You can order a viandel all over the world. You come here, you ask for a viandel. The woman behind the counter stands there looking at you as if she's seen a ghost. Final result… stuck with 2 dry chicken corn dogs and a tub of curry.

Regardless of which branch – because the service is polite and they are fine little places – I have to admit that I find the food really disappointing. It must be me; Verhagen is popular, after all. Unfortunately, it is not my taste, from the burger to the fries.

I found the hygiene to be much worse than it should be. One of the staff members keeps touching his hair and adjusting his nose piercing with his little finger. I don't think that's very hygienic for people handling food.

The fries in the baskets and bags were not good. Lots of hard pieces of fries. They used to be much better on the plates.

The food here is always very good; I have never been disappointed. The team is very friendly. It is just a pity that sometimes they don't come to the table when you are finished eating, and I have to ask them myself. But that has never been a problem. This Verhagen is so much better than the one in Kort Ambacht.

We had ordered fries and chicken nuggets. When it arrived, Dennis handed us the fries and chicken nuggets. He asked if we wanted a napkin, and then someone spat in our food (probably not on purpose, but not very hygienic). But overall, the food was tasty and the atmosphere was okay.

It took quite a long time before someone came, especially when there was hardly anyone sitting there. But otherwise fine.

During a visit to the terrace, I went inside after 10 minutes to order. The order arrived about 10 minutes later with a dirty beer glass. Had to wait another 5 minutes for a clean glass. A table next to us is being partially cleaned. The young lady leaves the full ashtray behind. Looking around, the other empty tables are also dirty with full ashtrays. In short: Verhage has a terrace, but the service and hygiene are substandard.

I ate there with a friend; it was very busy. During our visit, there was a family who were very rude and difficult; the young waitress couldn't do anything right. But the team took over collectively and resolved everything very professionally! Compliments to such a young team!

Bizarre, placed an order via Thuisbezorgd, burger was upside down, everything fell off. Loaded fries empty in my bag and the spring roll had fallen before they put it in the bag. Never order from here!

Ordered online, but what I received is simply unacceptable. Cold burger, cold fries with a few sliced ​​pieces of chicken. An exploded spring roll, broken cheese soufflés; my loaded fries were at the bottom of my bag, it looked like the whole bag had been used as a football. One thing is certain: Verhage doesn't win.

Last Sunday, I picked up fries from Verhage Walburg. The first thing that struck me when we arrived was the massive mess on the street: trash everywhere, the bins were overflowing, and waste was scattered all over the terrace. After entering, I ordered from a girl to whom I mentioned the amount of trash lying outside the door, to which she replied, "Oh right, that comes from the bins..." Yes, I had already noticed that. She didn't make a move to remove it either. Inside, it looked like a battlefield with dirty tables, messy chairs, and food scraps and empty bottles still sitting on several tables. There was rubbish on the floor everywhere. Really incredibly dirty and, above all, uninviting. It wasn't even busy inside. I actually regretted my order. The portions of fries were small for what you pay, by the way. The staff is nice, but slow and totally uninterested or unmotivated; among themselves, however, they are ;) Dear owners, I would literally and figuratively sweep your business clean as soon as possible!

A nice snack bar in the Walburg shopping center. Good and tasty food selection, friendly service, and a pleasant atmosphere. There's additional seating on the terrace, which, due to its location in the shopping center, is directly adjacent to the large parking lot. We always enjoy coming back!

Order for delivery: Satay menu + classic hamburger Fries fried more than twice, not tasty and not warm, satay and burger lukewarm to cold, everything covered in lukewarm/cold satay sauce. I'll spend my money somewhere else!

How difficult is it to make iced coffee? This is already the third time they forgot to make it or brought it super late. Truly terrible service. Tip for managers: teach your employees how to take orders.

Placed an order by phone (1.5 hours in advance)... and then only received the order 20 minutes later when picking it up myself.... arrived home 3 portions of mayonnaise were missing... so I called them... resolved nicely with a 'credit agreement'. Friendly employee who resolved it like that (Sven). So 4 stars instead of 1 star... a mistake can happen of course... though a bit sloppy for a 'small order' of 25 euros.

Today I ordered a large and a medium Sunday, whereupon the lady behind the counter showed me the large cup for the large Sunday, to which I replied, "I know." She poured ice into it and placed it down, to which I replied again, "It's not that bad." To me, this is more cup than ice, so unfortunately, Verhage, no more ice for me.

I had to unfortunately wait about 20 minutes just for fries....

The fries are inedible, so hard. Reheated for at least the 6th time today.

Food fine, but too busy on Saturday. Wanted to order inside, but was told it wasn't necessary and that someone would be coming. No one came, so I had to go back inside myself to order anyway. Service leaves something to be desired.

When I order from Verhage in Zwijndrecht, I always do so on Kort Ambachtlaan, but due to circumstances, I ordered in Walburg this time. The order was taken quickly and was ready right on time. But the disappointment started at home. 2 bear claws burnt black, milkshakes so thick you could almost cut them, and the peanut sauce was more paste than sauce. So, disappointing.

