Delicious food, nice atmosphere, friendly service. Everything is fresh and clean. It's great to watch the chefs prepare the food. The menu also offers plenty of options for vegetarians, and vegans are also among the choices.

At Boterkapel in Domburg we enjoyed a surprisingly delicious lunch. The Caesar salad was different than you are used to - with an original, Asian-inspired twist that worked perfectly. The flavors were balanced and the ingredients were super fresh. The burger was also excellent: juicy, well-seasoned and with a tasty bun. Everything was served quickly and friendly, with an eye for detail. The atmosphere is modern and cozy. Highly recommended if you are looking for something special in Domburg!

A very nice restaurant with excellent food. I had a poke bowl with salmon. The salmon was delicious. There's also a lovely outdoor seating area. It's definitely worth eating there.

Very nice, relaxed atmosphere, cool style. The food was very good. You have to pay a little more than at other restaurants, but here you get super delicious, real, and fresh food, not fried frozen stuff. Worth every cent!

Ate here for the second time. We were now sitting comfortably at the bar enjoying perfect dishes and delicious drinks. The staff is very relaxed, which creates a nice atmosphere. The gin Boterkapel is highly recommended ;-)

We were with family. I arrived at the appointed time with the children. My companion was a little more than 5 minutes late. We had an aperitif and each a main course. During the service, we feel that we should not hang around because they work in two services per evening. We decide to order dessert. We wait 20 minutes to receive it and 5 minutes later, the waitress asks us not to hang around and to leave the table because the next ones are waiting outside. She explains to us that it's because we were a little late. Let me tell him that we waited more than 20 minutes for the desserts. So we had to finish our meal outside with the children. Given the price of the meal and the quality of this type of restaurant, the least you can do is offer a coffee or a drink to apologize for the inconvenience. We were not the only ones in this situation. It’s a shame! Normally we go every year, but this will be the last.

Absolute recommendation: Bento Box

The food (sashimi, steak tartare and paella) was very tasty, the service was diligent and friendly, but it was far too loud for us. The music was far too loud for the many guests (the house was full). The guests had to talk/yell at the music, which was very tiring. After almost 2.5 hours we were relieved to be outside.

Seit langem unsere Top Location in Domburg. Start mit unseren Lieblingsaustern: eigentlich mögen wir die nur nature, aber die Kombi mit Ginschaum, Kaviar und einem Touch Chili ist unwiderstehlich. Neu auf der Karte ist die Crème brûlée vom Fontina, richtig lecker. Ganz toll die langsam gegarten Lammhaxen mit Cassoulet. Als Alternative wären wir immer für die Paella offen. Und als Absacker den Gin Boterkapel Style – so schließt sich der Reigen! Marijn hat ein hoch motiviertes Team in Service und Küche, die offene Küche macht Spaß zuzusehen. Sehr gute Weinauswahl. Wir kommen immer gerne wieder.

Nice atmosphere, good music, attentive service and lots of tasty dishes to choose from. So we have to go back again to try the rest. For vegans!, there are also some plant-based dishes on the menu here. Adjustments are possible, no problem.

Some restaurants know exactly how to surprise you – and Boterkapel is definitely one of them. An Asian twist, a warm atmosphere and dishes that take your taste buds on a journey. We enjoyed, among other things, a delicious bento box, filled with four perfectly matched dishes. Ideal for sharing for the less big eater. Every bite was a treat: fresh, balanced and with that little bit extra so you immediately know that there is someone in the kitchen who loves his profession. The price-quality ratio? Very well. Nice staff? For sure. You feel welcome here, and that makes the experience even better. Only small tip: the coat rack can be secured so that it does not fall over if it becomes top heavy.😉 Anyway, the photos say enough. You really have to go for the taste yourself. Recommended!

Very nice in itself, and also very tasty food. The prices are absolutely excessive. (37€ for a bento box, and 30€ for a small portion of pulled pork with sweet potato). Briefly about the portion sizes... After eating I thought to myself "Yes, it was delicious, but when is the main course coming?". The portions are kept very small. At the beginning it says “We would like to bring you some bread with dips”. Assuming that for €37 they are included in the price. NO. 8€ for a small bread with 3 dips. It was my wife's birthday that day. I asked if they had a birthday thing (ice cream or waffles. What you get in other places). "Yes, of course. With us you get a scoop of ice cream." THEY CALCULATED THE ICE CREAM. €1.75 for a small ball. Sure, it's not the world, but it's about the principle. By the way, all of this is happening outside because the people couldn't find my reservations. We sat outside at 6°, the heater wasn't very effective. All in all we paid €130 for 3 small cokes, 3 main courses, 2 breads, 1 scoop of ice cream and 1 portion of “filet bites”. The price would be great if we were full. :)

Leuk ingerichte zaak waar (schone) honden ook binnen welkom zijn. Mooi open keuken en vriendelijke bediening. Eten was erg lekker. Keus aan wijnen viel mee en gekozen fles was prima voor erbij .

