Na een teleurstellende eetervaring elders in Appelscha, hier terecht gekomen. Niet een plek waar je toevallig langs rijdt. Staat aan het begin van een park met golfbaan Maar wat een verademing. Tot onze verbazing waren wij de eerste gasten. Waarschijnlijk heeft dit te maken met de beperkte openingstijd in de winter. Want aan het eten kan het niet liggen. Vriendelijk en net personeel. Vooraf een zalmtartaar en broodplank. Heerlijk op smaak en de laatste kan prima gedeeld worden, meer dan genoeg. Hoofdgerecht bavette en boeuf bourgiognon. Beide vol van smaak en uitstekend klaar gemaakt. Mooi opgemaakte borden, met warme groenten. Je betaalt misschien iets meer dan op andere plekken in Appelscha, maar hier krijg je eten op smaak wat het geld meer dan waard is. Een kok met verstand van zaken. Ga er zeker langs als je in de buurt bent.

Hier tijdens weekje vakantie een aantal keren gegeten (high tea, diner en borrel met uitgebreide plank met hapjes). Prima gegeten, goed verzorgt en aardig personeel. Als we in de buurt zijn, gaan we hier zeker weer eten.

It was too cold to be comfortable, everything was just not clean enough to be enjoyable and the food was nothing special. For people who also play golf, this is probably a great location for a drink and a simple snack, but for our group of 7 who had something to celebrate, it was not the best location choice.

We offered our 34 guests a Frisian buffet for the birthday of one of the hosts. And the staff has gone "loose"!!! The food was delicious, the chefs had done their utmost again. The service was as if we were family and certainly deserved our appreciation. They have done everything they can for ours to make guests feel as comfortable as possible. Finally, this evening was more than successful. We are very grateful to the Hildenberg staff for this. In the Netherlands we give a 10 for excellent, but can it also be an 11? Great place to have something to eat after golfing. A bit pricey.

What started very well ended in a big disappointment. The Amuse and the starter were fine, but while we were still working on the starter, the main course was already served. It seemed that the staff was in a hurry to get home as quickly as possible and seemed disinterested. Furthermore, long hair in the food and for dessert a mountain of sand over your food because of golf carts driving at full speed along the terrace on the sand / shell path we were back in the parking lot within an hour. We won't come here again

Tasty food, good portions. Due to crowds, we had to wait quite a long time for both an appetizer (approx. 30 minutes) and sandwiches beforehand (approx. 50 minutes). Other than that it was fine.

We were refused to eat two days in a row. First day we arrived at 20h05 and the waitress told us the kitchen closed at 20h00. Fine. We came back the following day, way before 20h, and the waitress refused to serve us once again. This time saying that we needed a reservation although the vast majority of the table were free (she did not mention the need to have a reservation the day before of course). Something is definitely wrong with this establishment.

The whole thing looks good. Wanted a window table, no problem. Before we sat down, the table was intended for a group of people. No problem, the round table in the middle was free. Very nice. The table top was not properly attached to the column base, so there was nothing you could do about a wobbly table top at that time. Then another one by the window which was okay. Ordered salmon and pork tenderloin, it looked great and was tasty, but I thought it was a bit pricey overall.

Horrible visit! Not recommendable! Apart from the outdoor area there is absolutely nothing positive to say. The food inedible. We had a schnitzel that was served completely dry without sauce and with unwashed "salad" and burnt onions. We also had a vegetarian vegetable curry that had absolutely nothing to do with curry, it tasted like frozen vegetables, with half Packet of pepper in what was supposed to be curry sauce, which neither looked like curry nor tasted anything like it. I don't even want to start with the service. We felt unwanted and disruptive! The waitress has absolutely failed in her job. We sat outside at the beginning, but had to sit inside because of a spilled cola (our mistake), as the table was only dry-cleaned and thus attracted countless wasps! Absolutely not recommended!

If I could I would give zero stars! Horrible visit! I can't say anything positive apart from the outdoor area. The schnitzel was dry, without sauce and with unwashed lettuce plus burnt onions. My vegetarian curry didn't even have anything to do with curry by any stretch of the imagination - it was a mixture of frozen vegetables with half a ton of pepper in the supposed curry sauce. I don't even want to start with the service, unfriendly and grumpy. Had the feeling of being unwanted and disruptive. We left the food after a few bites and asked for the bill. Despite our criticism and the barely touched food, the price was not met. We turned down the offer to order something else because we didn't want to endure another culinary torture! The prices were absolutely overpriced... Not recommended!!!

Delicious food BUT the menu states that fries and salad are served with our dish. We were 4 people and unfortunately received one small bowl of fries and salad. When we asked for some more fries, unfortunately the fryer was off. After all, we pay for 4× fries and salad! We asked for 2x heavy boy trippel (€5.95), these were unfortunately not available and were replaced in consultation with 2x la chouffe (€4.80). When we asked for the bill, the beers were still charged at €5.95 🤔 And then People are still surprised that we make a comment about this. Finally we got the difference in our beer back. This makes it not worth repeating!

Received old bread as a breadboard. Spare ribs dry and too much sauce on them. Steak medium instead of well done. Such a difference from when we visited this restaurant at Pentecost. Disappointing and a waste of money.

