Great location with a super friendly welcome. Fantastic food and superb service. In short, you have to experience this for yourself! We thoroughly enjoyed it.

Had a fantastic evening at Sabero. It was pleasant to sit on the terrace while we started with some insanely delicious amuses. Nico is unsurpassed in creating the perfect balance of flavours while the dishes are surprising and full of excitement. The menu included crab, sole and asparagus (still at the tail end of the season), all gems. The langoustines with the famous shellfish sauce and the eel with beetroot were also packed with flavour. The wine arrangement was also really good. To be honest: a wine arrangement is often disappointing. But Sonja clearly did not skimp on the wines in the arrangement. We were served delicious dry Rheingau Riesling from Kunstler, a Sauvignon from Alto Adige and one from Pessac Leognan: Chateau Rochemorin ‘22… beautiful complex wine with lovely salty flavours and a long finish, wow! Also very surprising was the sake with dried plum: sweet with flavors of tutti frutti and almond as an accompaniment to the duck liver ice cream. The dessert of apricot and white chocolate (and many more delicious flavors) was surprisingly fresh and a nice end to the dinner. The dish was accompanied by a Gruner Veltliner Eiswein 2023. Hostess Sonja and her brigade create a cozy and relaxed atmosphere that makes you feel at home in their beautiful living room restaurant. An absolute must.

A real living room restaurant where the experience of the hospitable owners is evident. I will let the photos tell their own story about the beautiful flavors. Let me also mention the beautiful wine pairing and the excellent non-alcoholic alternatives. Small point of attention: 4 hours for 6 courses (with a cheese course) took a bit longer than expected. But so happy that we ate at Sabero again!

On May 8, 2025 we were guests in this extremely attractive and intimate restaurant owned by Nico and Sonja Boreas, located on the edge of Leende, a stone's throw from Eindhoven and the A2. Good parking. It is not without reason that hostess Sonja has been named the best hostess in the Netherlands by Michelin and Nico is widely known for his incredibly tasty sauces and ultimate cuisine. We were successively served the following delicacies: Wagyu with sea urchin roe, lacquered eel with beetroot, asparagus with egg yolk, sole, langoustine, lamb and a delicious dessert. Wowwww what taste sensations and (indeed) what sauces. Sonja provides suitable wines (Künstler's Riesling was a hit!) and smoothly manages the black brigade. Sabero is absolute perfection, no show acts or pomposity here at very friendly prices that are at least 20% lower than the surrounding competition and approximately 25-30% lower than equivalent restaurants in, for example, our capital. Highly recommended in all respects, but your patience will be tested to get a table.

Sabero is “the place to be” for us. Not only because the prices are modest, but especially because the food, drinks and service are at the absolute top level. After the first course we were already in culinary heaven on the pink cloud. It takes some patience before it's your turn, but it's definitely worth the wait. A must go for foodies.

I called to say I was on the waiting list for the day after tomorrow and asked if I still wanted to come. I enthusiastically said I'd love to, but unfortunately, I had to book a different restaurant to secure a birthday party. Then I was angrily confronted and accused of having to respond to phone calls and emails, which was precisely why she kept calling. I told her I'd checked my email (including spam) every day and hadn't received anything about confirmation for the day after tomorrow, let alone multiple phone calls. Just as I was mentioning that they might have mistyped my email address (because it ends in .NL instead of .com, and this often happens), she said, "Bye." She simply hung up while I was still talking. I explained that I'd made a reservation much earlier, on a Wednesday, and canceled it more than a week in advance. (So that wasn't the source of the anger, because then I would have understood.) I feel incredibly bad, even though I knew nothing about it and just wanted to figure out what went wrong together. Here's a screenshot showing that I only received and answered one phone call. I understand that if I'd received an email saying I could still come, I would have had to cancel. But I received absolutely nothing, so in my opinion, the anger is highly inappropriate. I won't be coming back; it just makes me sad. I've never had a negative experience at a Michelin-starred restaurant. Now, they'll probably be friendly if you do go, but if you know how incredibly angry she can be and cut off a phone call so abruptly, never again.

A sublime restaurant where you can enjoy a delicious meal in a beautiful setting. Everything is meticulously prepared. The service is very friendly. We will definitely eat here again. Highly recommended.

