Delicious food, friendly service, and only quality meat and fish. We usually don't eat anywhere twice because we always want variety, but we dined at De Spicerij twice because they have a fantastic menu. Highly recommended, and we'll be back soon.

There were six of us. We received very friendly service, and we didn't have to wait long for our orders. The food was excellent! We would gladly come back anytime!

On the first day of Pentecost we had a nice meal with 16 people with Harley friends from Groesbeek. The hostess Froukje is very nice and professional. Together with her right hand Auke she makes it a culinary and nice experience. Thanks also to the kitchen and service staff. Will definitely come again.

Were the right spices unavailable that day? The menu does have some moderately good ideas, but the execution is lacking. The service was friendly and courteous, but dishes were swapped AND forgotten. And in terms of taste, I expect a "specierij" to delight the palate, not bland meat seasonings. The restaurant can't do anything about the ambiance created by the surroundings, but it's hardly possible to find a more touristy location. All in all, a standard diner with some annoyances, but definitely not worthy of a 5-star rating.

We left because the service was somewhat disorganized and unfriendly. When after 15 minutes, neither a menu nor a request for drinks is brought, it seems the restaurant isn't taking its service seriously. When even the table next to us, after we've repeatedly called for our attention, tells the waiter that we're thirsty, and the waiter then makes a stupid comment, you're glad there are more restaurants here.

Ate delicious plaice. Because it is so big it is not very cozy inside.

We were there with a group. The fish was tasty, not much, but okay. But there was only a small side salad, a small bowl of fries, and a small bowl of vegetables for six people. Everything else took forever, even with multiple reorders, and was met with unfriendly looks.

Delicious fish. Highly recommended. Nice portions. They had prepared a tasting of starters for us, which was not on the menu. But we couldn't choose.

Onvriendelijk personeel, niet gastvrij, Koud eten, gespannen sfeer, gestrest ik vind het geen aanrader. En voor de prijs is er ergens anders iets beters te krijgen. Waardeloze zaak.

The restaurant is located directly on the canal, in the middle of Lemmer. The staff is attentive, friendly but not intrusive. The atmosphere is relaxed. The food was very tasty and the meat and fish were cooked to perfection. The side dishes were served for two people and were completely sufficient for us. It tasted great, even though the vegetables Unfortunately it was only luke warm. We'd love to come back! PS: The fried potatoes are potato wedges, shown in the first photo.

Was open according to website, we made reservation and received a confirmation. Came to celebrate a birthday. Once there we saw they were closed, no sign on the door for altered times. When I called they informed me it shouldn't have been possible to make a reservation. Yet we had confirmation and the website stated they were open.

Unfriendly staff, no greeting or smile from two ladies, offensive way of talking, very unwelcoming. It is special to experience this because you cannot experience this anywhere else on a lovely sunny day on a terrace by the water.

Het vistrio besteld, zag er lekker uit op de kaart. Waren in werkelijkheid drie platte, uitgedroogde stukken vis. Terecht werd onze bestelling van de rekening gehaald. De wijn was wel lekker. Bediening was ook okee. Had van het eten meer verwacht…

We ate here with 4 people, the prices aren't the cheapest but that's basically not a problem. The staff is very friendly but sometimes seems reorganized or confused... E.g. There was a couple sitting at the table next to us whose food was simply placed on an empty table and it was only when we asked that they realized that no one was sitting there and that the food belonged to the couple. Shortly beforehand we were brought food (we were sitting inside) that was intended for one of the tables outside. The food itself was okay but nothing earth-shattering. Only the concept of the supplements is questionable. Ordered 3 main courses but only got 2 side dishes. When asked, they said they should share them. The side dish portions are rather lower midfield even for one portion and with several simply far too few. One person didn't order a declared main course but instead ordered fried potatoes with fresh vegetables and hollandaise. The definition of fried potatoes was very questionable and the fresh vegetables consisted of broccoli and nothing else. Just sad and would definitely fall under deception in Germany. The broccoli and the fried potatoes were also among the side dishes for the main courses, meaning one person simply didn't get any food at all. Never again! I'm sorry because the staff tried hard but couldn't really change anything. P.S. Medium steak here is rather raw

A very nice restaurant right on the water. The food was very good, but unfortunately cold. But that wasn't the kitchen's fault, but rather the poor service. After receiving our drinks we were ignored for 30 minutes despite waitresses walking around. There was no response to waving. Only after calling several times did the service come. We received the food without cutlery, which is why we had to wait about 6 more minutes for it. Food was now cold. When we noted the desired payment, we waited again for almost 30 (!) minutes. And then someone just asked again. Maybe you can give it a second chance on another day, but we didn't have a good impression. Service poor!

