We had a wonderful Christmas meal. Absolutely fantastic. Everything was delicious. Enjoyed it.

Good service and you can enjoy delicious food and a pleasant atmosphere on the terrace overlooking the harbour.

What a wonderful evening, completely pampered and a party from start to finish. A lovely atmosphere where we could easily hear each other despite the pleasantly busy atmosphere. Our dogs were even welcome. The food was delicious! The service was cheerful, quick, and friendly! The hostess was incredibly attentive and truly hospitable. In short, a place to return to! Delicious food at super reasonable prices and truly generous portions! Oh, and don't forget the coffee afterward, because even that's a treat in itself! Thank you for this experience! We will cherish it for a long time!

There are three of us sitting in this cozy harborside restaurant. The service is incredibly friendly. You're literally pampered. The food was delicious, and the variety of vegetables and potato side dishes is both delightful and surprising. There's a wide selection of meat, fish, and vegetarian dishes, all affordably priced.

The kindness and service you experience here are rare. The food is fantastic. High-quality ingredients, well-prepared dishes, and portions that are more than enough. All in all, fantastic!

Reservation via WhatsApp on Thursday, September 25, 2025, at 6:00 PM. We chose a starter, main course, and dessert, and everything was delicious. The server was very friendly. The wait time between courses was quite long. The single server wasn't distracted by anything; at the table opposite sat a couple with two small children, to whom she devoted a great deal of time. You could tell they knew each other. We still didn't have our wine, but you're not on the run. Apparently, dogs are always allowed in restaurants in Zeeland. So apparently, it wasn't a problem here either. A couple with two "giant dogs" (the dog owners also brought two large blankets) were allowed to sit right by the door and were constantly annoying the neighboring table. It's a good thing we were seated a little further away. Absolutely unacceptable... The wine was delicious, so we reordered. This took a very long time, and they refilled my glass at the table, and I spilled a lot. "Oh, unfortunately, something went wrong."...sure...it happens. I've experienced (I think I'm a somewhat inexperienced restaurant customer) people looking in the old glass from the bottle. Primitive...clearly less washing up for the restaurant. Conclusion: Top-notch food...despite a few shortcomings in our opinion...full marks.

We ate here for the second time tonight. It was absolutely delicious again!! Amuse-bouche as a starter... bread with delicious spreads as an extra... Very affordable prices... Our dog was even welcome to come along. Fast, efficient service. Excellent! We'd love to come back again.

A cozy and well-maintained restaurant by the harbor in Brouwershaven. We enjoyed delicious mussels fresh from Lake Grevelingen. The mussels were served with a delicious salad, fresh fries, and sauces. For dessert, we had a delicious ice cream sorbet, served with fresh fruit, chocolate sauce, and/or eggnog. We truly enjoyed the quality of the food and the prompt and friendly service. We'll definitely be back!

During work, we wanted to have lunch somewhere, and this restaurant had a good reputation, so the decision was easy. As we walked there, a defenseless little bird lay on the street. My idea was to have the animal ambulance come and pick it up at this restaurant, since we wanted to have lunch there anyway. All I needed was a box and a table on the patio, where there was plenty of room. I suggested this to the waiter (presumably the owner), but the answer was: "Do you think I have time for that?!" I believe you should always help a person or animal in need! We immediately left; I wouldn't sit at a restaurant like that. Luckily, it was across from a surf shop where the animal ambulance could go to pick up the little bird. We ended up at Cafeteria t'Koepeltje in Scharendijke, where we had a great meal, by the way! Fresh fries!

We've loved this beautifully located restaurant on the harbor for years. During the warmer months, it has a large terrace right by the Brouwershaven marina. A great, not-too-extensive menu, a monthly changing three-course menu of the finest, and all for an unbeatable €28.50. The price/performance ratio is also absolutely perfect. There's ALWAYS a choice of three dips with bread and an amuse-bouche to start your meal. The food is excellent; I've been there regularly several times over the past four years, and everything has always been perfect. Reservations are recommended, as the restaurant is very busy during the holidays. It's closed on two days, Monday and Tuesday.

At first, there was no staff, so we found our own table. Since another dog was already present, it seemed better to keep some distance from the table. Unfortunately, this meant that we were limited to a table for two in full sun. When the drinks were brought, we politely asked if she could open the parasol for us. The lady made an angry face and said no. We could have sat in the shade. Completely astonished, I said she was being rather unfriendly. She then retorted harshly that it wasn't she, but we ourselves who were unfriendly. We had simply come out onto the terrace, where there was a sign outside saying we should wait. We had chosen a table in full sun and now we would like the parasol opened. The other guests would like to enjoy the sun. Horrified, I handed back the menu, explaining that we would probably be better off having lunch somewhere else. Yes, you better do that, although you're probably not going to have a good day. What was particularly bad was that she persistently insisted on us not writing a review. If we did, she would respond by saying we weren't telling the truth. Horrified, we paid, then she told us to vacate the space as quickly as possible and leave.

