We had an incredibly delicious meal on the terrace. Delectable bread with olives to start. My partner was outspokenly complimentary about the flavorful filo pastry bites, generously filled with feta. And I sincerely thanked the chef for the Chicken Toro; a fantastic and exceptionally tasty combination. Reason enough to come back!

Most employees are enthusiastic, but the owner is not. We were talking to him and he started sighing and rolling his eyes; very unprofessional. Also, the food you get is not commensurate with the price. Adjustment following the owner's response: I am NOT a former employee of your company 😊 If you can prove it, go ahead. The fact that one Lieke worked for you does not mean that there are no other Liekes.

Mediocre quality and quantity for your money...

Very friendly service. They accommodated special requests (omelet with more eggs). One small point that could be improved is the cleanliness of the outdoor terrace. It's not really dirty, but it could easily be cleaned with a broom.

Last weekend I celebrated my 40th birthday with a group of 19 people in total. Everything was arranged perfectly by Gabriel and his team. The food was exceptional; I didn't hear a single negative comment from my guests. Personal attention and, above all, passion and flexibility. Asking if we could order dessert... Sure, bring it on! Everything was perfect for us! Highly recommended! Everything on the menu is simply good.

We just wanted to have a glass of wine, enjoy the sunshine, and relax. Only a few tables were occupied. The waiter clearly saw us sitting down. After 15 minutes, even though he was constantly visible outside, he just stood there for minutes without any action. We had to be quite forceful in getting his attention, and after ordering the wine, it took several more minutes. This pattern continued throughout the entire experience. When our glasses were empty, there was no reaction, even though we might have wanted more. It took another 15 minutes before the server came to our table so we could finally pay for our wine. This is not what service should be, nor does it give the impression that anyone is even remotely interested in working. Add to that his serious, dismissive manner. I would never stop there again.

We had made a reservation for two at 8:00 PM and had a fantastic meal: lamb with plums and lamb with vegetables in red wine sauce. The service was super friendly and the atmosphere very relaxed and warm. We will definitely do this more often!

Small Spanish restaurant with a terrace. The food was tasty, but the portions are not very large and it is not cheap. We were there on Saturday evening and two tables were occupied while other neighboring restaurants were full. We felt there was a lack of atmosphere and the staff was friendly but not warm. Toilets in the basement (down the stairs). We had a nice meal there.

The price-quality ratio is disproportionate. I feel like you don't get much for what you pay. We had tapas, meat, and fish. The tapas were very basic and not very good quality. The dessert we ordered later was also still frozen inside. Unfortunately, not what you expect considering what you pay. A shame!

We were really looking forward to this evening: delicious tapas at a Spanish restaurant. Both my daughters are half Spanish, and they always ate this food at their grandparents' house when they were growing up. When we ordered, the waiter gave us a strange look: two tapas platters? That's far too little. We were momentarily bewildered, but we ordered them anyway. The waiter wasn't happy, and it was clearly shown nonverbally. We were more than satisfied with our tapas, and when we paid, I was approached disinterestedly again. Apparently, we hadn't eaten or invested enough.

Very bad unfriendly staff food mediocre but nice city with lots of fun

I was initially hesitant given the negative reviews here and the fact that the terrace was quite empty compared to the surrounding terraces, but it exceeded my expectations. Very friendly and efficient service and a cozy spot on the terrace. The food was delicious and carefully prepared. The Argentinian steak was perfect, wonderfully tender and well-seasoned. The lamb stew was delicious and refined. The desserts were also delicious and beautifully presented. We enjoyed ourselves and can highly recommend this restaurant.

Ordered tapas meat. It had very little flavor and was truly subpar. I mentioned it to the young waitress, and when she responded, "We don't hear much," the waiter jokingly asked if everything had been to your liking. He explained that he had already politely mentioned it to a colleague and that it was very disappointing. He had two attempts, but they didn't bother to resolve it properly. So afterward, we went to Vaticano, the Italian restaurant, and had a delicious meal there, and the prices were much better, so we understand why it was busy there and quiet at Toro. Take advantage of it.

