Cozy restaurant with a reasonable price

Great food and very friendly service. It's a bit off the highway, but well worth the effort.

After a long day away, we lit up at the Stoof. The kitchen was actually just closed, but the man was easygoing and provided 3 schnitzels with fried potatoes and my boy also got some poffertjes. We sat down at the bar to eat comfortably, had a few drinks. Really cozy to sit down for a while. Good address for good food and a chat.

Driven past often but never been inside. Until tonight! What a surprise this was. Had a delicious meal and super friendly staff! The prices here are great too! We will definitely be back again. 😍

A gem among truckers' cafes! Friendly people, reasonable prices, delicious fresh food, clean restrooms that are open all night. And...no sleepless nights because of roaring refrigeration engines (sorry, refrigeration guys). But I understand you can also park in the industrial estate nearby. I hope to be back soon.

Good, traditional German cuisine in a beautiful setting. The staff was very friendly and spoke excellent German, which was a great advantage for us... thank you so much! The food was freshly prepared and delicious, just like Mom's cooking. A welcome change from the typical "fast food" you usually get. It will definitely be worth a visit whenever I'm in the area again. Thanks again!

It's wonderful that it still exists... a great place to stop for a cup of coffee, lunch, or a hot meal. And you can even stay overnight for just €3.50, including a shower and coffee. The hostess makes it all perfect; we'd love to come back.

A quick stop after 200+ km through the Northern Netherlands in temperatures of 7-9 degrees Celsius... You're in the mood for some warmth and a delicious lunch. Upon arrival, a few men were sitting at the bar, and we were warmly welcomed by the owner 💪. We both had a warm meatball on bread, nice and warm inside, and an exceptionally friendly young lady who took excellent care of us. Absolutely recommended 👍 (if truck drivers like coming here, you know it's got to be good!) With a full stomach and warmed up, we hopped back on the bike. If we ever pass by here again, we'll definitely stop by for a tasty bite.

Just had a delicious meal at De Stoof. Good food, good service, nice cozy place, the meatballs are incredibly tasty and highly recommended.

I've rarely had such a delicious cheese board and schnitzel, truly more than delicious for a very good price. Highly recommended. The only downside is that the beers could have been refilled a bit faster, but that's a minor point.

Nice little restaurant, cozy and very friendly

Super cozy truckers' cafe, the owner and staff are always up for a laugh. The parking lot is small, but there's room for 5 or 6 vehicles. There's also a shower; you get a card with the door code on it, which looked good. There were even toiletries you could use.

Well here we go, not nice, ordered schnitzel with fried potatoes and lettuce today. Got unfried potatoes only rolled in butter and the breading of the schnitzel was also still pale. After I complained, explained that this was unacceptable to me and would get a new plate. Then got exactly the same unfried potatoes and schnitzel again. When I asked the staff do you eat this yourself at home, I got the answer no. Why do you put it on my table then, it was said that no one complained. Pfffff. Not good, never come here again.

I will start by saying that I work all over the country, and today I was in Wolvega, I was quite hungry and as always I look for a nice place to eat, and this was it, I didn't have much break time so I called in advance to see if they could start with my dish, I got a very nice lady on the line who started with my dish right away, when I came in my food was ready in a moment, you can't start better, and then the food arrived, I didn't expect much for €10+- but man oh man, you get a lot for your money and it is also nicely presented, the soup was really delicious, the egg on bread was delicious with tasty ham & cheese on it, finally a croquette sandwich which was also a big fine, and you also get a nice salad on your plate. All in all a big 10, location easily accessible, ample parking, and you get good and tasty food, and nice employees, until next time : )

Delicious meal for 12 hours...very friendly service

For everyone (truck drivers, tourists, fathers and mothers, grandfathers and grandmothers (with or without grandchildren) to get off the highway for a while to have a nice bite to eat and drink in a very friendly atmosphere for a great price. Whether it's a full meal, a snack, or just a drink. It doesn't matter at all. It's a great place to be. And: free parking next to the door.

Found this cute “away-from-home restaurant” by chance. The owner is very helpful and accommodating. You are immediately greeted with friendliness and the car drivers even park their cars for trucks. There is a nice, clean shower with toilet for truck drivers. No extra charge! I'm here with the Felbermayr truck, so there's enough space for special transports. Of course with moderation and purpose, it will be tight for even larger chassis. ;) The city with a number of shopping opportunities can also be reached on foot within 20 minutes. I am extremely excited and more than satisfied. I will definitely come here again on my next transport to the Netherlands.

Cozy and cozy restaurant, friendly, hospitable and affordable!

Take a break in this attractive, warm eatery. Top furnished with good chairs, no hard planks. My bouncer was top notch, as was the stew for my wife with a large piece of smoked sausage, even their own gravy, they had taken care of. Not unimportant, delicious coffee that was nice and hot, not the lukewarm one that they make everywhere. Highly recommended for everyone Gr Albert and Els

Called at 6:30 PM to say I could be there at 7:30 PM, no problem, always welcome and come have another meal. Code for shower/toilet. I will definitely come back and can highly recommend this roadside restaurant.

Beautiful trucker café. Large truck combinations can park here very easily. And if you have eaten here once, you will definitely come back. Especially when you ride such a large combination. Recommended for transport in the Netherlands.

The food was good value for money.. Unfortunately, they had mixed up our order with another one... this meant that our food took a little longer, as our son almost fell asleep and we asked if the fries were ready... the waitress did not communicate this in a customer-friendly manner... the chef resolved this well afterwards during serving it.

Yesterday we spontaneously sat down on the terrace at the Stoof. We received a great welcome and what was even better was a delicious meal. Thank you very much and you will see us again soon.

Perfect place, wonderfully quiet off the highway. Space for 4-5 trucks, but there is great consideration when it is full. A little further there is a transport company where you can always park after consultation. Super friendly pub owner, delicious food for normal prices. Good shower, located in a separate driver's cabin with toilet and coffee maker, which is accessible all night long. There had to be many more! Until the next!

We've been driving past it for years and we thought: now we'll have lunch there. That was very disappointing... during the 12 hours a large part of the soup had gone over the sandwiches. The hamburger was “cardboard”… no, we were probably unlucky, but we won't be back
