A wonderfully charming and charming renovated old church building with many authentic features. Surprisingly delicious food at a low price.

We reported an allergy, but it was served anyway without mentioning it. Luckily, we were careful and didn't eat any of it. When we asked, we received an apology and a free cup of tea. There were four of us. It could have ended very differently, and they should have called 911.

We were surprised not only by the high-quality food but also by the wonderful (Christmas) atmosphere. A church transformed into a beautiful restaurant. Highly recommended for everyone to visit (and eat).

This evening we thoroughly enjoyed the delicious food served to us. The staff were super friendly and offered us the most delicious local products. We highly recommend stopping there for a tasty treat.

We received a caregiver compliment. We were served carpaccio without cheese, pine nuts, and a sun-dried tomato. The steak I ordered was overcooked and therefore tough, so I left it. There was also a salad, so I just didn't add anything to it. The first fries looked and tasted strange, and the second time, the fries were pre-cooked. The dessert was good, but nothing could go wrong with that. This was on November 20th. You can be on a budget, but it can still be delicious. So this was our caregiver compliment.

Restaurant Onze Kerk is located in a beautiful, unique setting. The lunch dishes are of good quality, but the flavors aren't particularly pronounced. They're fine, but nothing special. The salad served with the lunch platter could be prepared and presented with more care. All in all, a pleasant place for lunch, with some room for improvement in the kitchen.

We visited years ago and booked again this time with a music evening/package. We were looking forward to it because the last time it was delicious. However, this time it was a significant step down. Perhaps it's unfair to compare it to our previous visit, but this time the food was disappointing. The package was fixed and primarily designed for quick service. It was very simple and above all tasteless. It was barely seasoned, and we had to add salt and pepper to make it taste good. The service was excellent and the music good. But the poor food made the evening rather disappointing. I also continue to find it remarkable when only two sandwiches and two small bowls of fries are served as starters for six people. A mistaken economy that can ruin the entire experience. Perhaps we had too high expectations, but in our case, the quality has deteriorated significantly and isn't worthy of a Gault Millau listing.

Saturday evening we were lucky to get a table again. Despite it being Tonke's birthday (congratulations!) and being short-staffed, the food and service were fantastic again. Everyone helped each other, and it all worked together like a well-coordinated team. Even when they apologized for a miscommunication with the kitchen, we didn't even notice. Fantastic food and fantastic service. A solid 10!

We had dinner with neighbors from ZBH, in the church for the first time. The ambiance, acoustics, and temperature were excellent. The food was good, and the meat from Havermans (also at home) was truly perfect. Philippe was the waiter...a star! All in all, we've said we'll definitely go back...highly recommended!

Unique location with a cool vibe. They made the church into a restaurant while preserving some of the key elements. Service was fantastic: friendly and swift. The food was nicely served and consisted of mostly locally sourced ingredients. Unfortunately most of the dishes tasted bland, little to no spicing, no salt or pepper. A pity as the dishes had much more potential. The drinks were fine.

The food and drinks were delicious and there was plenty of choice. The church board offers the option of ordering a 12-hour meal, where guests can specify their preferences. The building is very atmospheric and has been transformed into a restaurant with respect for the church's heritage. We were very happy with the Rituals hand cream in the bathroom! I found the email beforehand with additional information very helpful. Definitely recommended.

We loved it! We only had a short time, but when we mentioned that, they quickly arranged for us to order for a large group, and lunch arrived very quickly. It was also delicious. Absolutely fantastic!

What an ambiance! An almost overwhelming entrance, beautiful stained glass illuminated by daylight, arches in the ceiling, and even the church organ and confessional are present. The staff were also friendly and helpful. Our host, Philippe, made our evening complete. The food could have been a bit better, but I'm assured they're working on that. A good reason for us to make another reservation. It's also worth mentioning that there's ample FREE parking, perhaps another reason to indulge yourself here.

