Fantastic! Delicious food, fresh and surprising. Friendly service and a nice atmosphere. The price was reasonable. We'll definitely be back. Lovely people.

Waiting for a seat. Waiting for service, and then everything vegetarian and vegan. (And that last one is a matter of taste, but disappointing for me). Two strikes and you're out. I walked out.

We had to wait a bit for a table, which went quite quickly. After that, we were expertly ignored by the waitstaff. They were mostly busy with each other. After fifteen minutes, no one had come to see us. He did serve the table next to us, but he showed us his back to two chattering waitresses at the entrance. We left. What kind of company is there if you don't train your staff better? This isn't the fault of the staff, but of the management.

Great place. Delicious local and fresh food. Good atmosphere. Friendly service. It's nice that you can always sit at the self-service bar.

The setting was quite nice. The food was a huge disappointment. I had the tasting menu, but they'd either forgotten everything about the salad or it had already been eaten. It consisted of two broad beans, one blackberry, and half a lettuce leaf. I'd mentioned that I was pregnant, but it still contained ingredients I wasn't supposed to have, which was a shame. We sat on the lounge sofas, which is a nice spot, but not comfortable. When we asked if it was possible to move to a table if the opportunity arose, the response was that it wasn't possible. Once you're seated, you're seated. It's a beautiful spot in the woods, but I wouldn't go back. The carrot cake, by the way, was a 10/10. And there was one super nice woman serving us. Super cheerful and incredibly hospitable.

First, you have to wait for minutes before you can go out onto the terrace because the sign says "wait here" while there are plenty of empty tables, and then, after being seated, you're ignored for minutes while trying to order. The women were busy with each other. They ran away.

Had a super delicious lunch! I had the tasting menu, which was truly delicious. The products were of good quality, and there was a mix of surprising flavor combinations and classics. Expect a bit of a wait on weekends, but it wasn't too bad; I think we only waited about 10 minutes at most.

Beautiful surroundings, with meadows where cows graze, kayaking, hiking, and cycling are all possible. Veldkeuken offers fresh vegetables from its own garden and surrounding area. The service is excellent; the staff are very friendly and the service is excellent! Delicious food in a natural setting! Will definitely be back!

I had tea there with a dear friend in the afternoon and enjoyed a delicious cake! It had a cozy atmosphere and great service. Quiet surroundings. We had been to the pick-your-own garden earlier, and it was a lovely afternoon.

Delicious food, lovely service! The terrace gives a relaxed holiday feeling surrounded by greenery. We had the harvest table dinner, vegetarian surprises. Amuse-bouche, starter, main course, and dessert. Absolutely delicious!

The food (lunch) was good, but the service was unfortunately mediocre. It was busy, but even after the rush, we had to ask several times where our coffee was and to pay. A shame.

A wonderful spot by the woods and the water. Lovely seating and delicious organic food and drinks. A great place to enjoy a drink or a bite to eat. You can also take something tasty with you, such as bread, pastries, or drinks. In short, fantastic!

What a lovely surprise! Meat- and fish-free menu. Nothing fancy on the menu. Beautiful location, but very busy. There's a shop next door where you can buy delicious bread. Smoke-free terrace!

I had a delicious vegetarian meal, and I have a few allergies (including dairy and some vegetables), and they were very accommodating. The service was excellent and attentive, without being pushy. A great place, I recommend it!

The Veldkeuken is one of those places I like to come back every week. The food is honest and organic and the vibe is friendly and welcoming. A hidden gem!

