night. Despite (in my opinion) being understaffed, namely by 2 people, they were incredibly friendly and attentive. The food was good. Spareribs tender, fries and chicken crispy! Just as it should be. The atmosphere was good not only because of the 2 amazing staff, but the decor is also very stylish and modern. We had a delicious meal tonight. We had generous portions of tasty food, including carpaccio, rib fingers, spicy chicken, satay, dame blanche, and for the children, tomato soup, a burger, and churros. Service with a smile, fast, and 100% to our liking. And we could order extra fries at no additional cost.

From the outside, you think, "Where on earth have I ended up and is my car still there?" but inside it's a different story. A cozy and chic place. Very good, polite, and attentive service. The food is more than fine. There is also a climbing/play area for the children.

Terrible service. We arrived at a quarter past 6, sat down, and then waited until 10 to 8 before we finally got our food. In between, we only had the opportunity to order drinks twice, and the table wasn't cleared unless we asked for it. Final conclusion: I have never been so disappointed with food for which you pay a lot.

On June 14th, my grandmother invited us, all eight of us, to have dinner at De Beren in Zwijndrecht. We chose to go for the 3-course dinner, including the kids. Nice and luxurious… unfortunately, the pork tenderloin I ordered was a real disappointment. I literally couldn't get through it; it was as tough as a shoe sole. I spoke to the staff immediately, and they offered to have a new one made, but because the kitchen was busy, it would take 20 minutes. I told them I didn't want it and that they should just do something about the bill. My father and husband had ordered a mixed grill – pork belly was sold out, so it wasn't included. My daughter chose salmon on toast as a starter – this was also sold out, and as a result, she didn't get a starter, which was also on the bill. For dessert, I ordered coffee with a treat. This was supposed to consist of a brownie, a blondie, and a chocolate bonbon. She came to say that the bonbon was sold out, but she would replace it with something else tasty. This turned out to be a tough frozen donut (one of those mini ducks cut in half), and the blondie was missing too. Then we received the bill, nearly €400, and everything had simply been charged. Including the pork tenderloin, even though it had been agreed to remove it from the bill afterwards. By then, the person who served us had left, and this girl went to ask her boss what she could do. She came back and said that she had deducted one bread board at €4.50, so the pork tenderloin had been charged fully. Scandalous; if you can't deliver, fine, but come up with an alternative, and if something is overcooked and dry, make sure it takes priority if you want to replace it. So, never again De Beren in Zwijndrecht for us!!!!

Normally we go to Barendrecht, but it has been closed for some time. The service was very friendly, but everything took an incredibly long time and the food was lukewarm. It wasn't very busy, so why it took so long is a mystery to me. In any case, we won't be going to De Beren in Zwijndrecht anymore.

No matter which Beren restaurant you visit, the food is as it should be; the only downside is parking at the location. If it is full under the overpass, you have to walk quite a distance.

We had a delicious meal with my son, his choice, because he loves the bears.

We chose the unlimited satay menu. Delicious satay. Fries are included. If you want sweet potato fries, a fried egg, or mushrooms, that is extra. We took 1 extra skewer and that is really enough. The coffee was generous and the lemon cheesecake for dessert was delicious. Compliments to the waitresses. Especially Siwani, what a star. Super👏👏

It was very enjoyable, the staff were very nice, and it was well organized for the birthday, and it was nice that they sang along too.

We visited De Beren with our 1.5-year-old son and had a very pleasant experience. Upon arrival, we asked for a quieter corner with a high chair so that other guests would be disturbed as little as possible if he made some noise. This was arranged without any problems, which we really appreciated. Additionally, the staff was incredibly friendly and genuinely paid attention to our little boy. He was given colored pencils to draw with and was completely impressed by them – a nice and child-friendly touch. We came mainly for the unlimited spare ribs (which we had missed for a while), and they certainly did not disappoint. They were delicious and highly recommended. The only minor downside was that we sometimes had to wait a bit longer before we could order a new round. But otherwise, everything was fine, and we had a lovely evening.

De Beren Zwijndrecht is a very cozy and tastefully decorated restaurant. The service was extremely friendly and enthusiastic.

Yesterday, I tried to dine with a Kruidvat voucher, using one voucher and an extra person. At the table, I explained that I had a reservation through Deberen/Kruidvat, because I was offered a general menu. An annoying argument ensued, and I felt insulted. I wouldn't have made a reservation for this! In hindsight, there may have been a mistake somewhere (through the registration system, or I clicked through to a different page after searching for the requested code). However, I had brought the voucher, as stated on various websites, and it was available. There was also space available at the time of the reservation the day before, and there were clearly plenty of tables available on this Wednesday evening. However, the staff was unforgiving. They claimed I hadn't booked with the voucher. So, still untrue! In short, I was simply labeled a liar, and that was it!