Deze plek leek ons een goede stopplaats voor een kopje thee en een ijsje. Aan de ober gevraagd aan voor een GEWONE thee. Daar bedoelen we zwarte thee mee. Het bestelde werd geleverd maar zonder zwarte thee. De bediening vind dat Earl Grey gewone thee is. Dat hebben we niet. En liep gelijk weg!!! Nu hebben wij altijd thee bij ons dus deze maar uit de tas gehaald. Toen bleek het water ook nog lauw. Wanneer je gebruik maar van een automaat hou dan rekening dat het eerste wat uit de machine komt lauw is. Neem 10 seconde meer tijd dan is het water heet. Het ijsje ( dame blanche)wat ik genomen had was GEEN roomijs. En dat voor een prijs van 9.50 euro. Alles bij elkaar viel alles tegen. Bij het afrekenen er nogmaals op gewezen dat Earl Grey geen zwarte thee is. Hij beloofde deze thee te bestellen. Ik ben benieuwd of het over enkele dagen wel te krijgen is!!

Had dinner with 4 people. Steak, liver and fish was delicious. We were supposed to share the side dishes with 4 people, but it was for one person. We were able to reorder but by the time it arrived, the main course was served. And then accidentally 😂 calculated. I got the money back (€6) but €175 for 4 main courses, a fries, a small salad and a few vegetables was absolutely ridiculous.

The steaks were on point, the fish not from the deep fryer but beautifully mottled from the pan. You can order fries, etc., which is common in NL. We'll definitely come back👍

A fine restaurant on the canal. When the weather is nice, you can also make yourself comfortable outside in covered seating areas. The food is really tasty, the only drawback is the portions of fries. A little bit of what you get. But they are still tasty and not so dry.

Food was amazing, steak, hummus and nuggets. There are Griek options in the menu, wide range of fish. Staff was great. service was fast and portions are big compared to many other restaurants

The food was fine, but it was a pity that the main course took so long for the side dishes to arrive. Our piece of meat/fish was almost gone. I'm talking about 10 minutes here and you don't want the meat/fish to get cold. Also when paying, it turned out that 3 drinks (there were four of us) were overcharged. But all in all a nice meal in a cozy restaurant

Everything perfect. Very attentive housekeeper. Ambience invites you to relax and enjoy. Food was very tasty, as experienced several times in Holland, at first there was a very small portion of vegetables and fries, but you can order as much as you want free of charge. We'll definitely come back. Oh yes, price/performance is also great.

We had a delicious meal at De Specerij again this evening. Quality dishes and very friendly service. Everything was to your liking! And the city center is so cozy now with all those lights. Highly recommended. Thanks again and see you next time!

Het eten was echt heerlijk. De biefstuk smolt in je mond. Ook de bediening zeer vriendelijk.

Super Service, sehr leckeres Essen

Nadat wij vertrokken uit de beachclub omdat ze daar zeer onvriendelijk waren..werden we hier gastvrij ontvangen heerlijk gegeten en gedronken, vriendelijk personeel, voelt als vakantie, zoals het hoort. BEDANKT heeft ons avond goed gemaakt

Een topavond gehad bij De Specerij. Heerlijk gegeten. Heerlijke romige mosterdsoep en een stoofpotje precies goed klaargemaakt. De bediening was vriendelijk en ondanks de topdrukte werden de gerechten snel geserveerd. We hebben genoten van de goede sfeer.

Absolute Unverschämtheit. Wir haben 45 min gewartet und keine Essenskarte bekommen. Als wir das eine Bier dann frustriert gezahlt haben, wurden wir noch unfreundlich behandelt.

