Restaurant Oeverzicht is a nice place with a nice, relaxed atmosphere. I mainly come here in the afternoons, often for lunch or after work, and it is always a nice experience. The staff is generally very quick and helpful. When it is a bit busier, it can sometimes take a bit longer, but personally I have never experienced this as disturbing or annoying. The shisha is of good quality and the food is always good. It is also very atmospheric in the evenings — especially in the summer, when the terrace is open, it is really enjoyable. Parking is generally not a problem; there are usually enough parking spaces nearby. In short: a nice place to relax, both during the day and in the evening. Definitely recommended!

Today we went out for dinner with the team at Het Oeverzicht. It was a really nice experience! The food was very tasty and well prepared. Everyone enjoyed the dishes. The staff was super friendly and helpful. They were always ready to help us and did this with a smile. The atmosphere in the restaurant was cozy and quiet. Everything was neat and tidy. We had a nice evening and will definitely come back. Highly recommended!

Top service Very tasty food and super nice atmosphere!

What a great evening at Restaurant Oeverzicht! We were there today with a group of 11 friends, it was really great fun. The staff is incredibly friendly and made us feel welcome right away. The Mediterranean dishes were delicious - really fresh and full of flavour. View of the water, a lovely atmosphere and enough space to sit comfortably. Whether you sit inside or outside on the terrace, the location is really something special. This is a place you will definitely want to come back to. Highly recommended!

Food was fine. At the checkout I found out that the lady had charged 4 x for all the snack platters instead of 2 x. After a short discussion she said she would halve everything. At home I found out that I had paid €50 too much again. Super unprofessional

Very bad experience. We were here the day before yesterday and it was not busy, so we were able to take a seat on the terrace. I ordered a simple pasta and my girlfriend a lamb skewer. We also ordered two drinks. After waiting 45 minutes we asked where our food and drinks were, the waiter would inquire. This is how an hour and 15 minutes finally passed, we didn't want to wait any longer and got up. The waiter only just arrived with our drinks, and immediately asked us "shall I cancel the food then?". We said that they really couldn't bear the wait and left and went to eat somewhere else. I don't think they were busy preparing our food at all...I've never had such bad service, in short, not recommended!

Terrible experience. We waited for an hour and a half, and our food still didn’t arrive. We had ordered cold mezza and main courses, and they didn’t even bring the mezza—which doesn’t take long to prepare at all. The waiters kept walking past our table and completely ignored us—no one even came to apologize for the delay. The service was honestly so bad, it ruined the whole experience. Definitely not coming back.

Ate here yesterday, but unfortunately it was not a success. Although the food was served quite quickly, the service was very chaotic. Asking for a drink or an ashtray seemed almost impossible. We were completely ignored. We were not the only ones, other guests also had to wait a long time. The food itself was disappointing. The chicken pasta was dry and tasteless. Instead of a creamy, well flavored pasta, we got a pasta with burnt and dry chicken. The tenderloin was also anything but tender. The meat was dry and had little flavor. Really a shame. The location is beautiful, but unfortunately that's it. Too bad, because with better service and tastier food this restaurant could be so much more.

I arrived to the restaurant after booking on the Fork... there were two waiters having dinner. They stood up and told us that the restaurant would be open only for additional 30 minutes (it was 8 pm and the restaurant was closing at 24 pm on Google). The restaurant was almost empty and the atmosphere was not organized or welcoming. My impression was that it was a sort of "ghost restaurant", without a real service and not eager to welcome new clientes. Not recommended.

I had high expectations for this restaurant, but unfortunately it was very disappointing. The food was absolutely not as expected and certainly not in relation to the high prices. For such amounts you expect quality and taste, but that was hard to find here. In addition, the shisha was a huge disappointment. You pay a lot of money for it, but then you can hardly enjoy it because it doesn't work well or is of poor quality. This was a real waste of money. All in all, I definitely wouldn't recommend this restaurant. There are plenty of places where you can eat and enjoy better food for a fairer price.

nice restaurant on the water. food is good, service less so, even though there were only 2 tables occupied. The menu is not really extensive and there is not much variety for vegans. The cost for 2 people with a hot starter and a mixed dish with something to drink is easily 120 euros.