What a great evening we had at Restaurant Toro in Zutphen! From the moment we walked in we felt extremely welcome. The atmosphere is warm and cozy, really perfect for a night out. The food was fantastic! The paella was delicious and the meat from the grill was perfectly prepared. Everything tasted fresh and the plates looked beautiful. The wine that was recommended to us also paired perfectly with the food. The service was super friendly and really made us feel like we were being spoiled. Moreover, the terrace outside is beautiful, with a view of the beautiful Wijnhuistoren. We really enjoyed it and can't wait to come back again. An absolute must if you are in Zutphen!

Ordered tapas, but half of them were cold and tasteless. Figs with goat cheese and bacon was very dry and tough. Tapas all came at the same time on 1 plate but were not all prepared at the same time because more than half were lukewarm or cold. Garnish (cucumber) with the tapas was dried out. Puff pastry snack with minced meat was much drier. Definitely not the best tapas I've ever eaten. Quite a nice location.

Reuze gezellig restaurant, vaak geweest, heerlijk eten. Deze keer viel de paella echter nogal tegen, dat is dus geen aanrader. De Dorado en Aubergine waren voortreffelijk.

The food is substandard in all aspects.

Heerlijk gegeten, bacalao en zalm. Gezellig en origineel ingerichte zaak met mooie dingen, niet standaard nep-chic. Prachtig Spaans servies en heel aardig personeel, beslist een aanrader.

Restaurant heeft weinig met aangeprezen tapas te maken. Gewone standaard hapjes van goede kwaliteit. Het heeft echter niets met Spaanse tapas te maken. Muziek was zeer aanwezig. Binnen erg tochtig. Geen slecht restaurant voor de prijs, maar verwacht er niet te veel van.

This is a super bad restaurant. We had dinner there with 8 people. The food was all mediocre for the money paid (350€). I only got 3 prawns in meat, both meat and prawn were as dry as cork, the starter was also not of special quality and also overcooked, dry; total 41 euros. We had fun and we had a nice waitress. She really tried her best. But her boss doesn't let her keep the tip. It's a scammer, a fake Italian in a 🇪🇸 restaurant. We all ended up paying fairly in front of the waitress. Yet the scammer owner claimed there was a shortage of 6.30 euros on the bill, which is completely incorrect because we had included a 10 euro tip on the bill. So the boss deducts tips from the bill and calculates things that were not there. He appropriated the cash tip, and appropriated the pinned tip, the waitress had to cry when giving back her honestly earned tip (it is legally prohibited to do this, but so you can see that the LAW does not work). I didn't get what I ordered. everything was neatly taken back, including from my husband. I ordered the prawns wrapped in veal and received 3 prawns in garlic oil. they were dry and I didn't taste them because there was no flavor to them. this is recommended on the menu. it's really not enough. I also think my husband's plate has been under a lamp. an expensive steak with mushrooms and pesto and garlic. meat was dry and tough. very poor quality. Given the high prices, it is really not okay in terms of price-quality ratio. this was once but never again.

Delicious food, beautiful location. We have quite a few adjustments to the food because of parts we are not allowed to eat. Really nothing was too crazy. There was a lot of input. very friendly staff and really good quality food. Never had such large shrimps before! Worth repeating.

It was lovely weather to go for another tour on our electric scooter and we arrived at Toro restaurant in Zutphen and had a delicious meal at this Argentinian restaurant.

Our visit on March 26, 2022 was a new low point in our Dutch catering experiences. Before we were seated we were asked what we wanted to drink (turnover!). We said no not yet. We then had to wait half an hour for our drink. We ordered 2× tapas menu: vegetarian and mix. We had to wait an hour for our food. When the owner finally brought the food, he snapped at us that it was far too little for us. When we asked if we could get another drink, the owner snapped "maybe!". The quality of the food was very poor, just dirty and there were also things missing that should be included according to the menu. Poor service, rude owner, unappetizing food. Luckily the ice cream shop was open so we could have an ice cream. This review was initially rejected so it was posted again. Hence the date March 26, 2022. But it made a crushing impression, making us remember everything down to the minute.