What a fantastic culinary experience at Sabero! From the moment we walked in, we were warmly welcomed and immediately made to feel at ease. The atmosphere is stylish and cozy, just as you would hope for an evening out. The dishes were all refined and perfectly flavoured, with special combinations that surprised us time and time again. What really topped it all off was the excellent wine selection. Each glass was chosen with care and explained with passion by hostess Sonja, who not only has a lot of knowledge, but is also a wonderful hostess. Her explanation about the wines and how they complement the dishes added an extra dimension to the evening. In short, an absolute must for lovers of good food, great wines and top service. We will definitely come back!

On 13-3 we had a delicious meal at Sabero. After a warm welcome, we took a seat in the cozy, homely atmosphere. The start was three delicious appetizers followed by bluefin tuna with foie gras. The dishes were phenomenal, if you are looking for a fun night out I would definitely recommend it.

I was allowed to pay 250 euros per person, which was not even worth 50 euros. worthless combinations. this restaurant does not deserve their star. wine too expensive and very below standard. I indicated an allergy and their solution was to leave out the ingredients instead of giving a replacement product. I received less than my partner for each course. very little creativity. very disappointed, expected more from this. The appetizers were very tasty, but that was the only thing, 5 of the 7 courses were seriously insufficient, the other 2 mediocre. Not once was I asked if everything was just my wish, otherwise I would have been more than happy to indicate this. All in all, we will never come back here again.

Absolute top and relaxed enjoyment, high-quality creations and special flavors, add condrieu and you're done!

It is completely right that Sabero has received another star, in fact he should have gotten his 2 stars back, but okay, it is nice and right that Sonja has been declared hostess of the year. What an explosion of flavors it is every time, how wonderful that Nico surprises you every time and what beautiful plates and also with the choice of Sonja's matching wines with each dish. How privileged we feel to have such a restaurant nearby. The restaurant is attractive and tastefully decorated and it is nice that you can see the master and his two ladies at work from a distance. Everyone gets the same attention, leave that to Sonja. All in all, a very good choice to return to the old base, we are very happy with it.

You feel at ease from the moment you enter. The welcome is warm and friendly. The restaurant itself is part of the house and is attractively and comfortably furnished. The acoustics are excellent, so you can hear each other well. The food is great; from the amuse-bouches to the friandises, the flavors are intense and refined. The matching wines are enthusiastically explained and match the dishes perfectly. We will definitely come back here again.

While we enjoyed lunch in the garden for the first time on a beautiful summer day, yesterday we enjoyed everything that passed by indoors. During the evening you will see how all your dishes are cooked from their own kitchen. In combination with the enormous hospitality of Sonja, who was very rightly awarded the service award by Michelin this year, you feel very welcome. The food was of a high standard both times. The dishes are well seasoned and varied in flavors and mouthfeel.

Even after the move to the 'restaurant at home' in Leende, Sabero remains the absolute top. If you choose Saturday afternoon lunch, you will simply not find better value for money anywhere.

This really is the very best restaurant in Brabant. The food is truly unsurpassed and the hospitality knows no bounds. Simply delicious.

In a word: fantastic! A very hospitable welcome by Sonja and her wonderful team and we enjoyed sublime dishes. The weather was lovely so we sat outside on the terrace. Instead of the wine pairing, I got non-alcoholic cocktails that matched the dishes perfectly. Everything was equally refined. Thank you for the unforgettable afternoon!

What a TOP restaurant this remains, every time we are surprised by the flavors and combinations that you could not come up with yourself. Cheese cart afterwards and go home happy!

UPDATE 2024 It is also a pleasure to eat here at the new location. Nothing to complain about! Unprecedentedly hospitable, relaxed, atmospheric and cozy. And with delicious food and good wines. It was a pleasure to have lunch here! We started with rosé bubbles from Luxembourg and delicious appetizers. Each subsequent dish was beautifully prepared, a sight to behold! And tasted very good. The wines went well with it and they are constantly being added. There is also a matching arrangement for the bob, which has been really well thought out and also goes very well with the dishes. I think Sabero is the most relaxed star restaurant we have had the pleasure of eating at. That, in combination with the delicious food and wines, makes it highly recommended! We would love to come back here again!

Exceptional welcome by the hostess who immediately makes you feel good, a bit as if you were arriving at the home of long-time friends. Simple and sober but tasteful decor which is perfect because what counts here is the quality of the dish. The "all-in" Sunday lunch formula is simply wonderful because it presents a 5-course meal where everything is really included and where we had no surprises knowing that we have some dietary constraints. The dishes are masterfully prepared by the chef who combines pleasant creativity with the right dosage without going into the excesses of some of his colleagues, all being served by a smiling and friendly team while being respectful. It’s easy to understand that you need to book well in advance to be able to take advantage of it.

