Enjoying delicious shrimp just outside IJmuiden, excellent service, and delicious desserts.

Well, the name says it all: Scampi-sublime Well, we really let ourselves be spoiled by the chef... But yes, closed for a while due to vacation..... Take some time to relax, chef; take your time. And then afterwards: see you soon....we hope.

Very disappointing experience. We arrived with a group for which 6 vouchers had been reserved via Social Deal. Later, we purchased one extra voucher for an additional person, but we were unable to reserve it separately because reservations were only possible for groups of 2 or more. We wanted to resolve this properly on the spot. Additionally, we had two small children under the age of 4 with us. We did not want to order a full 3-course menu for them, as that is simply not appropriate for such small children. We just wanted to order something small from the menu, such as fries. From the moment it became clear that there were small children present and that not everyone would spend extra money on full menus or drinks, the atmosphere became very unpleasant. There was a fuss about chairs, about the extra voucher, about the fact that we only ordered a few drinks, and eventually it was said that the small children were actually supposed to order full 3-course menus as well. We did not feel welcome at all. The owner chose to call Social Deal instead of looking for a solution together in a normal, hospitable manner. After about 15 minutes, the atmosphere was so uncomfortable that we asked for the bill and left without eating anything. We have been using Social Deal for years and visit restaurants regularly, but we have never experienced such unpleasant treatment. I would absolutely advise against this restaurant for families or groups. We did not feel like guests here, but rather like people from whom as much money as possible had to be extracted.

We hadn't expected beforehand that it would turn out to be such a fun and enjoyable evening. This is not only due to the delicious food, but also to the host Nagy and his friendly staff. We aren't from the area ourselves, but we highly recommend dining here. The menu isn't very extensive, but what is on it is prepared with care. And as chef Herman den Blijker says... better to have a little less on the menu, but what is there must be perfect. And it certainly was. Greetings from Nijmegen/Arnhem.

I do not recommend this restaurant. I was here with my family, and the problems started as soon as we placed the order. The service and the owner's attitude made a very negative impression. We felt pressured to order extra dishes for the children, and when we did not want to order extra dishes or drinks, we noticed clear dissatisfaction among the staff. Another unpleasant surprise was that the main courses actually consisted only of meat. Fries, bread, and other side dishes had to be paid for separately, making the final bill significantly higher. This was not clearly communicated beforehand. The atmosphere was so unpleasant that we decided to leave the restaurant after we had finished our drinks. In doing so, we also lost our Social Deal vouchers, but we did not want to make use of this establishment's offer anymore. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this restaurant due to the way customers are treated, the pushy sales of extra items, and the unfriendly atmosphere.

Fantastic, lovely owner, beautifully presented plates, and background music that suited the restaurant perfectly. I really had a top-notch experience with my girlfriend, even though it was through Socialdeal.

I haven't even finished the starter yet. But for me, it's already 5 stars; lovely atmosphere!

The waiter, who also acts as the cook, does everything here. We were received very warmly and given good advice on the dishes and matching drinks. A gem in an area where you wouldn't expect it.

The carpaccio starter was excellent, and the goat cheese gratin salad was delicious. The scampi aglio and the meat of the day were perfectly cooked. We'll be back soon.

We just got back from this very cozy little place, with a bit of a Mediterranean bistro vibe. We received a very friendly welcome from the owner (who was, by the way, a very gracious host). My wife and I started with the scampi salad, which was truly delicious. Then we had the chef's special Wagyu with mushroom cream sauce, which was also delicious. My wife is in charge of the kitchen and is also a very friendly woman. We had a wonderful evening, and if we're ever in the area again, we will definitely be back. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

We had the "chef's special" Wagyu steak with homemade pepper sauce. The restaurant is cozy, the service friendly, and the food delicious. And they play Golden Oldies, which is great fun. We'll definitely be back.

We had a wonderful meal with the three-course social deal. The salmon and beef carpaccio were delicious. We also really enjoyed the steak with blue cheese, baked salmon, and prawns! We even had room left for dessert with a friendly waiter.

To be completely honest, the food was really bad. Carpaccio with iceberg lettuce and rocket and full of oil. Ordered the chicken satay as a main course. It came without the satay sauce and an extra 1.50 had to be paid for the sauce. The chicken also looked raw on the inside and tasted strange. My fiancé had the steak and it was visibly cut in half and instead of medium rare it was fried rare. You can also add extra for a sandwich as a starter or fries with your dish. Nothing is included at this place. Furthermore, he is a friendly but also annoying man. Constantly asking if things are to your liking and standing next to the table a bit to then join in a conversation. Incidentally, he is not wearing an apron either. Furthermore, the place itself is cute and the music is not too loud. But definitely not recommended.