Our evening was completely made by the service. What wonderful energy and hospitality. The food was also really fresh and of good quality. The little note with the bill really added a personal touch. Truly excellent. My only criticism: the 200ml bottle of prosecco was really not good quality. It was barely carbonated and quite expensive for this inferior quality.

We regularly eat at De Beren in Zwijndrecht, including on Christmas Day. It was excellent again! Despite being busy, we didn't have to wait too long for our food. The waitresses worked incredibly hard. The food was also delicious!

My wife and I went out to De Beren. The advance reservation was quickly arranged. The intranet was good, and we were escorted to our seats. Drinks were quickly ordered, and we also immediately ordered a sandwich with spreads. It took a while before it was served, and then we had to wait even longer for our order to be taken. The serving time took a long time, too long, in fact. During our meal, the temperature in the restaurant gradually decreased, and it even got colder. When we commented on this to the waitstaff, they told us they were feeling warm because of the crowd. We noticed that things weren't going smoothly. When we tried to order dessert, it turned out they weren't in stock because it hadn't been delivered to De Beren. That's possible, but all in all, the evening didn't quite go as expected. So we ordered a different dessert and an extra drink to warm things up a bit. Although the dishes were delicious, the overall experience was somewhat disappointing. We headed home, feeling a bit cold, to a nice, warm place.

After 1.5 hours, still no main course. The staff collects empty glasses but doesn't ask if you want another drink. Empty plates remain on the table for a very long time.

After waiting an hour, I finally received the menu. The new Christmas menu was €13 more expensive, half of which was taken off. After half the table had already finished their appetizers, the other half didn't receive theirs. We had to wait a very long time for the dishes. The portions were very small, some dishes lacked flavor, and there was no salt, spices, or sauce whatsoever. Orders were taken incorrectly, and many dishes were out of stock. Very sloppy!

Things aren't going well; they're trying to be a restaurant these days. Price-wise, they're right 😞 The service is usually okay, but they're trying to fix the mistakes. Often the food is wrong, cold, and not served promptly. It's always something. Last time, they even ran out of rum, which I find quite impressive. It's a real shame, and it's not unique to this beer. I used to enjoy going there, but it's becoming less and less enjoyable.

The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was cozy and Christmas-themed. Our server was very friendly. Her colleague didn't appreciate her as much because she criticized her to us?! We would definitely come back🥰.

A very atmospheric restaurant decorated for Christmas. We were served a delicious and excellent 4-course meal. The portions were more than sufficient. The hospitality and friendliness of the staff were outstanding. The restaurant is definitely recommended and we will definitely return. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the dishes. The staff was very professional and attentive.

Dear Beren Zwijndrecht team! You've given a nice response to my review, but why do they promise to contact me, but they don't? Even when I call, they say they'll call back! Unfortunately, that doesn't happen either. 😭 Only promise things you can deliver! The food is very greasy! The fries are refried several times. If you want diarrhea, eat here! I can guarantee you'll get it! We all had stomach problems after our meals. Filing a complaint is pointless. Nothing is done about it. I'll never go back!

When booking, I asked if they had a quiet spot available since my girlfriend was post-COVID. They were very accommodating and went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The service was very friendly! And the price-quality ratio is excellent, definitely recommended.

We thought the food was excellent. There's also a play area for younger children. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Even though it was busy, you couldn't tell. The atmosphere among the staff and in the restaurant was pleasant. We highly recommend it.

We had a wonderful evening, delicious food and fantastic service. At 6:00 PM, we decided to dine there with 12 people, and they had plenty of room in a nearly private area. The dog was also welcome and had a lovely spot. We arrived at 7:30 PM, no matter how late it was. The staff were almost all gone, but they were very attentive and friendly. It was a fantastic place.

I recently used the social deal with my work. It was super fun and delicious. The food was a lot! They gave us good advice to order fewer fries. We saw the menu with delicious cocktails and mocktails back then. So, last Saturday, we spontaneously went to De Beren again. They had a blast and said they'd like to do this every Saturday night 😀. A huge success! We'll be heading to Beekse Bergen soon with our gift of the Beren socks 😉!

Great restaurant. I was amazed by the staff. It's often a bit short, but here we received a friendly and hospitable welcome. Our daughter received a coloring page and pencils. When ordering, we were asked if our daughter's food could come first. There was a lot of interaction with our daughter. After enjoying an ice cream in a bear cup, a staff member came over with genuine interest to ask if she could rinse the cup so we could put it clean in our bags. After paying the bill, the woman was surprised that we left a tip and thanked us. The food was good, the restaurant was clean and modern, but the overall experience was truly fantastic.

Delivery guy ordered two satays and thick fries. It arrived right on time and still piping hot. The delivery driver was very friendly. Highly recommended. I'll order again next week.
