Worth every euro! As a group of 9, we made a reservation, which worked out perfectly. We were all thrilled with the restaurant itself and the selection on the menu. The selection is extensive, and the waiters took the time to explain everything to us. The quality of the food was impressive, as was the service. Only the dirty restrooms somewhat dampened the impression. Highly recommended, in any case!

I had an appointment, but it fell through at the last minute. However, I decided to dine here anyway. Even though the prices are a bit high, the food is delicious (see the receipt). Paid parking is also available. I really enjoyed the vine leaf meze and cerkez tavugu. The atmosphere is definitely nice, and the crowd is diverse. It was busy, so booking ahead is recommended. The service was excellent, and the staff, including the owner, are very friendly.

We had an absolutely wonderful time at Olijfje ! Everything was so perfect that we came out of this restaurant completely stunned ! The service was lightning fast while being extremely kind and professional, we never had to ask for anything because the waiters (and the owner) were very proactive. They were also totally opened to accommodate our plate to our liking (thanks you for that). It's by far the best customer service I've ever seen in my life ! The food was absolutely delicious, very well seasoned (I didn't need to add salt to the food, which is very rare) and cooked. I didn't know food could be this tasty and the texture this great ! We were also able to have as many bread as needed to eat with our hummus and tzatziki, which is rare enough to be noted. I must also thanks the owner for the complimentary starters, water and baklava (which were delicious too by the way), this was very kind and thoughtful of you :) I do recommend eating there if you go to Amsterdam. In fact, this place is a MUST go because I can assure you that you'll have a very good time and you'll leave full (without feeling bloated) ! I'll personally recommend this place to everyone in my social circle without a doubt. PS : This place doesn't ask you for any tips at the end, the owner even refuses them! But we still insisted on doing one because we really had a great time and it felt greatly deserved !

I had one of the best authentic Mediterranean dining experiences at this charming corner restaurant. If you know the original flavors of true Mediterranean cuisine, this is the place that will make you feel right at home. The food was bursting with flavor and absolutely delicious. I ordered the mixed platter, which included chicken, beef, lamb, and meatballs, each dish was perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. The service was just as impressive; the staff were warm and welcoming, and after we complimented the food, they even surprised us with complimentary desserts. A wonderful experience all around!

Everything is homemade, fresh, and top-notch. The food is delicious, and the service is first-class; it's definitely worth a visit. They're even considerate of sleeping children. For example, they turn the music down. Even the chicken nuggets are homemade.

We noticed this restaurant looked busy last night as we're staying at a hotel on the same road - had walked a long way today and were tired so proximity was a factor. But it was a great choice: unobtrusive but excellent service; beautiful food; not at all rushed - a great find

We had dinner and the food was excellent! We all enjoyed it; I highly recommend the mixed grill menu! The ambiance was also pleasant, there was some music playing in the background, and the service was great! The staff was attentive and very friendly. I would go back in a heartbeat. The only reason for the 4 stars is the price. It's not incredibly expensive, but it's not exactly cheap either. Still, it's worth going!

We tried lamb liver, lamb chops. Everything was so good. Staff is quite friendly and kind. Icli kofte was a bit spicy 🔥 for the kids, it might be challenging but I loved it. They put delicious olive oils on the table.

Delicious food with excellent service. They served us bread with olive oil as a starter, without us having asked for it, and after eating, they gave us a taste of chocolate mousse, which was excellent! They also gave us glasses of iced water without us asking. A 10/10 service! The waiter who served us was Greek; we didn't get his name, but he was charming. Highly recommended.

Fuimos a comer y la comida estaba muy rica, el local limpio y muy bien decorado, pero lo que más destacó fue la gran calidad del servicio. The restaurant was full outside when we arrived, but they even pulled out a table for us so we could sit outside. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The food was simply perfect, from the starter to the main course and dessert.

One of the best places we ate in Amsterdam. It was located close to the Maritime Museum, which is why we ended up there. The food was fantastic with some of the lamb dishes, being our favorite. Very tender, tasty and not overpriced.

This restaurant is absolutely awesome! Very friendly service, great place where you feel at home. Really delicious food. Honestly, the fish (grilled sea bass and the grilled salmon) with the side dishes was the best fish I've ever eaten. Really tasty! Absolutely recommendable! You must eat at this restaurant if you visit Amsterdam!

This quaint Mediterranean restaurant was amazing. From the moment we walked in to the time we left. The service was great, the food was even better and to top it off we got a sample dessert on the house! Would 100% recommend.

Went there on a Monday evening and the place was quite full but luckily we had to wait only 5 minutes to get a table - I'd suggest to make a reservation for the weekends. Said so, cool vibe and atmosphere with the staff being very nice and proactive. We've been welcomed with some turkish bread and aioli sauce (very tasty) and the food they served was great (highly suggest the lamb). Before leaving they also offered us a small chocolate mousse, a tasty goodbye treat. Overall, very nice experience, looking forward to go again when will go back in Amsterdam.

