Traveling in two cars, but we lost each other. We pulled into the parking lot and called the other car; shall we grab a bite to eat here? And in the meantime, we sent our location... In the meantime, a wiry, unhappy-looking little guy came out to rudely ask what we were doing? We just called the other car to let them know we were driving on, because we don't want to give them any business.

Stay away! I was just finishing a phone call in the parking lot when the owner immediately stormed over, telling me I either had to come inside for something to eat or drive on..

The sausages are nice and tender, and the side dishes are generous. The value for money is great. You can hardly eat this cheaply anywhere else in these expensive times. Hardworking owners. We always enjoy coming here.

We thought we'd let the owner give us a good dressing-down while enjoying fried potatoes from a packet and canned vegetables. Unfortunately, that didn't happen because the owner wasn't there. The service by the young ladies was prompt, attentive, and friendly. And the food was simply delicious. Schnitzel with fried onions and bacon was very good. Large portion and tasty fries. So, nothing sensational today, but very tasty food and friendly service.

Great restaurant! More than enough food on your plate, nice and normal, and pleasantly unpretentious. Don't expect extreme luxury, but if you do, that might be your own fault and you'd be better off going to a luxury restaurant. Also, certainly no crazy or excessively high prices. And regarding the incident on the premises: this gentleman has since apologized, and it is, of course, his property. Perhaps it wasn't handled entirely skillfully, but everyone makes mistakes sometimes. But leaving a negative review while you've never actually eaten there yourself? In my opinion, that makes you a bit of a pathetic figure. If you deliberately post a bad review for a restaurant where you've never eaten, it can ultimately just lead to fewer customers and, consequently, financial problems for someone. You are essentially wishing someone bankruptcy, and I find that quite harsh. Just judge a restaurant based on the food and the experience you actually had there.

We had tapas last night. Steak, carpaccio, fries—all very tasty. Unfortunately, the salmon and pork tenderloin were really overcooked. Such a shame. We had tapas including drinks. You can order yourself via the app. They brought everything quickly. Very friendly service! They even asked if we were ordering enough, because the kitchen hadn't received a bill from us for half an hour. We had just finished eating everything 😁. Highly recommended for a nice, quiet meal here for a reasonable price.

Roadrunner – what an evening! What a wonderful evening at Roadrunner! From the moment you walk in, you basically already know: you won't leave here hungry. 😂 The food? A loooooooooong amount. And I mean *really* a lot. At some point you think: that must be it… But no, more is coming right back. And everything is incredibly delicious, too. I think they only know the concept of a “small portion” from stories here. 😂 But then there’s the owner… Well. That’s actually a story in itself. Because no matter how good the food is, that guy makes the evening complete. Get to know him a bit, have a chat with him, and you’ve almost gained a friend. Nothing is too much trouble, and if he can arrange or do something for you, he does it. Those are exactly the kinds of places where you don't just come to eat, but where you talk about it again later because the whole evening just works. Roadrunner: huge food, great atmosphere, and an owner who is perhaps even better than the kitchen. We came for the food… but you’d almost go back again just for that guy. 😂🍻 Highly recommended. I'm still in the car making a phone call, and after that I want to grab a bite to eat here. Apparently, I'm not parked in the right spot. A lady from the restaurant immediately storms up to me, telling me to leave right away. Shortly after that, a man walks up from inside, telling me not to be so threatening. Really? I just want to finish my phone call and then I'll come order something. This is questioned, and they get ruder by the second. Great way to get customers, I must say. In the end, they were right; I'm not getting food here. What a bunch… My advice? Just drive on to a place where they are actually waiting for you. Another nasty aftertaste, gross.

Hospitality takes on a whole new meaning here. Right in the middle of nowhere, enormous banners in all sorts of languages ​​make it clear right from the start that parking is exclusively for guests. And should an elderly couple passing through have the audacity to stop for a quick bite to eat, the owner stands ready to aggressively reprimand them. Meanwhile, that immense concern for the parking lot doesn't seem to extend entirely to the site itself. It is, in fact, full of bulky waste and looks more like an improvised dump. The ditch joins in the fun too, littered with trash. A peculiar combination: strict on parking, slightly less strict on your own mess.

I was standing in the parking lot eating a sandwich when a confused man came up and started shouting that he decides who is allowed to eat in the parking lot; it turned out to be the owner! Very disrespectful.

Ordered cod with fried potatoes and salad. Received half-raw potatoes and several rectangular, pressed lumps of fish (not tasty). After I complained, I did receive an edible steak with fries, so it was resolved well, but how can you serve such fried potatoes and fish?