What a lovely spot by the harbor with a shady spot. After cycling 45 km, I was thirsty and hungry. It's always a bummer when your Coke ends up in a 200ml bottle, what's that like in the Netherlands? We saw many delicious-looking sandwiches go by. But the kibbeling we ordered was awful—not fresh, not homemade, and served lukewarm—a real shame.

Last week I was back at restaurant De Plezanterie in Brouwershaven, and as always, it was a treat. I regularly come here with a friend, and it's always a hit. The terrace is a wonderful place to sit, especially on a beautiful day. The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting, making you want to linger a while. The menu is extensive and offers something for everyone, but the fish salad really stands out for me – super fresh and full of flavor. The food is worth it every time. The plates are generously presented, it looks beautiful, and tastes just as good. You can taste the care and love put into the dishes. In short: I always enjoy eating here and enjoy it every time. Restaurant De Plezanterie is the kind of place you keep coming back for – and I definitely will.

A big, well, apple pie was okay. We didn't get a menu today, but were given a choice between strawberry pie and apple pie. The drinks menu was missing a coffee, which of course didn't arrive until later, after the apple pie had already been opened 😂 whatever. The waitress just didn't feel like working, but she had to 🫣. Conclusion: OK, but I wouldn't recommend it. Worst apple pie on vacation.

We had a wonderful meal on the cozy terrace with our entire Roompt/Landal TD team. Service was smooth and smiling, despite the restaurant being so busy. Hats off!

We've been turned away twice already (with the excuse that everything was reserved) – even though we only wanted a coffee each time and we couldn't even say so. A very unfriendly manager immediately dismissed us. We will definitely not be returning to this restaurant or recommending it. And judging by their comments – well, I expected nothing less – because a good restaurant isn't just about good food – it's also about friendliness.

On Thursday we unexpectedly went to eat with our partner at La Plaisanterie. We had made a reservation a few hours in advance. A reservation is always made inside, but upon arrival you can also choose to sit on the terrace. The terrace overlooks the marina. Inside the restaurant you can feast your eyes on the mural of regional celebrities. The menu is extensive. The choice was carpaccio and a fish salad as a starter. The main course was a tournedos and lamb tenderloin. Still impressed by the entire entourage, the plates were quickly empty (certainly not due to the size of the portions) so unfortunately we forgot to take pictures. Very fair pricing and an owner who has it well under control! Small tip... make a reservation, because it can be busy.

Op donderdag onverwachts met partner gaan eten bij La Plaisanterie. We hadden een paar uur van te voren gereserveerd. Er wordt altijd een reservering binnen geboekt, maar bij aankomst kun je ook de keuze maken om op het terras aan te schuiven. Het terras kijkt uit over de jachthaven. Binnen in het restaurant kijk je je ogen uit over de muurschildering van regionale bekendheden. De menukaart is uitgebreid. De keuze was voor gevallen op carpaccio en een vissalade vooraf. Hoofdgerecht werd een tournedos en lamshaas. Nog onder de indruk van de hele entourage waren de borden snel leeg (lag zeker niet aan de grote van de porties) waardoor we helaas vergaten om foto's te maken. Hele nette prijsstelling en een eigenaar die het goed onder controle heeft! Kleine tip.... maak wel een reservering, want het kan er druk zijn.

We have been to La Plaisanterie a few times now and we have had a delicious meal every time! The hostess has a smooth chat and keeps an eye on everything. There is a monthly menu which is very affordable and the atmosphere of the restaurant is always good.

Finally found a nice restaurant where we can eat deliciously. Nice service, fast and approachable we didn't have to wait too long before we got bread with spread and an amuse. The three courses also came quickly despite the fact that the restaurant was completely full.. really recommended

Wij komen al wat jaartjes, voor het eerst in 2016. Of je nu komt voor een kopje koffie met wat lekkers erbij of heerlijke lunch als ook diner altijd een mooi rustpunt voor ons. De kaart is zeer gevarieerd en de wijnen zijn ook heerlijk. Eigenlijk te veel om op te noemen. Win verheugen ons alweer om de volgende keer er zijn. Een echte aanrader.

Very tasty food, friendly service and we didn't have to wait long for our food.

First of all, we sat next to one of the current 1-star reviewers and were almost embarrassed... German, with a dog, two of us, ignored every sign and left the good manners at the bike rack. To top it all off, we yelled at the waitress, immediately started an argument, and threatened to write a bad review... No words. But on to the reviewable things. Great location. Great food. Relaxed atmosphere, as long as the right guests are there. Tightly organized, lots of signs that should ensure a smooth flow, but are regularly ignored by guests, so that minor friction actually arises from time to time... But - if you behave nicely here, you'll be served delicious food and warmth in return...!