Het personeel was zeer onvriendelijk (lees onbeschoft) zodat er zelfs gasten waren die wegliepen. De tafel was vuil en de glazen voor het drinken waren groezelig. De bestelde varkenshaas, kip en biefstuk waren doorgebakken, taai en smakeloos. De ( zeer kleine ( geschat +/- 100-115 gr. wegende)) steak en de kalfsschnitzel waren redelijk van smaak. Het bijgerecht (voor vier personen) bestond uit een schaaltje friet, een schaaltje met 3 stukjes bloemkool en een bakje sla. Toen wij nog om wat friet en sla vroegen, vermeldde de bediening snauwerig dat het geleverde bijgerecht eigenlijk voor 4 personen was uitgerekend (?) Met andere woorden ... wat we hadden gekregen moest eigenlijk ruim voldoende zijn. Zuchtend werd er nog wat friet en sla op de tafel gekwakt. Conclusie: Men had schijnbaar die dag echt geen zin om te werken en je kreeg het gevoel dat men de gasten liever kwijt als rijk was. Nee, dit restaurant is geen aanrader.

Inrichting had iets knusser gekund. Verder picobello.

Das Essen schmeckt ganz gut. Personal ist freundlich aber etwas überarbeitet.

We lagen met de boot in Lemmer en hebben elkaar ooit ontmoet in De Specerij. Het eten was erg lekker en de bediening was prettig.

Zeer slechte bediening en €22.00 voor plateservice waar we ruim een uur op hebben moeten wachten vind ik erg duur. ook kregen we geen drinken bij het eten broodplank vooraf hebben we 45 minuten op moeten wachten het was erg druk maar er iszolan g wij binnen waren niemand naar onze tafel gekomen om te vragen wat we wilden drinken. Dit is de tweede en laatste keer dat ik hier heb gegeten vorige keer was ook knudde

Die Qualität der Speisen und die Portionsgröße haben zwar nachgelassen, aber das Lokal beibt immer noch eine Empfehlung. Keine überladene Speisenauswahl, sondern eher die Klassiker die es immer schon gab. Im Außenbereich sitzt man sehr komfortable. Reservierung ist angeraten. Achtung neue Öffnungszeiten. Menschen mit richtig Appetit sollten direkt wenn die Speisen serviert werden, nach einer Zulage von Pommes oder Groenten fragen...Preise, wie fast überall wohl coronabedingt, schon recht heftig.

The food quality itself was fine but as others mentioned: the size of the portion, especially the sides is quite small.

Tolle Lage, schöne Karte, netter Service und faire Preise! 1 Jahr später wieder besucht: die Preise sind immens gestiegen, kaum ein Menü bekommst du unter 25 Euro, die Portionen sind halbiert. Als frische Gemüsebeilage zum gebackenen Kabeljau hatte ich genau 1 grünen Spargel. Dazu gereicht wird dann noch in der Pfanne mit viel Zwiebeln angebratenes TK- Gemüse, viel Salat und Pommes. Man merkt einfach, dass gespart werden muss. Der Service ist mega freundlich, dennoch war das Specerij in den letzten Tagen eher mau besucht, die Restaurants nebenan hingegen laufen gut. Sehr Schade!

Het is echt super duur en er was brood een beetje aangebrand en veel proevde anders dan normaal

Prijs-kwaliteit voor eten was OK. Bediening had nog een hoop te leren. Bestelling willen opnemen terwijl iedereen nog menu open had liggen en aan het kijken was en vervolgens 10 minuten lang niet naar de tafel omkijken, zelfs geen blik op onze tafel geworpen, subtiel wenken had ook geen effect. Twee meiden waren te druk andere zaken met elkaar te bespreken achter de bar. Eigenaar (?) was alleen druk met andere zaken dan de gasten. Voor het eten zelf zouden we overwegen nog eens terug te komen overigens.

Verjaardag van mijn moeder gevierd op het terras. Wat hebben we het gezellig gehad.

Leuke locatie, vond koffie en appeltaart niet geweldig, uitsmijter lekker maar niks bijzonders. Gewoon... goed, niet meer.

