Quality ingredients, simple dishes but solid and tasty

I eat there regularly. Compared to others, it's a bit pricey considering the vegetables you get with the main courses, which are meager. But it's always delicious.

With very attentive service, it's a wonderful place to relax in a peaceful atmosphere, and not to forget... a beautiful view of the creek. Highly recommended!

Voor de eerste keer hier geweest voor een verjaardag en echt heerlijk gegeten! De bediening was ook heel vriendelijk en attent. Wij komen hier zeker terug. Fantastische kwaliteit voor een eerlijke prijs!

Great staff, nice atmosphere, and also good for larger groups. I had dinner for my birthday with about 20 friends. It went smoothly, and the food was absolutely delicious! Hats off!

Samen met mijn broer mijn ouders een onvergetelijk moment kunnen geven door hier heerlijk gebakken paling te eten. Waarom de maximale score? Omdat met zo'n klein team hier een perfect gerecht geserveerd werd waar ze best voor beloond mogen worden

Delicious food, in a casual atmosphere!

Menig maal dit restaurant bezocht om te dineren en telkens gaan we er voldaan weg. Het eten is er voortreffelijk en goed verzorgd, culinaire hoogstandjes kun je hier verwachten. De eigenaar is een prima gastheer, de bediening top en de kok uitstekend. Kom of ben je in Terneuzen en je wilt echt uit eten, gewoon 'De Kreek" doen!!

Just good, had a meal with family (25 people) at this top location. Service was fantastic, highly recommended 4 years later, I was here again with the same group. Food was ok, but has been better, price and quality are a bit out of proportion. The management can only say that they did their best, but it probably didn't work that day.

Geen welkom bij binnenkomst. Duurde lang voor menukaart werd aangeboden voor ons zessen. Zelfs in die tijd werd zelfs gevraagd voor al een tweede drankje omdat we al zonder zaten. In plaats daarvan bestelde we dan maar de menukaart. Eend menu wordt voorzien van een heel klein kwakje puree, m.i. had minimaal dubbele moeten zijn. Lange wachttijd tussen alles. Akkoestiek zeer luidruchtig! Er werd ook gevraagd of we dessert wilde, terwijl vier van ons buiten een kleine break hielden. Daar integen was het eten van uitzonderlijke kwaliteit.

Quiet place on the Otheense creek. Almost a hidden gem, and as it was very quiet on a sunny Sunday afternoon, that seems even more the case! Smooth and friendly service in a beautiful setting, a must stop for every cyclist / walker.

Went for dinner on Sunday evening. It was delicious and the service was fantastic. It wasn't busy so the atmosphere was a bit dull, which is a shame. Location deserves much better

Geboekt voor diner met 10 personen. de ontvangst en de bediening waren zeer goed. Je hebt er mooi uitzicht en dat maakt de locatie bijzonder, echter de inrichting is niet top. Het terras mist de allure wat je zou verwachten. Het aanleggen bij het restaurant zelf is niet eenvoudig en de trap naar het terras vanaf een zeer wankele pier is ronduit gevaarlijk en slecht onderhouden. Ons gezelschap ging voor de tournedos, de entrecote of het lamsvlees. Het geheel had weinig groenten en de sausjes moesten bijbetaald worden wat het dus wel duur maakt. Helaas bleken de lamsgerechtjes erg minimaal te zijn en helemaal doorbakken, zodanig dat we hier toch een opmerking over hebben geplaatst. De serveerster kwam terug met de boodschap van de keuken "dit zijn de normale porties" en dat irriteerde ons enorm. De serveerster deed echt haar best maar vanuit de keuken geen enkel excuus of suggestie om dit te verbeteren, we moesten het er maar mee doen. Dit had ik nog nimmer op deze manier meegemaakt en was voor ons een signaal van "slecht gastheerschap" helaas. Het had top kunnen zijn maar daar moet de keuken dat toch nog wel leren. Volgende keer varen wij hier toch aan voorbij, hoe jammer we dit ook vinden.

Nice restaurant on the creek. Friendly staff. However, there were only two serving the tables. In itself a little too little, had to wait a little longer for the dishes. We were in good company and had a pleasant evening from 6:00 PM to 9:30 PM. The food was delicious. The layout of the plates was perfect. I had carpaccio, really tasty meat. Could use a little less salt. The other guests had the lobster soup, which was spiced too sharply, but otherwise they had just finished licking the bowls, it was so delicious. We also had a delicious Tournedos. And a dame blanche for dessert. I will definitely come back here again. A cozy place to enjoy a delicious meal.

Delicious food on Christmas Day. Starter, entree, main course and dessert, it was all excellent. Staff very friendly, not stressed at all. Everything went fantastic. In short, we enjoyed it.

Very tasty food, but pricey. Unfortunately there are not many vegetarian options either. You got your money's worth with large, high-quality portions.