Delicious food. The atmosphere inside could be a little more cozy, the light a little less bright and the music a little softer. Service is polite but nothing more. Paying in particular took a very long time, after we got the bill the waitress had a long private conversation with other customers and we were completely ignored.

Wij hebben heerlijk gegeten Wel 1 groot minpuntje onze jassen hingen over onze stoelen en door de open keuken stinken ze zo dat ze naar de stomerij moeten. Onze jassen werden ook niet aangenomen om ergens op te hangen .... beetje jammer

Ondanks het feit dat het heel druk was in het restaurant, verliep alles heel rustig. De bediening is vlot, heel vriendelijk en je ervaart absoluut geen stress bij het personeel. En natuurlijk het allerbelangrijkste : we hebben ontzettend goed gegeten . Verrassende en originele combinaties maar heel lekker . We waren dan ook heel tevreden om 2025 op deze manier in te zetten. Chapeau !

Delicious food, the Iberico with Langoustines was a hit. Staff neatly pours the wine. The dog was also welcome. We were a bit cramped, but the other tables had more space, otherwise a nice place.

Het was in voorjaar 2023 dat we hier voor het laatst waren. Toen was alles prima en dat is het nu ook nog. Op de kaart een paar vaste toppers zoals bentobox vis die we de vorige keer namen. Nu gingen we voor de oesters boterkapel style en tataki van gemarineerde rettich en berloumi. Als hoofdgerecht een steak van bloemkool en kabeljauw. Alles was smaakvol bereid en opgemaakt. Een heerlijke verdejo maakte het af. Wederom een heerlijke ervaring. Gezien de goede kwaliteit weten veel mensen de weg te vinden naar dit restaurant. Dat is eigenlijk het enige minpuntje. Het is eigenlijk overvol. Tafeltjes staan heel dicht op elkaar en er is dus weinig ruimte voor wat privacy. Dat maakt de beleving net iets minder. Ook de muziek is best hard. Maar ja, wat overblijft is een prima restaurant in de mooiste badplaats van Zeeland ;)

Wir kommen nun schon gut 5 Jahre hier essen, wenn wir in Domburg sind und wir fühlen uns immer sehr wohl. Sehr nette Bedienung, sehr leckeres Essen - einfach empfehlenswert. P.S. Pulled-Pork ist super lecker!

Eher per Zufall dort gelandet, aber sehr dynamisch, flexibel und freundlich empfangen worden. Das Essen war eine Wucht, die Atmosphäre sehr stimmig und positiv, das Personal sehr freundlich, relax und humorvoll. Falls ich noch mal in der Ecke bin, werde ich gerne ein zweites Mal dort essen gehen. Danke!

What a pleasant surprise, this cozy restaurant in Domburg. Talk about a high-quality gastronomic experience. We were tempted by a bouillabaisse with Asian shades and it was delicious. We ended with a dessert of pear, orange and chocolate on the one hand and a cheese assortment, both with a surprising taste palette. Congratulations to the kitchen brigade.

The food is prepared with love and you will not go home hungry. Friendly service. The background music was very present and the atmosphere was somewhat canteen-like.

Het eten was in 1 woord super goed en lekker. Ook mooi opgediend. Ster waardig. Alleen het was te druk en te lawaaierig. Tafels staan veel te dicht op elkaar. Het duurde te lang voordat het hoofdgerecht kwam. Ze konden geen dessert bedenken voor mijn gluten en koemelk intolerantie. Jammer genoeg. Daarom 4 sterren ipv 5. Want het eten was subliem.

Moderne Küche, köstliches Essen, dass von der Portionsgröße auf mehrere Gänge abgestellt ist. Tische leider viel zu nah aneinander.

A really great restaurant in Domburg, nice ambience and very nice and friendly service. Open kitchen where the great team creates very creative and fantastic dishes, more like works of art. There is a focus on fish and seafood, but also meat and interesting vegetarian alternatives. Great appetizers and starters but the main courses are absolutely fantastic. A super exciting fusion cuisine made from Asian, Mediterranean and European ideas. Lovely little card and really very special creations. High-quality ingredients and everything prepared to perfection. Try it out! Absolutely recommended! There are also cool drinks!

