I have nothing but good things to say about the event planning team at Kazerne! They helped me to create my dream birthday celebration in just under 3 weeks. The food was delicious and i got so many positive comments from the other guests. Thanks again to Esme, Bram, Thijs and Eva for helping everything come together so smoothly.

We tried the surprise menu (4 courses). The taste and presentation were good. Not very surprising or a real signature. The only strange thing is that we asked for a bread roll to eat during and between courses (bread is not placed on the table by default), and they put a bread board with spreads on the table and charged for the same (€9.50). The service was nice. The setting is industrial, a bit cold in terms of atmosphere. The location and building are used for a wide range of purposes (hotel, bar, meetings, exhibition). Definitely worth a visit.

I got accepted after kitchen was closed and still got served hot delicious food. So 5⭐️ for the service! There is a nice selection of international wine. Mix of Italian and Asian food.

Great ambiance, but the cuisine is disappointing. In terms of atmosphere and design, this is a fantastic place to be. The establishment in the center of Eindhoven looks beautiful, featuring art and a lovely open kitchen (although the acoustics could still use some improvement). Unfortunately, the taste experience fell far short here. The three-course menu was very meager, and the red snapper was lukewarm upon serving. For a main course, you expect something more than a dollop of mashed potatoes and a piece of carrot. A stunning location, but the quality of the cuisine lagged far behind.

I love the vibe and the place; the team is the best ever (I don’t think I’ve ever felt so welcome and genuinely cared for), and even though the food is already top-notch—rumor has it there’s more to come. I’ve already had a little taste of the Michelin-star-inspired, sharing-style cuisine, and I can’t wait for my next visit. Highly recommended.

What a unique place. The courtyard is a hidden gem in Eindhoven. We have been to ByDay during the day before and now tried dinner. The new chef had created a special menu for us. Highly recommended! Also great for drinks with friends.

For the monthly evening with 12 friends from construction society “Zorgeloos bouwen,” I had made a reservation in the restaurant’s atmospheric garden. A lovely summer evening in this Eindhoven “hidden gem,” marking the start of the summer holidays and the construction industry’s “construction break.” The new head chef surprised us with an original and varied 3-course menu, served with the necessary personal attention by the team. Truly good value for money. And for our “club” of local foodies, it is highly recommended for another visit in the early autumn. Thanks and see you soon!

I went to eat at Kazerne last week, it has a great atmosphere, excellent food, and very friendly service. Stylish yet relaxed, and definitely a place I’d recommend for a nice dining experience in Eindhoven. Btw the chardonnay was fantastic with the cod i had.

Apparently kissing makes the waitress uncomfortable so beware of any display of love in this place, cause you're "still in public"! p. s. The place was completely empty (now I understand why), also mediocre choice of wines. :)

We had a really nice dinner with my boyfriend. The food was was delicious, we ordered the chef’s choice menu and were very pleased with it. The service was fast and the waiters were polite and we had nice conversations with them. We would definitely like to go again!

We had 4 course Valentin's Day meal. Overall taste was good. However eventhough they have a fixed menu on that day, they forgot to serve 2nd course and brought the main course.

An amazing place with a unique atmosphere housed in a former military police barrack from 1825 in the city centre of Eindhoven. It is a venue where you can enjoy a variety of experiences. It is not only a restaurant but also an hotel and an art exhibition space. The restaurant with open kitchen is very large and has a beautiful interior with a special designed lighting. Only one negative remark: the temperature in the dining area was not ideal: it was a bit too chilly. Menu with limited choice but a good variety of vegetarian, meat and seafood dishes. All dishes were carefully prepared, beautifully served and truly delicious. I especially loved the veggie Savoy Cabbage dish and the fried eggplant. For dessert we had the tiramisu (my favorite dessert) and the Mille Feuille which were both exquisite!

We tried on a business dinner four course menu. Kind of dull and ordinary. Presentation and service was OK, but food needs major improvement.