I visited this restaurant with my husband. The food was very delicious, the lamb was juicy, and the atmosphere was extremely pleasant. We especially appreciated the staff — their attention and care could be felt at every step. On top of that, it was a lovely surprise to receive a bread basket and two small desserts at the end. I definitely recommend this place for a visit!

We had a delicious mixed grill and HÜNKÁR BEGENDI FROM THE OVEN. The latter dish is a must if you love cheese. We think it's a plus that the dishes come with delicious rice (instead of the standard fries). The mixed vegetables with the mixed grill were also particularly tasty, as were the olives and the bread with spread. The chocolate mousse is also highly recommended; it's fantastic. Furthermore, the staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is pleasant. The decor is beautiful, and you don't sit too close together. We will definitely come back here again.

We had a fantastic meal at Oliveut today. We had the eggplant stew and the mixed grill, which were delicious and the meat was very tender. The service was also excellent and the atmosphere was lovely!

First time in Amsterdam for my wife Karen and I. Olijfje was recommended by the hotel we were staying at. In one word - WOW! Atmosphere, Service and the food were all phenomenal! A family run restaurant that truly takes pride in providing you an excellent experience. A must place to eat if you're in Amsterdam!

There is nothing special about this restaurant. I am not sure how people are giving it a 5 star. So the most important item to rate is the food right? The food is average if you havectried any good Turkish restaurants. Yes, if you have never had Turkish food, I can see someone giving this restaurant 5 stars, but if you have eaten at other Turkish restaurant the food was just average. I ordered Adana Kabab and it was really very average. Not even that juicy. It wasn't bad but not worthy of 5 star. The service was mediocre too.

Delicious meze mix as a starter, lamb skewers for the main course, and then the fantastic kanafeh for dessert! The extras "on the house" and your friendly hospitality made it all complete. Wow!

We had just flew into Amsterdam and were anxious to have dinner after a long day of travel. This establishment was within walking distance from our hotel. We were seated immediately. The menu looked so good it was a hard decision on what to choose. Each of us ordered something different and everything was delicious! Service was top notch and all items were reasonably priced. I highly recommend.

Beautiful restaurant with exceptional service! Everything we ate was 10/10 delicious! I’d recommend the lamb mince kebab, feta salad, pan fried mushrooms, and the beef tenderloin was perfectly tender and delicious flavor. They are very accommodating for allergies. Highly recommend!

We were on holiday from Scotland and discovered this gem of a restaurant after reading all the great reviews. It didn't disappoint. The food, service and price were all brilliant. We enjoyed it so much we went back each night for the remainder of our short visit. The owner/manager was just brilliant, keeping an eye on everything and making sure the service was always first class for all the customers. We even had a nice chat about the recent European football match between Fenerbahçe and Rangers, our respective teams. Just brilliant.

The main courses were all excellently prepared, and the meat was wonderfully tender and perfectly seasoned. To finish, we enjoyed a delicious dessert. The atmosphere in the restaurant is great - warm, cozy and inviting. The staff are friendly, hospitable and always willing to help. What really stood out was the owner: a sincere and friendly man who clearly has a heart for his business. In short: an absolute must! We will definitely come back.

A true hidden gem just outside the crowded touristy area - the prices are more than reasonable for the reception and food quality. Highly recommend to try the Adana Kebab for the main courses and their desserts! Also, shoutout to the owner - truly a dedicated and cheerful person who visibly enjoys what he's doing and tries hard to give the visitors the best experience available. To celebrate the start of the holiday we went to visit Olive. They are nearby but we had never been there. We should have kept it that way. We had a platter of various hot and cold tapas. The real highlight were the squid rings where no squid had been near (and according to the manager not homemade either) but also the sigara boreki was questionable. There was no real cheese in it but a kind of dough (according to the manager this was really homemade). The garnish of orange and cucumber had already dried out. Actually everything was below par. After complaints we got in touch with the manager and he very courteously tried to repair the damage with a free piece of salmon (well cooked, much too salty) and a chocolate amuse that was a success (maybe they should continue as a dessert bar). Final verdict: we will not come back. In the response of the owner insults are made about us that are untrue. We are open minded and are often satisfied (read my other reviews mostly positive) And they don't really address the poor quality of their meze/tapas. No plan for improvement so don't go there

There was a large amount of food and we were very happy with the quality, as well as the speed by which all the courses arrived. Both vegetarian and meat dishes were very nice. Service was very friendly and we even got a special dessert for the occasion. Highly recommend!

The food was absolutely delicious, and the portions were truly huge. The service was excellent - very friendly and welcoming. We were there for a team event, and they managed to feed us perfectly within our budget. The only downside is that there’s no air conditioning inside, so it can get a bit uncomfortable on hot days. I’d recommend booking a table outside if the weather’s warm.