Skillful fusion cuisine at a high level, service very attentive. Atmosphere is chic but also a bit crowded and cramped.

Menu isn’t that extensive, with emphasis on Asian Fusion, but there’s enough choice to justify a return visit. Always popular so it’s a good idea to book in advance, although they do have four spots at the bar and some on the terrace for walk in guests. Kitchen is open so you can watch the preparation if that interests you. But the highlight is definitely the dishes they serve up. Truly delicious! Can recommend the brioche with crab salade and the cod with scallops. Superb. Wine is also reasonably marked up compared to purchase price. €45 for a bottle of limited release Eivi Albariño.

Had a super tasty pulled pork. The flavors are so good! Forget all the pulled pork you ate before, this one is the most special and tastiest and deserves 6 stars. Terrace is very cozy on the main street. Service fast and very friendly.

At Restaurant De Boterkapel in Domberg I had the fish bento box. The sushi was very fresh. The coconut soup was delicious although the shrimp was a little overcooked. The white fish with peanut sauce was good but also slightly overcooked. The pancake was tasty. Cool atomosphere, some patio seating. Really super cool floor.

Für uns ganz klar das beste Lokal in Domburg. In coolem, modernem Ambiente zaubert das Küchenteam schmackhafte, gesunde und sehr vielfältige Gerichte auf den Tisch. Auch der gute Service passen sehr gut zu diesem sehr guten Lokal. Falls möglich würden wir 6 Punkte geben..!

Wir waren als Paar mit Hund hier. Haben jeweils ein Sandwich gegessen und es war richtig lecker. Nette und aufmerksame Bedienung. Nettes Ambiente

De Boterkapel hat uns heute rundum zufrieden gemacht. Wir hatten Austern Nature, Tataki von mariniertem Rettich, geräucherte Burrata, Steak Tartar Asian style, einen kleinen, frischen Brotfladen und dazu einen Merlot. Herrlich! Die junge, überaus freundliche Crew rundete unser Wohlgefühl perfekt ab. Wir kommen wieder!

Da wir letztes Jahr bereits 2 mal im Boterkapel sehr gut gegessen hatten, haben wir dieses Jahr wieder reserviert und waren erneut begeistert: hier stimmt einfach alles! Wir konnten bei herrlichem Wetter draußen sitzen (drinnen ist es auch sehr schön), genossen super leckere Vor- und Hauptspeisen bei einem hervorragenden Weißwein (32 EUR !). Had a delicious lunch on the terrace! We opted for the vegetarian poke bowl and a pulled pork rendang sandwich. The pulled pork had a delicious flavor and all the individual ingredients of the poke bowl were all a feast for the taste buds. In terms of price/quality ratio, definitely recommended.

Chanced upon this place as we stopped by Domburg for lunch. Lovely place, contemporary decor with a good vibe, they catered for our son’s multiple allergies. Staff were polite and attentive. Food was fresh and tasty, especially the paella and poke bowls. Great coffee to finish the meal. Would come by again if in the area.

Meer dan fantastisch gegeten met de familie. Mijn partner en ik eten veganistisch en dat kan wel eens tegenvallen. Hier zijn we echter ontzettend blij verrast met heerlijke creatieve gerechten die allemaal verrassend en van zeer hoge kwaliteit waren. Zelden ergens zo goed gegeten en dus zeker dik vijf sterren waard!!! Daarnaast fijne mensen en een mooie zaak.

The food is good. A bit pricey, but the ingredients and preparations make up for it. The service is less good. Sat several times with empty glasses without anyone asking if we wanted more. Everything took a very long time without explanation and we were the only ones in the restaurant (it was still early). Staff also showed little initiative. We could have easily ordered a few more glasses or dishes if they had just come by and asked. So a missed opportunity.

To be honest, I was a bit disappointed after all the positive feedback here. The waiters were all super friendly and very nice. The food was rather mixed. I wouldn't eat fish there. Meat could have been quite good, I don't know. But all in all it wasn't that great in terms of taste. The only thing that was outstanding was the prices. In my opinion it is set far too high. It's a shame actually.

This modern restaurant serves modern, light and very fine dishes. It's not exactly cheap, but the price-performance ratio is absolutely right. The wine was also very good.

Very tasty and ambitious cuisine at a high level. The dishes are cleverly prepared and sufficiently large. There is attentive service, a modern atmosphere and a large selection of wines by the glass. The bottles are not cheaper in relation to the glasses, so you can confidently try different wines.
