Extremely unprofessional. Our reservation was cancelled one hour before arrival, with no meaningful explanation or attempt to accommodate us elsewhere or reschedule. If you’re making plans here, be aware that your reservation may not be honored.

Below expectations. Service was also poor, with glasses constantly empty.

Nice restaurant, friendly staff. The food, especially the meat, is also high quality, and you pay a reasonable price. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Restaurant Pompstation deserves all five stars, thanks in large part to manager Jiri Simons. He has a wonderful atmosphere, is a great resource, and makes everyone feel at home. The service was fast, professional, and yet very warm. The food was delicious, and Simons' excellent guidance made it a fantastic evening. I will definitely be back!

Incredible crew wonderful customer service, food flavors, your tastebuds want more. From Texas, & the Brisket is to die For, bang bang. Everyone was happy, & I found a new favorite Brisket place in Netherlands, PompStation, myself and my wheelchair were safetly in, I could smell meat & I got beef brisket. Better than Ray’s brisket in its own ways, you don’t need sauce on your meats, here at PompStation & Ray’s BBQ Texas

Started with a great wine with awesome jazz / bossa nova live music, moved to a very good t-bone ( shared with friends ) and has a blast on the tiramisu! Service was also perfect! The vibe of the place is something difficult yo get in Amsterdam, lots of space, with good music in a relaxing setting... Really recommend!

Unfortunately we didn’t have a nice experience. We were having a bachelorette evening with a very small group. The two stars are for the live music and the ambience of the place which was beautiful. We were seated, the waiter asked if we wanted water, left and didn’t come back. The next waitress gave us a winecard and a card for other drinks didn’t exist apparently and left. We waited for a while and then asked for a menu card ourselves. ( btw it was a dinner reservation in the evening) We chose our dishes and drinks ( had no bartender so no cocktails) The food came, the drinks were still missing, a food order was missing as well. The waitress said she would bring the missing food item right away, which didn’t happen. Drinks weren’t served and we finished our food. I had to walk to the bar to tell them we would like to pay ( which a lot of guests had to do). The waitress already took the drinks of the receipt, but didn’t apologise, she said they are short staffed…. If you want a nice evening with good service I wouldn’t record coming here.

Service extremely slow and really difficult to grab waitress’ attention. It took us almost an hour to get our first course. Mussels portion is also really small. The live band was the only positive experience of the evening.

Something went wrong, which resulted in a very long wait. We had a large group. Portions were small; the steak, baby potatoes, and fries were served after the main course was finished. The tiramisu wasn't anything special.

A beautiful location. Bonus: live jazz at speakeasy volume on Friday evening. Fantastic! Vitello Tonnato was the starter. Truly sublime. Beautiful veal, interesting tuna mousse, with a strong reduced jus that—interestingly enough, because it's not really supposed to be—worked very well. Waiter 1 was very friendly and certainly knowledgeable about wines. Absolutely perfect. Main course: a sirloin steak with chimchurri, and my companion a lady steak. Also very good—perfectly cooked with delicious sauces. Waiter 2 was unfortunately not knowledgeable and couldn't offer any advice. The salad with Parmesan and citrus dressing contained very nice and fresh ingredients. Unfortunately, no Parmesan, and no citrus dressing. I mentioned it to waiter 2, who mumbled something like "too bad" and walked away. No alternative was offered. Dessert: we would have liked a sgroppino or something similar. "We don't have that," and waiter 2 left again, again without offering an alternative. Meanwhile, waiters 1, 3, 4, and 5 were behind the bar, and there was no one left serving. I asked for the bill, which unfortunately still had the salad on it. After a comment about it, waiter 3 immediately deleted it, even though he honestly had no idea why, because waiter 2 hadn't given me anything. So, it seems like a "standard" thing. In short: a fantastic location, with a top-notch kitchen crew, and service that still managed to end the evening on a sad note.

Pleasant, modern ambiance. Great service, and the food a true feast for the palate. What more could you want?!?

A brilliant find where the setting is the main attraction. The food is certainly strong, though it plays a supporting role to the captivating experience of the venue itself.

We had a private event here, all was well arranged. The food arrived to all of us at the same time and was served at the good temperature. The ambiance was pleasant and comfortable.

Very bad experience. Had to order several times our dishes and wine. Then we finally received only the frites after approaching the waiter it took ages again until something came. We were busy to correct and ask the waiter the entire evening to get us our ordered food. Very poor quality, non attentive and didn’t know what they do.