Heute machten wir einen Stop in Brouwershaven. Schöne Gegend, sonniges Wetter, Mittagszeit und Lust auf ein entspanntes Essen auf Terasse. Da wir sahen , das die Terasse vom Restaurant "La Plaisanterie" geöffnet hatte, sind wir also hin. Fahrräder abgestellt, Hund im Korb und zum Eingang. Da kein Personal zu sehen war, suchten wir einen Tisch, vorzugsweise schattig, da die Sonne doch stark schien. Noch am Suchen hörten wir hinter uns eine weibliche Stimme ziemlich schroff fragend ob Tisch für 2. Ja, also sollten wir einen 2er Tisch aussuchen. Ok, da schon ein anderer Hund anwesend war, schien es uns besser, etwas Abstand zu dem Tisch zu halten. Leider kam deshalb nur noch ein Tisch in voller Sonne in Frage. Kaum saßen wir, kam die Bedienung, dieselbe Dame, und sprach uns kurz gebunden auf niederländisch an. Da weder mein Mann noch ich selbst niederländisch sprechen, brauchte ich einen Moment um ze verstehen, dass man uns für die Getränke fragte. Gut, wir bestellten und fragten für die Menukarte. Als beides gebracht wurde, fragten wir höflich, ob sie uns den Sonnenschirm öffnen könne. Sofort verzog die Dame ärgerlich! ihr Gesicht und verneinte. Wir hätten uns ja in den Schatten setzen können, war die ernüchternde Antwort! Total verblüfft meinte ich , sie sei doch ziehmlich unfreundlich. Daraufhin entgegnete sie verärgert, dass nicht sie sondern wir selbst unfreundlich seien. Unsere Lust etwas zu essen war daraufhin verflogen. Am allerschlimmsten war jedoch, als sie wohl sah, dass wir etwas in unsere Handys tippte, kam sie zum Tisch und probierte uns ein zu schüchtern, eine Rezension zu schreiben. Das wäre nicht richtig, und sie würde unyer unsere Rezension schreiben, alles wäre gelogen!!! Was ist nur mit dieser Person los?? Als wir dann total genervt, enttäuscht und nicht verstehend was und wieso alles das gerade geschehen war, bezahlt hatten, meinte sie noch wir sollten ganz schnell den Platz frei machen und verschwinden

These people have not understood what it means to treat guests ! They should run a snackbar, if at all , just look at the reviews with little stars , they all point to the arrogance of the owner(s) or personell . The way I was addressed , already scared me enough from getting in for consumption. I choose quality of service over food in this particular case. For food reverences you should not necessarily use this as a review as such .

We visited this wonderful little town in the Netherlands and stopped at the La Plaisanterie restaurant for dinner. We were pleasantly surprised by the wonderful fish dishes that were served there. Aesthetics and culinary enjoyment are perfectly combined here. It was a pleasant evening with the family and everyone was very happy with this wonderful meal.

Dinner with the family (6 people). It was GREAT! The place was packed, but the service was super smooth and friendly, like a well-oiled machine. The pedometers have been working overtime. The hostess was warm and smiley. There was also a very pleasant atmosphere. The food was super tasty and beautifully prepared. Flavors were good, and you could taste the quality and freshness in every plate. In short, highly recommended if you are looking for a place for lunch/dinner in Brouwershaven. 10/10.

We sat on the terrace in the sun on Wednesday after a walk with the dog and had lunch. We took the aaand menu: I had fish soup, followed by pork skewers and a tasty strawberry flat cheese dessert. My husband had pork belly with prawns as a starter. We enjoyed it because everything was super delicious! Also friendly service. The lady came to ask if we had enough and we certainly did! Before dinner we received fresh bread and tasty snacks - with spreads 👌

Last Saturday afternoon, June 27, we had a delicious meal and not expensive for a monthly menu. Perhaps a small point for attention, I thought the meat was still a bit too raw. Otherwise good.

Absolutely good tent. Delicious lunch on the terrace. The food not only looked good, but also tasted great.

The three course dinner was again above expectations. Delicious salmon tartare as a starter. Three types of fish, sea bass, sole and salmon, together with fries, a salad and, for dessert, chocolate cake, ice cream and whipped cream. Nice and very friendly service, time for the customer.

15/7 -2022 The Terrace Police rule on the terrace of La Plaisanterie. The tone is immediately set for terrace visitors with prohibitions on signs ("Do not move tables and chairs"). Too bad because the terrace is perhaps the most beautiful in town. Between 4 and 4.30 PM the terrace is almost swept empty by the Terrace Police; "We also have to be able to eat in peace (I understand) because dinner starts at 4.30." Well, I thought, too bad, I'll just have to pay for the 2 glasses of rose with the pin. "Walk in to pay your debit card." And what do I see there????? A mobile pin device! Later I found out (I didn't pay close attention) that instead of 9 euros for the 2 glasses, I had been charged 10 euros. Did I miss a surcharge sign? Anyway, we didn't find hospitality at all on this beautiful terrace. Next time we will indeed pass it by. Oh yes, I think I will get back that overpaid euro when I am in the area again.

The waitress was very unfriendly and therefore the service was nil. I can't write anything about food.
