We had a delicious meal for a very reasonable price (ok… we don’t drink alcohol🤣). We would definitely dare to call the scallops a ‘signature dish’! And the apple risotto was genuinely surprising! We are going to make that at home too. We would be delighted – and certainly come back more often – if the menu were enriched with more vegetarian options and more vegetables in general. Kudos to the friendliness and hospitality of the lovely young staff!

The food was tasty, but we weren't blown away. I had expected that beforehand. The spaghetti from the Parmesan wheel tasted (too) much like brandy, and the lemon tart for dessert was very small for the price (14 euros). The tableside preparation was very charming, as was the chef, but the rest of the service could certainly have been better. We had a fine meal, but for the price, I had higher expectations.

It is truly rare these days to be received and served with so much enthusiasm, genuine hospitality, and old-fashioned courtesy. And by such young people, too. Hats off to the entire team at La Mia! And we haven't even talked about the food yet… Every dish is beautifully presented and served with so much care. But ultimately, of course, it is all about the taste — and it is truly unbelievably delicious! We had an incredibly tasty and wonderful meal here. Every course was a treat. What we also found particularly pleasant was the relaxed atmosphere of the evening. You are given plenty of time between courses and never feel the need to rush or make room after dinner. That is precisely what makes the whole experience so relaxed and special. As far as we are concerned, La Mia is an absolute must-visit. A restaurant where hospitality, atmosphere, and fantastic food still truly come together. Hats off to the entire team at La Mia! We will definitely be back. ❤️

Had a delicious lunch in a charming restaurant; the quality is very good and it is also very affordable. Later, I went to the shop down the street; a wonderful, fun shop with nothing but delicious things. In short, it is a must-visit.

La Mia's shop with delicious fresh Italian dishes offers a much better culinary experience. The food in the restaurant is too expensive, unimaginative, and tasteless. The pasta with Parmesan was certainly not worth the €28. It was completely bland and flavorless, and the pasta was just *too* al dente (meaning still too hard). The other dishes were also insubstantial and lacked flavor. The staff is friendly but certainly not proactive. You constantly had to make an effort to get their attention, remind them that they were going to bring the menu, etc. In summary: a pretentious restaurant, poor food, and way too expensive. Not recommended.

Service was great but we were quite disappointed by part of our food. First, we got a special menu because of the dorpsfeest. So we got less choice than expected. We both went to the chef menu with a glass of wine. Antipasti and pasta were really good. But we got disappointed by the secondi and dessert: biefstuk was big but a bit dry and the sauce was really sweet. The other dish with half an aubergine was small and too salty. Our biggest expectation was in the tiramisu made a the table but this option was not available during the feest. Therefore we went for a dessert plank but the tiramisu was just okay. Overall, for 120€ for 2, we were expecting much more.

We left largely dissatisfied. On the one hand, due to the immense crowds. No offense to the nice girl who served us. But two of the three dishes were substandard, while we found the Sauvignon Blanc far too expensive.

The price-quality ratio is not okay. I had a dish with 3 small pieces of cauliflower with ricotta sauce (the parsnip sauce was sold out) and paid €28. My husband had a large piece of meat and paid the same amount. I tipped off the restaurant via a private email that the price-quality ratio was disproportionate, and as a thank you, I could get a free cup of coffee next time!? Peculiar reaction. So I have to wave that email I sent around. We used to go there often, also for company outings (we are both entrepreneurs), but unfortunately, that is over now. It is a huge shame because it was fun, the food was tasty, and the atmosphere was good, but the price-quality ratio is not appropriate.

Through this review, I wish to express my deep displeasure regarding the treatment I recently experienced at this establishment. While placing my order, I was confronted with extremely inappropriate and transgressive behavior from an employee named Sacha. While we were ordering in a normal manner, this employee took the liberty of making an extremely disrespectful and inappropriate remark about my mother. This demonstrates a total lack of professionalism, decency, and customer friendliness. Such treatment has no place in any hospitality or retail environment and completely ruined our visit. I find this behavior highly inappropriate and extremely disrespectful towards customers. I assume that management holds the quality of service in high regard and will address this employee immediately. Incidents of this kind simply must not be repeated. For us, the limit has certainly been reached with this.