Unique building, delicious food. The vitello tonato and the roasted cauliflower are especially recommended.

We had a reservation at 19:00 (so quite early) and when we wanted to order the special of the day that was proposed to us when we ordered drinks earlier they told us that it was already sold out. Then around 20:30 we wanted to get cocktails they told us we couldn’t get some because it was „too busy“. Also the food arrived 2 hours after we ordered it. I’m sorry but we were there on a Friday and this is pure miscalculation. How can you not budget people wanting the food or cocktails on a Friday night? Why does it take so long to prepare normal dishes? They also forgot to bring us 2 glasses of wines that we ordered - so unfortunately pure incompetence. Sad, because the food is actually decent

We had a fantastic meal. We also had some really good cocktails. (The bartender, Tim, was great!)

Overall, a nice location and reasonably good food. Some dishes were tasty. The fish of the day, halibut, was a bit flat and lacking in flavor. Unfortunately, something went wrong with the bill. The server accidentally overcharged me €400, and I noticed it too late. That can happen, although it was a bit sloppy. They promised to fix it and refund the money. That took another 30 minutes, and the debit card was refunded. This can take four days, and then I was asked to pay the bill anyway, so all in all, that would have been a charge of over €1,000. Of course, I wasn't interested and had to insist that I wasn't planning on doing this. The next day, it was credited to my account, so I requested to pay for dinner. I called twice, and the gas station promised twice. The next day again, and finally, it was sorted. Mistakes can happen, but the fact that the restaurant refuses to take any responsibility for the error bothers me the most. It's all a bit sloppy. Even though I've been promised not to be called back, it really bothers me to just be able to pay. Strange behavior.

Really nice venue, the place is beautiful. The food is really good and Salvatore was very kind and did a great job. Highly recommended!

Afgelopen vrijdag bij het Pompstation gegeten. De accommodatie is uitstekend, voldoende gelegenheid om buiten te eten. Personeel behulpzaam en de kwaliteit van het eten is redelijk, maar zeker niet top. We moesten echter veel te lang wachten op ons hoofdgerecht en eerst nadat wij hierover na ruim een halfuur een opmerking over hebben gemaakt werd het eten geserveerd. De prijzen zijn redelijk de porties niet echt groot. Er was geen live muziek zodat we dit niet hebben kunnen ervaren.

Super nice hideaway in Amsterdam Oost. Extremely nice staff, very good food and prepar d with love. Good wine selection (correction; VERY good wine selection) and a most relaxing atmosphere. Jiri and Laura have been amazing hosts and should get a raise.

My parents-in-law were married for 40 years yesterday, but I was abroad with their son, but we still wanted to surprise them at their dinner. That's how I got in touch with the staff and they really thought along with us to surprise them from thousands of km away and it worked out great! My parents-in-law had a delicious meal, so good that we have to come back with the whole family in 3 weeks because of my father-in-law. Service, ambiance, food, wine everything was great! i was sitting at a table very close to the stage where three lovely musicians were trying to share their music. i say “try” because i heard the staff being so disrespectful and rude to them that made it impossible for these professionals to do their job. food is overpriced, mediocre and the people are not welcoming at all, i don’t see any reason to recommend this place to anyone.

I was there for a company event. The decor, furnishings, and ambiance were top-notch. The food was good, and the service was very attentive.

Very nice place, there was a band that played while we were eating, it was very nice! The meat and truffle pasta were excellent! On the other hand, a slight downside is that the cocktails were really not good, and the waiting time is quite long :)

The meat was incredible, the live music was a very nice addition to the meal. Unfortunately the cocktails were basically sparkling water with some flavor and I would keep the traditional approach to the tiramisu. But overall a great experience!

We visited Pompstation in Amsterdam Oost and left with mixed, yet mostly positive impressions. The evening kicked off with a carpaccio that was nothing short of exceptional — tender, well-seasoned, and perfectly textured. A definite five-star dish that sets the bar high right from the start. We followed up with the côte de boeuf, which was generous in portion and easy to share. While it was tasty, it didn’t quite reach the same heights as the starter. Solid, but not extraordinary — we’d give it three stars at best. What truly elevates Pompstation, however, is everything around the plate. The ambiance is lively and inviting, with top-class live music that adds a special energy to the space. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. We were there with our baby and were happy to find that a high chair was available. For parents dining out with little ones, we highly recommend going right after opening time — there’s more space, less rush, and the food tends to arrive faster, which makes a big difference when dining with a baby. In short, Pompstation offers decent food with a few highlights, but it’s the atmosphere, service, and music that truly make this place worth visiting.

