Good place to sit and relax. Friendly staff at De Weme and a menu with tasty food. Right in the middle of Borger, so take your time and let yourself be pleasantly surprised!

We went there for lunch. Mustard soup, croquettes, and a cappuccino sandwich. But we don't like mustard soup. Could we have tomato soup, which is also simply on the menu? NO, they wouldn't do that. "Then we'd be at it all day," said the young waiter. So we just ordered a tomato soup separately, which was very tasty. But after that, we went to the place next door for a croquette sandwich, because you couldn't order those separately. All in all, unsatisfactory for the service and waitstaff.

The menu doesn't offer an exceptional amount of choice, but the food that is there is particularly tasty. I thoroughly enjoyed that burger. Well done, everyone. It was also a cozy place.

We had a lovely time sitting outside on the terrace in the sun. After a visit to the Hunebed Museum, we enjoyed a delicious beer and lunch here. Nice, friendly service.

Four people enjoyed a delicious meal here, having the satay plate (portion was generous) and a very generous fish salad. Highly recommended. The only downside, according to one of our guests, was the coffee; it tasted like ditchwater.

We had a wonderful lunch on the terrace in the first spring sunshine of the year. A delicious farmer's omelette was served, and my son had two croquettes with fries instead of bread, which was no problem at all. Everything was perfectly arranged; the service was quick, efficient, and friendly. The restrooms right by the entrance are very convenient for our terrace customers, including cyclists, who don't have to walk through the entire restaurant. This reduces traffic and disruption inside.

Lunch was delicious. The brie sandwich was a bit underwhelming. A small bun. The drinks went wrong, which wasn't a problem in itself. But I don't think an apology would be a problem. A tip for next time. Otherwise, a neat place in a good location. We'll definitely be back.

We had the Black Angus burger for lunch today. It was truly delicious! A delicious burger with bacon and brie—it turned out to be a wonderfully tasty combination. However, we were a bit disappointed with the accompanying salad. It wasn't particularly special, with just a few lettuce leaves and dressing, but it also turned out to be quite wilted. It was definitely not good anymore! We also noticed that the plants and flowers were dry, the chairs needed replacing, and the teacups were quite worn. It gave me a bit of a faded-glory feeling. These kinds of things just need to be well-maintained. The staff were friendly!

We had a very bad experience at this restaurant. We wanted to enjoy a piece of cake. Upon entering, the smell of feces hit us immediately. The restroom is right next to the entrance. The first thing we smelled was feces instead of delicious coffee or cake. Fortunately, the restaurant area smelled fresh. We sat down and ordered a piece of cake and drinks. One piece of cake had a black hair from the staff on it. Our drink was also delivered incorrectly. Instead of "no sparkling," it was "sparkling." It can happen, of course, but if someone doesn't notice this in time, it can make them very ill if they can't tolerate it. So, it's absolutely essential to pay attention to what you serve. I should have estimated this restaurant a bit better. So, I feel quite disappointed.

We've been living in Schoonoord for six months now and love stopping by for a cup of coffee. We also bought a cookie from Vondelkoeken's website and asked if they sell those small round cookies, but they only serve them with your coffee. I celebrated my birthday here on November 22, 2025; I had booked a package. This was arranged very well: coffee, pastries, platters with various sausages and hot savory snacks, and drinks. Everything was served well; they regularly came to ask if there was enough, which was very nice, and everyone was satisfied. Keep up the good work.

During a midweek holiday in Borger, we ate on the terrace of restaurant Weme three times in the afternoon. We thoroughly enjoyed excellent dishes in the lovely sunshine. The beef stew was particularly good. Great beers and friendly, pleasant service. Worth repeating.

We ate there with two people. A fine meal with two types of vegetables, fried potatoes, and fries. Friendly staff, who asked during the meal if we had had enough. The price is on the high side considering the meal and the location. There is no dessert available under 10 euros.

Great restaurant! We were able to sit inside with our dogs and have lunch. The farmer's omelet was delicious, and going without bread wasn't a problem, and it was very filling. The staff is friendly and clean, and the restaurant has a nice atmosphere.

Lunch on the terrace. I wanted to pay inside, but was referred back to the waitress. Instead of politely asking where I'd been seated (no table number), I was given the bill for the wrong table. That can happen, of course, but instead of remaining polite, I was sneered at for staying where I was. Apparently, the staff shortage is so severe that customer service has fallen by the wayside.

