Mediterranean food, quality and varied!

This was my first time visiting, and the experience truly lived up to the great reviews I had seen from others. The hospitality was excellent — the staff were warm, welcoming, and very attentive. The food quality was outstanding, fresh, and full of flavor. A wonderful first impression, and I’ll definitely be coming back.

The food is so delicious, wide variety of options. I tried some of the special options in the menu and loved it. The staff are so lovely and make the experience really good. Food is kind of expensive, but we also got a lot of items as a gift from the staff. Highly recommended. Even with a big group of people.

From the moment we walked in, we received an incredibly warm welcome; we immediately felt at ease and completely at ease. The atmosphere is simply perfect: pleasantly quiet, not too loud, and the lighting is just right for relaxing and enjoying the evening. The service was consistently attentive, courteous, and wonderfully warm without being intrusive. Exactly what you want. The food was an absolute highlight: everything cooked to perfection, absolutely delicious, and prepared with great attention to detail. We have rarely eaten so well – every course was a delight, a true culinary experience. As a crowning touch, we were even offered a complimentary dessert, a wonderful gesture that perfectly rounded off the evening. A restaurant with heart, quality, and genuine hospitality. We will definitely be back and can wholeheartedly recommend it! 🌟🍽️

The best place in Amsterdam, the service is excellent, they are very kind and gentle, the food is delicious, large portions, you absolutely have to go to this place.

Four of us went to this restaurant for dinner during a trip to Amsterdam. All the dishes were truly delicious. Friendly staff, excellent hospitality, and super-fast service. The price was reasonable for Amsterdam and for what the restaurant offers. Overall, it was the best place we ate in five days in Amsterdam.

A lovely Mediterranean restaurant near Nieuwmarkt. Our family of four, including two children, thoroughly enjoyed their meal. Children's meals are available. It's possible to arrive quite early (5:45 pm in our case), which was perfect after a long walk in the cold.

The food was delicious! The staff was very friendly and helpful. We had to leave around a certain time, and the kitchen accommodated us.

This is the best restaurant I've tried in Amsterdam, so much so that I went twice and I regret not going a third time... 🥹 The service, the welcome, the atmosphere, the quality of the ingredients: everything was perfect. Our visit was a true moment of relaxation and serenity. Our stay in Amsterdam clearly wouldn't have been the same if we hadn't gone to this restaurant, I mean it and I mean it 🫶🏻

I really enjoyed it. Very attentive and friendly staff, good advice, knowledgeable, efficient service, the food is godly, portions are nice, and we loved getting some extras. Maybe the extras come if you make a large order but we did appreciate those. Also, I mentioned my allergy, and they adapted 1 dish just for me and warned me which dishes for the rest of the group had (my) allergen, thank you so much!! I want to be back! 😀

I noticed this restaurant when I first arrived in Amsterdam, but finally had time to try it during the Christmas holidays. It was even more popular than I expected. Although I didn't have a reservation, the owner managed to get me a table. I ordered the roast chicken, which was very flavorful and juicy. The meal also included some bread and olives, which made it quite filling. The owner even gave me a complimentary chocolate mousse at the end – thank you for your hospitality!

If you want to eat something decent in Amsterdam, I definitely recommend this place. We ate chicken skewers, a children's menu, and liver. They were all very delicious and good. Also, we walked there for about 25 minutes and were very tired, but Can Bey was kind enough not to turn us away. A true gentleman.

We had a very nice time, the service was great, we were there for a while and it wasn’t too expensive. My only complaint would be that even though I made our reservation our table was not ready and they had to put a couple tables together, but the food was great.

Wonderful place with amazing food! We got there earlier, and even though the place was full they still found a spot for us, great service! Stuff was very nice, food was served quickly and the taste was the best ever Mediterranean food I have ever tried! Strongly recommend this place for anyone visiting Amsterdam!