The ambiance is truly beautiful, and the open kitchen is impressive. Unfortunately, the food and service experience fell far short of what you'd expect at this price point. The food was served even though the new cutlery and matching wine were still missing. Furthermore, little was said about the wine and food pairing. I honestly still have no idea what I drank. My main course, meat, was far too well-done, while my partner's was perfectly rosé. That difference is striking and unbecoming of a restaurant of this caliber. Furthermore, there was a huge pile of arugula on the plate, making the dish awkward to eat and barely visible. Unfortunately, the dessert was so poor that we left it. When we asked what brand of coffee the staff had, they didn't know. That happens, but you expect someone to check. Management really needs to make some adjustments here, because the location and ambiance are too beautiful to detract from the overall experience.

Disappointing. We found the ambiance to be very nice, with a friendly waiter who honestly admitted he didn't know anything about wine. In our opinion, it's unacceptable if you're a Gault Millau expert. The side dish didn't arrive without bread, so we didn't put it on the table. The portion sizes were very different from the main course. Dessert was a huge disappointment; we didn't eat either, and we gave feedback to the waiter. The chef then glared at us instead of asking what the feedback was. She had plenty of time because only two tables were occupied and they were cleaning. The price-quality ratio is completely out of proportion. Disappointment. We also contacted the restaurant directly online, but no response was received, which speaks volumes.

It was our first time at this restaurant. Despite the fact that the young people were very friendly, the service was subpar. The food was very good, especially the vegetarian dishes. It was a shame the side dishes didn't arrive, so we ended up canceling them. It's a bit odd to get a side dish with dessert, isn't it? The atmosphere of the restaurant (a large, empty gray box with curtains) made it difficult to relax and just think: "Okay, let's eat and then leave..." Too bad. Some of the staff simply didn't know what to do, which is really unacceptable considering the prices charged for each course. The wine tasting is mostly symbolic, but it's definitely part of the experience when ordering a bottle of wine. And if you're also sitting in a dark, cold, and uninviting space... No, sorry, unfortunately, we won't be back.

Fantastic meals, top quality service, inspiring surroundings

This was our 5th time at the restaurant and the quality has really gone down unfortunately. We haven’t came for a few months and we knew the experience would be positively the same. However, 90% of their dishes changed in quality and flavor COMPLETELY, as well as service. We ordered appetizers which were great but the carbonara and tiramisu were a shame. I don’t care about high prices but for the high standards they portray, the food should also be at that level. Pasta was so overcooked it was like a paste, no solt at all, burned guanciale, no sauce at all and the tiramisu was so overly “modernized” it had a similar taste to a normal tiramisu but texture and portion size left us disappointed. We tried both dishes months before and they were absolutely wonderful, tiramisu especially was a huge classic slice before and it was phenomenal

The terrace is beautiful, right in the heart of the city yet with a setting that makes you feel completely relaxed and like you're in France. My main course, sea bass, was delicious. The dessert was okay, but not quite as good as the sea bass.

I always love coming back here – beautiful location, lovely atmosphere, and it really deserves a higher rating than it currently has. It's just a shame the carpaccio with raw mushrooms has disappeared from the menu. It was delicious!

What a fantastic location! A truly lovely spot for a relaxed and delicious dinner. It has a beautiful courtyard where you're completely secluded from the hustle and bustle. Inside, it's also beautiful, and it's great that there are some art projects on display. The service is relaxed and friendly, and the music is nice too. The food is beautifully presented, but the taste doesn't quite live up to its looks. Only the dessert really impressed. There's a good selection of tasty beers, and the wines are excellent.

