Verhage in Wijk 01 Walburg

You can order sandwiches until 5 p.m. But the waitress said it wasn't allowed after 4:50 p.m. because the store was busy. Yes, it was definitely busy...with screaming teenagers having a good time. Nothing was happening there. STRANGE... As the boss, I wouldn't be happy.

The chicken satay was raw. The order was incomplete. The phone wasn't answered. Great again.

The food is fine, but unfortunately, the experience is completely ruined by the fruit flies that constantly fly around. This has been going on for months and nothing is being done about it. It's a real shame, because it makes dining out so much less enjoyable.

It's busy every Saturday night, and there's always a shortage of staff. Delivery takes forever. Just make sure there are enough delivery drivers.

I've been going to Verhage for years and am a satisfied customer. I picked up some takeout for the first time in Walburg, Zwijndrecht. It took ages to get my fries. It was fine, no rush. The container was pitifully small, despite being a medium portion, and mostly consisted of hard pieces. There was also no fork or napkin. If I hadn't left, I would have returned the leftover fries! Such a shame.

Unfortunately, my last visit to De Verhage was very disappointing. Shortly after eating, I experienced severe stomach pain and nausea, which eventually led to stomach flu. I normally have a strong stomach, so this was truly unusual. The food tasted a bit strange and didn't seem fresh. It's a shame, as I had higher expectations for this chain. Hopefully, something will be done about this, because health should always come first.

We had a delicious meal. And excellent service.

The food was decent. The service was mediocre. The atmosphere was good.

Horrible experience, the disjointed gang is run by a bunch of lazy teenagers. First in line you have to wait unnecessarily because they prefer to chill with a few friends in the back of the shop. Any form of human communication is missing, your order is thrown in the corner without indicating this. Simply a shame. I don't go to a snack bar with the highest expectations, but this disappoints on every level. Perhaps it would be wise to appoint a competent person to control this mess.

I've been coming here for over 25 years. This is the umpteenth time that I don't find onions on the peanut sauce. It literally goes wrong 8/10 times. I also say again and again, no sauce, but I always find a lot of ketchup. Is listening really that difficult? 😮‍💨

Unfortunately, the order was not complete. Called and missing snacks were delivered. Unfortunately, the promised milkshake for the inconvenience was not included, too bad...

Neat and warm 8 oriented, good food, nice staff, dogs welcome without hassle. Great for a lunchroom or cafeteria. I really like coming there. The newspaper is also there, AD, which is perfect for me and I like to go there.

I ordered loaded fries stew today. You had to look for almost no meat in raw vegetables and there were no onions at all. And you pay €7.30 for such a small bowl. I won't get that again

Excellent eatery. It was not really clear whether they would come to the table to take our order and it took quite a while before a waitress dared to take the step to ask if we wanted something to drink. Dishes were served together, so I got a different snack than ordered.

In the evenings it seems to become more of a hangout for young people. They are often noisy. But the food is still good. There is nothing to complain about.

Very nice cafeteria with a wide choice of menu and plenty of seating areas. The restaurant is luxuriously decorated and the service is fast and friendly. One disadvantage is that there is a lot of draft from the sliding doors when many people come in or go out.

Since the renovation, it has become a really attractive place to enjoy a tasty snack every now and then.

2 steps from the shopping mall. For a quick bite to eat, a good fried meal accompanied by a beer, the place is decorative and welcoming. Small problem, everything goes well in the service during the meal. When you arrive at the checkout, the manager throws the ticket at you without a glance, a thank you or a smile.

This afternoon we thought we would have lunch. Wanted to order at the counter but were able to sit down and order at the table. After more than 20 minutes, none of the young giggling girls had even made eye contact. They only paid attention to their phones, a lady who came in alone to use the toilet but was clearly an acquaintance and of course chatted with each other and laughed stupidly. Not that they were busy with other customers because it was quiet and the customers who were there already had food. Ultimately left without food, but was given a sarcastic "have a nice day" when stepping outside. It shows once again that with any form of leadership, the youth are downright antisocial. Very nice atmosphere and nice workers, everyone was polite and the service was fast. I really enjoy to take a beer and taste the mojito alcoolvrij, best!