Had a wonderful meal with my daughter. We were given delicious bread as a starter, which was a great start. The tenderloin was well-prepared and very flavorful, and the rice was also delicious. I would have liked a few more vegetables, but that didn't detract from the overall experience. The service was very friendly and welcoming, and the prices are reasonable. I will definitely return here when I'm in the area. I highly recommend it to everyone!

We spent our last evening in Amsterdam at this restaurant, and it was definitely not a disappointing choice! We had reserved a table and were shown to it right away. Our drink order was taken very quickly. We were served bread, olives, and aioli while waiting for the main course. Everything tasted excellent, and we were well taken care of throughout the evening. As an Italian, I really appreciated the high-quality olive oil: being able to enjoy gluten-free bread with a drizzle of oil and a pinch of salt while waiting for our dishes was truly enjoyable! Really bad food. We saw the good ratings so we got excited but were very disappointed. It had zero flavour and tasted like cheap store bought food. They served baguette which was stale instead of pita. Such a waste of money.

Located in the city center, it stands out with its warm and friendly service. Their meat is incredibly delicious. The lamb shish kebab you'll find here is unmatched in Antep. The lamb chops are legendary, and their stuffed meatballs rival Antakya's. I highly recommend them.

We dined there two nights in a row during our stay; the food was delicious and plentiful, the welcome was very pleasant, and the staff were always smiling. We loved it!

The appetizers are especially good (if I don't mention the liver, it would be a betrayal to the liver and the cook) and the hot dishes are especially good.

The other day we made the wonderful decision to have dinner at this Mediterranean restaurant in Amsterdam. To start, they brought us some appetizers. Then all the dishes we ordered were exquisite, all carefully prepared and delicious. Furthermore, the service was excellent. They even gave us complimentary dishes. It's definitely a great place to try the best Mediterranean food in Amsterdam. I would definitely go back.

I will never forget the kindness I experienced at Restaurant Olijfje. First, let's start with dinner. This was some of the best Mediterranean food we've ever had. Everything that we ordered (hummus, varieties of meat, stuffed grape leaves, etc) was delicious. At one point during our meal, the owner came by and thanked us for making his restaurant part of our vacation and talked with us for a short while. Everyone was going above and beyond, and that's before I really needed their help. While at the restaurant, I had a bit of a medical emergency and ended up passing out at my table. My wife rushed to help me, along with two Australian paramedics who were two tables down from us, also on their vacation. I came to and the wait staff had already sprung into action to help me. As the Dutch paramedics got there, the owner came out with us to make sure I made it to the ambulance. While I was completing some tests (everything was fine in the end, don't worry!), the owner had run back into the restaurant and collected bottles of water and bowls of chocolate mousse for me and my wife, along with all of the medical staff in the ambulance. The next day, we went back to the restaurant to pay for our meal (in the chaos of the paramedics being there and whatnot, we hadn't had time or opportunity to pay). Instead of having us pay, they said that they were just glad that I was alright, and that we're all human, and it's just important that I had my health. I was overwhelmed by their kindness. Even if this medical incident didn't happen, I would still recommend going back! The food is delicious, remember?

Highly highly recommended this place for dinner. We visited twice on our few days trip to Amsterdam! Food was amazing, so tasty and flavourful. Great size portions, homemade bread and garlic aolie complementary too. Food was reasonable priced as well. Staff were friendly, and remembered us when we returned for the second time.

Food and service were excellent. However, I don't find the atmosphere very welcoming.

As a Spaniard, I have to say that it's not easy to find good Mediterranean food in other countries, but I was quite surprised by the cuisine at this place. The croquettes were delicious, the aioli was perfect, and the chocolate mousse was the best I've ever tasted. Excellent service from the staff and the owner. A wonderful experience that I will repeat if I ever return to Amsterdam.

What looks like a normal restaurant from the front is a huge, cozy place inside with friendly service. The food is delicious, and the staff really cares about you. Definitely worth a visit!