Because we had a good experience on previous visits, we chose Onze Kerk on September 14th. We had booked, so we expected good service. There was a large group that naturally required a lot of attention. As a result, we were rushed through. The second drink only arrived after we asked twice, and we simply didn't get the second glass of wine for two other people! It would have been better if we had been told when we booked that there was no room. Now we're feeling a bit dissatisfied, which is a shame, but that's the way it is.

After a previous visit and a 4-star rating, I should have lowered it to 0 after my last visit, but that's not possible. On Saturday, August 16, 2025, around 3:30 PM, we visited the terrace. There's room for about 30 people, and there were 4 of us at the time, so it wasn't really busy. There's a sign on the door that says "Experience the attention," but unfortunately, we didn't experience it, precisely the lack of it. After 20 minutes, an employee came out and, while kicking a terrace chair into place—yes, I swear, she shouted without looking at me—"Can I pour you something?" When I told her I'd expected more attention from a business with such a sign on the door, since I'd already been waiting for 15 to 20 minutes, she walked back in, irritated, and said, "We're doing our best, you know." I then left and decided never to come back.

We had a wonderful time with a large group of 17 people, and the food was absolutely delicious. The service was truly fantastic, and the staff were incredibly helpful. Absolutely fantastic! See you soon!

We have nothing but praise for this beautiful restaurant in a stunning church. We dined here with a small group for our wedding. We chose a variety of dishes to share. Everything was delicious: the various croquettes, mackerel salad, oven-baked goat cheese, heavenly fries (definitely order those!), mushrooms on bread, sausage rolls, bitterballen... all top-notch. Daniëlle and her colleague looked after us wonderfully. We were very impressed by their kindness and attentiveness. Thank you so much for this wonderful memory. This restaurant has captured a special place in our hearts.

We've been again now: We're about 65 years old, and seriously, we tried the three-course meal and have NEVER had such a good meal. Damanja was our hostess, and the others were just as professional, attentive, helpful, and knowledgeable. They work hard, yes, but their passion for their work shines through. They love their work and you, the customer. You don't see that very often. Deep bow. The food was delicious, very special. All three courses were outstanding. I had the meat dish, and my wife had the vegetarian. Both were exceptionally delicious (and rich thanks to the variety). Beautiful atmosphere, great service, and delicious food. We were sitting with 3 people on the terrace, in the sun. We had a particularly delicious meal. Reservations are advisable. The restaurant was quite full. The food is quite expensive.

Last Saturday, with the beautiful weather, we sat outside on the terrace and enjoyed a delicious lunch. The service is very friendly and was ready to make it to our liking. It was so relaxed that we stayed until 16:30. The last time I was with you, somewhere in March with friends, we had dinner in the church. Delicious food in a beautifully maintained atmosphere, highly recommended

We went to eat with our daughter yesterday in this beautiful church. There are still many authentic elements to be found in the church. We chose a 4-course dinner. The starter consisted of a plank with courgette soup, carpaccio, pita bread with lamb and special tortilla chips with guacamole. A delicious fish in between. The main course was a fillet steak in wine sauce which tasted deliciously tender. Dessert consisted of a plank with strawberry mousse, crème brûlée and cream pastry plus an ice cream scoop. There was enough time between the courses. Unfortunately, we do not live nearby otherwise we would definitely come back more often.

I don't often give a maximum score but everything surrounding our "dinner" on the occasion of my wife's 60th birthday was really arranged down to the last detail, which made the planned surprise come into its own. We all had a delicious meal and enjoyed it, the requested adjustments to the menu went smoothly and the service was great! Thanks to everyone who made this possible in this beautiful location.

Had dinner with friends at your place last night and what an experience…great to see how this beautiful church has been turned into a restaurant. The staff is super friendly and there are enough people walking around who speak to you in a friendly way. The tomato soup was delicious and the carpaccio was good but a bit too warm…furthermore the meat dish of the day was delicious and the tournedos melted on your tongue so tender…for dessert the four of us ordered a platter with sweet treats for 2 people so that the four of us could enjoy it together…with a delicious cup of tea and coffee we ended the evening with you…we will definitely come back!

