Great food, relaxed atmosphere, good quality ingredients.

We were rudely shown the door. It was supposedly full. Hardly any tables occupied, it was 4:30 in the afternoon.

Had a delicious meal here with friends. Great atmosphere and delicious meat.

Wonderfully relaxed atmosphere with very friendly staff and excellent food. The view over the IJssel River with the sunset is a nice bonus.

Lovely spot with a great menu. It's a shame it was so difficult to get in touch with the staff. The girl who brought our order didn't make eye contact and barely said anything. We waited for at least ten minutes to pay before anyone came to our table. Clearly a lot of inexperienced staff who still have a lot to learn in this area. The location and atmosphere are great, so with a little guidance from the staff, it's easy to score a solid 9!

Never before had such terrible service. We waited 50 minutes for our drinks. We received a draft beer and a mojito, but the mojito was undrinkable. And it didn't even look like it. All the tables were still dirty or had empty glasses on them. We weren't bothered by anything. We ended up paying the full price. We were incredibly disappointed and left with empty stomachs.

Such a really good meal. And a lovely homely atmosphere.

Starter was fine... asparagus soup 9.50 Main course .. tournedos...32.95.was fried with butter it said on the menu....was tasteless..well fried...asked for a carafe of water with the wine.....5.95. With the dishes fries, salad had to be paid extra...3 persons 184 euros too expensive for what you got....

What a wonderful discovery, this charming family business on the IJssel! At Restaurant 't Veerhuys you immediately feel welcome, partly thanks to the warm welcome by the owner Margriet. You can taste her passion for hospitality and good food in everything. The dishes are honest, seasonal and prepared with care, often with beautiful regional products. It is warm and cozy inside, with the wood stove in the winter, and in the summer you can sit under the trees with a fantastic view of the river. Highly recommended for a nice dinner or lunch with family or friends.

Location: 10 Atmosphere:10 Service: 8 Food: 6 plus Ate here with mixed feelings. The tempura prawns were delicious, but the veal escalope was tough, almost impossible to cut with a steak knife, presentation was ok...but the vegetables were really sparse. Dessert was delicious again. So I add up to a 6 plus. Shame. Meat was not matured enough. The environment was special, chickens and rooster walk freely around the tables and are there like the chickens if someone drops something 😂

Very good food. Had our own smoked salmon was delicious. Booked through social deals and really value for money.

'T Veerhuys is a nice place to go out for dinner. The atmosphere is cozy, the staff friendly and the food of excellent quality. The portions are generous and the price-quality ratio is good. Moreover, the view is beautiful, which completes the experience. Definitely recommended!

Completely in the Christmas spirit, cozy with many old items. Good food, missed an amuse or something like that. The delicious sea bass was excellent, Dordogne mushrooms, wonderfully crispy and fresh! Carpaccio definitely recommended, a sandwich with a starter would be recommended. We ate outside on the edge of the terrace where the chickens were scratching around on the lawn. On one side the IJssel where the ferry sails and on the other side the attractive restaurant, especially when the lights come on at dusk. Delicious food, nice hostess, informal atmosphere and good quality/price ratio.

Good food in itself. However, the menu contains a summer offer of a main course 'tasting of all starters' fixed price per person, for €19.95 per person. You are not told that you will pay extra for fries and salad at €6.50 per bowl. If you want to start a conversation about that, there appears to be no room for that. Shame! It's also a pity that I cannot respond to the response of 11-8-24 12:25 here. Because while she knows perfectly well that we knew perfectly well that it was a 'per person' price, she now pretends that we are stupid and did not notice that, while what we care about is that there will be additional costs, which have not been communicated. Too bad you're twisting the matter further. If you had given us some discount (you already indicated that there was a lesson for you) it would have been resolved immediately and no negative review would have appeared here. My compliments to the kitchen, because it is very good.

Tournedos is quite pricey, and you can expect quite a bit. A cold inside is very disappointing. The tuna and the tasting, on the other hand, were fine.

Very tasty meal. Friendly neat service. The restaurant could be more accessible to John with the Cap. This is not due to the price, the food or the service. The appearance looks too fancy if you ask me.

Ate in last Sunday 't Veerhuys. A treat for me, from my dear brother and dear sister-in-law. Beautiful place, the evening sun illuminated the IJssel and floodplains. Very hospitable reception. The starter tasting was beautifully presented and it was an explosion of flavours. The main course was also delicious. Finally, 't Veerhuys coffee. In short, it was thoroughly enjoyable. The team, the food and the ambiance get a 10 from me!!!

Dusty. Old can be nice, but please don't leave any rubbish on the terrace. No fresh fruit in the sorbets. Service extremely friendly. Raise the terrace! Do you see the IJssel that is so close.

Goed eten maar zeer amateuristische bediening. We moesten erg lang wachten om te kunnen bestellen en de rekening te krijgen, er werd maar een keer gevraagd of we iets wilden drinken. Gastvrouw was gestrest en daarom niet vriendelijk. Op het terras lopen kippen en hanen die continu kraaien, voor mensen met een hond ook erg onhandig...

Wij hebben zondag 4 juni heerlijk op het terras gezeten in de zon bij de IJssel. Wat een prachtige plek. De bediening het eten alles was meer dan goed. Echt een aanrader.

Mooi terras met uitzicht over de IJssel we hebben heel lekker gegeten met diverse vlees en visgerechten en salades met een fijne bediening en een goede sfeer.. Het was een geslaagde middag met familie. Bedankt voor alles

Heerlijk terras waar je lekker kunt zitten

Gezellig & gastvrij en... verrukkelijk gegeten onder gezelschap van vrienden en... pauw, eenden en kippen. Lekker huiselijk in de restauranttuin aan de IJssel.

Lekker gegeten. Leuke ambiance. Vegetarisch matig. Gelukkig houd ik van vis.Lekkere toetjes! Wat mediterrane groenteschotels,eventueel met feta en olijven, peulvruchten etcetera, maar dan als warm gerecht, dus geen salade, zouden wel lekker zijn.

Heerlijk eten en drinken, een zeer vriendelijke bediening, op een prachtige locatie. Binnen zeer sfeervol en buiten bevindt zich het mooiste terras van Nederland. Een absolute aanrader!

Vanmiddag geluncht in de tuin bij restaurant ‘t Veerhuys. Genoten van heerlijke mosterdsoep, zalm/asperges en een toetje. Gezellige sfeer en top bediening. Bijzonder was het uitzicht op de IJssel en de aanwezigheid van pauwen, kalkoenen, kippen en hanen op kleine afstand. Prima parkeergelegenheid. Wij komen hier zeker nog eens.

Heerlijke lieve plek om steeds weer terug te komen. Prachtig gelegen parel aan de oever van de IJssel. Zeer goed en lekker eten! Zorgzame bediening. Leuke inrichting met bijzondere oude spullen. Uitstekend geprijsd. Kortom een aanrader! Ohja de kleine handdoekjes op het toilet. Dat is zo fijn je handen wassen 🍀