Stopped after a long drive to grab a bite to eat. The service was polite, but the food wasn't anything special. But the poor score lies with the owner (as another customer told me); this man would be better off staying behind the scenes.

We were here this afternoon; we ordered something to drink and later ordered a selection of bar snacks, which looked like they had been reheated in the microwave. You could throw the frikandel sausages at someone so hard they gave them a hole in the head! Not to mention the bitterballen! When the waitress asked if we needed anything else and we had passed on our complaint to her, the answer was…oh, I’ll just pass it on…. No feedback, no service, no follow-up. Very unprofessional.

Roadrunner is a super authentic roadside restaurant where you can have a great lunch for a very reasonable price. I have enjoyed going there for years. The people there are friendly and always up for a chat. I hope people look past the negative attention in the reviews. If you have to chase people off your own property every day because they are picnicking there, you can expect sour characters who feel the need to make their voices heard here in the reviews.

Very aggressive owner. If you are eating with children and one child hasn't ordered anything, that child is not allowed to use the restroom. He is very aggressive towards women, but when I (a man) went to confront him, he offered money. I would not recommend anyone eat here.

Everyone speaking positively here seems to me to be an acquaintance of this owner. Yes, the food itself is fine, but the owner himself is extremely passive-aggressive. Well, if you have just driven 170km and ordered food here, surely you are allowed to use the sanitary facilities? Apparently not. Very unfriendly staff. The owner yelled angrily at us because we had apparently parked our car incorrectly. They were very sarcastic and asked if I was stupid when I had a question about the food. The food was also served lukewarm to cold. Finally, the employee went to ask for a tip when paying. Truly unbelievable... Don't go!!

On our last day of vacation, we were able to park here with the owner's permission and spend another day cycling and enjoying the beautiful surroundings. We ended the day perfectly on the terrace with a delicious meal: Sallandse ham that fell right off the bone, and juicy chicken satay; perfect fries and salad. The young ladies serving were very attentive and friendly. I can well understand why truckers like coming here. Highly recommended!

Made a quick stop here for dinner on the way back. A real trucker spot. Of course, the average person is welcome here. You do need a big stomach though 😅. Tasty, fast food with plenty of meal choices. Great prices, large portions. Definitely recommended if you are in the area.

This is really not a nice place to eat. That is mainly due to the owner. This owner should open a dictionary and look for the word 'humanity'. If the owner still thinks he did the right thing after all the negativity, then the reviews above and below me are entirely justified. That is a remarkable strategy for someone who depends on customers. If, as an entrepreneur, you have so much energy to argue with guests online, you would be better off using that energy to improve the service, quality, and appearance of your business. Then those negative reviews might naturally become a lot rarer. Until then, there are plenty of restaurants that do understand what hospitality means.

Very dated and full of nostalgia. But the staff is friendly and welcoming, happy to chat. The hygiene could be better, but it's perfectly fine. The placemats are old LPs, and they should change that immediately. The walls are also covered with dated artists from a turbulent past 😉

Unique atmosphere, fast & good portions

We'd heard a lot of good things about it, but it was really disappointing. Before we even entered, we were yelled at because we couldn't park our car there. During dinner, we felt like they wanted us out as quickly as possible. The food was excellent; everything arrived nice and hot, and the spareribs were especially tender! It's just a shame you're only allowed one dessert, and you either have to pay extra. I would have preferred several smaller dishes, like the rest of the dinner. It was nicely decorated with pictures and images of artists everywhere, especially rock and roll, which was great! But unfortunately, there was no music playing.

A very nice truck parking lot on the N340 road. Paid parking is available, but parking is FREE when using the restaurant. The food is excellent, with large portions prepared fresh. There's plenty to choose from for €15-20. I RECOMMEND 💪

The roadside cafe-restaurant looks a bit unkempt. The decor is unique, disco-style, with lots of vinyl records. The food is basic, but edible and sometimes even good. I had a delicious meal last Tuesday! It's a true truck stop, but you're also welcome as a passer-by or just hungry! It has a bit of a diner-like vibe. It doesn't look like a truck stop. The portions are huge! That's really based on big eaters, and all for a small price! I paid only €30 for the starter, main course, and dessert, with two drinks and extras. You also have a huge selection of fries or baked potatoes and no fewer than five kinds of vegetables.

Everything was fantastic! 2 hours of bowling followed by an amazing meal. Choice of different dishes, ice cream for dessert. Drinks included. Super cheap at €30 per person. And also super delicious. Friendly and friendly service. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