What a beautiful location! We have eaten in converted church buildings before and this is by far the most beautiful. Many authentic elements have been preserved, such as the pulpit and the organ. The building alone is worth a visit. We chose to be surprised with the 5-course menu. One of us eats gluten-free and that was no problem. For the starter, dessert and cheese board we were given a shared board with a number of dishes adapted. The fish and meat were delicious. The garnishes... meh... fries that were a bit limp, very sweet mayonnaise and a couscous salad that came straight from the refrigerator. I always look forward to the cheese board; as far as I'm concerned, the icing on the cake. Unfortunately it was all hard cheese straight from the fridge. There is still room for improvement. All in all; in terms of location, absolutely worth a visit. In terms of food... I wouldn't go for the 5 courses. The meat board that the neighbors had looked very tasty.

Our Church is a restaurant with a beautiful ambiance. The church of Hooge Zwaluwe has been converted into an impressive restaurant with a beautiful bar and an open kitchen, while retaining authentic details. The terrace at the front is also recommended when the weather is nice. Culinarily it doesn't mean much. The dishes on the menu are not very innovative, the presentation of the food is a bit messy (many shelves). The platter of starters was tasty (lentil soup with djintan, salmon with fennel, flatbread with soy beans and ricotta and a piece of plate cake with pumpkin and feta), but the plate cake was a bit dry. As an entree, a batter-coated and deep-fried red mullet. Again tasty, but an addition of ravigote or other sauce would probably have done the dish well. And it feels a bit of a shame to see such a tasty red mullet disguised as a gourmet. The main course was a piece of pork covered in pancetta on a slightly watery polenta. Good tender meat, yes. The dessert platter consisted of a bit of flat pistachio ice cream, delicious chocolate mousse with a sticky mini ice cream cone, an excellent pannacotta with berry sauce and a dry piece of cheesecake. The service is enthusiastic, caring and friendly, but the waiting time between dishes is a bit long. Price-quality, in my opinion, not quite as expected.

What a great place! This is now my second visit, and the restaurant exceeds my expectations every time. The atmosphere is great, the decoration is attractive and the food is delicious. What really stands out is the service. The hosts and hostesses make the difference - Danielle in particular deserves a special mention. Her spontaneity and 'nothing is too difficult' attitude create a hospitable atmosphere where you immediately feel at home. Lunch at Onze Kerk is really an excellent choice. What sets them apart from other restaurants is their own variation on the classic 'twelve o'clock'. Instead of offering a fixed dish, you can put together your own board exactly the way you want it. Whether you fancy a hearty Farmer's sandwich with a traditional beef croquette or would rather have some fries, there are many options available at Onze Kerk. We will definitely come here again soon!

Beautiful place. Friendly and sweet staff. Warm welcome and quick service. It was Thai evening and we were with 2 people. All dishes on the menu (this was a set menu) were delicious. The spring roll of the starter and the Tom Kha Kai soup were really delicious! I did expect that the other dishes would have been a bit more spicy, but perhaps it is too spicy or spicy for other people. All in all a good experience and we would like to come back for a different taste experience.

Nice location for lunch. I was not surprised by the food. I had a fish salad, I asked without beets but that didn't work. The capers mentioned on the menu were missing. It was more lettuce and beet than fish.

Simply a gem of a catering establishment. Extensive and carefully composed menu as well as an excellent drink selection. Atmospheric ambiance in a former church building. The staff is extremely customer-friendly, hospitable and also very professional. Suitable for all kinds of occasions. Extensive opening hours. Many facilities available. Wheelchair accessible and parking spaces nearby and free. Dogs - provided they are on a leash - are allowed. Enjoy with a capital G. This is an absolute must to visit.

After a disappointing booking with BijOns ( Lage Zwaluwe) for a high tea baby shower, I canceled it and called Our Church to see if they could do anything for us…. and yes, what a service, everything arranged at very short notice!!! The table was beautifully set, the food was delicious, beautifully laid out planks with savory to start and sweet to finish. Perfect from A to Z 👌. Friendly staff, nothing is too much. Top business that knows what entrepreneurship means... Happy with it and an unforgettable afternoon for our pregnant daughter!!!
