Had a lovely lunch here on the terrace. The man who served us was attentive, cheerful, and quick.

Great! Service and food were perfect. We were lucky enough to get the second-to-last portions, after which it was over, to the detriment of the other guests.

It tasted very good. I would definitely come back if I could.

Top location near the bridge, excellent food

Six of us dined here one evening and, to be honest, weren't impressed with the main courses. The service was attentive and friendly, but the white wine (Pinot Grigio) was unfortunately poor, and the food didn't really seem that good. The schnitzel and spaghetti were just about okay, but the appetizer plate of Dutch specialties came straight from the fryer and didn't taste good at all.

Delicious coffee with apple pie and whipped cream. Then some kibbeling. Very nice service.

Tasty eaten, the fried potatoes are better, supply ok but could be a little better. The view is great.

We are visitors from Switzerland. I don’t want to be rude or disrespectful, but maybe here in Netherlands is normal to bring the pancakes half prepared. On the outside it had burned taste, but in the inside it was not cooked enough. The Belgium Waffles were obviously bought in a supermarket, and cooked in a microwave. We also had to spread the nutella on the waffles or on the pancakes ourselves. In the name of the place stands "Restaurant", by that I assume that the food is ready to eat. The atmosphere was pretty good. And the local was very beautiful on the looks. But that’s basically the only thing good there. I wouldn’t recommend this place!

Nice place, had a very tasty hamburger with fries. Great service, took a while with a drink but the best man was alone, at the moment that a colleague arrived everything went quickly so certainly no complaints about that. Nice place to sit, looking over the tourist harbor. All in all a nice place good food. Thanks

Very nice dinner at the end of a 4 day sailing. Both vegetarians and carnivores got their money's worth.

Visited with 4 people. Food selection on the menu is quite modest. Ordered 4x schnitzel and drinks each. Unfortunately, for the 4 schnitzels there was only ONE slightly larger bowl of fries where everyone could help themselves. There is also a very small salad bowl to share. Both are definitely far too little for 4 people and for the price. When we asked if we could please get another bowl of fries, another bowl was brought to us... BUT TO OUR AMAZING THIS WAS CHARGED EXTRA!!! During our further observations, other guests, who were in pairs and even alone, were given the same size and amount of fries and salad that the four of us had and had to share. !!! This is a rip off for me!!! It's a shame, because otherwise it's a nice restaurant.

Good value for money, well cooked

We were absolutely shocked. In the past, on every Lemmer holiday, you always went to the center a few times and enjoyed delicious food and great service... and today, the blonde waitress greeted you unfriendly, the table was cleared, but not Wiped off, the full ashtray was probably intended as a table creation to create a certain ambience for our dinner. Upon request, at least half of the table was cleaned.... Unfortunately, the menu was no longer as we knew it. So just had a drink and went to another restaurant. A few minutes later, the couple from the neighboring table in the center also sat down in the restaurant we had chosen - so apparently we were not an isolated case - a shame

A little longer waiting time when ordering or paying... Food so far good and tasty... Unfortunately there were a few fries and salad here too. In the picture you can see side dishes for 3 people:-(

Had a very delicious meal with a group during a day trip to Lemmer. The nachos were generously filled with cheese, onion and peppers. The sandwiches were also well filled. Very large portions, but luckily they didn't make a fuss when we asked if we could take the rest with us, super nice! Had good service from very friendly waiters.

You can come here for satay, tenderloin tips or schnitzel. With a group you can have an affordable, good and enjoyable meal here.

A 10 for the food. A really delicious schnitzel. A 10 for the location. Beautiful view over the water where the drawbridge regularly opens. And an 8 for the service. The service could be friendlier and smoother. Definitely go back here for a delicious meal.

