Delicious, trying everything, very enjoyable. The chef's soup...I could have eaten a pot of wild mushroom soup. We will definitely be back.

We had a delicious meal there last night. It was cozy and we will definitely come back again.

We've been here many times before. We had a wonderful meal this weekend, too. The dishes were beautiful and delicious. The service was excellent. The owner wasn't at his best, but everyone has their bad days. What struck us most was how dirty it was. You could barely see through the windows; there was a lot of dust on the side frames. The radiators were dirty, and the bathroom mirror wasn't clean either. We noticed this, and it wasn't something we were used to.

Highly recommended! Why? Well, because the six of us just had a delicious lunch. We "had to" share everything we ordered, which was presented with exquisite care. The excellent, hospitable service was very pleasant. We will definitely be back for a repeat performance.

We enjoyed a delicious two-course lunch here. We received a very friendly and professional welcome and were given a lovely spot in the garden (it was wonderfully warm). We sought shelter under the tent/shade cloth. We were given a small soup beforehand, followed by a beautifully filled and presented lunch platter full of delicious snacks. Too many to mention. It was delicious. We'll be back soon.

We had a fantastic meal from 7:00 PM until almost 11:30 PM. We had three dishes each time, all of which were delicious. The large table was cozy, seating eight people, and the food and drinks flowed smoothly. We'll definitely be back.

We had a two-course lunch at this restaurant through a Social Deal. It was a great way to get acquainted... The food was truly delicious! The service was certainly friendly, but if you're offering a cheap deal, make sure your guests have plenty to drink. A missed opportunity! We sat for half an hour after our meals with empty glasses and no one in sight. The service was really bad at that point! When there was service, it was very friendly, that's true. We'd love to go back and try the menu!

Very nice place to eat, you feel more than welcome when you greet them and you keep that feeling all evening. Friendly, attentive and that in combination with delicious food. The menu offers more than enough choice, including vegetarian. Price is absolutely commensurate with quality

Had an unexpected 3-course menu on Monday. Unfortunately, not a photo of everything.

Yesterday on Valentine's Day I had a delicious meal with my wife, it was a pleasure with the accordionist who walked around with an appropriate noise level. The service was great, never had to wait for a drink and the food was great! In short, a great experience. Thank you Ambtshuis.

Had a delicious dinner last night in the official house. The service couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. They deserve a 10 and therefore get 5 stars.

I was recently allowed to enjoy a High Tea as a guest. The food was excellent, beautiful and tasty snacks and a delicious soup beforehand. Definitely good and even too much to taste everything. But….the tea!! Hasn't the Ambtshuis thought about the fact that a real High Tea also includes real tea? No… some cheap bags on the table, mainly tea with fruit flavors. A real High Tea requires really decent tea, so loose tea, and then a variety of black and green teas. And in the English way, a jug of milk and slices of lemon. Only then is it a High Tea. Another thing: the acoustics of this venue make any company talking deafening. Perhaps the Ambtshuis can do something about the design (with professional advice) to dampen the noise a bit.

Had dinner here last Sunday (29-12-2024) and it was really fantastic! The menu design is unique and a lot of fun: you can choose multiple starters (three per round) and even have another round if you want to try more. This was followed by three main courses and three desserts. The portions are nicely sized, which is perfect for sharing and discovering different flavors together. The dishes were all delicious, with great attention to detail and taste. In addition, the service deserves a big compliment: friendly, attentive and professional. The atmosphere in the restaurant made the evening complete. We will definitely come back here again! Definitely recommended for lovers of good food in a cozy atmosphere.

We ate here with a group and we would like to give 5 stars! What fun it was to eat here! First of all, the service was super friendly and welcoming. The dishes were all very tasty and the time between servings was perfect. We were able to sit outside on the attractive terrace. The only tip I would like to give is: put some nicer candles on the tables. I thought what was there now looked a bit like grave candles.

Went for lunch with a fairly large group. Ordered a lunch board for 2 people because my neighbor at the table wanted it and I thought it was good... and that board was very well taken care of. Tasty products and enough. The bouncer that my neighbor ordered also looked good. Didn't hear anyone from the fairly large group who had negative comments about the service and the food.

We had a nice meal outside on a Saturday evening when the weather was nice. It was very busy, almost doubling what they could fit inside, but we didn't notice anything. I didn't eat there, so I can't say anything about that. But the restaurant is attractively decorated and they have a clean toilet. The half-covered garden is attractively decorated and illuminated by large candles. There is also ample parking.

