The five of us had a delicious meal tonight, and the service was truly excellent! Everyone was satisfied; it deserves a solid 5 stars.

Lovely restaurant on the quay in Doesburg. The terrace is lovely. We were there for lunch. One drawback, in my opinion, is that you can't order anything before noon. We had a meat platter for lunch, which was like a snack. It was delicious with homemade salads. Definitely recommended if you're visiting Doesburg.

Last night we sat on the terrace with a lovely group of people; the weather was great and the location was beautiful. The menu was excellent. The starter was lightly grilled carpaccio on the green egg, the main course was a veal ribeye on the green egg, and for dessert, fried pineapple on the green egg. Highly recommended. My compliments to the chef! It was a real treat!

An excellent location for lunch. Beautiful views over the IJssel River. The "12uurtje" (12 o'clock snack) is definitely recommended.

Wachten wachten, we hebben 25 min gewacht op bediening. Lege glazen werden opgehaald verder compleet genegeerd. Erg jammer. We hebben poosje heerlijk gezeten op terras met prachtig uitzicht op de IJssel en ondergaande zon. Ons toetje en drankje hebben we helaas niet kunnen bestellen. Voortaan maar weer naar De Waag.

Unfortunately, the visit was disappointing. The meat (veal ribeye) was very dry and the beans were overcooked. For €27.50 I really expected a better price-quality ratio. Too bad, especially because I had heard good stories beforehand. The service, on the other hand, was very friendly - they deserve 5 stars in my opinion!

Restaurant with a beautiful terrace on the water. Service and kitchen are poorly organized. After waiting 1.15 hours we finally got something to eat. What was supposed to be halibut. I have never seen pink halibut, that was a piece of dried salmon. We sat inside because of the wind, unfortunately flies are constantly circling around your plate. Not to be repeated.

Arrived during a bike ride. Lovely spot with a view over the water. Sat outside behind the glass and no wind. Had a drink and a cup of soup. Too bad about the Pepsi Max, it's not cola Zero.

If you are staying in Doesburg for the first time, you ask your host where you can eat well. We were recommended restaurant 'De Kade'. This establishment is located on the IJssel. Freight ships and yachts sailed past in a serene atmosphere under a cloudless sky. That started well. We had veal pastrami as a starter. It was excellent. Full of flavour and not heavy. The daily menu mentioned plaice and as a fish lover, it was not to be sneezed at. The dessert, a strawberry cheesecake with ice cream, was exactly what you need as a third course: not too much, but special. Are you in Doesburg? Don't think any further, go to De Kade!

You get very little for a lot of money. There is also little choice when it comes to dinner. I would recommend going into the village to pick up a fork.

Genieten in goed gezelschap door professioneel gastheerschap en lekker eten. Verrassende gerechten zonder modieuze flauwekul en prima bijgerechten. Geserveerd met een mooie balans tussen persoonlijke aandacht en professionele afstand. Niet goedkoop maar hier wél kwaliteit, hier komen we graag terug.

As a last minute decision we booked in the parent hotel, resulting in having dinner in the De Kade Restaurant. What a great surprise, excellent food, friendly & professional staff and a great atmosphere. Next time I'll ask for the cookie 🍪 jar !

Deze plek is een aanrader om te dineren of even lekker voor een kopje thee of koffie met wat lekkers of een heerlijk wijntje. Een mooie locatie. We komen hier graag. Het eten is altijd goed en t personeel is heel gastvrij.

Cozy restaurant, fantastic service and always delicious food.

Ter gelegenheid van mijn verjaardag in overleg met de (goedlachse en altijd vrolijke) eigenaar een assortiment van taart, koude- en warme borrelhapjes plus dranken voor 20 personen samengesteld. Alles was tot in de puntjes goed verzorgd, de kwaliteit was uitstekend en de bediening was top. Tot slot in een kleiner gezelschap gedineerd bij restaurant de kade. De kwaliteit van het eten was uitstekend en voor een ieder wat wils. Overigens een 10+ voor de sfeer, het restaurant was leuk en gezellig aangekleed in “kerststijl”.

Zondagavond neergestreken bij 'De Kade'. Wat een mooie plek om te dineren. Fijne aangename sfeer. En zo, zal later blijken, een van de laatste restaurants waar kwaliteit en beleving op het bord, niet gearmd gaat met minimalisme, maar met riante ruime borden met lekkere gerechten (zomaar willdzwijnhaas van de green egg of op sterk aandringen een ganzenborst met aardappelsalade en zwarte knoflook) Gecombineerd met een attente en oprechte brigade, die ervoor zorgt dat het je aan niets ontbreekt, is de cirkel rond. En heb je een heerlijke fijne avond. Goed is goed, voor altijd ...... vind ik. Vooruit nog één hapje

City hotel Doesburg, located on the IJssel, is a top hotel. We had a lovely time on the terrace, with a view of the IJssel. The food is great. A surprise 4-course dinner was really great. Next time again!!