Smaller restaurant. But these people know what hospitality is. Great food, super friendly service. The kitchen brigade makes everything themselves. Sent here from Eindhoven. Was a great recommendation!!

I went there to have dinner with a friend after an earlier very good experience, which was confirmed during this second time around!

3 course dinner via social deal with 4 people but had to pay €33 extra for drinks and bread, the food was super tasty and the staff was very friendly, we went on holiday after dinner and had to be in Amsterdam at 8:30 pm so we asked if that was possible and that was no problem☺️ Very helpful staff!

Today we had a delicious meal at scampi Velsen-Noord. I don't understand the bad reviews, all the criticism that is given is probably from whiners who live in a 'perfect' situation at home. This is just a top restaurant with very nice people who have a heart for the business. If you want to eat delicious food somewhere for a pleasant price, you should definitely go to scampi in Velsen-Noord. Don't whine too much, just enjoy. Life is hard enough.

Upon arrival, the chairs were a letdown, torn armrests, sagging seats, women were given cushions unworthy of a restaurant. Main course would be served with potatoes and vegetables, potatoes consisted of half a baby and vegetables consisted of some stir-fried onions, zucchini and peppers. The starter was supposed to be fried mussels, but it was boiled mussels and a bowl of sauce with some pieces of zucchini and pepper in it. There was a surcharge for almost everything (didn't partake of the social deal) No success this evening with friends.

Via social deal een 3 gangen diner voor € 19,95 geboekt. Er zijn dingen die verbeterd kunnen worden. Menukaart was erg smerig, het is een 1e indruk. Spiegel achter de bar was ook erg smerig. Het eten was gelukkig goed, alleen kristallen in het ijs. Daarentegen zijn de prijzen voor extra's en drank belachelijk duur. Dus vandaar dat het waarschijnlijk niet druk is in het restaurant. Portie friet € 5,00 Radler 0.0 € 5,00 Frisdrank € 3,75 Al met al lekker gegeten, maar voor de totaalprijs kun je ook ergens anders terecht.

I had a delicious meal here! The owner was very friendly and did the service himself and was in the kitchen! The dishes were made with passion and, in my opinion, exceeded expectations. We will definitely come back here again!

We had reserved a spot here for Father's Day via social deal. Never do this again. It took almost an hour per course before new food arrived and plates remained on the table for a very long time. The steak was far too well done and the lamb was cold. The chicken satay was tasty, but I had to pay €3 extra for the 2 small drops of satay that should be included with the dish. The drinks and bread baskets were also extremely expensive. The toilet was very bad, spiders and cobwebs everywhere. Not fresh! In the end I had to pay €80 extra for a few soft drinks and wine, 2 fries baskets, 2 bread baskets and the satay. Downright ridiculous!!

Het duurde al vreselijk lang tot we ons eerste drankje kregen, daarna zat er veel te veel tijd tussen de gangen. Prijs/kwaliteit verhouding is absoluut niet goed. Je krijgt weinig voor het geld dat je betaalt. Fles water is bijvoorbeeld € 9. Mandje brood reken je af per persoon (€ 2,50 pp). Bij de kipsaté moet je de saté saus bij betalen (bizar...). Gaarheid van biefstuk wordt niet gevraagd, maar was completeet doorbakken, ossehaas was juist niet gaar en koud. Toiletten zijn oud en niet schoon. Website met foto's lijkt fantastisch maar de werkelijkheid is heel anders. Wat een slechte ervaring.

Het interieur was verouderd en aan ernstige slijtage onderheving, de toiletten waren smerig, de kleding van het bedienend personeel vuil, het eten was koud, het vlees niet gaar en voor de sauzen moest apart betaald worden (satesaus hoort bij sate, dus hiervoor extra betalen is te gek voor woorden), na 3 uur hadden we net het voor- en hoofdgerecht gehad en moest de bestelling voor het desert nog opgenomen worden. Al met al was het de ranzigste ervaring die ik in 40 jaar restaurant bezoeken in binnen en buitenland ervaren heb en dat ook nog eens voor een hoofdprijs. Al met al een mooie 'use case' voor Gordon Ramsay!

Small-scale restaurant that serves a three-course menu. The atmosphere breathes the Mediterranean. Extensive menu where everyone can make a choice. The prawns and steak were delicious. The portion are big enough. The service is nice. They have homemade fries that are good. You can eat and drink there for 40 to 50 euros.

Tonight, Saturday April 27, 5:30 PM, we had a delicious meal in Velzen. The cook and cook turned everything into a real party. Delicious fries and mayonnaise. The choice has been Carpaccio de luxe Delicious fried veal liver with everything 😊 And a surprising dessert from the chef. The last photo these are the wonderful Host and Hostess.