The coffee was good, the apple pie was apparently treated with shrinkflation.

Got a cup of coffee here but the saucer under my coffee cup was broken from one side which is kinda disrespectful, I won’t drink coffee here any more 🤷🏻‍♂️

If you like hearing damage, you should definitely sit on their terrace. Loud music through huge speakers less than five meters away – wonderful, especially while eating. With a ringing in my ears I left my plate and left. Oh, and the toilets? As if they haven't been cleaned since last summer. Not recommended, unless you're a fan of noise and filth.

Super friendly and fast staff. The food gave us an 80s/90s vibe. It's fine but just like back home. The schnitzel was simple, probably pre-cooked, and the pepper sauce came from a packet, jar or bag a la Knorr, with a stray peppercorn here and there. The potatoes were overcooked, not crispy, a bit greasy and the ready-made spice mix was of the Aromat quality mixed with some paprika powder. Actually like they used to (fail) at your mother's house. The raw vegetables were delicious but the beans were so overcooked that they could just as well have come from a jar, only the different lengths made us suspect otherwise. The garnish on the beans with the crispy fried onions from a jar is not really inventive, something that grandma throws over it who discovered the ready-made fried onions for the first time. It's cute that the staff explicitly mentions this as a culinary variation, Grandma had to. Our bellies were full, plates and glasses empty, we had a nice meal at grandma's. (Grandma was stingy because we had to pay 70,-)

I was looking for a restaurant where our dog was also allowed in, this restaurant had no problem with that, good service.

Ordered chicken satay but still doubting whether it was chicken..? Meat was overcooked on the outside and raw on the inside here and there. The satay sauce was so watery and tasteless that I left it. When the girl at the checkout asked if everything was to my liking I said carefully, or tried because I was constantly interrupted with the comments that I should have indicated it earlier (no one came to ask in the meantime if it tasted good because then I could have said it didn't!), then they could have offered an alternative she said and yes I was really too late to complain after the meal and you have to pay you know...! And that in a tone that people around us could enjoy. No, sorry...not recommended.

Restaurant is fine, nice large windows so lots of light. . Friendly staff. Coffee tasty, but the brie sandwich for 12 euros was a brown emperor roll with 2 slices of brie and a few cashew nuts. So still hungry after lunch. A bit of a shame. So absolutely not satisfied with the price-quantity ratio.

Delicious meal for 4 people, and extremely friendly service! However, organizationally there is still some room for improvement, including damaged plates, washing-up stains on cutlery, asking from behind the flower box whether it tastes good, not serving (after twice) what people ask for, leaving empty plates for (too) long, serving dinner courses at the same time, etc. But nevertheless leaving the building satisfied 🤣

Despite the rainy weather, what a cozy restaurant! The fish salad was excellent: lots of eel and shrimp, fresh mixed lettuce. A real winner! The Angus burger was also excellent, nice and juicy, with a fair amount of mixed lettuce.

Goed restaurant in het centrum van Borger. We hadden eerder al iets op het terras gedronken en het zag er zo aantrekkelijk uit dat we ook een keer hier gedineerd hebben. Het eten was voortreffelijk.

I had eaten mustard soup here, the beer keg had so much mustard in it that it hurt my nose and there were tears in my eyes. Main course chicken fillet with cream cheese and bacon > chicken fillet was undercooked on the inside! Dessert > Drenthe coffee, which was really tasty with real whipped cream. Not really recommended!

After having a great walk in Borger, we came to this restaurant for a nice lunch. After taking a seat at a table and having had eye contact several times with the waitresses who were talking and laughing with each other, without doing anything, I walked over to ask for the menu. They said they would bring it to the table (after I said I didn't have much time). They finished their conversation laughing at first and then the card was placed on the table without any haste. Nothing was said and the waitress walked away without ordering a drink. It wasn't busy. After this inhospitable reception we decided to have a bite to eat elsewhere.

Still a super good restaurant for lunch or delicious coffee!

We were looking for a place where we could have lunch in Borger and ended up on the terrace of the Weme. Nice in the sun, under a parasol, excellent dishes, tasty mocktails. At the end of the annual excursion of the Groningen Eye Association, we also had dinner here with a group of about 20 people. It was very tasty, more than enough and I did not hear an unpleasant word at either table. Big compliment!