I enjoy sitting here in the café, with a good view of the ships and the inner harbor. Food and drink are ok too. I'm already looking forward to my next visit to Lemmer

Very nice restaurant/restaurant right at the lock. When the weather is nice, you can sit by the water and enjoy delicious food, drinks and/or coffee. Absolutely recommended when visiting Lemmern. Dogs are welcome 🤗

Here you can get very tasty apple strudel with vanilla sauce and a scoop of ice cream. The café is popular, so the waiting time is sometimes a bit longer.

Nice on the terrace, but the beer took a long time due to the lack of service. Fortunately we had a good time with the commotion in front of the lock basin. Extremely pleasant.

Friendly, but unearthly inefficient waitressing. We waited for 1 1/15 hours until we could put an order. You literally have to catch up with the waiters, there's no way they ask you for your order themselves. It's a shame because the ambiente of the place is great. I guess the turnover could easily be doubled if the waiters were doing their job. We were three people and had 4 beers and one coffee in three hours, not because we were not thirsty but just because there was nobody around to take further orders.

I'm surprised at the many good reviews here. Maybe we had a bad day, maybe we were understaffed, but our experience here wasn't very good. It took a very long time before we could order, and then it took a very long time for our drinks to arrive. From then on we were more or less ignored; it was even hard to get anyone to take another order. This was brought again only after a long time and then incorrectly. Another repeat order was simply forgotten. We also didn't notice any of the dog-friendliness described by other reviewers. All of this seemed very strange considering that we were here during the pre-season and during the week. What is it supposed to look like in the high season?

Nothing wrong with that. Just a beautiful location

Too expensive, for a small portion. For lunch I ordered the 'pistolet carpaccio'. Ratio between price and quantity is completely skewed. I don't mind paying a little more, but €16 for a pistol that still left me hungry is disproportionate. Or lower the price, or increase portions!

In my opinion, loveless and unimaginative food. Too expensive for what is offered!

Nice stop between Amsterdam - Groningen. Are you exactly halfway there? No problem with parking. Old-fashioned coziness. In the summer there is a terrace on the water. This time we wanted a small snack in the evening. The waiter was not complicated and we were able to discuss the lunch menu in peace. Fries were spicy, kibbeling was delicious. Fast operation. Ice cream, coffee and continue with the journey.

Lovely meal at a lovely town. The decor was very hygge with interesting displays to fascinate the little ones. I highly recommend the fish and chips dish on the lunch menu and the bitterballen! There are tables available by the window so you can watch the boats on the canal. Highchairs are also available.

Average ambience in contrast to other restaurants. Hospitality a bit sloppy. TOP view, with a view of the lock.

Delicious food Friendly service

We were here twice today, the first and the last time. The two points are only there because my family liked the food. My schnitzel was tough like an old shoe sole, baked completely to pieces and apparently in old, musty fat. The fried potatoes smelled so unpleasantly of old, stale fat that I left them after a few bites. My food was a total failure, worse than ever, but my family's was fine. The ambience was only nice because you had a view of the kracht. For me, the whole thing is not worth recommending at all, quite the opposite.

Nice meal, flamkuchen, bread with 2 croquettes. And a "well" filled glass of wine. Clean toilet

Great lunch, fast service and affordable

We hadden ons verheugd op een gezellig en heerlijk diner samen. Een weekendje weg en dan kom je hier terecht voor het diner. Zo jammer onze ervaring, een Malbec wijntje 🍷 in een onrein, omgespoeld klein wijnglas, het glas Amstel bier was in een Heineken glas 😂, de schnitzel was kurkdroog en het trio van vis waarvan de zalm en kabeljauw uitgedroogd waren. De gepofte aardappel… ik durfde niet verder te kijken met wat er in groeide 🫣 bah bah. De gebakken aardappeltjes, leek er meer op dat ze ‘s ochtends gebakken waren en ‘s avonds opgewarmd in de magnetron. Hospitality was ver te zoeken.. zo jammer onze beleving aldaar. Voor ons absoluut nooit meer… beter was het vistentje om de hoek geweest! Punten ter verbetering daar, dat is zeker!!! En dan nog waarderen wij de horeca ..