Prima restaurant, goede service

Het was de bedoeling om 20.30 uur om met 6 personen te borrelen op het terras. Bij aankomst bij de tafel gaf de ober "zonder ons welkom te heten" aan dat de keuken dicht was in het hoogseizoen om 20:30 uur. Onvriendelijk werd gezegd dat in verband met de warmte de keuken al gesloten was. Aangezien wij alleen iets wilden drinken, zijn wij aan de tafel gaan zitten. De onvriendelijke ober nam de bestelling van het drinken op. Wij vroegen of wij wel een bittergarnituur konden bestellen waarop de reactie van de ober was: dat kan niet aangezien we nog de dinerkaart hanteren en daar mee bezig zijn. Dit verbaasde ons zeer aangezien hij even daarvoor zei dat de keuken gesloten was. Aangezien wij het gevoel kregen niet welkom waren als gast zijn wij vertrokken en zijn wij op een ander terras gaan zitten borrelen. Niet echt een gastvrij restaurant.

Leckeres Essen, freundliches Personal, aber bei 3 Hauptgerichten gab es leider nur für alle 1 kleine Schale Pommes ,1x kleiner Salat ,und 1x Gemüse in einer kleinen Schüssel. Das war definitiv zu wenig!

Mooie plek langs het water, gezellig gezeten.

Eigentlich hätte das Restaurant vier Sterne bekommen können. Wir verweilten dort an einem schönen Juniabend ca. 1 1/2 Stunden im Außenbereich. Die Getränke wurden zügig und das Essen nach etwa 20 Minuten serviert. Bis hierhin alles gut. In der Folge hat man sich um uns anschließend nicht mehr gekümmert. Auf die Frage, ob man noch einen Wunsch hat oder alles in Ordnung ist warteten wir vergebens. Auch wenn das Restaurant gut besucht war, hätten wir hier einen besseren und aufmerksameren Service gewünscht. Schade!

Wir haben sehr gut gegessen. Fleisch war auf den Punkt gegart. Auch die Fischteller mit dem Nudeln waren Klasse. Nur eine Zusatzbestellung kam erst nach weiterer Aufforderung. Daher ein Punkt Abzug beim Service. Aber es ist zu empfehlen.

Die Mannschaft war wohl überfordert. SO kann man uns kein weiteres Geschäft mehr machen. Hauptgerichte (4 St.) mit ca. 25 Euro brauchten erheblich lange, bis sie an den Tisch kamen. Zumal dann erst die Hauptzutaten angebracht wurden und auf mehrmaliges Nachfragen die Beilagen weiterhin zögerlich und beinahe kalt gebracht wurden. Für vier Personen kamen dann insgesamt ein kleines Schälchen Pommes, eines mit Gemüse und eines mit Salat. Am Nebentisch für zwei Personen dieselbe Grösse. Die Bedienung zweimal meinte nur ausweichend und lustlos, das sei so. Als wir nach dem Essen gefragt wurden, ob alles gut sei, brachten wir diesen Umstand nochmals zur Sprache. Die Resonanz war weiterhin negativ und abwiegelnd. Der Service insgesamt unprofessionell, langsam und unmotiviert. Dieses Lokal und das dortige Verhalten sind NICHT zu empfehlen.

Ik had vrienden meegenomen omdat ik een goede ervaring had bij jullie. Het eten smaakte wel goed maar was veel te weinig toen ik vroeg of we bij konden bestellen bleek de keuken dicht te zijn. Het was half 8 en hoogseizoen ik had dit graag voor de maaltijd willen horen. We hebben een flinke prijs moeten betalen voor zeer weinig eten . Dat was vorig jaar maar zie nu pas dat ik kan reageren. Ik kom niet weer bij jullie. Dit was geen goede reklame

Mega Ambiente mit Windschutz und bei Bedarf Wärmestrahlern, grandiose Scampis, vielfältige Vorspeisen und das mit direktem Blick aufs Wasser. Fleisch und Fisch ebenfalls top! Vielen lieben Dank! Service mega freundlich und aufmerksam!👍✨

Heerlijk gegeten, schaaltje friet mag wel iets groter voor het aantal personen wat er van mee eet. Zeer vriendelijke bediening.
