Steaks & zo We Love Carpaccio in Ede-Oost

While enjoying Sunday drinks at Museumplein, we decided to try Steaks&Zo again. A quick call, and miraculously, there was still room. When we got there, it was quite full, but the kitchen remained fast. We enjoyed delicious tapas and 12 rounds of delicious dishes. The staff was great, efficient, and friendly. Until next time!

The atmosphere was good! The starters were good! Our main course (steak) was probably bland. We had mentioned this, but unfortunately, they didn't bring any. Our house steak tastes better 😊. And we only got one portion of fries instead of two, even though we ordered two separate dishes.

SUPER! Delicious food and a lot of choice

We had a nice meal here with friends. It was busy, but the service was quick and friendly. The dishes are a good size and taste good. Worth repeating. A few minor points, the plates and bowls were not cleared and it was very warm in the restaurant.

The carpaccio is delicious and we also had delicious things from the tapas menu (recommended for dessert is 'grandma's cake batter'. We ate a la carte a few times now and tapas once. We enjoyed it all the time, except for the last time when everything went wrong; we made a reservation for a la carte, but they thought it was tapas. So the service never came (so they didn't ask if they had been there before and therefore knew how to order tapas). Then we got the wrong drinks, had to ask for cutlery a few times, a starter that never came... Spareribs that were really not tender this time. In the end we got the desserts on the house, which is a nice gesture. We will definitely come here again, the previous times everything was fine, so luckily this wasn't our first experience.

Excellent price/quality ratio, good service by friendly staff, waiting time between rounds not long and nice ambiance. Definitely recommended for a cozy evening with delicious food.

Yeah, just no passion in this place. Food wasn't great, young guys as staff weren't super involved either. Boiled and (what it looked like) then fried spareribs Carpaccio with more sauce than you got on your frilandel special and that mega finely grated bit of like tasting parmesan. Maybe they have better days but even for the small price they ask this wasn't it, sorry, not worth repeating.

We did not like the food a la carte. Even when we mentioned it, they did not ask if it could be renewed. The spare ribs were rock hard. There was a lot of fat on it. Waste of money

The carpaccio was very tasty, which was a shame: there were so many seeds hidden under the rocket that you could give 10 parrots indigestion with it.

The food was of poor quality and very disappointing. The steaks were dry and tough. Several tapas were mediocre/poorly prepared. Considering the price, which is far too high, this really cannot be such poor quality. Been once and I won't go here again.

I've eaten there several times and haven't left a review yet... The food is good! Enough choice! I usually always order the prawns, only once they made a mistake and I got small shrimps... they handled this well afterwards. I really like the atmosphere in the restaurant, the music is not too loud and the interior is nice.

Nice all-you-can-eat with table service! For us, the desserts were the highlight of the evening, especially Grandma's cake batter. Furthermore, the food is good, hot and delivered quickly.

Excellent food. It really is an all you can eat concept, so don't expect a culinary high standard. The service is young but friendly, the atmosphere in the restaurant is good. Great to spend an evening here.

Had a wonderful evening in this restaurant. Food was very good, lots of variety on the Tapas menu. The service was more than good. Dishes were served quickly after ordering. It was our first introduction, but it leaves us wanting more.

Concept is comparable to various sushi chains and snack/tapas places: you order your food and drinks via an app after scanning a QR code. Ate here last week. Steaks & such had substandard service (took 20 minutes before we could even order, empty glasses were not collected, cutlery turned out to be missing, so we had to walk to the bar to ask for this). It's the little things, but the accumulation of these really struck us. In terms of food: lots of choice (perhaps too much, because not everything is of equal quality). Eating small portions, with an excessive amount of sauce on the different carpaccios. Top: the oriental carpaccio, the magnum of salmon, the veal carpaccio and the oasis sausage on toast. The desserts are also recommended. Remove from the menu (or adjust the recipe): the cheese gnocci, the amount of sauce on the carpaccios (less=more), and the nachos. The sparerib also had little Jack Daniel's flavor...