Very very expensive. The red velvet cake I had was dry. A small point for more than 10 euros. Ridiculous. There were few customers, you would think that the staff would be very attentive, but that was not the case. Moderate. We won't be back.

Food was extremely salty and the service not great. A plus point was the layout of the plate, but that was about it. You also pay entrance fee for an "event" which is actually a DJ in the corner of the restaurant who plays a song for ALL guests, including people without an entrance ticket (€15). It's scandalous if you don't have enough reservations like yesterday where only 5 people have them, you cancel anyway! Ultimately, due to quite a bit of whining and complaining, we had to pay no less than 25 euros less from our bill, despite the 75 euros we had previously paid for the tickets. NEVER AGAIN!

I'm amazed this restaurant isn't packed. The food is super tasty. The two of us chose the cold mezzes and two hot mezzes. This was so much that we took almost half of the cold mezzes home. Extra bread was no problem either. The location is beautiful, with a view over the Sloterplas. The decor is nice and clean.

A beautiful place, with a beautiful view of the lake. That says it all. Substandard food. The service is downright rude. We felt unwelcome from the first seconds. My father received lukewarm/warm beer... Logically he was not OK with this and calmly walked to the bar to ask for cold(er) beer. The response was that there was no cold beer... My father and we were also surprised by the rather blunt and unfriendly response from the service. We wanted to finish our drink and then leave. The waiter kept looking at us angrily and intimidatingly. Especially to my father. I left my drink and we eventually walked away after paying. The waiter kept looking at my father intimidatingly. I calmly asked why the waiter was doing this, because I was dumbfounded and felt very uncomfortable. He said that my father should not have asked for cold beer, that this was disrespectful. I responded that we felt very unsafe because of his behavior and believe me... we are really not afraid or anything. But he felt he was within his rights. We thought it was unbelievable, but left it as it was. Very unfortunate, because the place is nice and we would have liked to come more often as local residents. But we will never go there again.

What a hidden overview! The food was super tasty and the atmosphere was also great. I definitely recommend it, even with starters you are satisfied, but you can definitely taste the meat. Absolutely not recommended. Nice restaurant with a nice view, but that's all. We got a menu for 65 euros per person that only included a few small bowls of dips with bread and a spring roll and meatball per person. When we asked about the next round we were told this was it. Really outrageous for that price. The service was also nothing. Really a waste of money I would definitely go somewhere else. There was also live music, it was so loud that you could no longer hear each other.

Belachelijk duur. Voor wat tapas en onbeperkt fris drinken betaal je een vaste prijs van €65 euro. Live muziek was hard en klonk slecht. I've been to many restaurants but this beat them all! You pay a fix price for tapas. From €65 euros which was not worth it at all. Soda was unlimited. Staff is very lazy and won't come to your table. You have to call them and they will come and take drinks but will not clear the table. They just hang on the kitchen counter. Then there was the live music, which was not good at all. Rock hard with nasty punches in it. Ridiculously expensive restaurant. Never again.

What a bad experience, never again and not worth it. Staff has no idea what they serve, on Saturday evening the fix menu is explained as if you also get a main course but no. Instead you get something like meze and you have to be happy with some bread, a spring roll and inside-out meatball. €70pp now I understand why it took so long for them to open, if you have black money I can absolutely advise you, you will lose it in no time...

The service is nothing, you have to wait a long time for everything and they often forget about you, then you don't get the dishes that come with the menu, but you do pay for them and if you question anything you are told that it is your own responsibility. is that you had to ask for it anyway because at checkout you just get everything on the receipt even though you haven't had it and on average you always pay more than you have to pay for, I've been there often enough, but the last time I was there I later joined the group and only had 1 drink and yet I was charged in full as if I had had a complete service and in terms of food, the taste has not changed a bit each time, so definitely NOT A PLACE TO RECOMMEND.

The most wonderful and magnificent restaurant in recent times

If I were the owner, I would invest more money and energy in well-qualified and customer-friendly staff than in advertising at Instagram. First try to give people value for their money, then you don't need advertising!

Tasteless. Shrimp were cold, mushrooms were undercooked. Dishes that really can't go wrong. Too bad for such a beautiful building.

As a manager in many the restaurants in Amsterdam , I was trying visit this nice restaurant next Sloterplaats, but the waiter was really impolite, we asked for a table for 2 people because I made a reservation but even he doesn’t say hello and he was really angry, that we decided to go to eat some fast food! So sad for the owners of this restaurant hiring people not professional!