Very friendly staff and neat shop

Cozy cafeteria with nice seating areas inside and super hospitable staff. If you fancy a tasty snack or cup of coffee after shopping, this is the place to be. Toilets available. There is also an outdoor terrace.

Stew is Belgian, so it has a sour taste, you have to like it, not my thing, cutlery came later than the food.... I will have lunch elsewhere from now on

After waiting 20 minutes for my order and after several customers who came after me had already been served, it turned out that nothing was ready yet. I got my money back without any apology or anything like that. Shame. The place looks nice, but I am not used to such service. Not here either. But they won't see me again for a while. So I didn't even get around to eating.

A young boy works there. He ignores us all the time and is very ungrateful and rude to his guests.

4 people working, shop almost empty after waiting 20 minutes, asking how is my order going? Oh yeah sorry didn't throw it in. Do I understand with a full case but with an empty one? I was never seen there and asked for a refund.

The fries are super tasty there, but for the 2nd time 2 weeks in a row the fries are really cold. Far from lukewarm but really just cold. Snacks were warm and so was the satay sauce with the fries. Shame about my cheat meal. I haven't been here often, but this does reduce the appetite a bit. Also because I mentioned that it was cold last time

Wat een lieve en enthousiaste bediening. Hij had er echt zin in.

Best leuke tent met gezellige inrichting. Toen wij daar aankwamen wisten wij niet dat wij via QR of aan de balie moesten bestellen. Wij moesten lang wachten en personeel stond alleen rond te kijken en zeiden er niets van. Dus graag meer duidelijkheid aangeven dat je aan de balie of via QR moeten bestellen. Nadat het eten besteld is hebben wij heel erg lang moeten wachten. Meer dan 3 kwartier voor een snackbar is best heel lang! Toen het eten eindelijk bediend werd. De kipsate was lekker maar koud! En spareribs was behoorlijk zout!! Patat was smaakloos, er zat geen zout op en met potje zeezout maakte er helaas niet lekkerder van…

De crew doet zijn best voor de gasten.

Een topper in de Verhage-familie. Enthousiaste jonge mensen in de keuken en bediening, mooie inrichting van de zaak en altijd prima eten. Alles behalve een patatzaak. Aanrader!

Verhage kort ambachtlaan is veel gezelliger en betere service. De verbouwing van Walburg vestiging heeft de zaak er niet gezelliger op gemaakt.

1 minpuntje We kwamen daar voor het eerst. Jammer dat er dan niet wordt aangegeven dat je zelf moet bestellen aan de counter. Zaten zeker 5 a 10 minuten te wachten. Personeel liep er rond maar zei niets. Verder prachtige zaak en het eten was prima!

Mooi geworden,lekker ijsje gegeten

Erg leuke zaak. Recentelijk verbouwd en daardoor heeft alles een leuke, moderne uitstraling gekregen. Het bestelde eten was smaakvol en heel lekker. Bestellen met Qcode op terras werkt goed.

Geweldige zaak en vooral heerlijk eten

Hele mooie tent geworden! Maar het is en blijf een patatzaak. Je kan het leuk aankleden. Maar het is en blijf een patatzaak qua eten.

Zondag waren we op bezoek bij een vriendin en we hadden geen zin om te koken. Opties afgewogen en tot de conclusie gekomen dat het frites zou gaan worden. Op naar Verhage, bekend en dichtbij waar we waren. Het was rustig (ivm zondag, tegen sluitingstijd van de winkels) dus parkeren voor de deur geen probleem. Bij binnenkomst werden we allervriendelijkst begroet, en het duurde niet lang voor we aan de beurt waren (binnen 2 minuten). Gevraagd of de frites en snacks lekker warm mochten zijn, en de prijs voor 5 personen viel mee (wel kortingsbon gebruikt van 3 euro). Met een familieportie frites en diverse snacks liepen we binnen 10 minuten weer de deur uit, en ik moet zeggen we hebben superlekker gegeten! De zaak is gezellig ingericht, met een eetruimte, koffie- en theebar en toilet. Personeel erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam, kortom een aanrader.

Het eten is lekker! Maar het meisje met de bril en beste ring oorbellen, en de dikke knot op de kop, hoeft niet zo narig te doen richting klanten en niet om de minuut met doodsblikken te kijken zodat mensen letterlijk hun graf in vallen. Voor de rest was het leuk! Ps. Get her fired already
