Booked this place at an available slot by paying 5 EUR per seat. Someone called to say the time does not work for them anymore so they are cancelling. First of all, it’s the first time that I’m being charged in advance to book at a restaurant. On top of that, they never refunded my booking amount.

Not really recommended. The food wasn't tasty. I won't be going back anytime soon.

In my opinion, one of, if not the, best restaurant in Weesp. Unique flavors, a fantastic host, and great wines.

Nice location. The food is a big letdown, with very little volume and very fatty meat. The price-quality ratio isn't worth it, and the wait for your food is very long. There are many other better places to eat in Weesp. The staff is friendly.

I don’t do reviews. We wanted to split a main course, just to taste… The flavors went together so well we asked the chef to recommend another dish. Again, the flavors went together out of this world. He can cook.

Had a really good meal. Special dishes that are beautifully presented and taste delicious. Also nice service. An absolute must!

Grocer; a restaurant where you expect a lot in advance when you visit the website; which ultimately was a disappointment for us. The waiter was friendly, clearly did his best and the chef explained what exactly was served. The dishes were quite simple, not very tasty, but special combinations, portions really small. We were actually still hungry after a main course of no less than €28 (without side dish!)! The atmosphere in the restaurant is a bit like a living room, cozy but does not really radiate comfort or luxury. €5 per person (!) reservation costs, never experienced anywhere else. For us, no second time at Kruidenier, there are many better/cozier places to be found in this region.

If I could give the food six stars, I definitely would. The service was excellent, too.

Had a lovely lunch, great service. Just delicious with a nice glass of white wine (Arneis).

Very friendly staff. Menu does not offer much choice and if you only choose a main course, you get a nicely decorated plate with a lot of explanation but a small portion without side dishes. Then we find paying just under €70 for 1 bottle of water, 1 glass of wine and 2 main courses quite steep! The taste is good but the portions are meager and the desserts did not really have anything to our liking. Too bad!

Enjoyed the chef's table/bar! What a joy to see this team at work. And then the dishes, good combinations and beautifully presented plates. We enjoyed it! Ps. I don't recognize that ugly review from the person Lindeman (who only gives negative reviews). Friendly staff here, they really look forward to it!

In the afternoon we had dinner with three people. All the meat was raw and the only thing that was tasty was the bread.

What a shame, you come in, 5 p.m., 5 staff at the bar, eating, come for the happy hour oysters (from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.), indicate this, oh yes, we also have oysters.. .sit down, we'll be right with you. Then you get a card that falls apart. Cheapest bottle of wine 35 euros. At first I thought it was great, guys, eat well, we'll sit down, give us a bottle of wine, it'll be fine. I thought, no, not okay, that's not how it works, not even on an always quiet Monday, I don't want to eat like that. This was indicated, we are gone, this was also completely fine. Lots of strength to the owner. Later the staff walked by on the terrace, calling and hanging up, seriously! Too bad, nice tent, just dotting the I's!

Very good location, nice service but the food is nothing special and certainly not value for money. Overall a good restaurant in a nice location and good service but nothing interesting about the food (dinner menu).

This restaurant is truly gunning for Michelin stars because food was straight from the shed and absolutely exquisite. Each dish was personally explained and had the backstory of “sous vide for 5 hours”. It tasted like nothing I’ve ever tried before! On the photos are vegan dishes! They made a delicious cucumber salad, sous vide tomato, that was unbelievable (I mean, tomato as the main piece of the dish) and cooked piece of watermelon. 10/10.

Atmospheric restaurant with friendly service. We chose to have appetizers (anchovies, peppers, baba ganoush and oysters) as a starter. As a main course we had the basse-côte with asparagus and bimi. Everything was very tasty, so worth repeating!

The food has very strange combinations that also don't work at all. The octopus had so many ingredients that it couldn't be enjoyed and the Iberian pork that I ordered was equally strange, it had small homemade pasta with raw blackberries on top. It wasn't bad but the combination is very strange and not entirely pleasant to my palate. Also, very expensive for the quality of the food!

We wanted to have a drink, it is 4.45 pm. We ask if we can have something to drink. Immediately said until 7pm. No problem. And no food. I'll tell you in advance, she says. Cheese board might have been just fine. We just got up and left again. We didn't feel particularly welcome. Could have been said in a different way.

We had a delicious meal there! However, we also have 2 practical points of attention: 1. The menus quickly became a quartet game, because of the loose system. All the more was missing from the Dutch version. Proposal give the customer the card in desired language. Wine list can be given to 1 person. 2. The deep plates were clumsy. It was impossible to cut your meat, vegetables, etc.

Spontaneously passed by on a Monday evening, on the way to Aalsmeer. Good atmosphere immediately upon entering. Surprisingly delicious food. Nice little card. Beautifully and personally served. You feel and taste the passion. Cheerful service. We really enjoyed it!

Very unpleasant experience with the Grocer a while ago. We had been looking forward to our visit to this restaurant for a while. Had a nice spot on the beautiful terrace. One of our party has a garlic allergy. I had emailed about it before and this was no problem. Indicate directly at the service for the aperitif. He went to consult with the chef who was standing 2 meters from our table. Chef made an ugly face and made it clear that he couldn't start that. The message was that this is a Mediterranean cuisine and that garlic is always used there. Didn't bother cooking around that or taking 3 steps to our table to explain this herself. Unbelievable that nothing at all was possible. We had no choice but to look for another restaurant. 1 drink was taken off the bill. Still had to pay for a glass of wine and a bottle of water, while we had to look for another place to eat.