The worst restaurant I have ever visited in the Netherlands. Truly scandalous, especially considering its location. The service was exceptionally poor, and the staff came across as uninterested and unprofessional. I dine out regularly and therefore have a lot of experience with restaurants, but this establishment undoubtedly ranks among the worst I have ever visited. Consequently, I absolutely cannot recommend this restaurant.

Based on the reviews and the rave reviews from acquaintances, my expectations were perhaps set too high, causing the eventual visit to be a bit of a letdown. The restaurant is cozy, the staff is friendly; that wasn't the issue. What did disappoint me, however, was that the staff often mispronounced Italian words. If you claim to be 'just like in Italy,' you should at least teach people that antipasti, primi, secondi, and dolci are plural, so they cannot say: 'The chef's primi is an apple risotto' or 'You can also order a primi as a secondi.' The menu is also full of spelling errors in Italian. None of this says anything about the food, but to me, it came across as less Italian than I had hoped. The starters (vitello tonnato, bruschette, tartara di barbabietola, rigatoni, and ravioli) were all tasty. For the main course, my daughter and I had the spaghetti al parmigiano, prepared at the table. A really nice concept, but it actually only tasted like cream, brandy, and pepper with a hint of cheese. My 15-year-old daughter didn't finish it because she absolutely couldn't appreciate the strong alcoholic taste. Two other diners had the steak. That is really just a steak with a sauce. The staff did recommend a side dish, but it was fries, mushrooms, or spaghetti. Lots of protein and carbohydrates, no vegetables. Two others had ordered the sea bass in a salt crust but received the chef's fish instead. When they commented on this, they were told that they hadn't ordered it (sorry, but we really can remember what we want to eat). As compensation for the inconvenience, one main course was removed from the bill. The tiramisu that two of us ordered, however, was very tasty.

They present themselves as a *real* Italian restaurant, but it is anything but Italian. The pastas are terrible, and for such a high price. I had the famous Parmesan pasta, but it was dry, a small portion even though I had ordered the main course (which costs €25), and it looked just like a children's pasta. It is a real shame because I had high expectations based on the reviews. The people working there were friendly, though.

Delicious carpaccio sandwich, and so generously topped, you don't see that often anymore. We tried several dishes and it is highly recommended for anyone wanting to eat good Italian food. There is a nice atmosphere in the restaurant, but you can also just order sandwiches for home or work and they are ready within 15 minutes, truly amazing!

The food was delicious, but I really missed some vegetables. We spent 100 euros pp (4 courses and good wine); a small bowl of grilled vegetables or something similar would have just finished it off. The service was great, the food arrived at the same time (4 people), and it didn't take long at all, even though the restaurant was full. Friendly and clear, with experience.

We had a truly delicious meal at La Mia in Santpoort. The evening started with ciabatta with lemon-flavored aioli and tapenade, accompanied by a glass of Casina Perfumo Chardonnay. A lovely start that was immediately well-received. Afterwards, we had a trio of bruschetta with zucchini, tomato, and cannellini beans, pancetta, and vitello tonnato on delicious grilled ciabatta. Beautiful flavors, well-balanced, and prepared with care. We drank a 2015 Barbera d’Asti from Piedmont with it, which paired very well. For the main course, we chose the sea bass and the dorado with homemade fries, truffle, and Parmesan. Naomi cleaned the sea bass at the table, which was a really nice addition to the evening. The fish was perfectly prepared and incredibly flavorful. The dessert was also an experience. Roan made a very tasty tiramisu at the table that we really enjoyed. Afterwards, Max came to the table to make the scroppino. That is exactly what makes it so enjoyable here: everyone clearly has their own specialty, and that adds extra atmosphere and experience to the evening. In addition, the service was simply very good. Femke served us wonderfully, and host Max was friendly and attentive. All in all, it just clicked: delicious food, good wines, professional service, and a pleasant atmosphere. We had a fantastic evening and would love to come back here again.

