We love coming here and always feel at home. The regular staff is extremely friendly and polite; it feels like a warm welcome! We always give the food a good rating. So we're extremely satisfied!

We love coming here. The atmosphere, food, and service are always excellent. I would have loved to give 5 stars for everything. But a few weeks ago, we had a shared dining experience with 15 people. I would never do that again or recommend it. Just let everyone choose their own food; it's much better taken care of and more complete.

As always, the food was delicious. We started with the warm-smoked salmon and the tasty croquettes, and for the main course, we had the spare ribs. Both the starters and the main course were beautifully presented and delicious. The ribs fell off the bone, so tender and beautifully marinated. Keep up the good work, Donny! We are and will always be fans!

I used to give this place five stars, but unfortunately, it's gone downhill. We've been coming here for years. The menu has become less diverse, there's no more seasonal items, the flavors have diminished, and the side dishes have become fewer and fewer. It's a real shame.

The food was excellent, except for the incredibly sour rhubarb. It's a bit stingy that you have to pay extra for those prices. The wine was expensive, but delicious. The staff were friendly, though. For two people, we paid just under €100, excluding appetizers and dessert.

The restaurant is well-maintained, with delicious food and good service. We were there with a large group of about 30 people, with a young staff who knew how to tackle things. The price-performance ratio was a bit on the high side.

The food was delicious and the place looked inviting. So why weren't we satisfied? We received a three-course menu, as agreed upon for a group. But at checkout, everything was billed separately. Instead of €44.50 as stated on the website, we were charged €56. When we inquired, we were told we simply received a reduced menu. Well... sure. We just left it at that, but in the end, we felt ripped off.

With a group of 28, we were presented with a set menu. We chose our starter, main course, and later dessert. Not much choice, but for a large group, I understand. When paying, we had to pay for each dish separately. We paid a hefty sum per dish because there were no prices listed. (Total almost €60 per person.) But the next day I checked the website. A menu for €44.50. And when I asked, it was simply arranged that we pay separately. But then I told them what the price was. Many of us feel truly ripped off.

Last Sunday, five of us enjoyed a shared brunch at Pieter Poot restaurant in De Blesse. The restaurant was completely empty, which was a shame, but we understand it was due to the time of year. The restaurant itself was a cozy place. The food was tasty, but unfortunately, there wasn't enough of it. We politely pointed this out to the staff, but were told that what we had received was absolutely everything, and that it matched what was advertised on the website. This wasn't correct, as the website didn't contain any content. Currently, it says: "Brunch 2 share! Book this delicious brunch for two people or more, a selection of delicacies from our menu." For €19.50 per person, you'd expect us to leave with a full stomach, right? What we got was a cup of soup with a small roll, followed by cold dishes: goat cheese, a bit of shrimp salad, a carpaccio, and some fish. The portions per plate were probably intended for two people; with five people, there was very little left over. The hot dishes consisted of a small bun with a sausage and a four-cheese tart. We want to share this review to avoid disappointment for others. It was certainly delicious, but why not add a fresh, tasty roll, some ham and cheese, and we'd have solved the problem? We also find it a real shame that nothing was done on the spot to alleviate our disappointment. That wouldn't have been so difficult.

Always great food. We often come here with the kids because they can play in the basement. Highly recommended.

Beautiful, relatively new establishment. Easily accessible and ample parking on-site. Both inside and on the patio, there are great places to eat, party, enjoy with family, or even larger groups. Be sure to inquire about availability, and reservations are recommended. Excellent atmosphere and service.

We were very surprised upon arrival; it had a great atmosphere. We clearly stated that I can't handle spicy food, but unfortunately, the coconut limegrass was too spicy for me, although it tasted good. The same was true for the baked sweet potato and the leg of lamb, which fell off the bone. The service was friendly. However, when we paid, something went wrong: several wines and a liqueur were missing from the bill. Since we're "honesty lasts the longest," we pointed this out and added another €30 plus an extra tip, which we'd already given on the first bill, but unfortunately, there was no sign of gratitude. We found that disappointing! But we'd love to give you another chance and will definitely return. Tip from a fellow restaurant owner... If someone voluntarily returns to pay for the forgotten €30, please be a little more grateful!