We came in with high hopes, but unfortunately, the experience fell drastically short—especially the 4-course menu, which was a major disappointment. The starter arrived even before our drinks did, and while that may sound efficient, it only highlighted the chaos of the service flow. The second and third courses each took over an hour to arrive, stretching what should’ve been a smooth dinner into a frustrating waiting game. The main course was the biggest letdown of all. To this day, I couldn’t tell you what kind of meat it was—if you could even call it that. It was a large slab of fat with a few bits of undercooked meat clinging to it. As for the sides: literally two miserable wedges of potato. That was it. To make matters worse, I actually had to get a croquette afterwards just to satisfy my hunger. The only reason I’m giving this place two stars instead of one is the staff—they were genuinely friendly and tried their best despite the circumstances.

A lot of money for little. For this money it was not as special as you would expect. Quality of the chef's menu was medium. Lamb was tough. Went home hungry. Beautiful place. Extensive menu.

Hidden gem in the centre of Eindhoven, with a big bright sunny terrace in contrast to the all black designer interior And not as gouged as people might think! Menu has a broad range of high quality food made by talented chefs ranging from tasty pastas to bites to well prices 3, 4 and 5 course menus. Definitely worth checking out whether you are local to Eindhoven or just visiting!

¡Fue una fiesta maravillosa! Tuvimos una persona con celíaco en nuestra fiesta y se hizo mal para ella! Además no son un lugar totalmente libre de gluten, salieron de allí para proporcionar una cena sin gluten para uno de nosotros y el pensamiento de todo en sí mismos (sé. v café un chocolate especial en lugar de una galleta) El resto de la fiesta quedó muy sorprendido por la calidad de la comida y la decoración muy agradable de la comida. El admosfeer en el restaurante era bueno, un personal muy servicial y amable! ¡Volvemos otra vez!

This place is the kind where you are going to pay 10€ for drink public tap water. Is too expensive for the quality. We order a Christmas Menu of 5 dishes, only one of them related with sea was saved, all other was not reach our expectations. I do not recommend due to the cost, is too expensive and is not good quality, based at the flavour and mix of the ingredients at the disshes.

Een unieke plek om uit te gaan eten waar je ook wat kunst kan snuiven. Menu en gerechten zijn geweest, maar niet alles ons beviel. Vlees in het hoofdgerecht was lekker gekruid, maar had best veel pezen die je ondertussen moest wegsneden. Over het algemeen het eten was dus niet afdoende tot die prijsklasse.

Average food. 5 course surprise from the chef, but nothing special that really stood out. Service is nice but not surprising. Price too high for the quality you get.

Very average to poor. Management is really worthless. Very informal, know nothing, everything you order you have to point to on the menu with your finger because they have no idea. Very slow and you have to keep calling them. It was only 20% full, so I'm curious to see how it will go when it's full. Ultimately paid 90 euros per person for very mediocre food. So not for us anymore.

Just had a drink in the courtyard and viewed the beautiful exhibitions in the Barracks. Friendly service on the terrace and a very nice atmosphere. The shop that comes with it is also more than worth it. A location to always return to when we visit DDW.

Special environment, very industrial, which corresponds well with expectations. The menu is promising but the preparation of the food is a bit poor. Bland and flat is probably the best approximation of our experience of this. Take the lackluster service, which was good, but does not fit in this environment... long way to go

Delicious food in an industrial setting with attentive service. As a Belgian, it is nice to see that wines in the Netherlands are only multiplied by 2, while in Belgium they are easily multiplied by 3.

After seeing on the site they are able to handle food allergies, specifically gluten, I was so excited to come here. I called & confirmed with a host that they could provide gluten free meals, wrote it in my reservation notes while booking, confirmed with the staff when we were seated, & made sure to mention it again while ordering. I was very impressed with how seriously they handled allergies, or so I thought. When another server brought bread for the table & our main server noticed the gluten free bread was touching the other bread, she ordered new bread & brought it immediately. I was so impressed! We had the buratta starter which was great, but issues came when our meal arrived. Upon setting down my plate, the same server who brought the bread said "gluten free" as she placed my meal. However, after I had eaten about half, our main server came back to our table & let us know that my meal was not in fact gluten free & that the chef had made a mistake. They offered to make me another meal to try but I didn't really want to eat more from their kitchen after this. They did take my meal off of our bill, which was the bare minimum they could do to fix things. Food allergies are serious and should be handled with much more care. I spent the rest of the night and following day incredibly sick and in pain. If you say you can manage food allergies, you need to be much more careful. In addition to the issue with the gluten, the risotto was severely undercooked, the steak did have good flavour but had clearly been sitting for awhile before it was served to us. The burratta was great. Our main server was also great, she felt horrible & tried to fix things but it was too late.

