Friendly service and tasty mustard soup.

We were there with a large group and lots of children. We sat outside, and it was very relaxed since the children were busy playing in the adjacent playground. The food was delicious, although it took a while to arrive, which was probably due to the size of our group. The prices were reasonable considering the quality, but not exactly cheap. I'd like to especially commend the incredibly friendly and attentive staff. They made us feel very comfortable.

You can sit comfortably and enjoy a delicious meal

We had a reservation for 5:00 PM, so we sat on the terrace. When I told them I had a reservation, the staff told me dinner was cancelled that day. However, I had received a confirmation email. They couldn't explain why the restaurant had made this decision without communicating it. The staff said they would contact the manager. However, this didn't happen. After insisting, they called anyway. The solution was to go to the beach house, where we could eat. However, two of us had to catch the boat, we didn't have any bikes left, and we had a baby and a child with us. In short, no option. There was no alternative, and no compensation was offered. All in all, we ordered from the snack bar. Such a shame. We often go to Klein Vaarwater, and the restaurant's location is truly fantastic. We've often enjoyed delicious meals. However, the quality is deteriorating dramatically, partly due to customer unfriendliness. Unexpected circumstances can of course arise, but how they are dealt with makes a difference.

We had a mustard soup with smoked salami slices and spring onions. The soup was very tasty. We also had the schnitzel with mushrooms, fries, and salad. Everything tasted just right. The salad dressing wasn't to our taste, but it was still good. We will definitely be back.

Great meal! Although they can leave out the pieces of newspaper under the carpaccio. I read that at home. The paper becomes like 'snot' and it doesn't make the whole thing any tastier. Service/staff is excellent!

We've been enjoying coming to Ameland for years and always stay at Klein Vaarwater. De Huyskamer is a regular, cozy spot for us, where we enjoy delicious food, good coffee, and friendly service with our family. It always feels like coming home. Unfortunately, we've had a less pleasant experience in recent visits. During our last visit, we were startled by loud shouting from the kitchen. This happened several times and was so intense that even my youngest child was startled and started crying. The staff noticed this and tried to resolve it by closing the door to the kitchen, but the shouting remained audible. A little later, we saw a woman emerge from the kitchen, talking loudly on her phone at the bar. It's a great shame, because we really appreciate the pleasant atmosphere and the hospitable staff. Moments like these take away from the relaxation and make it less appealing to return. We hope something can be done about this in the future, because we always enjoy visiting you, both before and after check-in and check-out.

If you would like to spend your money as quickly as possible, I highly recommend the Huyskamer. A bowl of appetizers with 12 pieces of meat costs €18.50 and 2 six-packs of beer costs 40 euros. The pizzas are ready-made from the supermarket and cost 16 euros each. I've used up almost all my savings. The staff is also super nice! I'm going to make a savings plan so that we can go to small waters again next year. Maybe I'll have the equity in my home paid out so I can use it all up!

Nice place to sit during less nice weather. Had Easter brunch at this location. Unfortunately it left the impression that there were not enough staff but service was friendly. Lukewarm sausage rolls with sweet cold rolls was remarkable and in two cases a sausage roll was not good and came across as sour. It was also strange that the ham/chicken/beef were on a plate and were touching each other. I believe this is normally avoided even with baked goods. The other times we dined here were moderately good in terms of food and pleasant experiences.

We enjoyed the delicious lunch deal of 12.50. A delicious meal (lunch) for little money.

Restaurant is recentelijk vernieuwd, erg leuke sfeer. Je kunt er ook gezellig een spelletje spelen op mindere dagen. Aanbod spelletjes is ruim.

Kleine dessertkaart, weinig keuze hierin. Keuze voor gebakken aardappeltjes zou fijn zijn. Fijne bediening, zeer vriendelijk

Heerlijk gegeten met een groep van 6 personen. Had zelf de burger en dat was een aanrader. Vriendelijke bediening en een rustige ongedwongen sfeer.

Sehr lecker und vor allem sehr hübsch eingerichtet. Das Personal ist recht freundlich und wie in fast jeder Lokalität sehr phlegmatisch. Deutsch ist leider aber nicht mehr die Sprache, mit der man in den Niederlanden klar kommt. Selbst hier im Park ist es nicht lückenlos vertreten. Man sollte also englisch sprechen können.

Prima restaurant, gezellige ober die zeer vriendelijk was. Heerlijk gegeten zag er goed en netjes verzorgd uit. We komen zeker nog een keer terug.

Prima restaurant met een attente en vrolijke ober. Prachtig getapte biertjes die mooi worden aangetikt. Wel erg grote glazen. Vooraf hadden we een smul plankje van 8 euro. Een meer dan prima plankje vol heerlijke hapjes. Het waren er zoveel dat ik mijn hoofdgerecht bijna niet op kon. Prima hoofdgerecht heerlijke kip, en prima patat en voldoende rauwkost in mooi bakje. De patat was wat mij betreft net iets te zout. Verder prima ingericht restaurant en sfeervolle zachte muziek. Hier komen we weer. Een hele dikke 8!