Been here for the 2nd time recently, but even more disappointed than the first time. The prawns tasted of nothing, nor did the steak. If a steakhouse cannot yet serve a tasty piece of meat, in my opinion you are completely missing the point. Wouldn't go here again.

Spontaneously walked in on Boxing Day for an early dinner. Was actually fully booked, but thanks to the thoughtful input of the staff and an adapted menu, I was still able to enjoy a delicious meal. Thanks again!

You all order different small dishes on a platter. 2 per round and unlimited. All quite tasty. Sometimes you have to wait quite a while for your next order due to crowds, but if you are sitting comfortably this is not such a problem.

Please contact the restaurant to arrange a new date. Just called. You get a lady on the phone who has a short fuse and comes across as very bitchy. There are no more tables for 2 people only for 4 people and therefore the reservation has been cancelled. So they are only concerned with raking in so much money instead of offering people a nice culinary evening, which is what the catering industry stands for. Ah nice.... You say that you don't think this is possible and that they only want to rake in money. That you don't think this is possible and therefore put a negative review online about it. You will quickly get someone else on the line. The person in question immediately reports that this does not matter, because they will ensure that the negative reviews disappear 😂😂😂 This is certainly possible, just not via Google reviews. It's a shame that you are treated in such a way, while 'new guests' would like to discover your restaurant. Hopefully there will be a lot less now. Because, well, it's all about making money, right.....

Staff very friendly. Unfortunately, the wrong dishes arrived so some of us had to wait and we couldn't eat at the same time. To make matters worse, there was a very long blonde hair in my daughter's food. Got free coffee.

Have you ever eaten a better steak, but everyone has their own taste. For the rest it was doable.

Great restaurant. Very crazy; actually 2 restaurants in one. After the friendly welcome you have to choose from 2 menus. We chose the tapas menu. You could then order 2 small dishes per person in an unlimited number of rounds. That was done via an app. After the friendly welcome we didn't speak to anyone anymore. There were just people walking past putting down dishes and clearing plates. Therefore 4 stars for service. The pace is good, you don't have to wait long and the next order can be taken out after 10 minutes. 1 dish was terrible, melon with oarma ham. The dressing did not suit the melon at all to my taste. The rest were tasty and very tasty dishes. That only makes you want to try more. After 9 rounds we reached our limit and we went home very satisfied.

Recently had dinner with 4 people. Cozy atmosphere and good food. Wide choice and the concept of ordering by phone took some getting used to, but ultimately I liked it. We will definitely come back again for a pleasant evening.

At this restaurant you can choose from a la carte or the unlimited tapas menu. We opted for the unlimited tapas and you can order 2 dishes per person via your own telephone with a QR code. You can also order 1 extra side dish per person. The desserts are included and can also be ordered unlimited. The carpaccios on offer are all very tasty and the portions are the right size so that you can order many different dishes. However, the food is not very special or very tasty. You could say it's okay. Some dishes are lukewarm/cold when they arrive at the table, which is not the intention. Too bad they can't keep the quality high with so much competition in Ede. The desserts are very tasty and I advise you to pay enough attention to them. The staff are friendly and helpful and work very hard. The decor is nice and the chairs comfortable. Everyone at the table receives a "sandwich" with herb butter upon arrival, but this is a gigantic Italian roll that you never finish. Way too big! Some dishes have a lot of sauce, such as garlic steak. And the spring rolls and croquettes have no sauce at all (see photos), which I think is a strange choice by the chef. Nice to eat tapas here but there are better choices

Personally, I find the food disappointing. My carpaccio was brown and cut way too thick, so I chewed it for half an hour. Steak was well cooked but relatively little flavor. The other half had better carpaccio.