Mixed feelings, nice place with good and friendly atmosphere, we did fall in love with appetizers ( steak tartare, gratinated scallops) but the main dishes was pretty disappointing. The food was bland, it lacked seasoning.

Amazing space and service. Where arts meet culinary experiences. Started: burrata and artichoke flan (so good), caramelle with steak and sage butter (so good) and tiramisu (so good). Offered my friend chocolate truffles for her birthday! You can wander around the exhibition with a glass of wine, I recommend!

Kazerne is not your regular restaurant. It’s located inside an exhibition space, so you dine surrounded by art - inside and outside your plate. Kazerne specializes on Italian cuisine with a modern twist, the best risotto and pasta with truffles we’ve ever had! It’s a real explosion of flavours. The staff deserves separate praise - the friendliest waiters and hostess we’ve met in the Netherlands. Highly recommend!

Today was my second time at KAZERNE. I wanted to make it as special dinner for my wife and I. Bread and butter as a little appetizer? All tables around us, except us. Maybe because we did not order a whole menu?! The starter was more like a cheap little and it was also not nicely decorated. The negative highlights has been the vegan main dish (see picture). No taste, a bit of sweet potatoes, a pumpkin and vegan hasslenut sauce. OMG, so bad! But 27 EUR! Crazy! Seems to be the dish with the highest margin on the menu. Thanks to the service! They offered an alternative vegetarian dish. But: all in all a big disappointment! I except way more in such a price range.

Prachtig land, vriendelijk personeel, maar wat een enorm slecht eten zeg. Van het hoofdgerecht was alleen het vlees en de saus warm, de puree koud, de aardpeer praktisch ongekookt en de pastinaak slechts voor de helft gekookt. Als toetje nog nooit zo’n slechte chocolademousse gehad en de peertjes kwamen recht uit blik en het vocht ervan zorgde ervoor dat de nootjes helemaal zompig werden. Al met al een grote teleurstelling, bij een doorsnee bistro is het eten van een hoger niveau!

We ordered 3 dishes: the fried calamari + Caramello pasta were great. The langoustine risotto was average. Overall a positive experience, very nice atmosphere and good service. Well worth the visit.

We choose the 4 dish menu (chefs choice) and everything was really good. Our favourite dish was the Lagostini risotto. First restaurant in Eindhoven where they bring you bread and butter as a starter, and it Delicious. A special thank you to all the staff. Everyone was so happy and polite that I felt we were friends by the end of the dinner. Thanks for the anniversary gift ❤️

Very interesting place with an industrial atmosphere. The plates offered are great with a big variety. The service was good, the waitress very polite.

We waren er met Glow : bediening slecht , keuken was chaos , na 2 uur nog geen hoofdgerecht, gevraagd aan ober die zei dat het een complete meltdown was in de keuken !! Zijn absoluut niet geschikt voor drukke avonden We hebben dus geen hoofdgerecht gehad want de rekening gevraagd.

Zo slecht. Het personeel inclusie de eigenaresse kijkt over en door je heen. Rond borreluur alleen bezig met iedereen zenuwachtig wegsturen. Of: ik stuur iemand. Die komt dan “ nooit”. Terwijl ik hier service en vriendelijkheid verwacht en op zijn minst een begroeting qua oogcontact
