In the restaurant, there were seating areas with various chairs. Our reserved seats had chairs my wife found uncomfortable to sit on. Her chair was immediately replaced with a "more comfortable" one. Very considerate, wasn't it? As the restaurant's name suggests, mainly "chicken" is served, but the menu features surprisingly many more dishes than just that. Steak, prawns, spare ribs... We had a delicious meal, the service was polite, the prices were good, and there was no rush. Worth repeating...

Large portions for good prices in 2026. The chicken piri piri is highly recommended. I've eaten here 3 times already and it's always just as good. Quite dark inside and boiling hot in the summer. Keep this in mind for the elderly or pregnant women.

On 24/6/2026, we made a reservation and went out to eat with my family. The downside was that the terrace was full and there was no air conditioning or fans inside, making it unpleasant to eat because it was so stuffy that you would actually want to leave quickly. So, it wasn't nice that there were no fans available for the guests who had to sit inside.

We had dinner with my wife on Saturday evening. What was very disappointing were the fries and the chicken piri piri; they were very dry! We reported this as well. I hope they have taken this to heart and will do something about it. We did not get that impression. Following this review, we were contacted in a very polite manner. Our previous experience at Juffrouw Tok during a holiday last year was very positive. That is why we were very disappointed this time. The whole place is old-fashioned and neglected. The toilets were dirty... they really should be checked occasionally during a busy evening. The very young, friendly staff are working their socks off. The food was good.

What a cozy restaurant! The food was delicious. Super friendly service. We started with bitterballen (Dutch meatballs). Soup and carpaccio were the starters, and chicken (of course) was the main course. The steak here is also very tasty, by the way. And the fries... divine. For dessert, a delicious combination of ice cream, eggnog, and whipped cream. My husband had a dame blanche. It all looked delicious, and it tasted just as good. We'll be back!

We spent a weekend at the Ruwinkel estate park and chose a nearby restaurant for our first evening. The atmosphere was very pleasant, and for a Thursday evening, the restaurant was very busy. We had made reservations, and apparently, for the usual times around 6:00 PM and 7:00 PM, they were necessary! The service was friendly and efficient. We opted for the chicken schnitzel and the three-course menu. Although vegetable soup is on the menu, there's also a chicken soup option, which wasn't really a surprise at this restaurant :-) The piri piri was a surprise for me. Crispy chicken wings, delicious, and certainly not too spicy. My butcher usually gets chicken pieces in a spicy sauce, but this was a different experience. Finally, we enjoyed a scoop of vanilla ice cream with real whipped cream. We had a wonderful meal and a wonderful time.

I was really looking forward to the piri piri chicken, which the website claims is made with "fresh, free-range chickens from the Netherlands: not too big (so they stay tender when grilling) and not fatty." But what I picked up didn't live up to my expectations. The chicken pieces had bone fragments and were definitely not tender. Too bad! The salad I ordered was nice and crunchy and fresh, though. UPDATE: Miss Tok Scherpenzeel gave me another chance! This time I got chicken pieces again (because that's the concept), but this time without bone fragments and more tender than the first time. So I probably just got a bad chicken the first time.

The food was fine, not exceptional, but good. The quantity was also fine. The service was very polite and fast. The only real downside is that pets are allowed, which I personally find unacceptable for a restaurant. Assistance dogs are allowed, of course, but there were several dogs present, and they certainly didn't stay quiet during the meal. Hence the 3 stars.

THE!!! My girlfriend and I's favorite chicken restaurant. What a great place! I remember Juffrouw Tok from "back in the day," but we come here monthly now. We always order the medium portion of Piri Piri Chicken and a delicious dessert. Usually the Dame Blanche, and my partner the sorbet. Besides the standard chicken portions, there are plenty of other dishes to choose from, but if you come here, we think you should go for the chicken ;). The price is great, usually around €50.00 for the two of us. Always save up for the stickers if you come often for a discount! We're always greeted warmly, and they know us as regulars by now, hahahaha, so you're doing well ;) See you next time!

Had dinner with my son (2) and wife. Unfortunately, we had to wait over an hour, which was a bit too much for my son. The food was "okay," my wife really liked the spare ribs, the fries weren't great, but "okay." There was a nice toy for my son, it looked fun. We won't be going back to this restaurant in the future.

I once walked here and was drawn by the delicious aromas. Finally, I went for dinner. But it was a bit of a disappointing evening. Despite having made a reservation well in advance and the beautiful weather, we couldn't sit outside. Inside, it was relatively quiet with guests, but unfortunately, not with flies. They were literally everywhere. After asking a few times, we were given a small wheel to keep them away. Our first drink was quickly taken and brought. After that, it took a very long time for our order to be taken. Quite strange, since there seemed to be more than enough staff around. We ordered a menu. The chicken soup wasn't anything special, but the piri piri chicken was very tasty. After we'd finished eating, it took another incredibly long time for someone to come over. "Did we want dessert now?" "Yes, please, because we're waiting quite a while, and a cup of tea for someone who doesn't want ice cream." Then the wait began again. Dessert arrived after a good 20 minutes, and we wondered why it had taken so long. One scoop of ice cream with a dollop of whipped cream. The tea wasn't included, but it was supposed to be brought out immediately. After everyone had finished their ice cream, there was still no tea. This despite almost the entire staff being chatting at the bar. It was time for us to pay.