Super Bad Service, My Rib eye was not a rib eye, it was another type of meat

We hebben heerlijk gegeten aan het water met zonsondergang. Heerlijke midden oosterse hapjes en gerechten. Snelle en gastvrije bediening.

Nu twee keer hier gegeten, beide keren prima. Vooral lekkere koude mezzes als voorgerecht en volop keuze aan hoofdgerechten. Vriendelijke bediening en mooie aankleding, voor mijn gevoel nog een wat onontdekte parel in Nieuw-West.

Oeverzicht was net na het openen een heerlijke sjieke plek. Het wordt echter minder en minder. Steeds minder gasten. Tijdens mijn laatste bezoek zat de manager (althans dat denk ik) luid te bellen op het terras. Dat zorgde niet voor een fijne rustige ervaring. De linzensoep is sinds dag 1 heerlijk.

Ze zijn super klantonvriendelijk... absoluut niet service gericht. Ik zou hier niet gaan en geld verspillen...

De locatie van het restaurant is mooi . Helaas heb je daarmee ook al het positieve mee gezegd. Gerechten waren duur en heel weinig die je meer als voorgerecht kunt beschouwen. Bediening heel slecht. Elk keer heel lang wachten, tot dat de bediening kwam, de bestelling van een aantal was vergeten waardoor ze na 1 uur het eten kregen. Hygiëne onder de maat. Hier komen we dus nooit meer terug.

Lovely place for a meal. Menu had a variety of dishes. Staff were helpful and happy to engage when I asked how to say thank you. Food took a while to come but it is all freshly prepared so not a problem. Tiramisu latte was delicious and the chai latte was the best I've ever had.

Dit restaurant is in mijn ogen ten onrechte onbekend en mogelijk ondergewaardeerd bij velen. Vooral omdat het ook grenst aan Amsterdam (Oud) Zuid en West, dat vele eettentjes kent en waar mensen toch vaker voor een hapje buiten de deur gaan. Dit restaurant heeft een geweldig uitzicht over de Sloterplas, met een terras buiten met parasols, en een gedeelte binnen zodat er onafhankelijk hoe het weer is, of omslaat, gedineerd kan worden met fantastisch uitzicht. En afhankelijk van het moment van de dag en de weersomstanigheden, romantisch. Het binnengedeelte heeft een comfortabel klassiek/modern interieur, en waar ook de (open) keuken is. De kaart is meer dan goed gevarieerd. Wat mij vooral aantrekt en nieuwsgierig maakt, dat is de geboden mix van Mediterraanse en Turkse keuken. Men durft hier een eigen stijl aan gerechten aan te bieden en gerechten worden zeer verzorgd geserveerd. Met de propositie (ambiance, kaart, keuken en kwaliteit) zou ik een ieder aanraden om dit restaurant eens te proberen. Zeker op een mooie zomeravond! Ik was met een gezelschap van zes gasten. Ik had een Zeebaars met groente. Goed, we leven hier niet direct aan de kust waar de vis vanuit de vissersboot op de grill gaat. Dan glijdt alles niet direct van de graat als het niet absoluut vers is. Maar het proeft en smaakt wel dat er aandacht is besteedt aan bereiding en cuisson. De groente was bijzonder mooi beetgaar, en met olijfolie, goed op smaak gebracht. Gerechten van anderen zagen er ook zeer aantrekkelijk uit. Wat ik net even miste om vijf sterren te geven was die " touch" en aandacht van bediening, de algehele ambiance van aanwezigen. Maar ik vermoed ook dat als mensen het hier gewoon eens proberen, dat dit een zeer gewilde plek kan zijn om te eten, te daten, of gewoon een moment om niet te vergeten.

Top locatie uitzicht is erg mooi. Wij zijn hier geweest op een avond dat ze live muziek hadden was erg gezellig. Maar ze hebben op zo’n avond een fix menu waarbij je een aantal koude en warme meze’s krijgt. Met alcohol is het 65€ zonder 55€. Dit is best wel prijzig vooral als je niet alles kan/wil eten. Ik snap niet waarom ze niet gewoon extra toeslag vragen voor live muziek en dat je zelf kan kiezen wat je wilt eten en drinken.