Een klein gezellig restaurant aan het eind van een winkelstraat. Heerlijk gegeten, aan te bevelen zijn als voorgerecht de zalm carpaccio en als hoofdgerecht de scampi’s in knoflookolie en de biefstuk. De eigenaar/gastheer is een gezellige, vakkundige man, dus alles voor een gegarandeerde fijne avond!

Just went out for dinner, friendly service. As a dish a carpaccio and the girlfriend a tomato soup, tomato soup had cheese in it, strange choice but good. Taste was a bit burnt so that was a shame. Carpaccio was fine. Main course I had a Satay and the friend the Steak, Satay was poorly filled, a few large pieces and the rest small pieces that were burnt by the grill, the steak was too salty and not well cooked to medium. You also have to pay extra for satay sauce and fries. Very strange if I may say... Fries had a nasty old taste, probably frying fat that has been used a little too often. Dessert was extremely boring, we had the dama blanca and I had the Choco passion, a scoop of ice cream with a dropped piece of Choco mousse.. Was fine. But presentation can be much better. We did this via social deal, maybe that had an influence on the portioning, but this is still very sad for words. The regular prices are also not okay. I find 19.50 for a main course very absurd and that for half a plate full.

Op 20 meter van een goede parkeergelegenheid vonden mijn vrouw en ik restaurant Scampi Sublime. Signore Nagy Phonobes, Egyptisch-Griekse roots maar zeker als topkok Italië-fan, timmert aan de Wijkerstraatweg 95 met zijn team al ruim vijf jaar aan de culinaire weg. Wij werden verrast door de hartelijke en correcte ontvangst en bediening. De gerechten (we hadden vis en scampi all’aglioli) waren erg lekker. De gul geschonken rode wijn was vol en rond van smaak. De huisgemaakte chocolade mousse was een verrukkelijke uitsmijter. Ik ben opgegroeid in Velsen Noord en kende dit adres als Snackbar (bijnaam de Angola-bar). Nu is het een aangename mediterrane lokatie waar Italiaanse liedjes op een bescheiden volume de entourage vervolmaken. Wij gaan hier zeker terugkomen!!

I don't believe this restaurant can afford a real chef. That's a shame because it threatens the existence of this catering establishment. The gentleman who served us was very friendly and sympathetic. The main course was sufficient in size, but half a tough baked potato with far too few vegetables and barely any sauce was a real disappointment. We left the place still somewhat hungry. The dessert was as expected.

We wanted to go out for dinner and I came across this on the site via Social Deal. So we booked out of curiosity. Didn't regret it anytime soon. For us, this is a very cozy restaurant with the owner and wife who run this business and serve their customers as much as possible. Everything goes smoothly but relaxed. I had the delicious tossaase soup, pork tenderloin and Dame Blance ice cream, everything was delicious :) my husband had the super tender 600gr Antrocote... see photo... worth repeating.

Even though the owner did his best, if you don't have staff in the service, the waiting times are very long. The quality of the food was good, but some vegetables on your plate next to your meat would be nice.

Zondag bij Scampi gegeten met 2 Social Deal Bonnen Anges vlees was taai op een verder kaal bord moest vragen om mijn aardappeltjes .2de gerecht kip ook op een verder kaal bord .Gerechten plaatjes en wat je werkelijk krijgt is niet oke . Wil je hier eten met Social Deal zou het niet doen zonde van je geld je moet waar voor je geld krijgen wat het ook kost hier niet dus naar mijn ervaring !

Erg lekker gegeten via social deal. Leuke gastheer/chef/eigenaar die je op je gemak stelt. Zeker de moeite waard om weer eens te komen eten.

Via social deals een eettentje op de route gevonden. Locatie oogt als vergane glorie evenals de rest van de omgeving. Eten viel niet tegen. Social deal was aantrekkelijk, maar drankprijzen waren buitensporig voor de kwaliteit, daardoor alsnog te dure avond voor wat ke krijgt. Eigenaar is zeer vriendelijk.

Al eens eerder geweest. Inmiddels een nieuwe eigenaar. Via social deal gereserveerd. De prijs staat daarmee vast. Wijk je van het menu af dan moet je de portemonnee hier flink open trekken. Uiteindelijk toch nog geschrokken van de bijkomende kosten zoals bakje friet, (wat er standaard niet bij zit). Het kleine beetje groente was verstopt onder het vlees. De drankjes waren ook flink aan de prijs ( eerlijk is eerlijk, dat is inmiddels bij veel restaurants het geval) meningen verschillen natuurlijk per individu, maar ik pas voorlopig om hier weer naar binnen te stappen.