Lekkere smakelijke maiskolven vd grill erbij en rauwkostsalade was knapperig, vers met een goede dressing. De sorbets als toetje ook een aanrader. Geen idee waar sommige slechte recensies vandaan komen. Gaan zeker een keertje terug.

Great staff. Everything is perfect. The food was great, the chicken was so tender and not dry, juicy, the herbs on the chicken were great. The best Miss Tok of all cannot match the other Miss Tok. Those chefs there and the kitchen staff are gold.

Good and cheap restaurant / bistro on a holiday park. Simple menu with many chicken dishes. The young and friendly staff is attentive and fast. Chicken predominates on the menu. In the kitchen, the chicken is cooked over a charcoal fire. The dishes are reasonably priced. The restaurant is spacious and the two large (gas) fireplaces burn pleasantly. It is a nice family restaurant. Parking is nearby and free (with charging stations for electric cars).

Het is een heel erg gezellig restaurant, in een oude boerderij, met zelfs (veilige) haardvuren tussen de tafels. We hebben echt heerlijk gegeten en de borden waren goed gevuld en lekker patat of rijst erbij. Ook de bijgerechten waren heel lekker. Ook de nagerechten waren heerlijk. Het personeel was ook heel vriendelijk, serveerde netjes en kwam heel fijn af en toe vragen of alles naar wens was. Mijn dochter en schoonzoon willen vaker komen eten. Ik woon zelf in Emmen, maar volgend jaar zijn we weer op vakantie in de regio en komen dan zeker ook weer!

Lekkere kip. Maar dat wij met ons tweeën 50 minuten hebben moeten wachten op twee schaaltjes kip, bakje friet en salade, dat begrijp ik niet goed. Toen wij binnen kwamen waren 4 tafeltjes bezet. Dus ..... wat was het probleem. Dit wel aangegeven bij de ober die ons bediende. Keurige hardwerkende gast. Zijn overige 6 collega's stonden of hingen aan de bar leuk te doen. Deze ober leek als enige de opdracht te hebben gekregen om de gasten te bedienen, ook toen het drukker werd was hij de harde werker in het veld. De rest had het erg druk met mooi wezen, telefoontje kijken en vooral heen en weer lopen. Wellicht iets voor het management om hier iets meer aandacht of training aan te geven.

So you have to order 2x piri. This is the most special thing I have ever heard. You decide for yourself how much you eat, right? Even if I order half a chicken with 8 people, it is completely up to me/us. When I announced that I would eat somewhere else, we were finally allowed to take 1x piri piri xl this time. But the fun was over and in the end I didn't eat well at all. Next time we'll drive a lot closer and have a nice meal with the egg in Barneveld.

We had a promotion brochure for the 2nd 3-course chicken piri piri menu for free. Asked in advance if we wanted a sandwich, we did. The discount brochure was seen and grabbed by the waitress. Menu consisted of soup, piri piri chicken and ice cream. She asked if we wanted the piri piri on the chicken or separately. Main course arrived, without the soup beforehand. She then came to us for dessert, I say that is part of the menu, I made the wrong decision and the 2nd 3 course menu was no longer possible. We could order an ice cream, but then had to pay for it ourselves. The whole idea of ​​the second 3 course menu being free was of course gone. The option of only the 2nd main course for free was offered but no other solution. For us this was not a solution at all because the fault was not ours. The chicken was tasty but the service was very poor. Very unfortunate, but we will never return here!

Four of us ate here. The restaurant is nicely decorated and the service pays attention to its guests. They serve a nice house wine and after ordering you have to be patient because we believe the dishes are prepared after ordering become. In terms of choice, there are not many options other than chicken dishes. We had a stew, schnitzel and 2 Piri Piri chicken, 1 of which was extra spicy, with a glass of chili oil if it wasn't spicy enough. After some desserts, we went to our bungalow to relax for a while.

We regularly visit various Miss Tok branches. Miss Tok Scherpenzeel seriously has the most tender piri piri chicken I have ever eaten. Portions are generous, choice of tasty side dishes. The service was fine. In terms of atmosphere, there may still be something to be gained from Miss Tok Scherpenzeel.

Juffrouw tok altijd 5 sterren al lijkt t of de piri piri extra pittig niet meer echt zo pittig is als t was. Maar ook zonder dat is het nog zeer goed eten.

Hier hebben wij 2keer met onze kleinkinderen gegeten. Echt heel lekker en naar tevredenheid en betaalbaar. Kip piri piri is echt goed. Personeel is nog niet echt allemaal ervaren maar dat komt wel goed. Een goede tip voor het personeel: Besteedt ff aandacht aan het spaarsysteem en bied het aan elke bezoeker die betaald want in ons geval hebben ze het zegels sparen maar 1 keer aangeboden op de 2de avond, terwijl wij vaker in Scherpenzeel komen.