Redelijk goed , bediening niet erg gastvrij , het eten kwam snel en smaakte goed , prijzen aan de hoge kant . Geen gezellige sfeer . Er zat een stukje plastic in het ijs.

Samen met mn collega heb ik heerlijk gegeten en gedronken. Was alweer een lange tijd geleden dat alles compleet was. Lekker warme voorgerecht. Zonder enig probleem mijn maaltijd aangepast ivm met mn dieet. Complimenten aan de kok! Prachtig uitzicht, maar ook smaakvol ingericht. De mogelijkheid dat je ook buiten kan zitten is toppie. Hierbij bedank ik de proffesionele team voor de gastvrijheid!!!

Dit was een van mijn favoriete restaurants in Amsterdam. Helaas is de kwaliteit niet meer wat het was. Mijn vermoeden is dat er bij inkoop bezuinigd wordt op de kwaliteit van de ingrediënten. Ik heb een ribeye besteld. Dit was ontzettend droog & moeilijk om door te slikken. Er zat amper smaak aan. Dit is niet de ribeye dit ik gewend ben van dit restaurant (Ribeye black angus). Ik kreeg hier ook wat krieltjes & rijst bij geserveerd. De krieltjes waren nog rauw..... 30 euro voor dit gerecht..........

Eten was opzicht wel goed, het was niet wat ik besteld had.

Laatst heb ik een geweldige ervaring gehad in dit gezellige restaurant! Het personeel en de eigenaren waren absoluut fantastisch. Ze maakten me meteen op mijn gemak en gaven me het gevoel dat ik zeer welkom was. Wat me het meest opviel, was hun vrolijke en servicegerichte houding. Het personeel was altijd met een glimlach aanwezig en ze deden er alles aan om ervoor te zorgen dat ik een geweldige tijd had. Hun gastvrijheid was van topniveau. Deze plek straalt een warme en vriendelijke sfeer uit. Ik voelde me direct thuis en dat maakte mijn eetervaring des te plezieriger. Het is zo belangrijk om je op je gemak te voelen wanneer je uit eten gaat, en dit restaurant wist dat perfect te bereiken. Ik kan dit restaurant ten zeerste aanbevelen aan iedereen die op zoek is naar een plek waar je je welkom voelt en waar het personeel er alles aan doet om je tevreden te stellen. Ik kom zeker terug!

Het eten zelf viel mee, maar het duurde ontzettend lang en de verkeerde bestellingen werden een aantal keren gebracht. Er waren dingen op het menu dat ze niet meer hadden. Zal er helaas niet meer terug komen. Erg teleurgesteld.

Gezellig restaurant..eten echt een aanrader ...terras aan het water ..goede cocktails ...Garnalen in olie met brood echt een aanrader! Bediening mag sneller en alles wat bij het gerecht hoort meteen samen serveren...moest lang wachten op mijn brood bij de garnalen...

Wij wilden gisteren een hapje eten met live muziek wat in de Turkse restaurant vaker voorkomt. Bij aankomst leek het erg mooi, mooie locatie, mooie aankleding. Echter was de muziek heel erg luid dat ik niets kon verstaan wat mijn partner zei. Het eten was koud en weinig. Airco stond loeihard aan, ik ben vandaag verkouden, kans is groot dat dat door de airco komt. Helaas werden we geconfronteerd met een torenhoge rekening. Bleek dat het een soort Fixed menu was, terwijl we a la carte hebben besteld. Nergens op het menu stond dat het een fixed menu was en wat de bijbehorende prijzen waren. We kregen 4 hele kleine schaaltjes meze met dunne pitabrood (zonder dat we erom hadden gevraagd maar zochten hier niets achter, zagen dit als boter met brood wat je vaker krijgt bij restaurants), we hadden een gedeelde grillplateau (ca 23.00 euro pp), 3 thee en een fles water. De rekening was 155 euro. SCHANDALIG. Ze zeiden dat de meze 55 euro pp kost (huh??) Dit voelde erg als oplichting. Het enige positieve was de locatie maar daarvoor ga je niet naar een restaurant. Nooit meer.

Gezellig restaurant met een goede kaart en vriendelijke bediening. Gerechten kwamen vlot op tafel en ruim voldoende qua grootte. Leuke muziek met Raki, heerlijk!
