Restaurant Pomphuis & hapjesenzocatering in Ede-Oost

Such a shame it's going away and it was our farewell dinner. So many memories of being there over all those years.

In short: it was a big disappointment. The service simply didn't have it in order: from placing (not) seating to only receiving a menu after half an hour; recording of drinks was out of step with when the food arrived; the desserts were not served at the same time and these are just some examples. Perhaps the service can regain time and overview by not walking to the tables with all the drinks, but by using a tray (in any case neater and cleaner than walking through the (large) room with separate glasses). Quality of the dishes was substandard. Quinoa and goat cheese starter was bland and dry. The duck leg confit was tough and more like old chicken. The sticky toffee dessert should also be reconsidered: it was not even close to a sticky toffee.

Nicely decorated. Quite noisy, especially with larger groups. Service occasionally arrogant. Entrecote is not recommended. Tough and lots of strings. It's bizarre not to serve regular tap water in carafes. Money grab!! The suggestion to properly preheat the plates when serving the main course was given a clumsy answer. Too bad the diamond hare gets cold quickly. Short: Not worth repeating.

Top service, food was delicious. 5 course dinner was delicious. The last dishes were not as great as the first 3. This was my first time raw tartare and every bite was a great experience. But dessert made up for it. Wine was really great.

We think the 5-course surprise menu with wine pairing is a success every time!

Delicious meal 3 courses. And my table companion 4 (surprise menu). First of all, what a beautiful ambiance and friendly staff. The food was really delicious in taste and composition. There was no salt/pepper on the table. Wasn't necessary either. There was more than enough time between courses. And no, if you expect it to be cheap, then you shouldn't eat here. If you think I want to experience very tasty and special food, then this is the right location! Highly recommended. And when you arrive, the outside is just as beautiful!

I really liked it last summer, but now I found it disappointing. Too bad there is salt from the supermarket on the table. Meat tasted very much like broth and was not seasoned. I also think 14.50 for fries and frikandel for a child is a good price.

Choice stress! Everything is tasty! Third time I ate here and it was delicious again. Should come here more often! This is really a restaurant rather than an eatery. Perfect food with great service (nice and informal but not too friendly) and a very pleasant atmosphere. Sat outside for the first time, didn't even know they had such a nice cozy terrace! Ordered the pump house shell in advance. Tasty bits of everything! As a main course, my wife had a super deliciously cooked lamb fillet and I opted for the catch of the day, a delicious piece of salmon. There was again no choice for dessert, so fortunately here again a "little bit of everything", the tasting (so to speak Grand dessert). Eating out here is really a night out!!

What a terribly bad restaurant. Ambience resembles a drivers cafe. Guests walk through the kitchen to smoke outside. If you think you are ordering a nice 4-course menu, the quality is good, chew well and rinse with water. Shame!

Super good food and perfect service. I enjoyed the evening immensely. The service is extremely friendly and good. And the food was delicious. We will definitely come back here again! My only tip: the plumbing could use an update to 2024 ;)

Very cozy restaurant, almost a bit small-scale. Map is not that extensive, but it is broad. Dishes tasted excellent and were well prepared and beautifully served. You get value for your money. The staff is friendly, close and yet not intrusive.

We had a delicious and pleasant meal on the terrace. What an atmosphere. Moreover, the service was extremely pleasant. Parking is and remains 'a thing'. Luckily there were places across the street (we ate there in the evening so the offices were closed).

Had a fantastic meal tonight! The preparation, taste and further care of the dishes were all in tip top condition. The service is super competent, correct, does it with pleasure and clearly knows what they are doing, which makes dining out very relaxing, wonderful! In our opinion, one of the better (or perhaps even best) restaurants in Ede and the surrounding area.

One of the best restaurants in Ede for an extensive evening meal. Beautiful dishes, great service and the most beautiful terrace in the area. Also very attractive inside. The 5-course surprise menu is highly recommended, but a less extensive dinner is also definitely worthwhile.

Good Food and atmosphere. There friendly service could be a bit more attentive, an illness in the kitchen slowed things down considerably. Still, we had a nice dinner.

Had dinner with our family for the first time. We were very curious about what the service and food would be like given the varying reviews. We went home satisfied. The food was good, the plates were nicely presented and the portions were large enough for us. The service was friendly and enthusiastic. It was also not noisy and there was plenty of space between the tables.

Mediocre overall. Food was really bad

I visit the pump house once or twice a year. Usually in May. I am very satisfied. The chef has also paid a lot of attention to the vegetarian 5-course menu. Unfortunately, a nice non-alcoholic wine (preferably with some bubbles) was missing.