We had a lovely evening out at La Mia. Delicious starter, bruschettas, and a plate with delicious cheese and cold cuts. For the main course, my wife had the steak, which was wonderfully tender and medium rare; I had the ribeye, which was unfortunately very salty but tender. We have rarely been helped so kindly and nicely as during our evening at La Mia. What incredibly sweet and enthusiastic people they have working there! The atmosphere is informal and cozy, and the tables are not too close together (thankfully). The food selection is great, with something for everyone, and we really enjoyed it. The prices are also clear and, as far as we are concerned, really fine. We left feeling satisfied and will definitely be back again.

Recently, I had a special request for Merel & Daniël. I was giving an outdoor workshop in the dunes behind Santpoort, and I wanted to have lunch right in the middle of the dune area. This turned out to be a wonderful experience. Delivered by bike, everything in a large backpack because the bike couldn't get there; amazing service. And above all: it was delicious! Delicious sciacciata sandwiches, various salads and fresh juices, and as a surprise, tasty cannoli too. In short: it was fantastic! Both in terms of taste and experience.

Once again, we enjoyed the chef's menu, just like before. A lovely long meal with a delicious dish to share every time.

We haven't had such a delicious Italian meal in a long time. We had a truly fantastic evening. The food and music were just perfect, and the staff were very friendly. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Unfortunately, the photos are only of our teramisu being prepared at the table. Other dishes were also beautiful and delicious. This is no ordinary pizzeria; they cook Italian food at a high level.

We were a group of five, and while the service was generally friendly, the food was a major disappointment. The €18 pasta plate as a starter was very small and lacked much flavor. The main course, the Saltimbocca, was a veal steak with a single sage leaf. So, if you're expecting thin slices of veal with prosciutto, fresh sage, and a Marsala and butter jus... alas, we got something completely different. A hunk of veal steak with a vaguely white sauce. The bavette also came with a strange white sauce that lacked flavor. And the lack of vegetables, potatoes, or salad was a shame. But the biggest disappointment was the Tiramisu. With Amaretto instead of Marsala... okay, it works. But making a Tiramisu à la minute simply doesn't work; the espresso flavor was missing, and the mascarpone and whipped cream mixture that was drizzled on top was tasteless and watery. A good tiramisu simply needs to set for at least 24 hours for the flavors to develop, and you can taste the difference immediately. A huge disappointment, especially when the bill arrived, as the prices here are quite high for what you get. We won't be returning, unfortunately!

Cute little restaurant. It was our first visit to this restaurant and while we had read mostly positive reviews about it we were holding our expectations down a bit to reduce the risk of being disappointed. The "compound" is made up of two separate sections: a wine bar and the main dining area. I would strongly advise to arrive some time before your scheduled reservation to warm up at the wine bar. They've got many options to choose from and it's actually a cosy place. The restaurant itself is manned by very friendly young people who speak very good English and will help explain what the options are and give you advice if requested. Having said this, I think all options are great, this is true Italian cuisine in Noord Holland. Prices are in line with the area. It's easy to speak while dining without having to raise your voice. Lights are kept at a level which further enhanced the cozy feeling of the place. We will most certainly return. I cannot think of anything to suggest for improvement, it was just perfect and worth every euro. Last but not the least, ensure you've got a reservation as walk ins may have to wait a long time.

IT'S NOT AN ITALIAN RESTAURANT, BUT A RESTAURANT THAT IMITATES ITALIAN CUISINE. Five of us went, we waited an hour and couldn't eat because of the wait. They charge €6 for bread. The dishes on the menu are few but "good." The pasta isn't Italian, and you can tell right away. The main courses are good but not special. The combinations are good, but not like those of an Italian restaurant. I wouldn't go back.

