Restaurant De Lelie in Kerk en Zanen

We had a wonderful time here last week. It was quiet, so we were served quickly. The waitress was incredibly helpful and friendly, which isn't something we often see. My only criticism was that they weren't all in stock, but that's about it.

We had a lovely dinner here with 11 people on Saturday evening after a day of cycling. I can only say it was a wonderful evening with delicious food and friendly, welcoming service. A very nice and beautiful location, and free parking is available nearby. Highly recommended.

We ate at De Lelie for the first time tonight. They did a lot of good. We were greeted with a smile, served quickly, and were able to sit outside. The menu offers plenty of choice, including vegetarian options. I could just order a carafe of water. Everything came with a little something extra. A slice of lemon with the water, a few shrimp with the fried mussels, bread and butter with the starter. Fried potatoes and fries. It was simply good for a small Dutch restaurant by the park. Highly recommended for Alphen.

The food was good. But the terrace wasn't. That's life-threatening because there are rotten planks, and you have to be very careful where you put your chair. And yes, the toilet is way too small. The hand dryer kept running. And yes, when it's already above 25 degrees outside, you don't want that thing on your neck. There wasn't a window that could be opened either. Those are a few minor points, but otherwise it's okay. Well, if you arrive at 6 o'clock and you get your main course at a quarter to 7, you have to be patient. There are only two people there.

I chose 3 stars because the food was a bit hit and miss. The kitchen was having a bad day. First of all, the extractor hood wasn't on or at full power, and the whole place was filled with the smell of fried potatoes in such a constant, oppressive heat. Our clothes had to go straight into the wash when we got home. There were just 25 people, who arrived fairly evenly, but it still took an hour for our main course to arrive. I had the mixed grill with stir-fried vegetables. The portions were small and tasteless. I had to sprinkle one packet of salt and one packet of pepper on my main course to season it. The fries were lukewarm and half raw, and the fried potatoes didn't arrive until we had already finished eating. They were also quarter-cooked and more white than brown. I think the chef tries to do too much himself and finds it difficult to delegate. If you're struggling to feed 25 people with just two chefs, there's something wrong with the organization, the mice, the seating, and the overall planning. The service was spot on, they were sharp with the drinks, and super friendly. The reservation and reception were also excellent.

Delicious food (compliments to the chef!), cozy atmosphere and great fun with children. Our sons were allowed to come into the kitchen and help make their dessert.

Eten bij De Lelie was altijd prima. Goede prijs - kwaliteit. Niks mis mee. Eten is nog altijd goed maar bediening blijft achter. 20 minuten voordat eerste drankje komt nadat je bent gaan zitten, duurt te lang. Terras behoeft ook vernieuwing. Planken zitten los. Eten zelf is prima.

It's been a while since we ate here. As usual, friendly and attentive service, tasty dishes and a nice outdoor terrace. The Toma hawk, pork tenderloin and the pancake with cheese and bacon were delicious. Very reasonably priced. We will definitely come back again.

Waited over an hour for food. This can happen due to a lack of staff. However, if it is not mentioned that it may take a while and after the first drink no one comes for more than 45 minutes to ask if you would like another one... Well, then you will not get a top score. Food otherwise okay, don't expect anything special.

Super nice tent, worth repeating

Definitely a good meal to repeat. Paco took care of our table and was a delight, sweet boy and very talented and knows what he is doing. A full belly for little money.

Gereserveerd ivm vegetarisch aanbod van gefrituurde camembert. Na broodjes vooraf bijna uur gewacht totdat mededeling kwam dat camembert op was. Helaas maar geswitched naar vegetarisch voorgerecht portobello champignons. Na lang wachten bordje met gewone gebakken plakjes witte champgnons gemengd met beetje ui en iets van prei. Smakeloos en niet gekruid. Wel uitgelegd aan haastige bediening maar bij afrekenen volle pond moeten betalen. Volgende keer kies ik een ander restaurant uit.

Food was excellent, nothing to complain about, service too. Only it could be a bit cleaner. Tables with crumbs, floor sticky not used to... but food was really tasty.

Ate at De Lelie a number of times, steak and salmon. Both delicious, the food looks neat and is sufficient. Staff are very friendly. We like to eat at the lily and would like to come and have dinner with friends on October 20th. The reservation has been made. Recommended!

Last time at the Lelie! 2 coffee with apple pie. Coffee was fine but the apple pie was reheated junk! We have had a nice meal at De Lelie in the past, but this was really the last time.

I understand that a lot has to be made up for after the pandemic, but I don't think charging 8.50 on a small amount of fries with frikadel served on a children's plate ex mayonnaise is disproportionate. Such a shame.

Zet zijn bus altijd maar midden op straat neer. Past wel bij opmerking over rijgedrag. Totaal geen rekening houden met anderen. Geniet er zelfs van om bus expres in de weg te zetten. Is inderdaad wachten op ongelukken door onverantwoord gedrag.

Very mediocre service, food was very salty and the short rib was dry. The sauces clearly came from packets. The icing on the cake was a Lava Cake that came straight from the Sligro freezer for €10...

It's all been better. We hadn't been here for a long time. If you went here years ago for a good satay, well-filled sticks with tender meat, the thin satays that are now served can no longer match this. Taste wise, otherwise good, but little and dry. And 75 cents for a thimbleful of mayonnaise?? I didn't really find the dessert menu to be my thing, tiramisu with gingerbread why??? Hubby took the 3 different flavors of sorbet ice cream, which he had imagined a little differently, 3 slices of sorbet ice cream in a tower on a drizzle of strawberry sauce with 2 small dollops of whipped cream, canned mandarin oranges and pineapple and 1 grape cut in half. We actually had a lot of fun about it. But good price/quality is not really in balance, so to speak. Too bad, I used to love going here.

We recently said goodbye to a colleague who retired. Thanks to Alex and his team it became an unforgettable event. It was all arranged quickly, Alex immediately understood what we wanted and with the expertise of him and his team we were able to solve it quickly. Even tasty Vega snacks were no problem. My colleagues are still talking about the successful farewell (including the mini burgers with fries, the yakatori skewers and the other fantastic snacks). We will definitely come back, if not for a party then for the delicious lunches!