I hope I don't get sick Chose this restaurant with four stars on Google. After ordering we found out about the bad reviews and yes, they lived up to it. We ordered two tapas menus and we were looking forward to them, but everything was disappointing. For 2 tapas menus worth 41 euros we got a few fried snacks, 2 mini sandwiches, two meatballs and some fish things. It was gone within 5 minutes, not that it was that tasty. But because it was so little and okay it wasn't tasty either. Looking back at the staff in the kitchen, the laconic attitude of the kitchen staff did not feel good and gave me the impression that we could get sick from the food. What we are satisfied with is that the fir tree was so close and we were able to get some remaining groceries there for 13 euros so that we could still feel somewhat satisfied. In short, if you have spent a total of 15 minutes in the restaurant and have spent 60 euros further, you already know enough.

This afternoon on a beautiful King's Day, I had a glass of malbec and chardonnay with my wife and ordered fried mussels and squid rings. The service was excellent, friendly staff, the price-quality ratio of the four squid rings for 5 euros gets a 5 from us, but the 10 fried mussels were barely manageable. Downright disgusting, my wife and I came to the same conclusion after the first mussel. So leave the rest. After a comment about this during the bill, the operator immediately reacted angrily. “That depends on your taste, sir”, but I really don't compromise on the price, my mussels are good, as if I were fishing for a price reduction. I had not even asked for a price reduction, but this gentleman's brutal customer-unfriendly, commercially unwise response makes me never eat here again. I hope this gentleman is at least friendlier to his staff.

Price is very expensive for what you get. Carpaccio was so cold that your molars hurt! Big chunks of cheese on top. This was not a beauty prize in terms of appearance or taste. Mixes grill with a Citroën on it. And it was. You also have to pay €5 for your potatoes. No, we won't be coming back here again!

Sorry, but not good enough. You can't serve steaks and tenderloin without asking how it should be prepared. Now one steak was too rare, the tenderloin was fried for far too long (tough) and the pork tenderloin remained in the pan too long and was therefore dry. If the fried potatoes were the best, it's not right. Appetizers (salads, with beef tenderloin tips and minced lamb skewers) were reasonable at best. It is good to see that there are several types of salads on the menu, but give them a bit of their own character and a little more attention. Now all salads are the same (no special dressing, bland) with the only difference being the extra on or in it. This same salad is also served as the only vegetable with the main courses. Location is beautiful, restaurant has potential in terms of appearance and decoration. Friendly service. But kitchen needs quality. Tip: maybe reduce the menu a bit and definitely prepare meat with more skill. It's really not that difficult to prepare tenderloin properly. And just ask the guest how he likes his steak.

Lekker eten en super vriendelijke bediening. Je moet geen haast hebben. Het is een klein restaurant en er wordt met aandacht gekookt. Dorade en Steak met chimi churri. French coffee ok maar helaas met spuitslagroom. Baklava ijstoet. Komen zeker terug.

Een gezellig klein restaurant. We hebben echt super goed gegeten. Alles was op. De bediening ook super vriendelijk. Echt een aanrader voor mensen en ik kom zeker nog een keer terug.

Wij hebben hier vanmiddag heerlijk geluncht en vinden het een gezellige gelegenheid met een fijne bediening ook! Als we kunnen komen we zeker terug voor avondeten!!

Vanmiddag tijdens een fietstocht min of meer toevallig op het terras van dit leuke restaurant beland. Een mooie kaart met meer dan voldoende keuze uit de lekkerste authentieke gerechten. Zeer vriendelijke en attente bediening. Ook binnen zag het er goed uit. We komen graag nog eens terug voor een diner.

Afgelopen zaterdag heb ik met vrienden bij jullie gegeten. Bij de reservering heb ik vermeld dat we een bezoek aan de bioscoop gepland hadden. We zijn goed ontvangen en zelfs nadat een deel van mij gezelschap de trein hadden gemist konden we toch op tijd genieten van jullie keuken kunsten! Bedankt voor de gastvrijheid en het meedenken!
