We had a wonderful experience at Olijfje. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was fantastic. We especially want to thank Can abi for his warm welcome and friendly demeanor. We will definitely be back! 🙏

This is my third day eating at restaurants in Amsterdam, and I liked this one the best. I ordered the mixed grill, and the food was incredibly tasty. Try the Affligem beer, too—it has a unique flavor. I hope to come back a second time

We were very pleased. Absolutely no pork products are used. The appetizers are delicious. It's a place you can eat at with peace of mind in Amsterdam.

Worst place ever. Totally disrespectful. People make reservation and owner clearly overbooked to someone else because was a bigger group. And then complains that customer care is wrong and don’t even try a solution. Not recommended.

Worst experience ever. They did a mistake with our reservation and one hour after our 18 people table still was not ready. We were treated in a completely unrespectful and rude way. We were lucky and end up having a super nice dinner in an Argentinian place and not spending our money with people do not deserve it.

Avoid this place…we were invited here for a business dinner and happened to find the manager to be extremely aggressive (quite close to a fight actually). I guess if the hospitality is at that level, I do not want to know how the food tastes. I have to say I have never seen experienced such poor hospitality. But on the bright side, we have found a different restaurant that was excellent and made the business night evening memorable.

They were very friendly and the salad I ate was delicious.

We had reservation for a group, but they've double booked and the manager was very rude to us, and after one our of waiting we left.

Fantastic service and the food is really nice and authentic. We had a chicken dish, a lamb dish and a beef meatball dish which were all great, and more unique than the typical kebabs. Highly recommend!

The place is warm and welcoming, the food is very, very good, and the quality of the meat is spectacular. The staff's attention makes you feel comfortable from the very first moment.

We grabbed a quick bite here before going to the opera. What a lovely restaurant! Super friendly people and delicious food. It was 29 degrees and we sat outside under the awning. We will definitely be back.

This restaurant serves amazing Balkan cuisine. They said the owner’s Turkish but many of the dishes were from around the Mediterranean and Bulgaria. The food just melted in our mouths. In a rainy night we enjoyed sitting in their giant windows watching the streets as we enjoyed a romantic diner.

We visited the restaurant yesterday and I must admit it was one of the best Turkish restaurant experiences I've ever had here in the Netherlands. Hospitality was great. The owner of the restaurant takes care of each customer by himself and gets constant feedbacks. The food was also great as well. Highly recommended.

Our lunch at Olijfje was a very pleasant surprise! The service was incredibly warm and attentive! Upon arrival, we were greeted with a complimentary and exquisite tasting while our main courses were being prepared, and at the end, we were surprised with a complimentary chocolate mousse tasting.

We came hungry and left absolutely stuffed, in the best possible way! The food was delicious, fresh, generous, and packed with flavor from beginning to end. Right away, they bring out plenty of warm bread with an amazing assortment of dips and sides, including tzatziki, hummus, flavorful sauces, and chicken salad. The portions are generous, and they happily provide refills, so you are definitely not sitting around waiting or feeling hungry before your main course arrives. For my entrée, I had the chicken thighs, and they were incredible. The chicken was perfectly cooked, moist and tender, never dry, and absolutely full of flavor. Even the rice was delicious and beautifully seasoned. The hospitality was just as impressive as the food. The service was excellent, attentive, and genuinely warm. Even though we were already completely stuffed, they surprised us with baklava on the house, which was such a thoughtful touch and the perfect ending to the meal. Excellent food, excellent hospitality, excellent service. I would absolutely come here again the next time I’m in Amsterdam. Highly recommend. You will not regret it!

One of the best meals we had in Amsterdam. Everything was absolutely delicious, but what really made the experience special was the hospitality. Can Bey was incredibly kind, welcoming and attentive throughout our visit. It was raining when we were leaving, and he even gave us an umbrella to take with us, which was such a thoughtful gesture and something we’ll genuinely remember. As Turkish people, we can honestly say that even in Turkey it can be difficult to find food with this level of flavor and quality. Everything we tried was excellent. Highly recommended!

Absolutely the best meal we ate in Amsterdam. The food was extremely flavorful and seasoned perfectly. The chocolate mouse was so delicious and not overly sweet. It was the perfect end to an amazing meal.

Great food, ambience and service

My girlfriend and I had a delicious lunch here. The atmosphere is incredibly pleasant, and the quality is fantastic. You can taste the love in their recipes. The staff and the owners are extremely hospitable. I dare say that the hospitality we experienced here is the best in Amsterdam. We will definitely be back.

If I could give this restaurant 10 stars, I absolutely would! The staff was incredibly kind and welcoming. They brought us some delicious dips with bread, olives and Greek extra virgin olive oil (Italian approved!!): tzatziki, a sun-dried tomato cream, one that reminded me of a seasoned mayonnaise, and a light, slightly spicy pepper cream. Everything was delicious! We then ordered three main dishes: a vegetarian casserole, oven-baked kebab, and I was undecided between the Şiş kebab and Adana kebab. The waiter was so kind that he let me try both: one skewer of each! And the great experience didn’t end there. He also offered us baklava for dessert. What can I say? This is definitely a restaurant I would recommend to anyone who has the chance to have lunch or dinner in Amsterdam! They also have plenty of gluten-free options and were very attentive to allergies, which we really appreciated. Kindness, amazing food, and wonderful service…they truly deserve the best! 💪❤️

For years, I have been driving from Almere to Olijfje with great pleasure, and it remains excellent every single time! The food is truly delicious, the staff incredibly friendly, and the atmosphere is always cozy and relaxed. In short: absolutely nothing to complain about, and as far as I'm concerned, a solid 10! ⭐️ If Olijfje were just around the corner, I would probably go there every week. Now the distance is just a little too far, so unfortunately I can only manage it once a month. But fair is fair: that actually says enough! Highly recommended for anyone who loves good food and a good time.

This place is very good. Excellent customer service. We had the lamb and grilled shrimp, both were excellent. The bread and olives were really good and the tzaziki sauce was amazing! Also, chocolate mousse and cappuccino afterwards. Definitely recommend!

This place is absolutely fantastic in every way. The staff, the food, the atmosphere, and the ambiance are all wonderful. We ate meatballs and lamb skewers of a caliber rarely found in Türkiye. The appetizers and side dishes were also excellent. Mutlu from Izmir's cheerful demeanor and Can Bey's pleasant conversation were incredibly enjoyable. Can Bey personally went around to each table and attended to everyone. I highly recommend it. Go and see for yourselves.

The plan was to go to the restaurant next door, but it was closed, so we went into this one by chance. Their welcome was amazing, and they were so friendly. We ordered chicken kebab, hummus, and a potato dish, and everything was delicious. As a treat, they gave us incredibly tasty chocolate ice cream and baklava 🤍

this place was absolutely amazing. me and my mum stumbled upon this place purely by chance, and we are so glad we did. the staff are incredible, and are so attentive and have such good attention to detail when it comes to their customers. the food was so delicious as well, so so fresh and a perfect way to end the evening. highly appreciated the free chocolate mousse and the amount of bread we received for our starter- honestly, would go back to amsterdam again just for that!