Great location for a quick bite with a wide selection of fried food. Prompt and friendly service, and thanks to the renovated interior, beers on tap as well, including fine Belgian beer. There is also a separate ice cream section with various flavors.

Boy with headphones walks out of the bins to eat and licks his fingers and doesn't wash his hands so they are not really hygienic there when the boss is not around

The food is still delicious, which is why I've been coming here with pleasure for about 10 years. Unfortunately, I've noticed a significant decline in service lately. Since the renovation and with the new (young) staff, you feel less valued as a regular customer. I regularly have to wait 10 to 20 minutes without anyone coming to my table. I often end up walking to the counter myself to be helped. It's also noticeable that regular acquaintances or people who know the staff get served faster, which doesn't feel right. That's a real shame, because the quality of the food is good and the restaurant has a lot of potential. I hope there will be more focus on hospitality and equal treatment of all customers.

What a disappointment, it started off well, nicely renovated, nice atmosphere. And good food. But the past six months it's been a real letdown. It was great that you no longer had to go to the counter to order! Well, believe me, you're out of sight for the first 20 minutes. And that's already four times that three girls are shuffling around with a blank stare and a towel in their hand. Wandering around and occasionally forming a group. Then you think, yes, there comes one. But no! Yesterday too, there were two tables occupied, so it was quiet. We went in full of hope, and yes, three employees were in the Makkie shop. They took a quick look and one wandered to the ice cream section and started cleaning a bit. The second put on an apron, and the third came our way. Unfortunately... she veered off towards the toilet, briefly opened the door and closed it again. And then all three conferred at the cash register. That was it... ahaaa, there come about six new customers who want to take away. And yes, we were helped right away. We so they just left. And no one noticed. Unfortunately 4 times a disappointment, will certainly happen to more customers because I hear more and more dissatisfaction left and right. Also with us wrong order and ordering something from the day's special. We don't sell that ..... And keep insisting even when another employee confirms that it is there. It was on the board left above the cash register. And then that blank look, oh I don't know. Bizarre. So not only we but several customers are getting a bit grumpy about this fuss. I often go to the cash register to pay myself. Otherwise we sit there until the early hours. If people get that angry when you walk away without paying, they'll quickly go bankrupt. Shame.

Its a nice looking establishment. The food is good, but for my personal opinion a bit on the pricy side for fries. The plates look nice and clean when served, and not really like a regular Verhage.

You can order sandwiches until 5 p.m. But the waitress said it wasn't allowed after 4:50 p.m. because the store was busy. Yes, it was definitely busy...with screaming teenagers having a good time. Nothing was happening there. STRANGE... As the boss, I wouldn't be happy.

I've been going to Verhage for years and am a satisfied customer. I picked up some takeout for the first time in Walburg, Zwijndrecht. It took ages to get my fries. It was fine, no rush. The container was pitifully small, despite being a medium portion, and mostly consisted of hard pieces. There was also no fork or napkin. If I hadn't left, I would have returned the leftover fries! Such a shame.

Unfortunately, my last visit to De Verhage was very disappointing. Shortly after eating, I experienced severe stomach pain and nausea, which eventually led to stomach flu. I normally have a strong stomach, so this was truly unusual. The food tasted a bit strange and didn't seem fresh. It's a shame, as I had higher expectations for this chain. Hopefully, something will be done about this, because health should always come first.

Horrible experience, the disjointed gang is run by a bunch of lazy teenagers. First in line you have to wait unnecessarily because they prefer to chill with a few friends in the back of the shop. Any form of human communication is missing, your order is thrown in the corner without indicating this. Simply a shame. I don't go to a snack bar with the highest expectations, but this disappoints on every level. Perhaps it would be wise to appoint a competent person to control this mess.

Excellent eatery. It was not really clear whether they would come to the table to take our order and it took quite a while before a waitress dared to take the step to ask if we wanted something to drink. Dishes were served together, so I got a different snack than ordered.

In the evenings it seems to become more of a hangout for young people. They are often noisy. But the food is still good. There is nothing to complain about.

Very nice cafeteria with a wide choice of menu and plenty of seating areas. The restaurant is luxuriously decorated and the service is fast and friendly. One disadvantage is that there is a lot of draft from the sliding doors when many people come in or go out.

Since the renovation, it has become a really attractive place to enjoy a tasty snack every now and then.

2 steps from the shopping mall. For a quick bite to eat, a good fried meal accompanied by a beer, the place is decorative and welcoming. Small problem, everything goes well in the service during the meal. When you arrive at the checkout, the manager throws the ticket at you without a glance, a thank you or a smile.

This afternoon we thought we would have lunch. Wanted to order at the counter but were able to sit down and order at the table. After more than 20 minutes, none of the young giggling girls had even made eye contact. They only paid attention to their phones, a lady who came in alone to use the toilet but was clearly an acquaintance and of course chatted with each other and laughed stupidly. Not that they were busy with other customers because it was quiet and the customers who were there already had food. Cozy cafeteria with nice seating areas inside and super hospitable staff. If you fancy a tasty snack or cup of coffee after shopping, this is the place to be. Toilets available. There is also an outdoor terrace.