De foto's en reviews op Social Deals wekten mijn nieuwsgierigheid en maakten dat ook wij 2 vouchers kochten voor een 3-gangenmenu. Wie echter denkt dat hij hier voor € 19,95 een 3-gangenmenu kan nuttigen komt over het algemeen bedrogen uit. Dit heeft vooral te maken met de uiterst charmante gastheer die je bij elke gang wel een extra bijgerecht en/of andere bereidingswijze weet te verkopen. Wij hadden bij het diner ook een fles rose besteld en ook hier maakt de gastheer zeer attent gebruik van door je lege glas snel en vakkundig bij te vullen, zodat je bij de 2e gang ook al aan je 2e fles rose zit. Natuurlijk hadden we "nee" kunnen zeggen, maar hebben bewust besloten mee te gaan in alles wat de gastheer ons voorstelde. Gewoon een keer voor het idee, de ervaring en de grap. Ik kan mij wel voorstellen dat als je dit niet doet, de gastheer nogal ervaren kan worden als opdringerig en storend tijdens een goed gesprek. Het restaurant heeft de sfeer van een verouderd Grieks eetlokaal met kale muren. Het is schoon. Het eten is oke, de porties enigszins aan de kleine kant en alles wordt geserveerd op een ratjetoe van serviesgoed. De vriendelijkheid van de gastheer en -vrouw maken veel goed en we hebben dan ook smakelijk gelachen om de plek waar we terechtgekomen waren icm de "slimme" verkooppraatjes van de gastheer, maar na deze ervaring hebben we ook de conclusie getrokken dat het hier wel blijft bij een eenmalige, grappige ervaring.

Heerlijk gegeten en onwijs vriendelijk en gastvrije bediening, we komen zeker terug.

Goede parkeergelegenheid en makkelijk te bereiken . Bediening is persoonlijk en uitermate vriendelijk. De kaart kent niet veel variëteit maar is daarentegen goed verzorgd en van uitstekende kwaliteit. Wijn simpel doch goed van smaak, zacht en rond. Prima voor een gezellig avondje uit in mediterrane sfeer.

Weer een ster gevonden in het best wel kleine aanbod hier in de buurt. Voortreffelijk gegeten onder het genot van een perfecte Barolo!

Schrokken ons rot van de rekening! Eten was niet verkeerd, maar de rekening was echt belachelijk. De kok bood je de kaart niet eens aan, maar wilde ons verrassen met het voor- en hoofdgerecht 😳. Nou de rekening was het enige verrassend 😕

Heerlijk gegeten voor een fijne prijs. Het restaurant is ruim, de bediening is erg vriendelijk en het eten was heerlijk. Gezellige avond gehad.

Heerlijk gegeten. Als voorgerecht de Zalm en Runder Carpaccio en die smaakte uitmuntend. De Biefstuk en Zalm als hoofdmenu waren ook een succes. Zeer vriendelijke bediening. Absoluut een aanrader!

Geweldig restaurant met n zeer persoonlijke bediening

Wat een feest bij restaurant Scampi gisteren! En dat was Niet alleen omdat mijn moeder jarig was ;-). Ondanks dat wij het in eerste instantie een beetje vreemd vonden dat wij de enige gasten waren voelde Scampi aan als een gezellige huiskamer waar kwalitatief hoog waardige gerechten de boventoon voerde. Veelal evergreens op het menu echter voelde dat geen moment als een teleurstelling. In tegendeel! elk gerecht is met veel zorg liefde en aandacht bereid door de vrouw van de gastheer. Familie is wat het restaurant ademt en wat het leven geeft. Dus mocht je behoefte hebben aan goed gastheerschap, eenvoud en kwaliteit twijfel dan niet een boek of reserveer een bezoek.

Super lekker gegeten en de Egyptische eigenaar is na werktijd nog in voor een gezellig praatje.

Top gegeten. Echt zeer vriendelijke bediening. Biefstuk medium rare besteld en deze was perfect (in sommige restaurants is dat vaak anders). Echt een aanrader. E komen zeker nog een keer terug.

Wat een heerlijk restaurant, persoonlijke bediening, menu aanpassen geen probleem, huiselijk en een eigenaar/kok die je echt het gevoel geeft dat genieten boven aan staat en de kok/eigenaar zo geniet van iets heerlijks op je bord te leggen. Een echte aanrader!!!!! Jammer dat hij alleen voor mijn man en mij de verwarming aan moest zetten. Kom mensen, ga daar eten!!!! super lief en huiselijk!!!!