Written on Sunday 4 May Yesterday evening I had dinner with friend P at the Veldkeuken. Ten years ago, when the restaurant had just opened for dinner, I had had a disappointing dinner there with another friend. In the meantime, the reputation of the Veldkeuken as a restaurant has increased considerably. Secretly, I had quite high expectations for the dinner. The Veldkeuken is located in Amelisweerd. We had made a reservation at 18:15. We had walked there on time and at 17:45 we were already seated in the restaurant. That turned out to be half an hour too early, an amuse with some bread was only served at 18:15. As a starter we were served mushrooms with spinach and some kind of chips, I don't know what they were made of. The main course consisted of a kind of cake of chickpeas with a grilled white asparagus and some green asparagus and aubergines. Then a dessert, a cheesecake. Finally, a cheese board with three different Dutch cheeses, some plum bread and some mango chutney. It would have made more sense to me to serve the cheese board first and then the sweet dessert. The dinner was perfect in every way (all courses a 10!). What disappointed me was the length of the meal, we were not finished until 8:00 PM. I am used to eating at Kolintang, where I order the food, wait for 10 minutes at most and am finished in fifteen minutes. At the Veldkeuken it was an exercise in patience, something I have little of. The meal cost me 134 euros. The three-course harvest menu was 45 euros, the cheese board 10 euros, 2 glasses of wine for my friend 14 euros (I only drank tap water), a bowl of butter for the bread 1 euro and 9 euros tip. Restaurant de Veldkeuken is completely vegetarian and organic, works a lot with products from their own garden and regional dishes and we had an excellent meal. Highly recommended!

Lots of restaurants in the area advertise simple meals with fresh and local ingredients, but De Veldkeuken is one of the few that actually delivers. Pleasantly surprised by the quality of the cappuccino, also recommend the soup of the day as one of the more affordable menu items -- that plus an entree was enough for 2.

Quite an experience, as I am a real meat lover. This vegetarian food raised many questions but was more than tasty and really recommended! I will definitely come here again!

After a run in Amelisweerd, I ended up at De Veldkeuken. The weather was lovely so we wanted to sit outside. Got a nice spot, food was delicious and for a great price. Low-gluten (they prepare gluten in the kitchen, so gluten-free cannot be guaranteed) and dairy-free is possible.

Lovely place on the water. Terrace with service. And an outdoor bar if you want to get something quickly. Although, fast? That won't happen very quickly. Three staff members stand around doing nothing and watching the line get longer and longer; while 1 colleague is working like crazy. There has to be a smarter way to do that...

Last afternoon we had lunch for the first time at the field kitchen on the terrace. The menu looks good, we ordered buratta pasta, delicious! And the ginger lemon lemonade with sparkling water is really recommended, a wonderfully fresh drink. And not to forget, super nice people who work there. We will come by more often😄👍

Typical trendy place near Utrecht.

Young and inexperienced staff. Claims to be an organic restaurant but saw no quality marks. The toilet was outside the building and there was a card showing when cleaning had taken place. There was a lot of paper on the floor. I'm afraid that staff have never heard of the social hygiene course.

Delicious cappuccino but excessively expensive! And also a lot less in the new coffee cups. 3 sips and done. Shame.

It was our first time having lunch here and we were positively happy with the choice. The food is very taste and well presented. They also have several cakes and bread. Reservation is recommended. The service was friendly and took some time but not too much. The decoration and location is really nice and close to nature spaces.

De locatie en sfeer van het restaurant zijn goed. Makkelijk parkeren en je kunt bij mooi weer buiten zitten. De keuze wat betreft lunch gerechten vond ik beperkt. Op zich was het gerecht dat ik besteld had, was niet bijzonder en de prijs was echt veel te hoog! Een "broodje kaas" voor €12.

I don’t say this lightly — but this is the BEST appeltaart I have had in the Netherlands. It used to be at Cupp in Utrecht but they seem to have stopped selling it. Some people think you need to queue for an hour in Amsterdam for the best appeltaart. Well, I’m sorry, that famous taart has nothing on this one!!!! Run, don’t walk, to this slice of apple cinnamon heaven!!! Lovely place, warm atmosphere and great to go for a little stroll along the canal after your coffee and cake. They also have a takeaway cart outside which is nice.

After a lovely walk in beautiful Amelized you can buy delicious products here (made from local raw materials) and definitely drink delicious hot chocolate with whipped cream

Nice lunch. Started with homemade lemonade with lemon and ginger, followed by homemade pasta and cappuccino for dessert. Thought it was a bit on the expensive side, but the atmosphere is really nice!

I had taken a coffee break during my bike ride and didn't eat anything, but I did enjoy it. I sat outside on the curved Rhine, very nice view and friendly staff. Highly recommended, I'm sure I'll come back again to try the food.