The asparagus risotto with goat cheese was delicious. Although I would like the goat to taste a bit spicier. That would have been a nice counterpart to the soft asparagus flavor. Great place, attentive service and a beautiful plate of risotto.

Delicious nachos. High prices for lunch dishes and drinks. Communication staff slightly less. Probably because of the crowds.

Eten was prima, bij drukte duurt het serveren echt fors langer (ondanks vriendelijke waarschuwing vooraf. Lunchkaart is prima wat ik vooral mis was de tonijnsalade of een keuze tot vleessoorten op brood (ham/rosbief etc). Prima eetcafe, dinerkaart zag er overigens uitstekend uit. Kom zeker nog eens terug. Schuifpui bij een vol terras open is echt een dikke prè.

The lunch with soup and 3 sandwiches is fine. The hamburger does not look like a hamburger, a piece of pressed meat that you have no idea what it is, it is also very expensive. Depending on what you take it is good to very mediocre.

Jaren hier niet geweest vanwege slechte ervaring. Nu weer eens geprobeerd en een heel goede ervaring genoten. Zeer vriendelijke bediening, smakelijke lunch en prettige ambiance. We komen snel weer terug.

Gekozen voor het 4-, gangen wild menu, waarbij we de optie hadden minder gerechten te nemen; we lieten de pompoensoep aan ons voorbij gaan. Het voorgerecht werd goed op kamertemperatuur gereserveerd, de hertenbiefstuk was heerlijk mals, de groenten beetgaar. Dessert bread pudding met ijs. Alles met zorg bereid, zeer vriendelijk personeel, jammer van de leidingen langs het plafond. De akoestiek daarentegen was prima

Geweldig gegeten! Super aardige bediening. Enige puntje van kritiek is de aankleding van de ruimte en met name het plafond met alle leidingen open en bloot. Dat kan nog wel een beetje aangekleed worden. Maar als je daar niet op let is het een geweldige zaak om te dineren.

Wij zijn teleurgesteld over de verwachtingen welk gewekt worden en wat we op ons bord kregen. Bijvoorbeeld wij hadden beef wellington besteld, en we kregen, gewoon een kogeldiefstuk (overigens prima vlees) op een bedje van aardappel met bovenop één of andere soort cracker. Dit leek op geen enkele wijze op "Beef Wellington". Als toetje geroosterde peer, met omlijsting. Nu hadden wij verwacht dat geroosterde peer , warm geserveerd zou worden, Maar nee, koude, redelijk smakeloze brokjes vrij rauwe peer, met overigens verder een smaakvolle omlijsting. Kortom onze verwachtingen van wat de menukaart beloofde kwamen helemaal niet uit. De ingredienten van het eten waren allemaal van prima kwaliteit. En dan is het best jammer dat het op deze wijze verwerkt wordt. Ook jammer was dat toen we onze bevindingen aan het bedienend personeel duidelijk maakten, we wel opemrkingen kregen ,zo van: "O, waren de peren dan niet warm", maar er verder niets mee gedaan werd. Jammer allemaal. Maar gelukkig hadden we verder toch nog best een leuke avond.

Heerlijke plek aan de IJssel, heerlijke gegeten en vriendelijke bediening. We hebben hier geluncht en kozen de Plateau de Kade, en heerlijke verzameling verschillende gerechten.

Buitengewoon leuke locatie aan de IJssel. Leuke aardige mensen. Aanrader. (Geen eten gehad, maar zag er bij anderen goed uit)

De appelgebak was prima, maar de ijskoffie was bitter en lauw. IJskoffie heet niet voor niets ijskoffie, zou je net zoveel aandacht hier aan geven als aan de appelgebak was het een prima product. Ik kan de mensen nu alleen maar aanraden neem iets anders. Verder mooie locatie, met nu helaas wat weinig schaduw

Heel fijn restaurant heerlijk eten lekker vers goed bereid zeer goede koks in de keuken. Vriendelijke medewerkers in de bediening uitstekende ligging aan de IJssel en uitstekende sfeer.

Leuk terras en vriendelijk personeel. Mijn entrecote was taai en niet medium rare. Een kannetje water ging niet. Mensen aan een andere tafel hadden wel een hele fles! Niet leuk.