Today on Easter Sunday we had brunch with the family at 't Ambtshuis.(8vlwssn/3kndrn) Very well cared for! The good service ensures that you don't miss anything. Started with a nice soup and then the food just kept coming. Delicious Belgian rolls, sandwiches, wraps and crostinis. Hot dishes such as mini quiches, sausage rolls, chicken strips, etc. Various sweets such as cinnamon rolls, muffins and bowies. Actually too many to mention. And to end, a delicious dessert board with all kinds of tasty things. There was also plenty to do for the children. They had fun face painting, could choose something nice from the gift basket, look for eggs in the terrace garden, coloring pages and balloons. We enjoyed it, and the children perhaps even more! Thank you Team 't Ambtshuis!

Made a stopover in Kesteren and had lunch at the official house, delicious food, service was very friendly and fast service, we will remember this!!.

A beautiful building located at Kerkstraat 6 in Kesteren. Hip and attractively decorated. We chose the tasting for 2 people. Delicious mustard soup, several slices of baguette topping with cappacio, raw ham, mini club sandwich, and hot dishes. Served on a long plank. The owner is very friendly and gives you the time to choose something tasty from the menu. Detail in the glass of the ice tea was a bunch of berries, a slice of lemon and ice cubes. Cozy tent. We will definitely come back.

A fun and delicious shared dinner format

Wij hadden iets te vieren en gingen voor het eerst naar ‘t Ambtshuis. Wij zijn erg fan van tapas, dus het nieuwe shared dining concept vonden we echt top. Voor kleine en normale eters is 3 rondes meer dan genoeg. Wij zijn zeer ervaren en goedgetrainde tapas eters🤣, dus wij deden 4 rondes, maar na 3 rondes zat ik eigenlijk ook al vol. Alles was super lekker en kwalitatief. Heel vriendelijk personeel. Op donderdagavond was ‘t goed druk, maar niet té druk. Beter wel even reserveren want ze zijn erg populair. Wij zaten er in totaal 3 uur en raden ‘t zeker aan!

Vanavond heerlijk gegeten bij t ambtshuis! Super leuk concept en aandacht besteed aan het eten! Super gastheer die zeker laat zien dat hij er verstand van heeft en ook nog een gezellig is! Wij hebben heerlijk genoten op de maandag avond! Bedankt toppers ga zo door!

Niet alleen heeft t Ambtshuis sinds begin van deze maand een nieuwe eigenaar, maar ook een geheel nieuwe warme, sfeervolle inrichting. Heerlijk geluncht met vriendin, volop keuze van een geheel nieuwe lunchkaart. Binnenkort met vriendinnen ook het diner Shared Dining concept uitproberen! Restaurant t Ambtshuis echt een aanwinst voor Kesteren en omgeving!!

Gezellig eetcafé. Aardige mensen daar. Lekkere lunchgerechten. Wat kleine puntjes op de i zetten (kaarsje aansteken als dat nog niet gedaan is op je tafel en servetjes aanvullen voor er nieuwe gasten komen) en dan zijn het 5 sterren. We komen vast nog eens terug.

Gezellige plek, de ontvangst was hartelijk. Het eten smaakte. Ons werd "het grote ambtsgeheim" geadviseerd "onze specialiteit". Inderdaad proefde je veel van wat er op de kaart stond, maar van ons had er wat meer verassends tussen mogen zitten. De sangria zijn mooie grote glazen. De bierkaart redelijk groot. Bediening probeerde duidelijk de aandacht te verdelen, al was het soms wat in golven. Wellicht vanwege de grote groep binnen. Dat maakte bijvoorbeeld dat we een tweede maal na een kwartier moesten vragen om een glaasje water te krijgen. Al met al is het een veilige keuze, wat misschien ook goed past in de omgeving. Mochten we hier weer belanden zouden we gaan voor de losse tapas.

Prima restaurant in Kesteren. De koffie (cappuccino) is erg goed. Helaas geen gebak of iets voor bij de koffie, naast de desserts. Mede daarom geen aanrader voor een snel 'bakkie'. Personeel / eigenaar is zeer vriendelijk.

We werden enorm goed ontvangen, de sfeer is gezellig en het eten is echt aan te raden! :)