We were at this restaurant for the first, but also the last time. I made a reservation for our son's birthday. I mentioned this as well. Unfortunately, nothing was done about it. Upon arrival, we had to wait because our table was dirty. Then we were allowed to sit down. The restaurant has a long, narrow hallway, which is not ideal if you sit on the hallway side because the staff and guests are walking back and forth there. After a long wait, we were able to place our order. After waiting for almost an hour and a half and asking the staff twice where our food was, the "Italian" bread with Italian spreads was finally served. The bread was far from Italian, just a regular baguette. Then the men ordered thinly sliced ​​vitello tonnato. It was definitely not thinly sliced, with a spoonful of tuna sauce in the middle. I had bruschetta, which was okay. My son ordered spaghetti with Parmesan cheese. It didn't look very appetizing, and it wasn't. Then the men ordered a steak and another a bavette. That was all that was on the plate. We ordered some fries and a salad. The fries were thickly covered in melted cheese and mayonnaise—brrrr—and the salad wasn't even chopped lettuce with a few pieces of sun-dried tomatoes and more melted cheese. It looked truly unappetizing. And the meat, meh... the service was rather chaotic, though friendly. It's a shame we won't be returning to this restaurant. As a consolation, they did deduct the first drinks from the price, thank you.

Delicious food. We had the 4-course chef's menu. However, we had to wait much longer for dessert. This wasn't because they were slow, but because they were serving 6 or 7 dishes. It was a very nice outing for my colleagues. The wine bar next door is also very nice and cozy. I'm a big fan of La Mia!

It's a shame that for a €28 main course... there were no vegetables or anything on the side. Just meat with sauce. We couldn't even order vegetables... because I'm allergic to tomatoes and bell peppers, the only side dish (€8) was just a grilled lettuce leaf. Missed opportunity! A few vegetables on the side... would be nice! The wine was delicious... a bottle of Montepulciano D'Abruzzo (€34), luckily it provided a lovely buzz to offset the meager food. The starter was also minimal, but the dessert, a slice of pistachio cheesecake, was super delicious, even though it was quite expensive (€13). Unfortunately, it didn't arrive until after the coffee had already been served. The atmosphere was nice and cozy... but we wouldn't really return. When we made the reservation, we mentioned it was for a birthday, but nothing was done about it. We were able to choose our own table upon arrival. A bit of a shame! 😔

We had La Mia cater a colleague's farewell party. What a fantastic experience. Short notice, clear agreements. And then the execution. We arrived at the canteen, which had been transformed into an Italian restaurant. The food was fantastic, and we were pleasantly surprised by the presentation. And they were so relaxed. Expectations were greatly exceeded. Highly recommended!

The food is very good, but we arrived at the time we had reserved. We weren't served quickly, so to speak, and it took us maybe 45 minutes to get our first course. Then we got second courses and dessert. Then they brought the coffee and liqueur we'd ordered, and the waiter, with the card machine, came to pay the bill and said, "I'll bring your coats." Wow, we hadn't even tasted the coffee and liqueur. Okay, it's a business model of timed tables, but this was incredibly rude. The other guests were waiting for their table, but who's supposed to manage their time properly? So that's a bad experience.

We had a lovely meal with a group of seven. Delicious wines and a selection of diverse dishes (including bruschetta, pasta, meat, and fish). The attentive and informal service matched the group's atmosphere perfectly—no fuss.

We ate here a few weeks ago, a 4-course chef's menu. For €48 per person, the first two courses for two were okay, but certainly not lavish. However, the main course (steak with side dish) and the dessert (cheesecake) were just as generous as if they were for one person. I think the steak for two was about 125 to 150 grams, and the dessert was completely unusual: just one small piece of cheesecake for the two of us. It would be especially strange if you weren't eating there as a couple, but as colleagues, for example, having to share everything from one plate. So, a shame all round; it was the first and last time for us.