Disappointing experience We had high expectations, but unfortunately it was very disappointing. We had to wait far too long for our food, which ultimately was of mediocre quality. Given the high prices, we really expected more from this. The service was downright bad: slow and disinterested. We raised our hands several times to speak to someone, but were repeatedly ignored. When we finally asked where our food was, we just got an unintelligible mumble and the server walked away, without any explanation or politeness. The only positive was the live band, which created a nice atmosphere. But otherwise it was not a pleasant experience for us and certainly not a place we would recommend. Shame!

Service was quite slow, once got a wrong dish. Dishes themselves were decent to good, highlights were the duck breast and the scallops, but the prawn ravioli was not cooked and still cold. Nice interior and ambiance. In general quite good, but for these prices there is better in the area.

We had a dinner on Saturday here. The food arrived very late and it was cold. However, I have to say that the waiters/waitresses were very kind and understanding. Also, despite the live jazz music concept is really nice, they played live music only 20% of the time. Given the relatively high price range of the food and drinks; I would say it was overall a disappointing experience.

Really disappointing experience. The service was extremely slow—even though the restaurant was nearly empty, we waited over an hour and a half for our starters. The portions were ridiculously small, definitely not worth the price. Some friends ordered the 800g steak, asked for it rare, and what arrived was anything but. It was terribly cooked, almost boiled instead of grilled. It was so poorly done that they couldn't even finish it. Definitely wouldn't recommend.

The food is fine, but for me not in relation to the price. The price is quite high and therefore I expect either high quality or so much that you will go home rolling. This is not the case for me. The choice is limited and with a three-course menu for 50 euros I don't expect half a bavette but a whole one. The dessert was also good in taste, but so small that you were done after two or three bites. So for me it's not worth the money.

Overall it's good, but it's a pity that there were a few mistakes. It's not nice that at the end of the evening you can only choose from 2 of the 4 dishes because they were no longer in stock. Portions could have been a little bigger.

Had dinner here with friends last night. The food is of good quality, but it could be a bit more. Sometimes there are moments in restaurants when things go wrong and that can happen anywhere. It should be noted that it works well captured by skilled and friendly staff. Patta, Muze and Sophia thank you very much for that. This completely makes up for any mistakes that were made. We will definitely come back again.

A nice Valentine's day experience let down by excruciatingly slow service. We had a 4 course menu served over 3.5 hours. We had to wait over 45 minutes between the amuse bouche and the entree. By that point my bouche was no longer amused

A truly top private party with around 350 people. The food was well prepared and both the normal and vegetarian versions were surprisingly tasty. Very beautiful and atmospheric place. You can party and sit downstairs and upstairs. The bar is nicely decorated, the staff is friendly. A really great place!

After a previous bad experience, the restaurant allowed us to eat again yesterday. The service was friendly, the corridors flowed neatly into each other. Food was hot and delicious! We had a very nice evening. Thank you pump station for this experience! We have adjusted our previous review.

I've been here a couple of times but never coming again. Incompetent staff and poor service completely spoiled the special occasion. The waiter doesn’t know the menu and wine list. It takes 30 minutes to get a drink, and you have to try hard to get the attention of anyone. The food took a long time, arrived cold and was mediocre for the price. It's a shame that such a lovely location is wasted on this “nightmare” (as described by people from the table next to us)

Regular restaurant. Food is good in general but a bit overpriced for the amount of food served. Service is average-good. Toilets were not clean.

Food is very good, but a small portion. 26 euros for a main course that isn't filling shouldn't be normal. The atmosphere is very nice, but the waiters take a long time to arrive.

Very nice atmosphere, great music, nice staff. The food was good, we took the 5 course chefs menu.

Sat down at 19:30, had the first course at 21:30. Some people at the table had allergies and thus special requests, they had their first meal at 21:45. Main course was served at 23:00. Some people at the table needed to go early (22:30) because of kids thus had almost not eaten anything at leaving. A 2+ hour wait for food is not ok. Food is mediocre. If you value your time, don’t come here. If wanting to eat here still, don’t go to the restaurant hungry as the wait for food is very long. Tl;dr: Won’t recommend going, waiting too long on mediocre food.