Mediocre in quality. No choice in tea flavour. Churros are not fresh; comes out of the freezer and not cooked properly (undercooked).

As the name suggests, this cafe restaurant is located in the center of Lemmer. Nice to sit by the window with a view of the canal and the historic center of Lemmer. We were there for lunch, it was quite quiet, but it's a cool day in January. Lemmer is also worth a visit. I had an egg roll and a beer on tap. The service was smooth. Nice to talk some Frisian again, it's there - nice - the waiter joined in, although he called the village Sleat in Dutch - Sloten -. Anyway, it is a great place to stay in the Centrum cafe restaurant. I think the terrace would be full in the summer. When the weather is too hot they sometimes close the tent.....

We sat comfortably and had nice conversations with the bartender. Next time we will definitely have dinner because what we saw coming out of the kitchen looked perfect.

Good coffee on the city canal. Great apple pie with a wonderful view of the lock and the beautiful little town of Lemmer.

Nice place to eat. You will be helped quickly and the atmosphere is very pleasant. In addition, the portions are perfect and you will go home with a nice filled belly. Finally, the staff is also very friendly and also has time for a little chat. I will definitely come here again.

Eten is echt fantastisch, meer dan genoeg en met veel zorg bereid en geserveerd met allerlei bijgerechten. Verrassend goed, wij komen zeker weer 👍

Ein schönes Restaurant direkt am Hafen. Wir haben trotz schönen Wetter innen gesessen. Wir sind gut Bedient worden. Wir hatten zwei Fischgericht die lecker zubereitet waren. Der Beilagensalat war groß und frisch, das Dressing schmackhaft. Die Beilagen waren ausreichend. Allerdings war es etwas teuer.

Sehr schöner Aussenbereich direkt am Kanal. Sehr schnelle und nette Bedienung. Essen perfekt. Danke

Niet best….. bestelling duurde erg lang. Zelf drinken en het was enorm warm. Gemiste kans. broodje zonder ui besteld, dat lukte niet, half half er afgeveegd, en zo weer neer gezet. Overal zat nog ui. Flamkuchen was kneiter hard en de randjes net niet aangebrand. Mensen hadden geen idee wat ze aan het doen zijn. Enige pluspunt is de lokatie

Komen er al jaren en het was altijd goed tot vandaag.... Bediening ziet niet dat er een nieuwe klant op het terras gaat zitten ook niet dat hij meerdere malen probeert de aandacht van de bediening te trekken. Ze lopen gewoon verder na geknikt te hebben. Ze hebben het te druk met de andere kant terras(waarschijnlijk vrienden) want daar lopen ze regelmatig heen. De andere kant terras krijgt geen aandacht. Pas na dik 30 minuten komen ze bij je omdat er meerdere nieuwe klanten komen welke binnen 5 minuten geholpen worden. Het meisje ziet nu pas dat ik er ben omdat ik haar aanspreek. Hopen dat dit eenmalig was

Sie haben es nicht geschafft 4 Menues zusammen zu bringen. Das 4te Essen kam, als die anderen 3 fertig waren mit Essen. Schade, denn die Lage wäre super.

Vast bezoek in de Lemster week! Zelfs met topdrukte een snelle bediening en perfecte service.

Vlotte vriendelijke bediening. Een goed glas drinken, het eten grote porties en uiteraard lekker. Een zekere aanrader als je in Lemmer bent

Wij komen hier regelmatig, omdat het er gezellig is, je wordt vriendelijk geholpen en het eten is er prima.

Das Café hat Flair und etwas von einem altem Kaffeehaus. Nachmittags genießt man hier Kaffee und guten Kuchen mit Schlag. Sehr zu empfehlen auch der Tee, ich bekam ein Pfefferminztee mit frischer Minze und Honig, richtig gut!!!