Drinks didn't arrive until half an hour later. We had to get our own menus inside because that was already taking fifteen minutes. Lots of flies around the table. The staff didn't come to take orders after the menus had been on the table for 20 minutes. We didn't order anything else, a very poor restaurant. Owner's response: I explained to you that we had a problem with a receipt from another table. This response demonstrates the limited quality of the restaurant. Update: The owner's response is incorrect. The problem with the receipt from another table was resolved before then, after which we went inside to get the menus ourselves, and after waiting at the table for 20 minutes, still no order had been taken. It's also remarkable that there was time to respond to a negative review immediately, but no time to politely address guests or provide drinks and service on time. Very unprofessional and unfortunately only confirms the lack of customer service. (And the gentleman's quality 🤣)

What a terrible place this is. This was our second time here. The first time we weren't impressed, but this time it was even worse. The staff is disinterested and seemingly incompetent. There's a big, overweight, and slightly disheveled man walking around who's probably the boss. Instead of managing the staff, he's more busy responding rudely to people's bad reviews. It would be better if they took the reviews seriously. A spelling course wouldn't hurt, as that also leaves a lot to be desired. It does, however, clearly demonstrate the low quality of the place. Such a shame.

A welcoming restaurant where you can enjoy delicious food and the kids can play in the large play basement! Sit outside by the fire with a drink or play pool downstairs—we always have a great time! Pieter Poot is also perfect for hosting parties! We've experienced both! A top location!

I stumbled upon this place today while out touring with my wife. Although I was born and raised in the area, I'd never been here before. As my wife and I often do, we judged the cuisine by the chicken satay on offer. Well, if you can't make good satay, you won't make anything special with the rest. At least, that's our humble opinion. We couldn't say anything other than that it was simply excellent. A unique style, beautifully presented, and very tasty. The service is very friendly, and the atmosphere in the building and on the lovely terrace is fantastic. The restrooms are clean and fresh. I suspect we'll be here more often, for example, on a beautiful summer evening.

Great food and activities with a large group (booked in advance). Coffee/tea and a muffin at the beginning, and then there was suddenly no one behind the bar for 15 minutes, so a second cup of coffee was out of the question. The activities were fun, the dinner with barbecue was well organized, and the service during and after the activities was also really great. So still 4 stars.

We were having lunch with a large group. Children aged 2 and 3 were charged €19.50 for the small amount they ate. They were charged €3.45 per glass for the apple juice they drank, even though it could have been tapped at the buffet. When we were more or less forced to go downstairs and briefly stopped at the karaoke bar, we later discovered it had cost us €50. They suggested we get dessert, but it cost €10 each. The food was fine, but the bill was far too high.

The starters were delicious, but the main course was not. My spare ribs were on the lower end of the flavor spectrum and unfortunately gave me some stomach problems.

The food is fine, though the fries are a bit small if you're with children. The service is very friendly. Only the big boss felt the need to yell at the children in the arcade and tell them to "get lost." The atmosphere was somewhat spoiled after that.

Heel gezellig estaurant. We gingen voor een verjaardagsfeestje met kinderen en kleinkinderen. In de kelder was vanalles te doen voor jong en oud. Iedereen was enthuosiast. Ondertussen kregen we wat lekkere hapjes en een borrel. Daarna boven in het restaurant gegeten. We deden Shared Dinner met een gezelschap van 14 volwassenesn en 7 kleinkinderen . Half vegetarisch/ half gewoon. Het overtrof mijn verwachtingen. Super lekker vegetarische eten, eens wat anders dan doorsnee.. de rest was ook heel lekker vlgs de vleeseters. Snelle en goede bediening ook. In een woord ..Geweldig! voor herhaling vatbaar

We had a party there. The service was fantastic, and the food at the buffet was delicious and of excellent quality. There was also a very nice atmosphere.

The food was good. The bread platter beforehand wasn't great. We asked for everything to be brought out faster, but they didn't. Way too drawn out. It took three hours, and that with small children in tow. The room is very cozy, though.

Last year we had Christmas brunch which was great and extensive, this year it was a nasty disappointment, much less choice, no, not anymore, but I do go to Van de Valk, a bit more expensive but good quality

We come here a few times a year to eat and it is always great! Lots to do for the kids in the play basement. The VR escape room is also fun to have done once.

Had a company party there. Food was already ready. Everyone was eating. So we didn't eat anything. Couldn't talk normally because of the music. We just sat around drinking and partying. Not my thing at all.