Great restaurant well worth visiting

The restaurant is quietly located on the golf course. The food was fine. The service was truly perfect. Very friendly but not fake as you sometimes see when they have just had training. We were able to take our two dogs with us; so very dog ​​friendly. And finally; we were able to charge our electric car on the spot. Fantastic. Small downside: you cannot pay with a credit card.

Ate here with four people. Upon entering the atmosphere was a bit disappointing. It wasn't very busy, so there was a small space available. The chairs really need to be replaced. They are not comfortable. Certainly not when you are a little bigger. The table was wobbly, but hey, it's about the food. The Chardonnay served was ok. The rosé too. The bread board was more than enough for 4 people, as an appetizer. A little bit of herb butter. The cod tasted great. The organic pig stew was also popular. The schnitzel was also well rated. However, I had a steak, "rare". This was too tough and a little too little red. Too bad for such a piece of meat costing over 28 euros. The knives are too blunt to cut properly. So...sharpen or buy good carving knives. People genuinely found it very annoying that I did not rate the steak as 'good' and they would take that into account for the next guest. There were few fries for four people. Of course, we could have asked for more, but they could have made that assessment themselves. The Cabernet Shiraz was average to good. All in all a pleasant evening and most guests were satisfied with the food.

To wait long. The site states that there is an arcade for children, but it was not open during dinner. Forgotten order, had to be made after 1.5 hours of waiting. Don't ask if everything is okay (they probably already knew the answer). They also do not offer drinks in the meantime. Guinea fowl was very dry.

Vijf jaar geleden hier al een keer gegeten en omdat we in Elsloo niet terecht konden voor hapje eten uitgeweken naar Appelscha. Ik vroeg of ze nog een tafel voor 3 vrij hadden om 18 uur. Of we ook een half uurtje later konden, ja hoor geen probleem. We hebben heerlijk gegeten en qua prijs ook prima. Had een heerlijke maaltijdsalade met geitenkaas, rode bietjes, gemengde sla en nog veel meer. Heel erg aan te raden. Zo eindigde een gezellige zondagmiddag verrassend in Appelscha bij De Hildenberg. Nou we komen zeker nog een keer terug.

In tegenstelling tot de negatieve ervaringen, waren die van ons alleen maar positief. Goed onthaald. Zowel het voorgerecht waren erg goed. Lekkere amuse van het huis gekregen. Goed en niet al te groot voorgerecht. Bij het hoofdgerecht ook netjes gevraagd hoe wij het vlees wilde hebben. Medium is ook goed medium. Niet tegen het rauwe aan, of schoenleer. Precies goed. Nu zijn wij geen grote eters, us als er over beide hoofdgerechten is te "klagen" valt is dat het (te) veel is. Gewoon gezellig met het personeel gesproken. Certels dat dit de eerste keer in twee jaar was dat we uit eten zijn geweest sinds Corona. Ook verteld dat dit de eerste keer weg was sinds we vorig jaar zijn getrouws. Bij de koffie vanwege ons trouwen wat extra chocolaatjes gekregen. Met twee speciaal biertjes waren wij met ons 2en nog geen €90 kwijt, wat een vrij normaal bedrag is. Aanrader!!

We had a nice meal, but at 8 o'clock, when we had finished our food, we were still one of the few people there. Now that's not a bad thing, but I would have liked a dessert or something else after dinner. When then everything is cleared away with blinders on and nothing more is offered and people walk past you. Then you are no longer comfortable there, and in my opinion not really hospitable. Although you probably won't have this problem if there are several people enjoying it. Food was good!

Nice place with good food. But make sure there are more staff! Those two girls on the terrace really run their legs out from under their bodies. That's not nice to see. Don't sit relaxed in front of the guests either. Half empty terrace but had to wait super long. Couldn't order dessert, because no one came by anymore, even after asking to order something. Also had to wait at least 15 minutes at the cash register to pay.

Well, I'm at the campsite with my family, ready for the TT. Have a nice meal the night before. We arrived and it was a bit busy. They told us that the food could take a while. But even with that in mind, everything was still disappointing. We sat down and I wasn't that hungry at the time so I didn't order an appetizer. Now the rest of it came pretty quickly, nothing to complain about. But then we had to wait for the main course. At some point we didn't even have anything to talk about anymore, it was dead silent at the table. And hehe then it finally came. Well, they hadn't even prepared the right dish for my uncle. He had asked for a T-bone steak, nice and red. But then he just got an almost overcooked rib eye. Mine was quite tasty, I must say. Well, if your family isn't having a good time, that's a shame. Hope you can do something with this.

I had the spare ribs and honestly I have never eaten them so dirty.. since my mother-in-law is paying for this dinner, I didn't want to say anything about this.. they were dry, not well marinated. The other dishes at the table were good, such as the vegetable curry, fish and steak..

Fantastic. Nice smooth operation. Price/quality ratio nicely balanced. Creative dishes. (Not the standard but e.g. smoked rib-eye carpaccio) A restaurant where you can sit comfortably. Actually no negatives. Except for one small point of attention and that is better polishing of the cutlery/glasses. But that is secondary to the delicious food. Definitely worth it