The place is unbelievably small. We were greeted at the door by a very nice (and young) waitress. Both waitresses had a rather strange uniform - blouses revealing half of their stomachs. Personally, I have nothing against such everyday clothes, but I think that such a restaurant should take care of better clothing for its waitresses. After eating "waiting food", the waitress took the plate away, but put the dirty cutlery (we used) on the table. I think that at €24 for 3 asparagus we should get clean cutlery. The dishes are really tasty. I think that serving the dish by the cook adds splendor to the situation. It's nice to hear how the dish you are about to eat, was prepare.

Had a delicious meal here again. Beautiful dishes that are devised, made and presented with great attention by the chefs. Also very attentive service who wants to please you. Recommended!

Had a lovely meal at de kruidenier. One of the best restaurants I’ve been in the Netherlands and in Weesp. Great food, ambience and service.

What a surprisingly delicious restaurant! Small menu (I like it) and the option to take a starter and a main course because the portions are okay. Chefs who are (rightly) proud of what they make and are happy to explain what you have on your plate. In a word, delicious!

Restaurant de Kruidenier is recommended for everyone, a restaurant that surprises you with delicious but also tasty dishes. My son recommended this Restaurant to me and I am very happy with it. The Chef comes to your table to explain his dishes, you feel like you are in a star tent, but fortunately that is not the case.

Delicious food on Sinterklaas evening: surprising menu; perfect preparation of the dishes as well as the presentation on the plate; good wine. Kudos to the chef.

A lovely restaurant with amazing food at a superb location. The restaurant has a focus on vegetables and seasonality and they offer fish and meat to complement it. The dishes are creative and delicious, nice structures and flavours. The vegan chocolate dessert was innovative and tantalising. The staff is friendly and aware. The restaurant is cosy and there's a pleasant atmosphere, it's beautifully located at the water with a lovely view of the church.

Great service, outside terrace on water, and the food was delicious! Have 4 stars for the food because we were they for a light lunch and I wasn't tog go back for dinner. The cheese plate was amazing, different cheeses than average in Amsterdam and served with pane Carasau (from Sardegna). Will be back soon!

De lunch was heerlijk wij hadden gekozen voor een drie gangenlunch, € 39,00 p.p. daar hadden we wat meer variatie in verwacht, het voorafje en hoofdgerecht was bijna hetzelfde. Al smaakte het goed. Wat prijsverhouding betreft is het te duur.

Ook ik ben groot fan! Heb hier nu twee keer GEWELDIG gegeten en een uitstekende service ontvangen. Het eten is origineel, gezond, smaakvol en prikkelt de zintuigen. Veel vegetarisch, echt van top-klasse.

Die Lage ist sehr schön und die Qualität des Essens war sehr gut. Aber: Die Karte ist sehr eingeschränkt (es gibt nur fünf Hauptspeisen von denen eine auch noch ausverkauft war), die Portionen waren winzig und die Preise extrem hoch (über 23 Euro für eine Tomate die nicht Mal gefüllt war). Wir werden nicht wiederkommen.

Yes...what a great place. The food is truly an experience. The chefs really take you on a culinary journey, where, while having the 4 course dinner, the wines complement the food precisely. All ingredients can be felt and the wines only enhance them. Highly recommended.

Heerlijk gegeten voor een verjaardag van een vriend. Net ietsje specialer eten, de kok komt het aan tafel uitleggen. Echt met passie gemaakt. Daarnaast een goede bijpassende wijnkaart. Hele leuke ervaring. We zouden zo terug gaan.

Wat een pracht plaats in Weesp een brouwerij en restaurant in een Kerk.

Heerlijk gegeten bij de Kruidenier. Mijn vrienden en ik hadden een leuk uitje gepland naar Fort Pampus. We zochten een restaurant wat vrij chique is maar wat toch niet te prijzig is. Wij waren aangenaam verrast bij de Kruidenier. We werden vriendelijk ontvangen door de 2 dames. En het interieur ziet er modern en knus uit. Het is wel aan te raden om te reserveren. Ze hebben een interessant menu met enkele specials die seizoensgebonden zijn. Ik nam als voorgerecht de schelpjes en we hadden oesters besteld. Deze proefden erg vers. Als hoofdgerecht had ik de dagvis met bimi en lamsoren. Deze was heel lekker en was heel licht. Ook mijn toetje: gort was heel smakelijk. Alle gerechten van mijn vrienden waren ook top. Al met al komen we zeker terug als we in de buurt zijn!

Gezellig restaurant met fijne bediening en een wisselend, innovatief menu, dat steeds weer verrast. Fantastisch eten en goede wijnen. Zeer aanbevolen!

Excellent place for lunch. They have a menu in English if your Dutch is rusty and the gentleman that works in the front can help you with your beer selection.

Wij hebben gisteren geluncht bij dit knusse plekje in hartje weesp. Het eten was buitengewoon goed. We hebben het er vandaag nog over :p Ik had de shoarma van oesterzwam en jemig.. dit is écht heel lekker. Ik weet de namen van de gerechten van mijn tafelgenoten niet, maar proefte een hapje van het tostiachtige broodje van mijn vriend (iets met salami) en eveneens buitengewoon lekker. Hoe kan je zo iets eenvoudigs zoveel diepgang geven... Petje af! Ook de bediening was van zeer hoge kwaliteit. Onze jas werd zelfs aangenomen door een zeer beleefde en gastvrije jongen. Een dikke aanrader!
