Restaurant Roompot Hunzedal in Wijk 00 Borger

The service was good, and the food tasted delicious. However, the medium steak was rarer than medium, and we had to walk back and forth to the front because we were understaffed. We finished quite late, while other guests with small children and the three courses after us were finished faster. The chorizos were an insult to the dish as it should be.

Disinterested staff, so-called chef forgetting ingredients listed on the menu. A lousy display. It needs a complete overhaul.

The pub was affordable and cozy. We didn't go to the restaurant, but we did eat in the cafeteria. The food was good, but quite pricey for what you got. Eating out is much cheaper.

The ketchup was incredibly sour and the croquette was lukewarm. The spring rolls tasted like nothing but fried oil. The chili sauce was out of date and very bitter. There was also a loose soft serve ice cream melting in the disco dip container.

They work really slow at that snack bar, they also leave everything lying around like this

Unbelievably slow. Had to wait 20 minutes. No salt on the fries. Sauce next to the container. Chicken nuggets inedible and pricey for what you get.

We waited a very long time for our food. The sauce had been dumped next to the containers. The satay sauce was served cold. The spring rolls were inedible, completely soaked with grease, and tasted that way too. There was melted soft serve ice cream in the container with the disco dip. The fries had no salt and were very tough, tasting like cold fries. Some of us even had lukewarm fries. The croquette was lukewarm.

Good food, portions suitable for children. A bit limited in selection, but the service was very attentive and friendly.

Unfortunately, upon arrival, we immediately missed the mark with a somber welcome (well, that wasn't even an option from the waitstaff). We were immediately told that the restaurant wasn't currently open and weren't sure what pastries were available. After 15 minutes, it became clear that the kitchen was partially open, at least not at our neighbors' terrace, but not at ours. We picked up our own menu and asked a colleague what was going on. There was no clarity, as the menu indicated that there was no soup, but there was on the children's menu. So where did it go wrong? Unfortunately, the waitstaff was busier with the rest of the terrace, and after waving three times, we got up to ask if we could order. A cheese toastie was out of the question because they were pre-made and baked with both cheese and ham. The kitchen staff were at least much friendlier. However, the waitstaff themselves were quite inattentive, putting cutlery in the middle of the table and angrily placing new drinks down – perhaps not very smart in the hospitality industry. At least the coffee was good. It's a shame to break up your holiday/day off and birthday like this.

Okay, but about 30 minutes later, just before closing time, the tables (which were free when we asked) were still free! Apparently, the restaurant doesn't need to make money! What a shame!!!

Highly recommended! Yes, it's not priced at a chip shop, but that's clearly evident in the quality and service. We caught a schnitzel day, and the Hawaiian schnitzel was a real treat. It was absolutely amazing! As always, this is just our personal opinion based on our impressions of this evening on May 30, 2025.

February 10th: A traditional Dutch café, relaxed seating, friendly service, and delicious, high-quality food! February 13th: It was great again tonight! Delicious salmon, and the service was excellent. Highly recommended!!

Price performance absolutely top

Ordered food for 6 people to take to the house in the park. Including 2 pizzas. 1 of them had clearly come out of the oven first and not been kept warm. Equal timing with the 'frying department' could also be better. the pizzas had been on the bar for 5 minutes before the rest was replenished. The first pizza was cold/lukewarm when we ate it and this 'piccanto' had little to no taste. Let alone spicy. Everything is quite expensive for what you get.

We were there for a children's party but we did not feel entirely welcome. They also forgot 2 x poffertjes and a drink.

Useless and Incompetent staff in the bar. Refused to clean tables. Kept saying they would but didn’t. I went here on the friday 26th April 2024 and the service and food was good. But on Saturday 27th April it was different staff and they were absolutely incompetent! They ruined the day.

Waited 45 minutes for a snack, croquette and fries. While it was very quiet. There was only 1 person in front of me

On Boxing Day, due to a miscommunication, we have to wait an hour at the park for an employee who is not present at the park. Outside, without a key to the house, with two small children. We ask if we can let our children play in the indoor playground for as long as possible. No, this is not allowed, Boxing Day is only for reservations. It makes sense that we couldn't get a table. But waiting an hour due to circumstances is not allowed, where is the Christmas spirit here on Boxing Day? Quite antisocial in the literal sense

Top restaurant. Super friendly conditions. Mega child-friendly with its own playroom for the little ones. More than recommended for families. The food was plentiful and fairly priced. Always my pleasure.

The plaza is not as good as center Parks Swimming pool is quite dirty, fries, tasty pizza

Many rooms could use a general update. It all looks quite a bit tired, but it doesn't detract from the service you get. All very friendly staff who are always there for you. Nice meal.

Prima gegeten voor een prima prijs. Kaart niet heel spannend of bijzonder maar we hadden trek. Leuke vlotte bediening en haar oranje blouse maakte de avond af!

Vind het eten een vijfje en een uurtje moeten wachten op ons eten.

Eigenlijk twee sterren maar de bediening was erg vriendelijk en er was een bakje water voor de hond. Echter had ik de spareribs besteld maar geen idee wat ik proefde. Was het vlees??

Lekker eten, maar helaas onderbemand. Het personeel doet hun uiterste best en lopen erg hard, maar toch is het lang wachten en grote kans om over het hoofd gezien te worden.

Goed eten goede prijs. Service normaal, ambiance idem. Cappuccino niet wat ik gewend ben van een grand cafe / eetcafe. Zelfs de Starbucks uit de automaat is vele malen beter dan wat er hier wordt geserveerd. Ik vermoed DE koffie gezien de logo's op de koffiekoppen, maar kon dit nergens elders terugvinden.

Prima gegeten, vriendelijke attente bediening

We hadden online gereserveerd vanuit onze stacaravan op het park, netjes onthaald etc, vriendelijk personeel. Enkel vonden we persoonlijk de kaart vrij sober om uit te kiezen, we herinneren ons een aantal jaren geleden dat we hier zo'n lopend buffet hadden gedaan en hadden eerlijk gezegd dit vandaag ook verwacht, dat gezegd zijnde was zoals eerder aangegeven de kaart niet zo uitgebreid. Wat we kregen was dan weer zeer lekker, zeker de stoverij was echt om je vingers bij af te likken.

Het bier was lauw, de gebakken aardappelen waren gekookt in het vet(niet knapperig) , patat was lekker, vlees (tournedo) waren 2 stukjes. Weinig maar wel erg lekker. Het toilet wordt was redelijk schoon. Volgens schema wordt er maar 1x per dag gereinigd... klopt vast niet.

Schönes Ambiente gemütlich die Abende ausklingen zu lassen

Heerlijk wezen eten in het restaurant op park hunzendal in Borger. Mogelijkheid tot kleinere portie, maar ook grote portie word zeer gewaardeerd. Stoofpotje draadjesvlees was uitstekend met toebehoren. Personeel zeer vriendelijk en vlot in de bediening. Kom graag nog eens terug als we weer in Drenthe zijn.

Erg goed, heel lekker draadjes vlees op. En toe roomijs metkniepertjes mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