Zomerse dag in september...buiten gezeten op idyllisch terras...bootjes die voorbij varen. Hebben" zomer menu" genomen...voorgerecht zalm en hoofdgerecht Iberisch haasje...nagerecht panacotta... gewoon perfect. Super vriendelijke bediening...om toch een Minpuntje aan te geven... geen wijnkoeler...maar op vraag om de wijn even af te koelen werd direct op gereageerd...komen we terug ja....als we ooit in de buurt moesten zijn...

We hadden hiervoor al twee maal daar gaan eten maar dan wel een brunch en dat was zalig maar nu was het totaal niet zalig meer. De aperitief was wel goed een ook niet te duur van prijs maar de hoofdmaaltijd liet toch wel wat te wensen over we vroegen drie maal Ribeye saignant gebakken deze was nog veel te rauw uiteindelijk heeft 1 persoon toch gevraagd om hem nog eens aan te bakken maar lekker was dat totaal niet meer. De kabeljauw was heel klein maar wel lekker. Het na gerecht tweemaal Dame Blanche was bijna gesmolten waarschijnlijk te lang in de keuken blijven staan..de huiswijn was wel lekker maar toch ook wel prijzig gelukkig is het decor wel de moeite. Ik vind dit zeer spijtig want dit was zo een goed restaurant daarvoor

Zeear lekker gegeten. Alles prima verzorgd,zeer lekkere vis. Zeer mooie omgeving.Met 16 personen aanwezig en elkeen was zeer tevreden.

A Frank Loyd Wright style, with a table above the water. A huge glass section with a view over water and the flat landscape of Zeeuws Vlaanderen. Perfect setting for an evening with two or with a group. A warm welcome, delicious dishes and spotless service. All this at a bargain price. No reason to stay home.

Tonight we had a delicious crispy fried eel with spinach, sweet carrot and mashed potatoes. Everything was perfect, from the hot plate to the attentive service!

The location is beautiful and largely makes up for the poor price-quality ratio. Staff tonight were inexperienced and improvised answers to questions about the food and drinks. Plates were taken away from under your nose even though we weren't quite done yet. Card is okay. Unfortunately, there is nothing vegetarian on the menu other than just leaving out the meat ingredients. I expected more, especially considering the price was above average. But again: the location is really beautiful!

Good food and top location, one major disadvantage is the noise inside. When it's busy you can no longer have a conversation due to the noise from other tables. It is still possible with two people, but if you are with several people it is very irritating that you cannot have or follow a conversation.

I went several times and when I arrived in the parking lot there were almost or very few cars. Is this a sign???? In any case it is not encouraging and I did not enter

The secret, as with all restaurants, is in the kitchen. What Benny conjures up on your plate is absolutely unique and super delicious. Just eat there and you will immediately know what good food is.

Enjoyed a delicious meal on a weekday Thursday for a great price, first-class dishes at a top location on the Otheense Creek. In my opinion, highly recommended!

Friendly staff, wonderful view on the water, quiet moments and the food was excellent 👍😋

First and foremost, we noticed that all tables received bread with sauces for their first course, but at our table the bread plates were immediately taken away... We then asked for bread but never received it. The main courses: 2x ribeye medium rare. These were cooked medium and not medium rare. 1 person sent the steak back only to receive a medium cooked ribeye (the chef clearly does not know the cuisine). The quality of the meat was excellent. The garnish was also a shame: 1x a decent carrot, asparagus and chicory, on the other plate a mini carrot and mini chicory, and asparagus. Furthermore, we would be surprised if they were fresh fries and the sauce was certainly not freshly made. 2x mussels natural: the mussels were tasty, but they received a large plank with 2 slices of bread... (we were clearly not given bread ^^), after asking for extra bread we received 6 nice slices of bread. 1x Salmon and risotto: no comments/ Dessert (yes, we're big sweeties) 3x sabayon: this had a liquid instead of a firm structure, but the taste was good 1x dame blanche: clearly not fresh chocolate sauce, but imperial sauce (yummy) 1x breakdown Melba: no comments Also a dirty coffee bag to complete the whole with style... The service was friendly and professional (except for the bread :D) and the location is beautiful.

Ordered chicken satay and the black anngnus steak today to pick up. Was very disappointing. The fries were hard and chewy, the salad was very simple. The chicken satay was also hard and chewy. The steak was tasty... but a waste of money for the rest. Unfortunately I won't order from here anymore...

Beautiful location on the Otheense Kreek in Terneuzen. Friendly and good service by professional staff. However, dishes can be prepared even better. It is unacceptable that there are remnants of fries among the tapas range.

We chose the restaurant for its view. And the view of the creek is beautiful, especially if you sit by the window. The restaurant looks ordinary. We went for the "De Kreek" menu. The starters are delicious 😋. Main course of fish, my friends found it a bit overpowering in salt, while the meat dish was superb. The dessert was also a treat for the palate. They know how to juggle with taste. Service is friendly, understanding and smooth. The men's toilet 🚹 looked unkempt. There were no more paper towels and these had been replaced by a tea towel 😧. A letdown in these times. With the women 🚺 everything was neat and available. The restaurant is definitely worth a visit. Good price-quality ratio.