Had a fantastic evening. A truly delicious vegetarian 5-course menu in a cozy atmosphere, which was also reasonably priced. It is not very easy to create 5 courses vegetarian, balanced and challenging, but this chef succeeds excellently. By the way, the 'regular' variant, with meat and fish, is just as tasty as we were led to believe by our table companion. Service was extremely correct and fortunately informal, so the atmosphere remains somewhat casual.

We always go for the 5-course dinner. And this time we once again had an excellent meal in a very pleasant atmosphere!

Portions were quite small. I ate three courses and had a cracker at home. Even though I'm not a big eater. It was a cold day and you could feel it inside, I thought it was very fresh. The lighting in the rear area is a bit bright. Service attentive and friendly, absolutely fine. Food tasty and neatly presented.

Vanavond voor het eerst bij het pomphuis gegeten. We zijn hartelijk ontvangen en daarna in een warme sfeervolle omgeving gegeten. Goede bediening en kwaliteit is zeer goed. Niets op aan te merken. Ga zo door. Groetjes uit Tiel

Heel fijne ambiance. Verrassingsmenu zeer de moeite waard (enkel de bloemkoolsaus was niet bij iedereen een succes, verder prachtige combinaties). Mooi opgemaakte gerechten met exotische combinaties en soms onnavolgbare namen van ingrediënten. Vegetarische opties vielen in de smaak. Dessert een heel waardige afsluiter. Bediening jong, vlot en toeschietelijk. Fijne avond uit.

Onlangs een 5-gangen verrassingsdiner gehad - elk gerecht was top. De bediening was vriendelijk en relaxt. Atmosfeer en kwaliteit zitten helemaal goed.

Een sfeervolle locatie met een uitgebreide kaart. De service is goed en er wordt goed ingespeeld op wensen van de gasten.

Was weer heel aangenaam. Fijn in de tuin op het terras gedineerd. Heerlijke gerechten, fijne bediening, blijft een aanrader.

Hood food, nice Restaurant, a bit noisy but still ok

Mooie locatie, vlotte en vriendelijke bediening, schone toilletten maar vooral super lekker eten. Iets duurder maar wel helemaal in orde.

Opzich prima, echter prijs kwaliteit verhouding is niet in evenwicht.

Gezellige sfeer, bij drukte kan het wat lawaaierig zijn. Kwaliteit van het eten is perfect. De bediening is vriendelijk en zeer efficiënt.

Geweldig gegeten. Heerlijke ambiance, goede bediening, fijne akoestiek en bovenal geweldig eten. Echt een ervaring!

Met 4 personen heerlijk gegeten. Zowel voor- als hoofdgerechten erg smakelijk, mooi opgemaakt. Zonder uitzondering vaardige en heel aardige bediening. Sfeer in oude brandweer gebouw altijd fijn en ondanks vele tafels prettig dineren. Zeker weer terug.

Leuk, gezellig en sfeervol restaurant. Recent heb ik er samen met mijn vriendin gegeten. Het viel mij op dat de binnenkant van het restaurant groter was dan het aan de buitenkant leek. Naast het eten was de bediening ook goed en netjes. Het eten was goed, op smaak en met liefde bereid. De chef, of de gene, die verantwoordelijk was voor de gerechten wist mij bij elk gerecht te verassen. Het 3-gangen verassingmenu was goed en gebalanceerd opgezet. Dus: zoek je een restaurant met een sfeervolle ambiance en met een Franse-fusion keuken dan zit je bij Pomphuis.

Wij hebben er echt heerlijk gegeten. Sfeer is heel erg goed en service ook. Een aanrader om gezellig met z,n 2 goed te eten. Of met een groepje vrienden.

We hebben hier het verrassingsmenu gegeten en wat was het lekker! Ze luisteren goed naar je wensen/allergieën, het personeel is kundig, netjes en duidelijk. De sfeer in het restaurant is echt heel fijn en lekkere stoelen om op te zitten. Mini minpuntje, ik vond de tafel net iets te hoog maar het is ook niet netjes om met je armen op tafel te leunen volgens mij dus misschien was het wel daarom ;). De gerechten waren ontzettend lekker, echt weer dingen gegeten die ik normaal niet zou bestellen maar gewoon echt heel lekker zijn. Kortom ik vind het een aanrader voor iedereen om hier een keer te gaan eten!

Een paar maanden geleden erg lekker gegeten, gisteravond was het teleurstellend, gegrilde dorado was niet gegrild, slap, overgaar en smakeloos. Jammer.

Fantastische culinaire ervaring bij het Pomphuis in Ede! Zo eentje waar je nog lang over napraat. Sfeervol interieur, mooie, smaakvolle gerechten en leuke bediening. We hebben gekozen om wat gerechten te delen, om zo alles te kunnen proeven. De bisque en eend waren ZO lekker! Ook de bijpassende wijnen waren top! Aanrader dus 10/10