Cozy restaurant and staff were friendly. It took way too long between the first and second courses. I was asked for a bowl of fried potatoes, but it never came. Also got the idea that later visitors received the food earlier. We expected more from the vegetables. 1 small bowl of carrots and 1 small bowl of rhubarb for 3 people. To compensate for all this, a cup of coffee was offered. But this was refused because we did not want to wait any longer

Simply great! Friendly service, delicious food, catch of the day was sea bass fillet. Lots of fresh vegetables, not ordinary! I love this kitchen!

Eten was wel goed op de wortels na die waren gewoon rauw. Maar we moesten om de menukaart vragen en duurde alles heel lang. Mensen die na ons kwamen en na mijn idee bekenden hadden wel gelijk een menukaart. We hebben een half uur op ons dessert moeten wachten. Ze hadden niet genoeg menukaarten zeiden ze. Bijna twee uur aan de tafel voor alleen een hoofdgerecht en toetje vind ik best lang.

Once again a delicious meal. Reserved a spot late in the afternoon. Well received on arrival, something to drink quickly and a bread platter served. Main course followed quickly and tasted delicious again. The children will have a great time in the play cellar. At desert our birthday son got a nice fire fountain in his ice cream 👌🏻 Until next time Small point of criticism: I miss a drinks menu

Heerlijk op de camping en eten aan de overkant. Heerlijk eten, de de watermeloen tartaar verrassend lekker . Scholfilet heerlijk zacht . De entrecote mooie garing , de ravioli verrukkelijk , ik ging voor de schnitzel met champignons roomsaus ook heerlijk , maar schnitzel denk ik aan Oostenrijk, groot dun en krokant, deze was voor mijn belevenis te klein. Ca 150 gram . Bij gerechten waren prima Personeel vriendelijk en vakbekwaam . Zeker een aanrader .

Pieter Poots offers very good food and drink for moderate prices. Full bar. Indoor and outdoor seating options. Great event facility! Plentiful on-site parking. Downstairs play area for kids. Staff is very professional and top-notch.

Lovely restaurant for lunch with a nice terrace from which you can watch the gondolas and boats sail by. The food served comes partly from our own store and is also of good quality. The service is certainly multilingually trained and that also helps the many tourists.

We are at the camper place and with the dog, we thought pick-up was better. Dogs were welcome so we ate unlimited spareribs. Everything was delicious. The service was smooth and the staff was nice. Definitely recommended if you are at the camper place.

There were five of us in the town of De Blesse in Friesland. There is restaurant Pieter Poot. It is a nicely decorated restaurant. The service ran smoothly and they know well which wine to recommend with which dish. When the weather becomes nice, you can sit comfortably on the terrace. You can have beautiful bike rides. Parking is free.

What a nice restaurant and great service. Excellent kitchen. Also did a VR game. All in all we had a nice evening.

We dined here with a group from work. The food was good especially their salads. They only had one vegetarian dish to choose from but that’s fine I guess. The service was friendly but a bit slow. There was a long period between each dish which was for me personally a bit too long. But this could also be related to the big group we were.

Zeker geen locatie om snel aan voorbij te rijden. Nu twee maal hier een hapje gegeten. Eenmaal lunch. Eenmaal diner. Leuke kaart. Lekker eten. Vlotte bediening en vooral leuke bediening. Dat maakt toch echt wel een verschil. Hier komen wij zeker nog een keer terug.

Stayed there in the B&B, this restaurant is within walking distance from there. Both my girlfriend and I had a delicious meal. As a starter I had a delicious carpaccio and as a main course a super tender round steak. Asked for rare and it was. Truly delicious. Service great and atmosphere also very good 🥰

Erg leuk en smakelijk! Gedurende de zomer al eens gegeten op het terras. Welke zeer in de smaak viel. Nu op een druilerige dinsdagavond eind oktober, zomaar even hapje eten. Vlotte, gezellige, bediening. Zeer smakelijk eten. Leuke aankleding. Kortom een aanrader!

Wir hatten die Spare Rips, waren nicht schlecht, aber es geht besser. Es war noch sehr viel von der nicht essbaren Haut an den Rippchen, was es uns etwas schwierig gemacht hat. Ansonsten ist es ein tolles Restaurant und sehr zu empfehlen.