Eten en drinken en bediening op 2-sterren Michelin-niveau, maar dan in een huiselijke omgeving. Wij hebben heerlijk gegeten en gedronken en kan iedereen aanbevelen er heen te gaan om iets bijzonders te eten.

Geweldig gegeten en gedronken, in een gemoedelijke omgeving. Personeel en eigenaresse hebben nog tijd om een praatje te maken af en toe. Een echte aanrader!

Heerlijke lunch met vriendinnen in de mooie tuin echt genieten van de bijzondere gerechten.

Dit is echt zo'n geweldig adres. Sonja is een ontzettend lieve vrouw die alles perfect voor elkaar heeft. En Nico en co koken de (Michelin)sterren van de hemel. Wat wil je nog meer! Het huiskamerrestaurant ziet er prachtig uit en maakt het restaurant nog persoonlijker dan het al was in Roermond. Als je de kans krijgt, ga hier echt naar toe. Je zult er geen spijt van krijgen en het smaakt alleen maar naar meer.

Buitengewoon lekker gegeten. Natuurlijk niet goedkoop maar met twee sterren niet over the top. Wijnarrangement, de glazen werden royaal bijgevuld. Jammer dat ze stoppen.

Topklasse ervaring qua wijn, spijs en service. Uniek is echter de combinatie met de huiselijke informele gastvrijheid waardoor elke gast zich op haar/zijn gemak voelt (ook de jongste tafelgenoten).

Hebben hier een onvergetelijke avond gehad. Het is lekker knus en de gastheren en vrouwen zijn heel vriendelijk. Het eten was ook ongeloofelijk. Tijdens het diner was ik op een gegeven moment van genot vergeten waar we in het menu waren. Het was een lange avond om nooit te vergeten, chapeau

Geweldig restaurant! Een geweldige menukaart met topwijnen! Uitstekende de sint-jakobsschelpen met foie gras! Ontspannen sfeer ondersteund door hoffelijke en attente medewerkers! Helemaal geslaagd!

Vandaag de cadeaubon verziverd die ik gewonnen had bij Berden. Het was geweldig. We zijn heel hartelijk ontvangen en hebben heerlijk gegeten. Sabero en Berden, heel hartelijk bedankt!!

Wat een gastvrij heerlijk restaurant! Gerechtjes zo heerlijk van smaak! Zowel heerlijke bijpassende alcoholvrije cocktails of gewoon met een wijn arrangement. Dit restaurant is gewoonweg een aanrader! Je voelt je er gewoon thuis. Vriendelijk, lief, geen poespas of hautain gedoe. En we komen zeker naar Leende om er weer lekker te eten. Absolutely gorgeous experience. The restaurant is small and cozy. The patron and waiters are very nice and friendly. And the food: stellar. We had a seven course menu with assorted wines and enjoyed every minute of it.

18 mei gedineerd in dit sfeervolle restaurant met een 6-gangenmenu van ongekend hoog niveau waarbij achtereenvolgens de revu passeerden: 4 lekkere amuses w.o. paling met rode biet en Thom Kha kai. De starter was oester zowel koud als warm, een fantastische binnenkomer en we schoven de stoel nog maar eens dichter aan tafel en terecht zoals zou blijken uit de volgende gang: noordzeekrab met ganzenlever, citroengras, kokos, gember en xo-saus was van uitzonderlijke klasse, een heus wawww-effect viel ons ten deel. Daarna langoustines, spitskool, bospeen, boemboe en papaya in een goddelijke saus waarvan je graag een kommetje mee naar huis wil nemen. Na heerlijke asperges (met rabarber en bleekselderij) volgde de door ons als pièce uitgekozen eendenlever met gefermenteerde pruim, hoisin en yuzu, belachelijk lekker !! Dessert (of kaas) was een meer dan waardige afsluiter. Perfect passende wijnen en een ontspannen bediening maakten deze avond tot een geweldige beleving. Rust en sfeer overheersen hier nadrukkelijk. De prijs-kwaliteit is verbluffend goed. Sabero behoort zonder twijfel tot de top 5 van Nederland en komt heel dicht bij nummer 1 zelfs.

Wauw! Geweldig. Het eten is top en de gastvrijheid en vriendelijkheid ook. Super!

The food was delicious, I loved the combination of western and Asian flavors. In every dish, you could find a resemblance to Dutch food. The wines didn't meet my expectations, though. They weren't bad, but I hoped for a higher level of matchmaking with the food. Service was grand. We had a wonderful evening.