Tja, best een aardige locatie. Vooral voor groepen en met een band of optreden. Eten is kwalitatief onder de maat. Fazant moet je op de kaart zetten als het echt goed is. Hier past beter een echt goede hamburger, zalm of dikke saté....nu is het geen geslaagde poging er iets serieus van te maken. Jammer. Personeel trouwens prima, vriendelijk!

A magnificent moment in a magnificent place! The front of the restaurant doesn't look like much but once you enter the building, you directly appreciate the industrial charm of the interior of the building with a jazz concert which gives a real character to the restaurant. The service is very friendly, the food is excellent, a very nice wine list,… In short, everything was really perfect, a wonderful discovery!

¡Qué lugar maravilloso es este! La comida era increíble, el servicio era genial, y era una buena relación calidad-precio. Había una banda de jazz fantástica tocando que incluso dejó que uno de sus clientes habituales se levantara y se uniera, lo que fue muy especial. Fue un poco fuera del camino y la única vez que tuvimos un uber en el viaje, pero valió la pena el viaje.

Well lets start off with the fact that the building is a sight to behold. The ambiance is great and if you are in luck there is live music. The menu changes every so often but i have never been dissapointed. The staff is friendly. What can i say its a place u should go at least once every season.

Very poor reception, we had to wait 10 minutes for someone to come, hardly anyone at your table to ask if you were happy, even though it wasn't really busy, it could be a lot better, otherwise the meal was really good.

Great spot for a meal. The service was very friendly and they had prepared to cater for my gluten intolerance (they had gluten free bread and all servers were aware of what had gluten and not). I had the three course menu with yellow beets to start, the steak as a main and a sorbet desert. The beets were beautifully presented and very full of flavour. The steak was perfectly cooked. The desert was very fresh and a perfect balance of the sorbet, fresh berries and a cream pudding. Overall the meal was well portioned - at the end I was satisfied and not overly full.

Had a conferentie dinner here. It started from drinks and then we got five small dishes. I really enjoyed the food, everything was delicious. The place is big enough for a hundred or so people, but there were not enough seats. So the dinner was standing. Atmosphere was nice.

The staff was friendly and cheerful, the terrace is also very nice. We were a big group of friends but unfortunately we had a food poisoning by the fish dishes since only the people who took the fish menu had symptoms. Disappointing. When a restaurant has such ratings and prices these things shouldn't happen. *Also the prawns were a bit overcooked

It really can't get much worse than this. If the idea is to eat here with a group, I would definitely look further. In the responses from the Pump Station, the standard response is that they start working on the comments given. But the implementation of improvements is very slow.

Delicious bread with herb butter. The starter was good, but somewhat unimaginatively prepared. The zucchini vegetables were just lukewarm, the outer squid skin was tough and the sauce had an indefinable taste and was not edible for me. For dessert, the cornet dough was very hard and not freshly baked. The coffee was just lukewarm. Overall enjoyable. Great ambience and super friendly service.

This place made absolutely a difference with its staff. They are kind, welcoming and knowledgeable. We were surprised about the hospitality. We had 3 courses menus with different options. Live jazz music started around 8:10 pm on Saturday. Music was nice to have and atmosphere was great. Food is not amazing but definitely shows a great effort. Recommended to experience.

With a "host" (the man dressed in white) who is far too friendly to guests he does not know, and the other staff who do not pay attention and only walk around very relaxed, the service in the Pump Station is not professional and certainly below the standard that you can expect when you see the prices. The dishes are basically original, but very salty and not all of them justify the fixed price of 50 euros that the Pompstation charges for three courses. Anyone who chooses babaganoush and pumpkin ravioli will pay way too much. My table companions, on the other hand, were satisfied with the bavette and the tenderloin. The desserts are a disappointment. Very difficult to eat with just a spoon (the tartelette and pistachio dessert were way too hard to eat) and not really tasty; actually it was all very sweet. We all thought that the live music (jazzy) and the decor of Pompstation were fine, but that could not compensate for the shortcomings of the service and the too high prices for some dishes. The fact that it was nevertheless a beautiful evening was because I was in great company! The bill was 250 euros for 5 x 3-course menus and another 50 euros for some water and a few glasses of wine.

Great spot for food lovers! They have different formulas where you pick 3,4,5 course meals with a variety of delicious meat, fish and vegetarian options. They have also a wide range of good wine and cocktails. Highly recommended xxx