Delicious food, but a pity that there is only a small message on Facebook that the savings campaign has stopped. We went at the end of October and still received stamps and if you only come twice a year and don't check Facebook, you have saved useless money. They should have converted this into digital points, after all we saved and spent that money. We drove an hour to this restaurant and could go an extra time cheaper. It's a shame that this isn't better arranged, it really detracts from the experience.

Prawns were tasty but a bit plain without a piece of bread or sauce. Veal entrecote was well prepared and the service was very caring and friendly.

Food is always good, little that could be better, but never a rare tasty memory. You can take this in a negative light, but not having to worry about stability and that it is always good anyway, can also weigh heavily on the choice in restaurant... and in that respect they are certainly good. And those few little things that you (possibly) raise will be resolved for you with love and a smooth appearance Oh yes, I have never had to wait there for something I felt ;)

Food is delicious, good price-quality ratio. The desserts are also fantastic. It's nice that the menu changes every now and then, and that they ask visitors via Facebook what they would like to see coming and going in terms of food and desserts. Staff is extremely friendly! And the atmosphere is always good. What's also nice is that you can eat here at your leisure because the only time there is closing time. So no pushing that the next one is already waiting for you. We like to drive more than an hour to have a nice meal here.

Delicious food but hopeless staff. Lady literally came to us with the words "You are only allowed 2 dishes per person and then you have already been told but you don't listen" Seriously???? No chance if you can order 8 things via the app and 4 things are delivered incorrectly with dishes that I am allergic to. Apologies madam customer! Can she still learn something here after years of catering experience? You were indeed not listening to this. We handle allergens with extreme caution, but we do need to know this. Have a nice weekend. Not listening is again pointed out by this owner, although this is really not the customer's problem and the concept may not have been clear. Besides that, who on earth addresses their customers like that? The lady came to our table once and had her colleague's story second hand. Are we children of 12? Sad when people want a nice night out. Read: This customer paid promptly despite this absurd behavior by the owner. Do what you want with it. We don't come here anymore. This will not change, the attitude will not change and if you get an allergic reaction to something you did not order... then it is also the customer's fault. Just so you know. Dangerous to life.

28-02-2024: Had a discount card that was valid until February 29. Chose tapas menu again. Another delicious meal, but I am now pregnant and there is a lot of choice, of course, but the other side is that I now chose dishes that I would otherwise choose less quickly, so I had a different variety of flavors. Everything was to your liking again! 21-10-2023: Went to eat here again, this time with a group of 11. We had a great time and enjoyed our meal! Using the QR is convenient, don't bother ordering drinks, just fill it in in the app and it will arrive quickly. Old review: Chosen the 'We Love Carpaccio' menu. So much choice, all in tapas format. Not just carpaccio. We had a delicious meal. In addition, operating it via a QR code is also super handy. They had 2 purple drinks especially for Heideweek. Both very tasty.

Ordered steak with mushrooms & onion and first received a garilc steak instead of the steak with mushrooms & onion. 10 minutes later I received the correct order, I ordered a red steak and received a steak that was well done. The mistake was acknowledged after which we received a free drink, not the Bacardi, but the Coke the first and last time I come here.

It was a nice evening. The atmosphere of the restaurant was very nice, and everyone was very nice! If you haven't been here yet, they are happy to explain how it works. The cocktails were great! The two of us really like to come here relatively often (about 10 times a year). The carpaccio menu has so much variety that you can go often without always eating the same thing. The only downside is that we could no longer use our almost full savings card with points because it has been converted to a digital system, which could have been a bit better, especially for regular guests. The place was nice and calm, the food was tasteless and the quality was too low in relation with the price. The beef of the burger was like the meat of frikandel and the mixed grill was mediocre. The staff was kind.

Super goed dat kleine hapjes geserveerd worden die via een smartphone besteld kunnen worden. Het eten zelf was heerlijk.

De bediening duurde te lang en de spareribs waren droog en zat haast geen geen vlees aan
